Ha that was great. Finally some one ( I bet a Muslim)asked a factual question and got pummeled by the bloodthirsty facts in the Koran. The whole world needs to wake up to this.
I am sure if this person had to make a come back at you he would do the usual "but, but the Bible is full of violence" etc argument.
How one defines "violence" and "administration of justice" regarding disbelievers -- could be the difference here; after all, "does is mean is?
the bible....for the gentiles, which have not the law,do by nature the things contained in the law, these having not the law,are a law unto themselves.romans 2:14...whice show the work of the law written in their hearts.their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accuusing or else excusing one another.romans 2:15....where did paul say to grab a gun, knife or bomb?
accusing..yes i do speak english.
I do not have a Koran. Could you print out the referencd information?
Robert or Hugh,
Can you post the links you are using to cross-reference these suras? In the past few weeks there were two links posted. One went to USA-MSA at
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/reference/searchquran.html
The other I cannot remember and did not bookmark, but it was very easy to use as it had search terms which you could click and get relevant suras. You help would be appreciated by all!
I hope someone asks you to do the same for the Hadith.
I didn't know Stevie Wonder took an interest in the Islamic religion.
Sad that people still think there is no religious war going on. As Muslims flex their muscles they are removing freedom of speech, they are manipulating the mindsets of countries, and their hitmen are killing anyone in their way - of global domination.
RS, did you ask Juan Cole why he was e-mailing you with stupid questions when he was supposed to be in class dumbing down his impressionable students?
For a complete list for the evil in the Quran
- Cruelty & Violence - 333 items
- Intolerance - 410 items
- Injustice - 537 items
This is to name the 3 main categories. Personally, I prefer reading the absurdities section just for a few laughs (88 items), or else, like Robert says, it's just grim, grim, grim.In case anybody was wondering, the good stuff is just 66 items.
I just wish there was such a ready reference for ahadith, sira and tafsir
Just compare the teachings and examples of Jesus and mohammed. One gave his life for all mankind, the other got his sexual kicks with a 9 year old girl and was a cold blooded murderer.
Celsius:mo sang got my kicks at 666
The one thing we can all be certain of regarding Islam: this so-called "religion" will continue killing people.
This is sooooo good. Thank you so much for this post. There is a Doctor where I work that is Muslim and he is constantly coming up to me and confronting me with his opinion, comments, beliefs etc. all against America, all against our troops, the war, President Bush you name it. I get so angry I can feel my blood boiling.
No No. We have it all wrong! We're the ones defaming Islam.
West bent on defaming Islam

SRINAGAR, May 11 (SANA): Asking the people to follow the teachings of Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Chairman Hurriyat Conference (A) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that there are certain elements in the Western and European countries that are hell bent on defaming Islam.
Delivering his speech during a seerat conference, Mirwaiz said that the religious scholars and the priests should play a more vibrant role so that the evil designs of some of the people are defeated. He added that Muslims all over the world should be united and they should the people who are trying to tarnish the image of Islam.
(How about uniting against the terroists who are tarnishing the image of Islam)
Commenting on the recently unearthed flesh trade scandal, Umar said that people should vehemently oppose such incidents and if it is not done then nobody can prevent this fire from spreading.
(Right - keep the truth underwraps)
He added that same teachings have been put forward by the revered Prophet and it is binding on every Muslim to follow them.
(What teachings is her referring to?)
I do not have a Koran. Could you print out the referencd information?

Those who disobey Allah and his messenger will be burnt with fire and suffer a painful doom. 4:14

Could this be the impetus for iran to develope nukes?????????
Texican: Almost any bookstore or library will carry an edition or two of the Kuran. Check one out at your leisure. That should be plenty.
Anyone looking for an Online Qu'ran click google results Here
I think the request was from a Muslim troll, to waste time, or some doofus who just got onto the internet. Anyone with any experience knows that they can google and find ALMOST anything, alas not all books or pages of all books are on the internet, but the Qur'an is as is the hadith by Bukhari
At Site
You can search the hadith of
Sahih Bukhari (complete collection)
Sahih Muslim (complete collection)
Sunan Abu-Dawud (partial collection)
Malik's Muwatta
Is there a particular version, or versions, of the Koran that is a more accurate (not white-washed) translation?
I'm thinking of all the different translations of the Bible, and wondering if there are many different translations of the Koran as well.
... and other than the means to achieve the same goal, how is The Koran different from The Turner Diary? Oh. ,,, I know, the smoke-screen of 'Religion of Peace'. You see, noone, not even a fiction writer, could come up with a cover as benign, to maximize the devastation. Pretty clever (so what if it is hypocritical, al-taquiyya is a business-as-usual Islamic practice), isn't it?
Robert,
You rascal! What a tour de force. Talk about economy of expression. I just had to blog this outstanding piece on Sixth Column. Your article says so much more than just a recital of details.
Many thanks,
