(IsraelNN.com) Sweden has granted a Hamas leader a visa to enter the country, less than 48 hours after the country's prime minister insisted the visa would not be granted. Swedish media reported that its consulate general in Jerusalem issued the visa even though Sweden is "full square behind" western leaders' demands that the Hamas terror organization renounce violence and recognize Israel.
Get rid of the consulate in Jerusalem. Most Western consulates dealing with the "Palestinians" are full of sympathizers and collaborators with Islam. They are security risks; their affection for Muslim causes, or at least for the Lesser Jihad, makes them so -- and permanently. They should be drummed out of all the foreign services of the West. Never mind the Israelis. We Infidels in the West can't afford such people rising in our diplomatic services or government.

Well, maybe it's a good thing that the Swedes cut the Israelis out of their military exercise. I wouldn't want anyone like that "full square behind" me in a fight. I might feel that trickle between my shoulder blades.
This action by the Swedish government to support Hammas--a group that prides itself on targetting and slaughtering women and children--is surreal. I don't have anything personally against the Swedes, but their government at least has got to be changed. This action suggests that the Swedish government is either ignorant to an extent that makes them criminally negligent, or, quite possibly, deliberately anti-Semitic in its policies. Here they are supporting Hamas, the group whose Nazi-like charter includes a statement calling for the extermination of the Jewish people. This statement in the Hamas charter is straight from the "sahih" hadith, and is quoted and praised in the Palestinian media:

The swedes have made their own bed and regularly. Over the last 100 years they have managed to stay out of every major and minor war and to sell(like the Swiss) to both sides.
Swedish iron ore was what kept Krupp in business and directly the Nazi party. Many considered the Swedes to be the ultimate "fencesitters" but Swedes who did quite well out of the war(like Switzerland and the the USA but unlike the USSR and GB) saw themselves as a people of peace who run an independent policy right down the middle.
The swedes have it too easy and they no longer know how to fight for their own liberty. Just ask any one the Muslim gangs openly terrorising Stockholm. While they have contempt for all of they ridicule the swedes for their total gutlessness.
Don't be too hard on the Swedes - the person who probably granted Hamas a Visa was either:
1) A Muslim working in the immigration department - I mean have a look at your own country - here in Australia the Multi-Culti's have given them jobs in "all the right places"
2) It's just typical Euro anti-jew feelings boiling to the surface. And like all people/nations who have crapped on the Jews in the past - they will end up in the crap heap themselves.
3rdtimelucky...I would like to agree with you but feel that this decision was one made as a definite political decision by an elected representattive as Sweden seems to be now finding the Israeli apple a little sour.
However I do agree with your sentiment as I deal with the public service quite a lot and when one is on the line I am quite relieved to find that English is her/his first language and that I can actually understand her/him.
It seems that speaking English is not exactly a prime requisite while some may even think that doing so fluently may well be a disadvantage.
Unfortunately the article about Sweden granting a visa to a Hamas representative fails to explain exactly why this character needs to visit Sweden in the first place. As it is rather unlikely he will be going for a vacation it seems rather probable he will be on Hamas business. After finishing his mission in Sweden will he be stopping off in London to congratulate British MP George Galloway on the success of his pro-Islamic 'Respect' party which yesterday secured 11 seats in the local council election in Tower Hamlets in East London? The vote was declared in the shadow of London's tallest tower - Canary Wharf - ironically a building that would almost certainly be a jihadist target comparable to the Twin Towers if terrorists could ever achieve it. Galloway deliberately courts the Muslim vote, claims he longs to wade ashore with a sub-machine gun at Tel-Aviv in the first wave of the 'Palestinian liberation' and quaintly calls Jerusalem 'Al Quds' (not bad for a former communist who admires the late Holocaust-denying President Nasser of Egypt). I fear if Hamas representatives want to visit Britain they will mount a charm offensive, get VIP welcomes from Galloway, from London Mayor Ken Livingstone, from 'The Guardian' and 'The Independent' newspapers, from Channel 4 TV News and from the assorted ragbag of spokespeople for paper organisations that deign to inform the British government what Muslims find acceptable and what they don't and to whom the British government increasingly defers.
so the pimp Galloway has what ten seats out of how many, the majority of those in GB reject Galloway, he is a very loud minority, and people in GB have to treat him that way. no concessions to monsters like him, marginalize him. we have the crappy NDP which is so far left, makes Michael More look like a conservative church going minister! The NDP are also a very loud minority, and fortunately our Conservative government is treating them that way.

This is just the ruling socialist party trying to win votes among the 300 000 muslims living in Sweden. If it wasn't for their votes the socialists would have lost power already at the last election. It's election year and any other year I don't believe Hamas would have got the visum to enter the country.
The problem with European politics these days is that the muslim vote counts in the election day. And the muslim vote normally goes to the political left. There is going to be election in Sweden soon and Hamas visit plays into the hands of the ruling Social Democrats.
Still, I think and I hope that Persson's government will lose the election.

You shouldn't underestimate the Swedes. However, they may take a long time waking up.
A country that hasn't participated in any war within the last 200 years is not prepared for a conflict unless sufficiently provoked.
Everytime I think of the Swedes, the Norse, the Dans, I shake my head in sorrow, because I wonder where the bold independent spirit of the Viking went, then I recall Harrald Bluetooth and Olaf Trygvasson, who tamed the Norse, and introduced them to total subjugation (that they could rule more absoltely). Christianity tamed the wild Norse spirit, but it also introduced the fatal achilles heel. A fatal weakness which the Muslims do not suffer or share-- guilt.

Americans walk away from battle feeling guilty, especially if they have inadvertently killed women and children. Do you think Muslims feel guilty, ever. I don't, for all is the will of Allah, and to feel guilt would be to insult Allah.
This Christianized feeling of guilt has been both a blessing, a civilizing influence, but also a bane, it is these feelings of "guilt" that motivate the left.
The Swedish government is a disgrace, but please do not generalize. We also have an appalling, democratically elected (sic!) representatives (Alice, pass the sick bag!). Remember Roul Wallenberg and give the Swedes the benefit of the doubt. They will come back to their senses. I have trust in Europeans after the latest local elections in the UK! We Poles have voted the only common sense available at the moment - the Conservatives.
Saying "we" I meant the current loony Polish government, whose vice-president can pride himself on completing his education at the primary school level and competing against Imelda Marcos when it comes to his shoes collection!
