This Al-Qaeda Manual, discovered during an English terror raid, has been known for some time. I quoted from it recently, here and here. But here is a new story about it from Canada's Global National, with thanks to Cindy:
TORONTO -- A recent terror raid in England resulted in the discovery of a so-called 'Al Qaeda Manual,' a complex guide to waging Islamic Jihad -- from tips on organizing military bases in apartment hideouts to what Jihadists should do if they get caught by Western authorities -- with alarming real-life parallels in Canada's recent terror sweep investigation. The document, titled "The Al Qaeda Manual," was apparently discovered by Greater Manchester Police after a terror raid in the Manchester metropolitan area. It was apparently found on a computer and later translated into English, revealing an alarmingly militant doctrine.
"Alarmingly militant" only to those who haven't been paying attention up to now.
While Islamic leaders frequently spread a message of peace, the message in the manual's 'Declaration of Jihad' is entirely different, asking explicitly for a confrontation with a "dialogue of bullets, the ideals of assassination, bombing and destruction, and the diplomacy of the cannon and machine-gun."The document appears to contain eighteen lessons, and include complex instructions on such topics as:
- Obtaining counterfeit currency and forging documents,
- Organizing military bases,
- Means of communication and transportation,
- Training (for attacks),
- Buying and securing weapons,
- Espionage and intelligence-gatheringThe eighteenth lesson, titled "Prisons and Detention Centres," provides information to jihadist if they are captured and face trial; including instructions that encourage 'fighters' to claim torture and mistreatment while in prison and resort to hunger strikes if possible.
And it is these lessons that bear alarming similarity to claims being made in Canada's recent terror arrests.
Yes indeed.
Dear me. Jihad Manual has been around for several
years. Better Late than Never for Canadian Authorities, I suppose. Good Luck Canada 'cause think you're gonna' need it with so many Terrorists already in your country...
To be honest, I have been pleasantly surprised with some of the articles written in Canada since the arrests...Keep em coming, and keep asking the right questions!

Re: "The Al Qaeda Manual"
I'm sure that they are well aware of the pluralism, the sincere effort of many Western nations (thanks to the WW2 victory of the USA and the UK in Westen Europe) to bring to reality societies that are one people with mutual respect for different religious beliefs and opinions. This requires a respect for all kinds of minorities.
And so Islamic-supremacists scam the system and use pluralism for the submission of their hosts. I'm sure this includes the frame-up of Infidel Authority (as recently in the UK) in order to cripple the host from protecting its Infidel Citizens from this 21st century fascism.
It's all part of the jihad picture.
Morgane:
Thanks for the good wishes.
Yes, our country is infested with terrorists, by and large of the Islamic type. (We also have a contingent of the Tamil Tigers here, working over the sizable Tamil community for money. To the best of my knowledge, Sikh extremists are no longer committing acts of violence, though.)
Hard to tell, at this point, if our law enforcement authorities are as naive as some of Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair's comments following the recent arrest of the 17 thugs might suggest. But our new Prime Minister sure isn't cut from the same cloth as Jean "the Cretin" Chretien, who personally pressured the Pakistani government into springing one of Bin Laden's close buddies from custody because he fell for the guy's story about only working to raise charity funds (which didn't quite explain what he was doing in a hospital bed, recoving from battle injuries)or our idiot "root causes" mayor of Toronto, David Miller.
I think the general mood of the Canadian public is that we are fed up with being conned into giving shelter to Muslim extremists who aren't wanted in their countries of origin and with a larger Muslim community that hasn't, up until now at least, tipped the authorities off about the mosques and madrassas that are hotbeds of jihad.
I am not crazy about Tarek Fatah, the main spokesman for a secular Muslim organization, but in the wake of the arrests, Fatah made a public statement warning the government against funding Islamic schools as there is a great danger that they are incubators for jihaddism. He also helped muster forces against Sharia courts in Ontario and made pretty strong and unequivocal statements acknowledging the predisposition of Muslims towards using terror. Given the size of the young Muslim population in the Greater Toronto Area, and the presence of jihad ideology, Fatah is taking some pretty big risks.
It all depends, does it not, on how much this manual - whose instructions are well known among those of us who follow these things - is actually publicized by the Canadian media, so that, for instance, the Canadian public know what to think of claims of torture? Here in Britain, for instance, the media have kept rigorously shtum about it all, though they indubitably knew it, and most British people are going to seriously believe every lie that the prisoners have been taught to tell. The effect on the public will to fight you can easily imagine.
Paolo:
There are glimmers of hope in the Canadian media -- Rosie Dimano in the Toronto Star, Mark Steyn in Maclean's -- that such claims should be met with a great deal of cynicism.
And Aly Hindy and Zeynab Khadr didn't exactly do the Toronto 17 any favour by demonstrating their public support for them. Neither of them are particularly popular.
Canadians are quietly, but generally fed up with being emotionally manipulated by bogus claims of unfair treatment when our lives are at risk and frustrated by gormless politicians, etc., who speak to "root causes".

The 'Canadian jihad' is a covert boon for the mainstream American (p.c. self-eunuched about Islam) media, since they can now comment "impartially" on what they would never dare to say concerning America's Muslims... while seemingly talking about Canada's... and thereby let the American audience draw their own inferences/conclusions.
The thought dawning:
"If it could happen in harmless little Canada, where they practically kiss the Muslims' rear-ends with generous benefits, loose refugee status....?!" (...what do they have up their murderous sleeves for us?)
Thanks, Canada!
