ONE of Britain’s most senior military strategists has warned that western civilisation faces a threat on a par with the barbarian invasions that destroyed the Roman empire.In an apocalyptic vision of security dangers, Rear Admiral Chris Parry said future migrations would be comparable to the Goths and Vandals while north African "barbary" pirates could be attacking yachts and beaches in the Mediterranean within 10 years.
Europe, including Britain, could be undermined by large immigrant groups with little allegiance to their host countries — a "reverse colonisation" as Parry described it. These groups would stay connected to their homelands by the internet and cheap flights. The idea of assimilation was becoming redundant, he said.
The warnings by Parry of what could threaten Britain over the next 30 years were delivered to senior officers and industry experts at a conference last week. Parry, head of the development, concepts and doctrine centre at the Ministry of Defence, is charged with identifying the greatest challenges that will frame national security policy in the future.
If a security breakdown occurred, he said, it was likely to be brought on by environmental destruction and a population boom, coupled with technology and radical Islam. The result for Britain and Europe, Parry warned, could be "like the 5th century Roman empire facing the Goths and the Vandals".

Sometimes I have this vision of large Trogan Horses that are made of glass entering countries of the western world.
The big difference is the goths and vandals were not muslims. I think I would prefer the goths and vandals....if it were only that easy.
The politically correct people and the liberal left will not be allowed to see the fruits of their work, the politicians who do nothing will not be allowed to see the results of their dereliction of duty. There should be a list compiled of the enemies of Britain in the case of any snowballing dhimmitude, the friends of Islam need to be identified and put on a list.
There will have to be a massive area denial with every factory, road, rail, indeed anything which the enemy may find of use destroyed.
Should they eventually control the land we own we must make sure that there is no way they can use it.
Well, at least I know now that I'm not alone in thinking that disaster for Europe is only around the corner.
I note the fact that someone from the military establishment is floating (sorry about the pun) his view regarding the threat to western civilisation.
There was a time in the not too distant past, around 1975, when there was a possibility of a military coup in the UK against then Labour goverment of then Prime Minister Harold Wilson because he was considered a Soviet Spy. It never happened.
I make the point as to give rise to the notion that if the security of the British was truely threatened then regardless of government, there is a force that could well act.

The Jihad-riots in France look more like the fall of the Roman Empire several centuries later, when the barbarians immigrated in huge numbers and caused the now weakened civilization to collapse in large parts of Western Europe. The population movements we are witnessing now are the largest and fastest in human history. In Europe, they can only be compared to the period often referred to as the Great Migrations, following the disintegration of the Roman Empire. However, during the 4th and 5th centuries, the total human population of the world was in the order of 200 million. Today, it is 30 times larger than that, and still growing fast. We also have communications that can transport people anywhere on earth within hours, and media that show ordinary people how much better life is in other countries. On top of that, the Romans didn't have human rights lawyers advocating that millions of barbarians be let into their lands. Is it a coincidence that the last time we had migrations like this was when large parts of the European continent suffered a complete civilizational breakdown? Is that what we are witnessing now? The second fall of Rome?

If Muslim immigration continues, the impending fall of France could mark the starting point of the Balkanization of much of Europe, perhaps later even North America. I fear this is a world war. Maybe future historians will dub it the Multicultural World War. Just as WW1 was caused by Imperialism, WW2 by Fascism and the Cold War by Communism, this one will be caused by Multiculturalism. The term "the Multicultural World War" has been coined by Fjordman. I find this to be more accurate than "The Islamic World War" because what will cause this world war is Western cultural weakness, through Multiculturalism and Muslim immigration, rather than Islamic strength. As poster DP111 says, this world war may very well be in the form of a global civil war, where you get a succession of civil wars instead of countries invading other countries. Multiculturalism and uncontrolled mass-immigration destroy the internal cohesion of the decadent West, which will slowly fall apart as it has lost the will to defend itself and the belief in its own culture. The wars in the Balkans in the 1990s will in hindsight be seen as a prelude to the Multicultural World War. Rather than a Westernization of the Balkans, we get a Balkanization of the West.

Given the tensions we are now seeing caused by Multiculturalism and massive immigration, the next major war in Europe could well be triggered in part due to aggressive anti-nationalism, not aggressive nationalism. The downfall of the nation state, if it happens, will not bring us into a brave new world of global peace and brotherhood or the Age of Aquarius. It will be chaotic, painful and quite possibly bloody. More a throwback to the Middle Ages, the period before the rise of the nation states, complete with feudalism and tribalism, Muslim raids and people retreating into their own little fortresses while a few islands of sanity, similar to the monasteries a thousand years ago, will try to keep something of our cultural heritage alive.

maybe we would gain some insight if we acknowledged that Islamo-Fascism is Radicalizing US. For example I am now contemplating a civil war between Muslims and non-Muslims in the UK. I am also contemplating that rather than our present politicians leading us to victory over radical Islam, a cataclysmic event will re-define the political spectrum, and from that new leaders will rise to offer a philosophical and battle-plan alternative.
I want to look towards a knights Templar style organization, and I look forward to the day when the rallying call is made to their flags and heralds. I would join in a minute.

What I am afraid of is what we had seen in both Bosnia and Kosovio in the 90's is going to be repeated, instead it will be the whole European continient.
I like the knights Templar association, that may end up being our only hope, we cannot trust the government or the police to look after even our lives. They have been infiltrated too deeply to be of any use to anyone but those who mean us harm. I am referring not only to the government but also HM opposition.

Hmmm...Poland is the black sheep in the eyes of the EU due to its government's homophobic sentiments, not something to be particularly proud of...but as the former minister of interior affairs, Professor Wladyslaw Bartoszewski (by the way holding the title of the Righteous Among the Nations from Yad Vashem) commented on the latest condemnation of Poland by the EU, Poland is the European country with the best relations with Israel. And this is very true - no BBC style articles attacking Israel in Polish media. Will Poland become "bulwark of Christianity" again, this time from the West?

OK, A little clarity about the Goths. They started out being a problem but were then assimilated and morphed into the Visogoths. The Visogoths went on to become one of the staunchest defenders of Rome. Rome's real problems came from within and by the time of Constantine, it was cheaper to buy grain from North Africa than from farms 50 miles away. Civil war turned them into a ripe plum and the Huns finished off the Western branch. The Eastern branch lasted another couple of centuries until they were overtaken by the Mohammedans, a process similar to being assimilated by the Borg of Star Trek fame. The bottom line in all this is that if your core rots out, somebody more committed will take over.

It may come to pass in America too. A dhimmi government so out of touch with its citizens . . . allowing unchecked Muslim immigration, student visits, multiculturalism ubber alles, bringing Democracy to the middle east ala the Iraqi project, and cap it off with another 911 thrown in for flavor, and you just might have a movement of refusal to pay taxes. Tens and tens and tens of million of 'dhimmis' could say to to further jizya for Muslim aid, no to a "multicuturalism" that paralyzes action, no to student visits from Iran or Iraq or Saudi Arabia, no to more Muslim immigration(whether from France, Somalia or any place else). The experts . . . the Albrechts, the Zogby's, the Scowcrofts will bemoan the new racism and zenophobia, but all the politically correct chatter and all the dhimmi men will not be able to put it right; instead, the state will be forced to change its ways for we the people. The tax man is our government's weak link.
Many on this site miss a very important variable of the equation. The Goths and Vandals as well as the Frankish, and to a lesser point the Angles and the Saxons, at the time (Vth cent. AD) all barbarians, eventually mixed with the local Celtic populations because 1. they did'nt have any endogamous laws forbidding marrying people from other faiths 2. they converted anyway to the religion of the invaded, Arian or Catholic Christianity... The modern French, Spanish, Italian and British nations are like a 3 layered cake with, starting from the bottom 1. a Celtic layer 2. a Roman layer 3. a "barbarian" Germanic layer (Frankish, Saxons, Goths, Wisigoths etc.) It is that structure that produced over the centuries and through inter-marriage what we call now the French, The British, the Spaniards etc...
