VIENNA, Austria - President Bush on Wednesday accused Iran of dragging its feet on a Western incentive package aimed at getting Tehran to suspend uranium enrichment activity. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said earlier in the day that his country will respond by mid-August to the proposals presented to Tehran in early June by EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana.If Iran accepts the offer, it has to suspend its uranium enrichment — a process that can produce material for nuclear generators or bombs.
"We'll come to the table when they verifiably suspend. Period," Bush said at an annual U.S.-European Union summit here.
He said that the mid-August timetable "seems like an awfully long time" to wait for an answer. "It shouldn't take the Iranians that long to analyze what's a reasonable deal," Bush said.
Watch out for fireworks on the 2nd until 4th of August.

The Iranian president is one of those that beleives the Mhadi (moslem messiah/khalif), will return in Mid August. In his eyes Iran will have to pave the way for his return by creating a war which will invoke the Mahdi to arrive and destroy thier enemies.

This is similar to the Christian vision of the Apocalypse. Indeed, the Hidden Imam is expected to return in the company of Jesus.
Mr Ahmadinejad appears to believe that these events are close at hand and that ordinary mortals can influence the divine timetable.
The prospect of such a man obtaining nuclear weapons is worrying. The unspoken question is this: is Mr Ahmadinejad now tempting a clash with the West because he feels safe in the belief of the imminent return of the Hidden Imam? Worse, might he be trying to provoke chaos in the hope of hastening his reappearance?
"Seems like an awfully long time," he says.
He's making the mistake of letting Iran dictate the timetable, and after the administration originally said they would wait "weeks, not months," for a response.

What the world doesnt realise is if you make one centrifuge it takes special parts to be produced, whats to stop them being produced in many quantities and other sites being hidden from the world? 10 sites replicated over a country the size of Iran would be easy to hide. Hey presto - each site has 500 centrifuges and youve got a nuke in 6 months. That should put them on track for August to have thier first nuke.

The world wants its share of American music, American movies, American food, American books, American video games, American lifestyles, etc., but then the world turns right around and demonizes us, wants to strip us of our security and our freedoms and our future. Hell, we even have foreigners here striving very hard now to take away our land and our jobs and our homes and our peace-of-mind!
The whole thing is just fueled by childish envy and fear of the unknown. I bet 95% of the Europeans that call us "terrorists" have never even visited the United States or met any real examples of ordinary U.S. citizens.
