Iran to UN: help us, dhimmis

Of course, Ahmadinejad could do his part to stop the “defamation” of Islam by stopping his genocidal saber-rattling against Israel and his “Iran calls for UN action to stop “˜defamation” of Islam,” and his avowals that Islam will dominate the world.

Here is another attempt to compel non-Muslim states to adopt Islamic laws regarding blasphemy, in the name of respect for religious sensibilities. From Reuters, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

GENEVA “” Iran backed efforts by Islamic states yesterday to get the United Nations new Human Rights Council to counter what they call “defamation of religion” around the world.

But Canada accused the Iranians of discrediting the Council by including in their delegation the state Prosecutor-General who Ottawa says was linked to the arrest and death in Teheran of a Canadian woman journalist.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told the 45-member Council, holding its first-ever session, that freedom of expression “should not constitute a pretext and a platform to insult religions and their sanctities.

“Defamation of religions, particularly the divine message of Islam, should be rejected,” he declared. Action on this should be part of the rights standards set by the Council and pursued through “implementation at the international level.” His remarks echoed a call from the Organisation of Islamic States (OIC) and assertions by Saudi Arabia that Islam faced “an escalation of hatred and animosity … disdain for its values and everything it holds sacred.”

Although some diplomats say the drive reflects Muslim anger over cartoons published in the West last year depicting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), others see it as part of a longer-term effort to counter criticism of the rights records of many OIC states.

Members of the grouping, including Saudi Arabia and Iran, were often accused at the Council’s predecessor, the Human Rights Commission, of violating the rights of women and national and religious minorities.

In his speech, Iran’s Mottaki accused Western countries of trying to impose “uniculturalism” on the UN system to ensure their own values set the model for all human rights standards….

In his speech, the President of the newly created Saudi Human Rights Commission said his country “in keeping with Islamic tradition … accords special attention to the issue of religious tolerance” and respect for different cultures.

The Saudi Human Rights Commission. Sort of like the Tropical Snow Removal Unit.

Although there were ongoing efforts in the West to link it with terrorism, he declared, “Islam is a moderate religion that advocates mutual tolerance, empathy and coexistence and rejects fanaticism, obscurantism and coercion.”

Yes, and that somehow has millions of adherents who do not seem to understand that at all.

“…The Saudi Human Rights Commission. Sort of like the Tropical Snow Removal Unit….” LOL!!!

Actually, for the Mohammedans ‘human rights’ apply only to the ‘ummah’- the community of “believers’.

All infidels and Jews are ‘the worst of beings’ and “descendants of apes & swine…”

“..But Canada accused the Iranians of discrediting the Council by including in their delegation the state Prosecutor-General who Ottawa says was linked to the arrest and death in Teheran of a Canadian woman journalist…”

Murderers in a delegation to demand criticism of Islam to be muzzled….

Be interesting to see when the first western polit-clowns cave in to those demands….

    These demands will keep coming…!

    But of course!

Sorry can’t help you guys. See there is a slight problem with this whole defamation of Islam thingy. Mere honest and truthful recitation of Islam and its history. theology, etc. is so bad and vile that it prima face appears to be defamation. Sorry Islam is a vile, grim, parasitic, murderous, death cult, founded by a man who was a meglomanic, demoniac, a pedophille, a thief,a caravan raider,a sex addict and sadistic mass murderer.

The Primary documents of this so-called relgion reads like Helter Skelter. How can one defame a religion which has a body of literature like the Quran and the Hadith,it is kill, kill, kill, rape, rape, rape, pillage, pillage, pillage. The stuff about about the Jews in this holy book is hair-raising, makes the skin crawl kind of stuff.

Islam is single handedly resposible for most of the violence in our current historical context. In light of that I have to say to the Iranians shut up; this kufir has a one finger salute to you, your relgion and your hypocritical catterwaling. Go back to Iran and stand around your magic wishing well and await your wretched, non-existant Madhi. With love and interfaith understanding from deep inside Dar al Harb.

“14 percent of the the Norwegian Muslims wants to have Sharia in Norway. That is the results of TV2 and Norsk Gallups survey from May this year.”

Sheik yer’mani, let’s not forget that ‘human rights’ only apply to the MALE half of the Ummah. Women don’t seem to be invited to the party, for some reason or other, and the men who follow this idiotic cult regard them about as highly as they regard pigs, dogs, slaves and infidels.

  6. says

That may be so, enemyofislam, but that doesn’t make the females any less fanatical or less dangerous than the homo islamicus….

Neither do they seem to mind … in fact they will tell you that they are “elevated & protected” under a black tent which they call “portable seclusion…”

If it was not so serious it would be funny, what a joke, the UN Human Rights Commission should be renamed the UN Commission to push Sharia on the world. I was very impressed that the US did not borther joining this circus of fools.

Women aren’t people to Muslims because Mohammed’s mother abandoned him several times and never gave him support or affection.

Mohammed never forgave her and would not pray at her grave. He wouldn’t pray for her. His excuse was that she died an infidel and it isn’t fitting to pray for infidels. Thanks Mohammed… millions of women still pay for the sins of your mother.

Mohammed was abused and neglected as a child like many other charismatic sociopaths and serial killers. He was the most succesful example of this group, which includes Charles Manson, Jim Jones, Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin and others…

Mohammed and allah must be discredited and discarded. It’s the permanent way out.

All of this incessant “Islam is a peaceful religion” stuff sounds more and more, every passing day, like Hitler’s late 1930’s refrain “I have no more territorial demands” line.

Who believed Der Schicklegruber after the annexation of “historically German” Czechoslovakian land, and the Austrian Anschluss, but the suicidally stupid? (Chamberlain and the Terminally Pacifist elsewhere in the West.)

Maybe Mohammedans need to start using Adolf’s phrase:

Islam has no more territorial demands. The Earth is all we want. Infidels can live anywhere else in the universe they choose.

From the article: In his speech, the President of the newly created Saudi Human Rights Commission said his country “in keeping with Islamic tradition … accords special attention to the issue of religious tolerance” and respect for different cultures.

Yes, there is “special attention” to make sure no religious symbols, other than Islamic, are displayed, no alien public ceremonies or holidays permitted, and anyone carrying a Bible, including foreign visitors, is jailed. And, to show respect for cultural differences, the relentless vilification of foreign cultures and religions in the government-controlled media is probably customized in its abusive condemnations.

Re: “Defamation of religions, particularly the divine message of Islam, should be rejected,” he declared.

The devil is in the details I see.

Re: The United Nations new Human Rights Council – same old, same old. No change here, keep moving.

  12. says

If the UN passes any such rulings then it will become impossible, in theory, to criticise any act committed in the name of the Koran which also has its nature clearly outlined by that revolting collection of prophet’s libidinous, vengeful, greedy, violent delusions.

This is far more than just a reduction in blasphemy law.

To view this in its true context you must drop back to the biblical and papal literalisms of Inquisitional Spain to see its potential legal and hence, repressive power over both free speech and eventually free thought.

  13. says

“In his speech, Iran’s Mottaki accused Western countries of tring to impose “uniculturalism..”Yes, I guess that is what I would expect of the UN, at the very least, and I expect little from that corrupt organization. I would hope that the UN condemns what would hope to be some broad consensus on human behavior such as: slavery is wrong, marrying 9 year old girls is wrong, kidnapping, raping and forcing marriage on non-Muslim women is wrong, pushing little girls back into a burning building because they were not wearing their burqas is wrong, blowing up a church or other religioius site because it is non-Muslim is wrong. Yes, if my viewpoint is that of “uniculturalism,” as opposed to the twisted, cruel standards by which Mr. Mottaki and his ilk live by, then put me down as a uniculturalist.

Isn’t that exactly what Iran wants? That everyone adopts their values regarding freedom of speech, or the lack of it? Ridiculous contradiction.
