"Nevermind foreign terrorists, why is Canada growing its own extremists?" from the National Post, with thanks to all who sent this in. The short answer, of course, is that Canadian authorities haven't been paying attention to the dissemination of the jihad ideology in Canadian mosques.
They are young, militant and Canadian. And according to senior counterterrorism authorities, they have been plotting large-scale terrorist attacks on Canadian soil.The Canadian Security Intelligence Service acknowledged this week it has been investigating groups of "homegrown" extremists. In candid testimony to the Senate national security committee, the agency went on to say that these young followers of the "al-Qaeda ideology" have been plotting against targets within Canada.
"They are not looking to Afghanistan, the U.K. or anywhere else," Jack Hooper, the CSIS Deputy Director of Operations, testified on Monday.
The exact targets of these young terrorists were not revealed, but it is their profile that is most shocking: young Canadian Muslims who have somehow become radicalized while growing up in Canada.
They are "homegrown." In other words, they have emerged from within Canada, rather than infiltrating it from abroad. They are insiders, not outsiders like Millennium Bomber Ahmed Ressam, who was behind Canada's last major terrorism scare in 1999.

Every country that has muslim populations will breed terrorists. They are bred not by the country, who is only the host "dar-ul-harb" of parasitic muslims who try to take over the host. One can compare islam with a virus who multiplies in the body of a host and eventually kills it. These "home grown" terrorists have the potential to inflict maximum damage since they are better informed than their counterparts in the madrasas of other islamic countries. They will use the superior knowledge of their host countries to destroy these countries. At least, that is their objective.
What is needed here is more muslim immigration. Sure there'll be the inevitable 'handful of misfits' but it's always a fun idea to place at risk the security and peace of mind of the Canucks. And Canada has heaps of money so they can spend millions of dollars sorting out the good from the bad. And if the odd bomb or two goes off it isn't all bad news. Hands up all those who want to die for the failed policy of multiculturalism? I don't see too many hands in the air.

I would say that mosques are not neccessary to form, brainwash, and create Jihadi cells anymore. The internet provides access to universal Jihadi propaganda, colleges, universities and social clubs provide the loose network of places around which Jihadis congregate and can meet, gyms represent the spaces in which they bond. A local Islamic study group being held in someones home.
This shows how Jihadi clusters are more disparate than just a gang attached to a single mosque which is open to monitoring. They have gone underground. This is the lesson of the 7/7 Leeds Jihadis. They were off the radar completely. This is the pattern now.

Yes, it is in the kuran to lie to the infidels while in the dar-ul-harb. There is complete uniformity in islam all over the world. Recently in India, a group of 5 terrorists were shot down by the police. There was also a 22 year old girl with them. There was the usual "killed a girl", "innocent soul", "cold blood" by the muslims. What the muslims could not explain why she was 600KM away from her home from where she left without word a month back, leaving her college and family, why she was travelling with four youths in a car that had explosives and AK-47's, and why she chose to fire at the police when surrounded. Fortunately the police over here have smartened up. They take along a videographer on every call they think might lead to an encounter. On the video was a shot of the girl firing at the police from an AK-47.

On a somewhat off-topic note, thanks to Yojimbo, yesterday I read De ondergang van Nederland, or The Downfall of the Netherlands, a wonderful little book about how its foolish and naive policies toward third-world immigrants, particularly of the Muslim kind, would tear Holland apart. The author, however, did have some observations on Canada's de facto national millet system, which strangely it prides itself upon ("Diversity, not assimilation", in the words of Molsen's Canadian Joe):

Not a single reference was made to Islam, Qur'an, Muslim, or Jihad.

Hey listen, let me tell you something about Toronto. When I was in my early teens, it was Trudeau who let the floodgates open wide for all to come to Canada, many who came to Toronto.
At that time you had people from Jamaica and Trinidad. Many of the Trinidadians were hard workers.
The Jamaicans, especially the women had children from several men. Most of them wanted to collect welfare, smoke dope and steal.
I mean no offense to Jamaicans who worked hard and provided decent families, but the majority of them were all trash from Kingston and Trenchtown.
Somalies came and were given free housing and welfare and they even made demands at the time for colour tv, etc. They were very rude to other Torontonians and their kids got involved in gang related violence.
Pakistanis came and all they did was bark out orders and were always very rude to people and demanded their rights.
Torontonians were always polite and accomodating and promoted "equality" and anti-racism programs.
White Canadians were made to feel more and more guilty if they said anything about anyone if they were a different or culture.
People like Moses Znaimer and his City-TV crew kept this going, even to the point of employing people from all nationalities so as to show themselves as true-Torontonians. Many of them I would add were more than qualified but always so PC enough to make me gag.
Then the media decided that when a crime was committed, there was to be no mention of the suspect that they were looking for. Most of the times, it was a black man and always Jamaican.
This has continued for years until Toronto became a war-zone. This did not result from Europeans coming to Toronto, but nobody was able to express opinions because it would offend. Offend who? Offend those who were committing most of the crimes.
Now here we are in the 21st. century and with the glorious traditions which the politicians and the media in Toronto have continued to cultivate, it's no wonder that this was a perfect breeding ground to allow Mohammedans to work their craft.
And then we throw up our hands and ask, how did this happen? Wake up and smell the coffee people.
When you build a sentimental sense of tolerance and make it militant enough that you keep your mouth shut about most of the thugs who are ruining your cities and your country, that's how it happens!
My question is, now what is Toronto and the rest of Canada going to do about it?
