Occupied Byzantium: Denigrating Dervishes Dance on Image of Christ, and the World Yawns

A horrible story from Western Resistance, with thanks to Andrew Bostom:

Russian and western media are ignoring how the Turkish Tourism Board is airing an advertisement where drug-entranced Muslim dervishes dance on an image of Christ taken from a destroyed church, reports Fontanka.ru, a web-based newspaper in St. Petersburg.

So far, the offending advertisement has been seen on St. Petersburg's Channel 22, Rambler NBN, and was most likely shown elsewhere in Russia and the world, but the Turks who paid for the advertisement cannot be reached.

Until the mid 15th century, the Muslim country now referred to as `Turkey' was the Christian Byzantine Empire, one of the most advanced civilizations in the world. After the Muslim conquest, most Christian inhabitants were slaughtered or forced to convert. Thousands of churches were destroyed or converted into mosques. The Turks then launched an invasion of Europe, occupying most of the Balkans for centuries, and carrying out similar destruction and carnage.

Even though Russia is primarily a Christian Orthodox country, no one objected to the offending advertisement, until finally an Armenian resident of St. Petersburg, Artak Aleksanyan, undertook his own investigation. He hired a lawyer at the prominent firm of Naryshkin and Associates, which made a number of inquiries that revealed the advertisement violates Russian law, specifically Article 152 of the Criminal Code, ``Protection of the Honor and Dignity of Citizens.'' The offending Muslims who made the advertisement can be brought up on criminal charges.

But they probably won't be.

Read it all.

Yeah, it's horrible. Anyone care for a mint?

Just imagine if a Christian placed an advertisment for prostate problem treatment of an old man urinating on a mosqu walle or onto a copy of the Koran.

Very hard to play tennis with BOTH hands tied behind yr back. Ohh that is righ!! That is how we are supposed to play Islam as they( yes I know) like it that way.

I remember my mom telling me stories of how Muslim soldiers would break into our great...great grandparent’s house in the middle of the night and rape their children. The rest of the family would have to stay quit, as many family members in the past were killed for disturbing there rape. A lot of the kids killed themselves afterwards in shame. And we lost many fathers who tried to stop the rape. They would come in to the bed room asking to be fed at 3 am! After they fed them, they would ask for all of there money since the food "wore out" their teeth. I will never forget what they did to my family; I will make sure my future children know.

If Russia was still a great power and had not been raped by three generations of communism, and if Greece and the other Orthodox nations were not under the corrupt influence of westernization, this would be grounds for war.

Unfortunately, Greece, Russia and the other majority Orthodox countries are more interested in keeping the US and Western Europe happy and trading with the Muslims than to defend the honour of Christian civilization and the image of Our Lord. May God bless Mr. Aleksanyan and the firm of Naryshkin and Associates with much success in fighting this outrage.

One more Muslims demon-stration of their great respect for their minor prophet Isa (Jesus).

Doesn't this violate the same precept -against using representational images- that spurred the Mohammedan cartoon jihad?

In your face becomes 'on your face'.

If there were anything I bought from Turkey I would boycott it. A campaign of no tourism and no commerce against our "wonderful NATO ally" needs to begin.

Give us back the Hagia Sophia and we'll call it off.

muslims do this to all. They insult others' Holy symbols and consider it their right to do so. Just stamp on a quran, and you will be running for life from a fatwa. I wonder if MSM will be carrying this story.

That is a brutal story Billybob. For those of us with family histories that dealt with this scum we know what its all about. There are too many people in North Amercia who are just clueless.

Thank god for the Armenians. This armenian guy did his duty. It is sickening what Turkey has done. I saw an advertisement online the other day for Turkish tourism. Very impressive scenery, i just loved how not a single monument was built by muslims. The country is full of non-muslim relics.
If you look up St. Nicholas you will see that the Russians donated a statue to be placed in the town where he was from. Last year it was removed and a plastic Santa Claus replaced it. The mayor said there are no christians here so this is more apropriate. They want to claim Santa as Turkish yet they won't allow christians to practice their faith. Up until last year the Greek orthodox church was allowed to go to St. Nicholas' church on his feast day and have their ceremony. That is now banned. Now turkey has the gall to sue Italy for having St. Nicholas' bones. They were removed by Greek sailors in 1087 as the Turks made their first raid into anatolia. They were taken to Bari. Now Turkey has announced they will go through the UN to get them back.

This is just one of thousands of examples of hypocrisy in Turkey. They want to claim credit for everything especially all the things they destroyed.

Well these Muslims are forgetting about those famous cartoons of Muhammed back in February. Well time to parade those cartoons again. Just doing a bit of irony.

"Give us back the Hagia Sophia and we'll call it off."

Too easy for them.

I would like to see Islam shoved back into an oil-less arabian pensinsula and ALL of those those once christian states freed from the contamination that is Islam.

Revenge!!!!

Is this why Mo' was so up-tight about people drawing pictures of him?

The late Pope Urban II had it right:

From the confines of Jerusalem and the city of Constantinople a horrible tale has gone forth and very frequently has been brought to our ears: namely, that a race from the kingdom of the Persians, an accursed race, a race utterly alienated from God, a generation, forsooth, which has neither directed its heart nor entrusted its spirit to God, has invaded the lands of those Christians and has depopulated them by sword, pillage, and fire. . . .

---Pope Urban II, Proclamation at Clermont, 1095

"History has shown that the Turks, as most other Muslim countries, are very adept at destroying and stealing things from the civilizations they've conquered. Bringing something positive into the world has never been a strong point for Muslims.".

Yup.

Turkish Tourism Board also did some advertising in Brussels, a month or so ago, using pictures of... Well, about nothing that came out of turkish-muslim background, but boasting about their "multicultural heritage". I wrote a paper on it, on which you can also see the pictures; link: http://www.libertyvox.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=25551#25551

(currently in French, but if anybody's interested, I can translate it in English).

The only multicultural thing about islam are the many unmarked mass graves all over islamic states and that small amount of DNA uncontaminated by the conqueror's islamic DNA which has swamped all of those states.

Pistache...they will be really stuck for similar ads once the islamic fanatics have their way.

What a joke!! They are as interested in multiculturalism as Muhammad was interested in political correctness.

Steady, folks. I believe the best attitude that khafirs can take in cases such as this is being completely aloof. Bring as much attention to this, show the hypocrisy to the world, but do not show any sign of being offended.

Many of you will probably disagree with this, depending on denomination, but really, are we not above infantile identification between sign and signifier - an image of Christ, and Christ Himself? In my stripped down understanding of Lutheran Christianity, the state religion where I live, assigning any degree of 'holiness' to a man-made image would be akin to blasphemy. Those jerks dressed in skirts only show the glaring differences between Mohammedanism and Christianity for all the world to see. Again, I understand if some of you have feelings invested in this (I admit I don't), but I really think everybody should see it as pedagogy, and not go burning embassies and flags (joke!).

Hi Pistache, I am also writing from France. I notice that you have translated some other texts into French.

I would be very happy to exchange ideas with you and can be reached at sebastienwolf @ mail dot ru if interested.

I just read a little about the Byzantine Empire on Wikipedia. It sounds like it was an amazinlgy advanced society, even by modern standards.

I'm not sure if the Muslims were largely responsible for the Empire's destruction, of if they just struck after other instabilities had weakened it. They seemed to have caused tons of trouble and warfare, in any case.

Unfortunately, Greece, Russia and the other majority Orthodox countries are more interested in keeping the US and Western Europe happy and trading with the Muslims... Posted by: Provoslavni

With all due respect, the first part of your statement is nonsense. Russia has been a thorn on the side of the US, and a lot of it has been unprovoked i.e. their support for Iran, Saddam and Syria. The West hasn't been too constructive either towards Russia viz Chechnya, Serbia, Ukraine and Belarus, but the Kremlin's proper response to that should have been to militarily boost Serbia and other anti-Islamic forces in the Balkans, rather than boost Iran.

I also don't see the current Russian government as indifferent to the Eastern Orthodox Church. Putin, from what I understand, is supportive of that faith to the exclusion of other faiths in Russia; in fact, Russian Orthodoxy may well be becoming the de-facto only tolerated religion in Russia. I don't have a problem with that, since that's what any country confronting Islam is going to need. I just wish they decided to confront Islam all over, instead of just picking on Chechnya and Albania.

Hi American in Germany. I can translate them into English for you if you like. It will take me a little while, but I'll be very happy to do it. Mail me at the above address so we can chat some more.

Muslims are held to a different standard in our crazy, suicidal, politically correct, multicultural, guilt-ridden Western fantasy world.

this is typical of Turks to do disgusting things like that they have no respect for anyone or anything. but whats the point anyone fighting agaisnts the turks is critised by America i dont understand why no one on this forum is blaming American goverment and UK goverment for helping Turkey enter the EU and also america gives Aid to turkey and us for russia its a sell out country russia has been sold of also to the west it did nothing to help serbia when usa invaded to help muslims terrorist russia is helping iran have nukes when it should have been helping serbia have nukes and as for Greece its to scared of Turkey so its helping Turkey join the EU makes no sence to me

i dont understand you people critising only the muslims but you dont critise your own goverments who support and Aid countrys like Turkey

americaninngerman quoted "America wanting Turkey in the EU might make sense to them from a strategic point of view (NATO), but they are NOT taking into consideration the disastrous consequences it will cause for Europe as a whole!"

dont you get it americaninngerman thats why American Goverment wants Turkey in the EU becasue they know it will be disastrous for Europe American goverment wants to ruin the EU as they look at the EU as a competitior superpower and they know that turkey joining the EU will make the EU fall apart

americaningermany,
I've been reading your comments on JW for a while now. They are always good. I hope you are in the US military because it would be comforting to know that if some of our loyal men and women in uniform are reading JW/DW and links Robert and Hugh have listed on this site, that the Free World has a chance to fight back the scurge of islam because you know the real enemy. The Name our government Dares Not Speak.

If it is true what Greek Gurl says that the US is trying to get Turkey in the EU to weaken/bring it down, well, that's just as stupid, greedy and short-sighted as De Gaul allying himself with the arab world to counter-balance US dominance. Look at the mayhem coming to fruition in France and the rest of Europe.

Hopefully there is a special hell for the politicians and business leaders who have sold out the Jewish,Christian and other tolerant free peoples for arab petro-dollars.

americaningermany,

I don't think the US does. The reverse is true to some extent: the French, in particular, seem to have seen the EU - in alliance with other (highly unsavoury) forces - as a means to challenge the US. See some of Hugh Fitzgerald's past posts on the deux rivistes.

The French ... Excuse me ... bl**dy fools ... There: I've said it now.

But, no. AFAIK, the US has not been hostile to the concept of the EU. In fact, as I understand it, the CIA spent a lot of US money actually promoting the idea of the EU on the continent way back when. As a member of a previously independent and proud sovereign nation that has been partially swallowed by that detestable organization, I wish the US hadn't. But there we are.

Here's a reference to some of the politics in the 1950s - and another. Jean Monnet was the villain of the peace in the setting up of the EU, but Dean Acheson had a hand in things, too. The US hasn't been hostile to the EU - it was instrumental in its emergence.

How, really, could Jean Monnet have foreseen that the European Coal and Steel Community would end up being the thing that finally emerged? Why should he have been able to foresee Javier Solana, Chris Patten, Romano Prodi, Alistair Crook, Jack Straw, Dominique de Villepin, George Galloway, and tutti quanti?

Should Arthur Jeffery and Joseph Schacht, who taught about Islam and the Middle East at Columbia, have foreseen that a few decades later they would be replaced by control of the MEALAC Program at Columbia -- to Hamid Dabashi, and Rashid Khalidi, and Joseph Massad?

Could Senator Henry Jackson have foreseen what would happen to the Democratic Party?

Could those who founded the U.N. have foreseen what would become of it?

There may be some truth to
Greek Gurls comments on the US wanting Turkey to get into the EU.

As a Greek myself it is well known that pretty much everyone in Greece knows that Turkeys biggest supporters in the world are the US and Britain.

Unfortunately almost everyone in Greece is against Turkey's admission into Greece, and its government has been walking a tightrope of deception by fainting support for Turkey to appease The US. All this while hoping other countries in Europe will make the right call and have Turkey turned down for entry.

This is what I've repeatedly been told by my relatives there, as everyone is aware that the superpowers don't give a damn what happens to Greece. I truly hope this isn't the case, and I think its time for Greece to take a strong stand against this rogue state, and call on the rest of Europe to support her. I can't personally see the logic in staring at the monster about to devour you and not want to put up a fight.

People on this side of the world need to lobby their governments and ask them to watch the many aggressive behaviours Turkey continues to take against its neighbours. The invasions of Greek airspace continue everyday, the demands for more territory in the Aegean are still made, and this is peace time between these two guys, imagine what will happen if Turkey gets into the EU. How will she treat her neighbours once she has everything she wants handed to her? Time for the real powers in the US to realign their friendships!

For those of you who think this is a little out there, you can't underestimate the psychological effect the US led invasion of Yugoslavia has on the Orthodox Christians in the Balkans. Most of the reasons were full blown lies, and the involvement only led to Al Queda stronghold being firmly established in Bosnia, Kosovo, Albania, to Skopje Macedonia area. This is a very real reason to tread lightly, as most Christians in this area have repeatedly been shown that they are disposable. This last reason is clearly the Bill Clinton legacy left on the Balkans, and no one on the George W. side seems to care anymore than Bubba did.

Niv

The illigitimate history of the world's most violent belief system should be told at every opportunity.

I think our alliance with Turkey is an unfortunate outcome of the Cold War given Turkey's proximity to the Soviet Union. But just like a woman who can't seem to shake her abusive boyfriend, we just can't see the forest through the trees on our lovely NATO partner.
With all the vote buying and trading, you-scratch-my-back and I'll-scratch-yours in the US congress alone, I hate to think what it's like on the world stage. Nations need to follow the world division already laid out there by islam. The dar-al harbers need to stick together and sort out the politics later after islam is gone from the earth.

i have noticed that Americas foreing policy on Turkey has always remained the same clinton or Bush doesnt matter its always the same. Does America hate orthodox christians? first kissinger gave green light for Turkey to invade Cyprus and then America bombed yugoslvia killing christian orthodox america has created 2 muslim states in Europe bosnia and kosovo also America supports chechnya to be independent from russia seems America is more pro muslim Turk and anti orthodox christianity

One can only think there is millions of Saudi money flowing to those in power, and as has been pointed out on this site, to exambassadors and State Department higher-ups. An example, Gore spoke in Dubai against 'atrocities' by the US against poor little muslims, but not a PEEP about Pfc. Menchaca and Pfc. Tucker tortured and butchered in Iraq. And how 'bout that photo of Dubya holding hands with the Saudi crown prince? I myself have wondered how such a thing can be done by such a God-fearing Christian. I blame all our politicians and my vote goes to the pols that "get it". Tom Tancredo for President, anyone?

Clinton (another one sucking up to petro-dollars) wanted to get tough after not taking action in Rwanda and most Americans who watch/read MSM news had no idea the history and politics, let alone the HISTORICAL religious divisions in that area. We just here the word 'genocide' and take the side of the underdog, not knowing that the underdog has been on the slaughtering conquest side for centuries. Hell, we still think we're the bad guys in the Crusades and have bought the Jordanians-by-ethnicity 'palestinians' that's been spoon fed to us over and over again. I saw the video of churches being burnt down in Kosovo on this site last summer and my education began. I definitely know now we intervened on the wrong side.

Another thing forming policy in the US is the anything-but-Christianity approach. Schools in Kentucky, I think, are debating on whether to use B.C.E (before common era)and C.E. (common era) vs. B.C. and A.D. It's crazy. My question, what event made the era common?????

Hey No-Mooselimbs (don't know what your name means, but sounds great) let me add a few more Clinton statements for you.

When a New York artist made the sculpture of the Virgin Mary out of cow dung a few years ago, both Clintons were quoted as saying this was a great thing, and Christians shouldn't be offended as cow shit is revered in Africa where this artist came from.

Then around the same time as the Muhammed cartoons, the Clintons once again told Christians that freedom of speech was more important than their religious symbols when the upside down Osama Jesus was depicted. This is a very odd thing to say, because during the Muhammed riots Bill Clinton was in Pakistan and made a public speech denouncing the cartoons.

Is it me or are the Clintons the biggest traitors to Western civilization ever? How do these people live with themselves? All I can take comfort in is the fact that this couple has definitely set themselves up for a place of honour in Hell.

Hey Niv,
I like my name, too. No meaning, just a little play on words!

Good call on cow-dung Madonna. How did I miss THAT one in my list?!!!! And Piss Christ ....Gosh, there's just so many examples of people selling out, or being outraged and offended by the wrong things.

"Russia has been a thorn on the side of the US, and a lot of it has been unprovoked i.e. their support for Iran, Saddam and Syria" posted by Infidel Pride.

Actually Russia has fallen a long way toward oblivion with the US leading the pack trying to destroy her completely. Russia refused to confront the US and NATO over Clinton's war of extermination against the Kosovo Serbs and has stood by wringing its hands as the US empowers Islam around the world.

As for Saddam and Syria, they were (or are) not Muslim true-believers at all but rather secular Ba'athists who have no principles other than staying in power. To Russia, dealing with them makes a lot more sense than installing Islamic theocracies like the US is doing in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I agree that Russia's cozyness with Iran is shortsighted but it is clearly understandable. Russia has almost no Shiites but suffers a brutal terror war waged by Sunni militants. The enemy of my enemy is my ally etc. Also, Iran does place national interests before Islam when it is forced to. Iran supports Christian Armenia against fellow-Shiite Azerbaijan because they fear Azeri separatism in their own northwest.

While all of us agree that Russia's support of Iran is immoral, it is no worse than the US support for the Saudi terror regime. This is especially true since Iran has never attacked Russia while the Saudis have funded virtually the whole gamut of enemies of the US.

Cheer up fellow JWatchers. There is always the X factor in History as well as World soccer cup.
Yes, Turkey used the Kurds to masaccre the Amenians and occupy their land. When Iraq splits into three-which it will-the Kurds will be fighting for their homeland,a lot of it in Turkey. By ironic twist, not to mention ghosts of murdered Armenians, these same Kurds have managed to outbreed other Muslims and are strong enough to take on the old Ottoman bird & dismember it.Let's sit on the sideline and cheer 'em on.ALL THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT.

The Kurds should then be encouraged to go for an independent Kurdistan. It could prove useful as it would also involve Iran as well as Turkey and Iraq. They need to be kept busy, I am sure that we can find something to keep them from getting bored.

This is an intersting link that explains Ottoman history:

Greek Girl,
It was the US's idea to form the EU after WWII, to prevent future wars between European countries. Like the despicable UN, I doubt if the people who envisioned a "united" Europe ever intended for it to become what it is.

The US does not want to destroy the EU because Washington fears it or considers it as a potential threat to our power. That is ridiculous! Why do you think American troops have been in Europe since WWII? The US has the most prosperous, thriving economy in the world, surpassing Europe's by far. This is due to capitalism, a concept that most Europeans abhor. Most of us have blood ties to Europe, or had you forgotten? Many Americans are unaware of the rampant anti-Americanism in Europe and consider European countries to be our closest allies. In other words, we don't hate you like you hate us.

There is plenty wrong with our foreign policy and I disagree with most of it, but I can assure you that the American government does not want to destroy the EU although personally, I think it would be a great idea. We wouldn't have defended Europe from communism for over fifty years if that were the case, although I often wonder if communism is what Europe really wanted all along. Looking at the illustrious EU, one might get that impression.

I guess Bush has encouraged Turkey's admission to the EU because he's an idiot who does not understand Islam or the already dire situation in Europe created by massive muslim immigration.
I can't explain why he wants the US to merge with Mexico and Canada either, to create a North American Union, or rather a Northern Mexico. Obviously he's big on "unions." You've got him pegged all wrong.

Hello all, I am an American who recently begin the process of becoming Orthodox after giving up my worthless mainline denomination. Beware of Evangelicals they hate Orthodox Christians, and most Americans claim to belong to some Evangelical sect. Most American Christianity is superficial and basically some sort of therapuitc ceremonial deism. All God prattle is so much verbal diarrhea. God in America is merely some cosmic Santa Claus to be invoked for whatever act of smug self righteous is about to occur.

I recently read some missionary material about Eastern Europe and Lebanon where these Evangelicals played moral equivalnacy between groups such as the Marionites and Mohammadens. They accussed both Muslims and Christians of contributing to an endless cycle of war and claimed that the indigenious Christians compromised the witness of Christ to Islam by taking up warfare. They see all groups in these areas as equally worthless; as an undeferentaid mass of pagans to be converted. These idiots would love to see both religions go away. They of course are ignorant morons like most the rest of over-fed grease stains that populate the west. The best hope for Eastern Christians is for Russia to rise and tell the West to piss off. The West are the greatest inablers of Islamic expansionism, be it for economic or religious reasons. Orthodox peoples must tell England and America to go to hell. Russia must tell America to go to hell, I support any massive rearming of Russia. America and England need to mind there own business with Chechyna, Russia is merely irradicating vicious sub-human animals.

The Turks here are just being Turks, God forbid that this retro-grad., rabble be admitted into the E.U. Also so-much for all the claptrap that Sufi's are mystical, peace-loving sort of hippie type of Muslims. There as rotten as the rest of the apples in the Muhammedan barrel.

"But they probably won't be." (prosecuted for the ad).

Nor should they be!! No blasphemy laws, in any guise. You can jump up and down on my belief system, atheism, and I should be able to bounce about on an image of mohammed. Or christ. Not that I want to but I want the right to be able to, without receiving death threats.

And imams out there can call me a piggy-wiggy, and naseems would no doubt call me a slutty womens.

I'm a bit disappointed to see some people here all for what amounts to blasphemy laws!

icedragon, "The Kurds should then be encouraged to go for an independent Kurdistan. It could prove useful as it would also involve Iran as well as Turkey and Iraq."

couldn't agree more.....

abdulalshirk i agree with what you said the only country who could help orthodox christians is russia the west and America really dont like orthodox christians anymore then muslims like us. i beleive your right maybe the evangelicals in America see orthodox christians as heresays and want to use muslims to destroy orthodoxy forget about the west and America all orthodox christian countrys need to unite against the Turk muslims russia is a superpower that could easily defeat Turkey if it wasnt for the west protecting Turkey but unfortunelty at the moment russia doest seem to care and it seems to be more interested in helping iran get nukes which would be a big mistake why the hell wont russia give any nukes to serbia or Greece? russia needs to wake up

Americaningermany i am not anti American i am anti american goverment which has a foreign policy of helping Turkey i Dont beleive all Americans in general want Turkey to join the EU and do not agree with Bush

URGENT – TO ALL AUSTRALIANS!

Murdoch has made comments about the Islamic threat in the past http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1127918/posts and he has now repeated this at a Sydney function naming him the most influential Australian of all time.
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,19597136-2,00.html
About an hour ago, influential Australian television program “A Current Affair” (ABC) has asked viewers to phone in and vote on the question: “Can Muslims be patriotic Australians” – or words to that effect, a resounding NO vote would send a clear message to politicians about the nature of public unease regarding Muslim immigration. So please vote ‘NO” – Phone: 1902 552 202

americaningermany. This email account sometimes rejects hotmail messages for reasons I cannot fathom. Is this what you tried?

americaningermany,
Greek Gurl is not anti America. What she says is perfectly valid. Here are her comments.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/011919.php#c233598

abdulalshirk I agree with you. I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is hindu. The people who support the muslims are much worse then them. And I agree with you that the west is the greatest enablers of them. Muslims are muslims. Savages can't change but the west keeps on helping and promoting their cause.

Americaningermany i know lots of Americans have same views as you and do not want Turkey in the EU the American people are not to blame what i meant is its the Policy makers in goverments of America and the UK also they are the ones to blame even the Goverment of Greece is to blame for supporting Turkey's EU membership but the people of Greece do not want Turkey joining the EU its our goverments who are screwing us and supporting muslims turks

Greek Gurl, americaningermany, you are both right when you state the people don't want Turkey in the EU.

However I am inclined to believe the Greek gov't is playing a deadly cat and mouse game by fainting support for Turkey, and hoping others will quash it.

The Greek gov't has its share of traitors also, but I think they are savvy enough to realize the friends the Turks have (US and Britain), are very influential and can affect their lives drastically if they are perceived to be the reason there buddy isn't allowed into the EU.

I also agree that Russia can be a big difference maker if they overtly supported Greece on matters concerning Turkey. Don't hold your breath though, Greece is always one day away from being old out by someone and that's why they have to play these games.

Americaningermany the reason Gerhard Schröder was trying to get Turkey in the EU was becasue he wanted to remain in power and as theres lots of Turks in germany he knew he would be getting the turkish votes from german Turks so in return he was supporting Turkey to join the EU so in return the german Turks can vote for him to remain in office but most germans did not want turkey in the EU so the christian democrats got a lot of votes

and as for karamalis in Greece he needs to wake up and block Turkey from joining EU Turkey is threatening Greece constantly invading greek airspace a Greek pilot died a few weeks ago from coliding with a turkish jet also the illegal occupation of N cyprus is a other reason why Greece should be blocking Turkeys EU membership

Americaningermany yes its sick what our goverments are Doing they do not care about the consquences turks seem peaceful in europe just minding there own business and breeding like rats but once they outnumber europeans all hell will break loose

Greek Gurl Niv,and Americaningermany,
Here's what was just posted on JW

Syria sends forces to protect Hamas leader

I agree with the first comment(and only, so far)If this can be one of the things history looks back on and says here's a catalyst for war, then it's gut-check time for all governments and then it truly is "You're either with us or against us".

All western and freedom loving peoples better hope their governments don't trust ANY islamic regimes and watch out for those "moderate" muslims in their own countries. Their loyalty is to the Ummah above all else.

abdulalshirk and Greek Gurl,

I agree with both of you wholeheartedly. The United States government has supported Muslim aggression against Orthodox civilization at evey occasion. It is time for all the Orthodox nations to unite.

If you haven't read Srdja Trifkovic's column, "New Martyrs of the East and Coming Trials in the West" please do.

It should be required reading for every Christian but especially for Orthodox and Catholics.

also this article is a worthwile read:

No-Mooselimbs, I think its almost over for us all.

It doesn't matter how much I bring up at work with co-workers and friends alike, they don't get it.

WW3 has already begun and its the strangest war in all of history. Leaders of Super Powers are looking for excuses to enable their enemies. The people that would be affected most, hard core left leaning freedom for anything types, homosexuals, etc. are all on the side of people who will take away everything they love, including their lives in most cases.

We are living in a vacuum and are being sucked into hell by everyone around us. I don't know how we will get out of this, but at work I'm waiting for the day I get fired for talking about this stuff. I've been talking non-stop about this for more than a decade now, I don't know how much longer I can go and still watch us wade deeper and deeper into crap. Someone throw me a life preserver please.

Niv

Niv, You sound as despondent as I feel.

In the US, we have one politician I know of for sure that understands the two-headed hydra the US is facing. I have to admit, I have voted democratic in every election for every candidate save one. I see no one out there running so far that deserves a vote except one and he isn't running. If he ran, it would be the first time I voted republican.

It's our US anti-dhimmi of the year,Tom Tancredo.

He's already unapologetically said we should bomb Mecca if any city in the US was taken out by a nuclear weapon and he's tough on border security. Which direction would muslims bow towards, then? Funny, for a cult that doesn't allow idol worship, they're pretty attached to that meteor fragment.

Here's an article about Tom's new book,

problem is muslims going around planning to take over the world but theres also evil people in our goverments using those evil muslims for there advantage to cause civil wars in coutnrys the west doest like so muslims are being used as a tool by goverments to control the world thats what it looks like to me

The world yawns---and fawns (god help us)!

memo to Greek gurl: Russia is presently playing both cards (Islamic and infidel)for political advantage on the world stage and China seems to be conducting its policies on similar terms. Both countries have become de facto Iranian allies (Russia may have been doing this a lot longer than generally thought, possibly since the 1970s). Russia has NEVER been an ally of the western democracies and it isn't going to change its stripes at this point in time (that we know of). The same holds true for China we think.

If the western democracies wish to survive and preseve human freedom they may have no choice open to them but to stand up to and if necessary combat (and defeat)the Islamic-Communist alliance that is presently and ominously forming around the world.

A tall and scary order. But those are the cards. Read them and weep.

Islamic-communist alliance. Instead of creating allies for the muslims, lets not. So far the west has done nothing to create an alliance against islam. Its short sighted policies like expanding Nato into eastern Europe and bombing Yugoslavia that is distracting us from the real problem.

Provoslavni,
Like we all have stated, the biggies in Washington do not understand the game. And they make decisions that affect the lives of millions. And Christians, Jews, and Hindus continue to die by the hands of muslims. What Greek Gurl pointed out is too true. The policy makers are responsible for these oversights that, to a remotely sane and informed peasant, appear to be outlandish. What happened in Serbia. What is now happening in Greece. And in Asia, when the rogue regime of pakistan is propped up and touted as 'faithful ally in the war against terror'. I think any common man shall fail to fathom why pakistan is propped up by aids and grants by the U.S. with the free weapons thrown in, when it carries on its jihad against Hindus in Kashmir and against the world through its numerous terrorist camps the existence of which the state department has acknowledged on several occasions. Condi was over visiting pakistan praising 'our ally' and no doubt some financial aid would be given too. And the palis get their money all the time when all they pursue is the killing of Jews.

ITs the Biggest danger to the world that the US and UK goverments are supporting Turkey they all give the impression that Turkey is a moderate muslim state when in fact its totally the opposite turkey is planning on building 3 nuclear plants by 2015 if Turkey gets nuclear weapons they would use them on Europe then on America and UK my guess is America will allow turkey to build those nuclear plants as America thinks Turkey is a Allie when in fact its far from that Turkey will never change they have the islamic idealogy that the world belongs to Allah the uk made a big mistake by helping the creation of Pakistan during the british Empire now pakistan has Nuclear weapons and is threatening india Turkey would turk against America tommorrow if it could

It isn't just the general public and the us government that don't get it. there are people on this site that don't get it. You have Pythagoras who is an apologist for Bosnians. When there are people on this site that don't get it there is no hope.

pissedofcanadian your right i agree with you if the US goverment is helping Muslims like bosnians and albanians and Turks agaisnt orthodox christians then theres no Hope but i dont think everyone on this site agrees with there Goverments helping the muslims in bosnia or kosovo i have seen some people like Pythagoras sympathize with albanians but the truth is its not just muslims who hate orthodox christians theres other people out there who are so anti orthodox christian they would rather side with muslims for them i hope the muslims turn on them to but not all of the people who post on this site support the albanians and have spoken out against there American policy of helping the muslims in yugoslavia i think theres hope yet if those people decide to write ot there congress or protest against it.

Pythagoras, what Islamo Communist alliance are you referring too. The Russians are playing every side there is, but they are only parroting their big brother the U.S.

Until the U.S. gets its act together there is absolutely no hope for any of us. The U.S. helps Bosnians, Albanians (Kosovar and non Kosovar), Turks, Egyptians, Arabians, Pakistanis etc. I apologize to the scum bag regimes I may have forgotten.

On this site today's date there is another reference on how Egypt is getting more U.S. warplanes. What the F@#@# for. What is wrong with everyone here, why are we always helping our enemies?

Once again Pythagoras look closely when war criminals like Agim Ceku are invited to Washington, the real problem is here, not Russia.

Niv

pythagoras what do you mean by the term islamo communist aliance? because the fact is during the cold war america was backing osama bin laden against the soviets so how could there have been a communist islamo communist alliance?

it was infact islamo facism was allied with American against the communist the communist where infact fighting islam mujahadeen so it was not the commusnist who where allied with islam it was America goverment under reagan
