It said law enforcement agencies in other European countries, notably France and Spain, had played a part in the investigation.
According to Israeli media, terrorists planned to use a rocket to bring down an El Al plane in Geneva last December.

I'm afraid though with worrying about screwing up trade relations with distant partners..worrying about angering people distant from the conflict and motiating them to come to arms..worrying about oil-drivien economy and a world where a huge number of oil producers that would become quite hostile if Israel embarked on such clear thinking makes Israel paralyzed.

They proved that, from Salman Rushdie all the way up to the Mohammed cartoon crisis some months ago. I think Steven's thought is a valid abouot assasination but not the overriding concern at all - they have no problem reporting violent white skin-heads who kill/assinate too. I think one of the reasons both the authorities and the media down-play the Islamic angle on terrorist activities and bend over backwards to point out that jihadis are a small minority of the Muslim community is that they are afraid of awakening a sleeping dragon: perhaps one dramatic manifestation of what they fear was that police riot at an Algerian protest demonstration in Paris, in October 1961, which left an estimated 200 Arabs dead. Apparently they were fishing bodies out of the Seine for weeks afterwards.
