Terrorism: It pays!

Have the Iranians delivered the promised funds yet? Or are they spending all their money developing nukes? "Powers agree Palestinian aid plan," from the BBC, with thanks to JE:

The "Quartet" of Middle East peace brokers have agreed on a plan to resume aid for Palestinians, frozen since the Hamas government took power.

The scheme aims to release more than $120m of EU funds to support local health services and cater for the basic needs of poor Palestinians.

But funds will bypass the government, which refuses to recognise Israel.

Many Palestinians have been suffering severe economic hardship following the suspension of international aid.

The EU and US cut off funding after Hamas came to power earlier this year, accusing it of being a terrorist group.

But the aid freeze has prompted fears of a humanitarian crisis.

Er, yes? Not sure what the problem is here? Surely their government will certainly not divert funds to the people if we give them cash? By allowing them to create their own humanitarian crisis it will prompt the iranian people to remove from power those people who started the humanitarian crisis in the first place. Do the politicians really think the people who voted these terrorists into power will be grateful to us for our money? Ridiculous, they will just see it as the west paying the usual jizya.

Aren't there hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people throughout the world suffering because they do not have adequate health services. Why is this particular group more deserving than the south Sudanese, for example, or the Mozambicans, and so on??

Why do the "Palestinians" expect any "aid" from anyone but those of their own Ummah?

They hate the infidel dogs, right?

They probably think our material money is secretly be saturated with pigfat. And every electronic transfer is likely wired out via satellite dishes -and received onto micro-circuits- composed, at least in part, of genetically-modified pork tissue.

So why would they accept our help?

We're unclean.

I'll keep my haram bucks.

They can keep their righteous rickets.

In the US such aid is called Welfare, not humanitarian. Welfare is money given year after year to those who cannot (or will not) support themselves. Humanitarian aid is given to those who have suffered a calamity such as hurricanes Katrina and Rita last year or the tsunami in the Indian Ocean.

Why, if so many billions of dolllars are being sent to the Middle East to pay for oil, can't the Oriental oil states tax some of that money to help provide for co-religionists? Why can't the Saudis divert some of their "Let's plant a Mosque in every town in the world" money to Palestine? Could it be they really don't care? Could it be they are greedy? Or too busy investing in the latest US/European/Russian military hardware?

If a way can be found to help the people without supporting or propping up their government, I'm willing to do so. I just don't trust the US or EU to do it. They'll either inadvertantly fund Hamas terrorism, fill the pockets of warlords, further alienate the people or manage to do all these things together. I don't think we can or should offer them money--humanitarian crisis or not. If we give them money or not it will become a propaganda tool to hate us.
