That’s strange, but that’s the first I’ve heard about an explosion in Matheson. Matheson is located up north near Timmins and Kirkland Lake – I’ve worked in the area and any jihadis would certainly be noticed by the locals in the area. Historically there has been a lot of mining exploration in the area – that could be the source of the explosion.
A major terror bombing at the Stock Exchange location could produce horrendous casualties. It’s the heart of the financial district – the towers of the four largest banks are located one block east. An explosion here would inflict tremendous damage and casualties from the direct effects of the explosion and splintered glass.

Also, even if the media refuses to state the obvious -- there's no question that this attack is of a similar calibre to the 9/11 attack -- designed to hamstring the entire nation. There's no possibility that even the most craven Canadian minister can fail to see the intent of attacks on major financial centers. There's no way to paper over the fact that these are home grown Muslim insurrectionists bent on bringing Canada to her knees.

Canada may have been foolish inviting and harboring these exploding Muslim hoards, but few nations could have been more hospitable and generous. While her misguided and foolish policies need to be exposed and maligned for what they are, and those responsible excoriated, hopefully it won't take far worse events to convince all the relativists, and all of those that have bought into the lies and canards of the socialists and multiculturalists (social marxists) who would like nothing more than to see you all as they are, simpering self-loathing abusers of democracy.

In addition (this isn’t in the CBC web link but was just broadcast) they also planned to attack Parliament to take hostages to secure the release of the usual Iraqi prisoners, etc. If they were refused, then they would begin beheading MPs held prisoner and the PM.
If there is a positive spin to this story, it’s that the CBC would also be attacked. The CBC? These people really are deranged.

You know I recently read an article that discussed the issue of urban flight; people leaving the big city for a simpler life in the country. Could that not explain the several tons of ammonium nitrate? Perhaps these young men were fleeing the hopelessness of the inner-city (which is severe in Toronto) with the hopes of commencing a farming co-op in Manitoba.

The defense needs to work on the angle that these are disaffected urban youth seeking a return to the simple virtues of a bucolic existence. They wanted that fertilizer for a horticultural training course. Yeah, that's the ticket!
