MOGADISHU: Somali Islamists have named as the head of their new "parliament" a firebrand cleric wanted by the US for alleged links to al-Qa'ida.Officials said Sheik Hassan Dahir Aweys -- a wanted "terrorist" in the US -- had been chosen to lead the Council of Islamic Courts, which will serve as a parliament for regions under the courts' control.
The appointment came as the body of a Swedish journalist, who was shot in the back and killed while covering a rally in Mogadishu on Friday, was being flown back to Sweden.
The assailant of Martin Adler, 47, has not been caught but the ruling militia said the killing was planned by a foreign enemy that wanted to shatter weeks of relative peace since the Islamic militia took over from a US-backed warlord alliance in Mogadishu earlier this month.

Was Martin Adler shot at random -- simply a foreign journalist who stood out, among other foreign journalists? Or was he deliberately "chosen, among the group of foreign journalists, because on Islamonazi (Islamic/Nazi) websites, which carefully list by category (Art, Entertainment, Professors, Political Figures) those deemed to be Jews, Martin Adler is listed under "Fotografer":

We can very well anticipate what the somalian 'parliament' is going to be like. A lot of islmic bearded thugs in sacks with AK - 47's on their back. And since the solution to all problems is given in the quran, all those resolutions are already taken. Obviously, jihad against infidels shall also be on the agenda. Here is the afghanistan of 2008.

It's safe to say there's nothing "random" about the death of a Swede in the middle of Somalia. Whatever the reason of the killer, it was obviously based on some sort of prejudice.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a Muslim got carried away and now his leaders are covering up because of the bad publicity. It would hardly be the first time...or the 2nd or 3rd or...well, you get the picture.

Even before I read any comments like Hugh's, when I read the news articles the very first thing I thought of was: "Adler, the name sounds Jewish, that's probably why they shot him."
The best contigency now is to militarily contain them and bloody their noses if they forment active hatred and violence towards us. Beyond this, let them implode by their own doing. An Islamic Somalia will lay bare to the world exactly how Islamic rot degrades and cripples a people. Its a damn shame really but this time, Somalia is on it's own.
This has been an obvious development for many years now. An excellent programme on Channel 4 in the UK[Unreported World] (I think) predicted exactly the current course of events.
Saudis have been the only people interested in sending money to Somalia for schools. Islamic schools of course.

Also, was Adler among other white people, because a documentary on Mogadishu I saw recently said that a white person could not live for more than a half hour without armed protection in Mogadishu.

Saudi money makes things worse, speeds things up, and should therefore be taken away or diminished. But it does not cause the problem. Saudi money does not explain the bombings in Madrid, London, Beslan, or the murders in Holland, or the Jihad of the streets in France.
