BAKU - Palestinian factions must fight a slide into civil war which is being exploited by Israel, Islamic diplomats said at a pan-Muslim conference in Azerbaijan on Monday.
"Palestinian forces should not allow a civil war to take place," the foreign minister of Malaysia, Syed Hamid Albar, said at the opening of an Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) meeting in Baku.
Yemen’s foreign minister, Abu Bakr Al Kurbi, said the victory of the Palestinian Hamas faction at parliamentary elections in January was being exploited by Israel. Like Israel, the United States and the European Union consider Hamas to be a terrorist organization.
"The victory of Hamas is a trump card in the hands of Israel, which does not want dialogue with the Palestinian government," he said.
He also called on international donors to resume the aid to the Palestinians that was cut by Western governments after the Hamas win.
"Today there are threats to blockade the Palestinian people. We demand donor countries aid Palestine," Kurbi said.

I hope the U.S. administration won't cave in on this one. It's amazing they just don't say: Ok, we will acknowledge Israel and promise not to do anything naughty. That might be enough to win over some lawmakers,hopefully a minority.

The forum hosted a large auditorium of Muslim exchange students from across the Arab/Muslim world -- all hosted by "American Families".
I have never seen a more rude or triumphalist audience. I hope Washington policy makers watched the event, because it couldn't be clearer that exposure to American generosity or largess doesn't make Muslim more kindly disposed towards us. These damn students were the most virulent Islamic proto-Nazis you'd ever hope to see. To a one they couldn't comprehend the separaition of Church and State. To a one they couldn't comprehend the idea that Muslims should attempt to live within the laws and confines of Infidel lands. Things like "Palestinian Homeland" and the seccession of Kashmir were complete givens in these young Muslim fascists minds --
One handsome "Palestinian" student stood up and made a similar "demand" to the one in the article above -- he suggested that America was the most undemocratic nation on Earth because she had "refused to pay money to support Hamas after the Democratic Elections -- is THIS this actions of a Democracy? NO!" he shouted "and now the Palestinians are starving!"
The only sane person on stage was Ali Al-Ahmed, a Saudi dissident, and frankly one of the only Muslims I have ever heard who is credible on the issues of Islam and Arab culture. He repeatedly attempt to quell the rude mob of so-called students -- he challenged them to take some responsiblity for Arab and Muslim failures, to refrain from blaming everything on America and Israel -- and he was nearly shouted down every time he opened his mouth. So much for "moderation in Islam" or functionality among Arab minds.
If these "students" were examples of the best and brightest the Muslim/Arab world has to offer -- we are in for the most blood drenched period in human history. Nearly to a one, these students embraced and argued for strident Islamist agendas. It was revolting, and an absolutely bone chilling glimpse of a cancerous growth that is only gaining momentum in the world.
If there IS a "war of civilizations" coming up, we're lucky that the females of the other side won't be able to do much fighting in those burqas. MAybe hauling around some suicide bombs, but they aren't going to run too fast.
I'm still furious about those Kuwaiti sheiks who went to Denmark in the aftermath of the 'cartoon riots' who "demanded respect" for their profit and insisted that the cartoonists and the publishers of Jyllands posten be punished.
A liberal treatment with a baseball bat and a few good kicks with solid military boots in the ass would have been the appropriate response to the bearded lunatics demands.
Their brazen, megalomanic behavior most certainly invited an uncivilized response, such as dumping a fair load of pigs manure over their impeccably starched and ironed white kaftans....
What a pity that nobody was prepared and willing to take action for the rights of infidels and freedom!

With all of the billions of $$s we've provided to the middle eastern countries, esp. palestine, I wonder how many times a heartfelt "thank you" ever came out of any one of their mouths, let alone flitted between their ears (I suspect I could count the times with less than one finger). What happens if the entire world goes islamic except for one small island in the middle of some ocean - is that one, sane holdout supposed to support the rest of the megalomaniactic islamic world just because the island dwellers were smart enough to remain pure in heart?

It owes them nothing.
Don't block their getting money as long as the money comes from fellow Arabs. Is it true that the entire middle east--Muslim countries all together--outside of Israel--produce as much literature as Spain. Something like 22 countries produce as much literature as Spain.

I think of Main Stream Media (MSM) as the "old media," before internet blogs, like JW/DW, and before independent networks, such as Fox News.
As I view them, the MSM are heavily dominated by socialist/deconstructionist group think. Their main ideological bent, which they self-righteously portray as intellectual sophistication and nuance, seems to be that all that is wrong with the world, from violent conflicts, to poverty, to global ecological distress, is caused solely by western civilization and its present and historical greedy depredations, especially those of the United States.
The MSM are major purveyors of the multi-culti dogma, and thereby a huge facilitator of unrestricted destructive immigration, surrender of national sovereignty to unaccountable international institutions, jizya payments to the Muslim world, and worst of all, rampant dhimmitude. The MSM are gradually but steadily losing their monopoly on the public discourse, but they are not going down quietly.

Palestinians do not want to work and earn money in a way that would improve their lives and make them happy. I have read they have destroyed all the very fine vegatable farms they obtained when the Jews left. These farms grew some of the best vegetables you could hope for and at a profit. These farms are now in complete disrepair and non operating. They take the "foreign aid" AKA Jiyza and purchase weapons and explosives. They complain about everything and yet teach nothing in whatever schools they have (Nothing except JIHAD).
It is about time we quit sending money to them. We should continue to freeze any asset we find providing money to them.

Their muslim "brothers" created the refugee problem themselves and have refused over all these years to allow these people to acquire a "normal" life elsewhere.
Even Bill Gates has tried to help these people. Purchased a huge, ultra-modern greenhouse operation for them when the settlers were removed from Gaza last year. Know what they did with it? Not keep a fully functional thriving business going to feed and employ people. Nope. Shot it to smithereens.

Why don't the donor countries --if they are truly humanitarian-- aid the truly poor in Africa, Asia, and Latin America?
