"When the islamic [rule] comes back... there will be no palisitne flag, no philipino flag... no pakistani, somali, american, or british flag... it will just be 1 flag"

A Canadian mujahid longs for the caliphate. "Blog offers glimpse of accused," from the Globe and Mail, with thanks to all who sent this in:

TORONTO -- The "Meadowvale Brothers" weren't concerned with waging holy war. For the most part, they just wanted to talk about how boring summer school was, or how the third instalment of the Terminator movie franchise would stack up against the Matrix trilogy -- normal high-school kid stuff.

The lone exception: Zakaria Amara.

An Internet diary examined by The Globe and Mail details the thoughts, aspirations and angst shared by a group of Muslim students at Mississauga's Meadowvale Secondary School. The students, most of whom graduated in 2003, called themselves the Meadowvale Brothers. Among their members was Mr. Amara, who faces a string of terror-related charges....

For example, on July 28, 2003, Mr. Amara posted a statement claiming flags are nothing but a symbol of nationalism and segregation. (Punctuation and spelling are as they appeared in the blog.)

"I hate flags. I hate countries... I hate man made laws.... I hate nationalism with a passion... I love for the Sake of Allah and I hate for his sake...... When the islamic [rule] comes back... there will be no palisitne flag, no philipino flag... no pakistani, somali, american, or british flag... it will just be 1 flag," he wrote, using the pseudonym "Aleph," the first letter of the Arabic alphabet. He then posted an image of Arabic script followed by an English translation: "THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH AND MUHAMMAD IS HIS FINAL MESSENGER..."

Most of Mr. Amara's posts were in one way or another advocating a religious cause, dispensing advice on being a good Muslim, or denouncing the treatment of Muslims. In one such post, Mr. Amara wrote, "but honestly, these people in the states got convicted of using paintball as a method of training. no one asked for my opinion but il give it anyway: if ur intention is that of training, then go to peshawar or kashmir and train properly..."

The topic of paintball came up because, the postings indicate, the group had recently been on an outing.

"As for the painball guns that we have, man whether 'training or not' it was a hell of alot of fun," Mr. Amara continued.

The blog could go a long way to quell any fears of rampant extremism in Mr. Amara's pocket of Mississauga. Mr. Amara's posts are not the norm, and the writings of his friends do not share the same degree of venom....

But Mr. Amara made perhaps his most telling comment on June 12, 2003, when he segued from a post about exams to an explanation of why the prophet Moses did not return to Egypt as a conqueror. Mr. Amara wrotethat even though it would have been more logical to return to Egypt rather than continue through the desert, that doesn't matter.

"the KEY HERE IS,,,THE ORDER OF ALLAH DEFEATS LOGIC and is WAY ABOVE IT," he wrote.

He said it.

Allah and logic.. A contradiction in terms.

Much like: "Islam and Civilization".

Or, "Islamic thought".

I'm sure there are others..

"When the islamic [rule] comes back... there will be no palisitne flag, no philipino flag... no pakistani, somali, american, or british flag... it will just be 1 flag"

You bet there would be 1 flag..

But things rarely turn ourt as planned for Nazis and other totolitarians. Thank God for that.

What's the controversy?

This kid sounds like he's reading out of the playbook of Pelosi, Kennedy, Carter, Clinton, Turdbin, and all the socialist, one-world government types on the Left (and not just on the Left--cf. the Bilderberg gang, Tri-Lateral commish, Council of Foreign Relations, Davos group, etc.).

Only difference is the Left sees the world being run by technocrat experts that think like they do, and the Islamists see the world being run by sado-masochistic soothsayers... oops, now I realize that there's really not much difference at all between the two visions of the future!!!

Now you know why the Left is so supportive of the Islamo-fascists: they're kissing cousins ideologically.

Excellent point, Dumb Ox. No wonder our dear leader and the rest of the treason lobby are all so cuddly with the "religion of love and peace." Jorge, Tony, Jacques & Co. probably see themselves as riding a great green wave to their NWO utopia.

They might get more than they bargained for, though.

what these kids say about not likeing any flag or country, as a Canadian l can see where he is coming from. you see there is so much of this multinationalislm crap in Canada, especially in the Toronto area and southern Ontario, prol a lot in BC.
every one of those recent immigrants come to Canada and are encouraged to keep their culture's identity, and kids are all taught to think all cultures and religions are equal. The West is bad, look what colonism did to the poor Indians, first thing you realize you dont want to be Canadian, you dont know what Canadian is really. they are encouraged to look down on the US as vulgar, and flag waving, melting pot all these things to Cdn liberal socialist has been ingrained for many years now. l have been fortunate that my family hails from northern Ontario, and are 'Canadian first. French Canadians from Quebec want to be more European and French first. My parents's generation were proud to call themselves as Canadian first, as our ancestors chose to live in Canada and not part of Europe. So when you read about those muslim kids become more islamized and anti West/Cdn they can identity themselves more as Muslims, as it is the easiest path. l am not excusing them for their choice to want to destroy the Cdn way of life, but l can see how easy it is for them to go towards islam.

Offensive War to Spread Islam

Muhammad and his successors initiated offensive wars against peaceful countries in order to impose Islam by force as well as to seize the abundance of these lands. Their objective was to capture women and children and to put an end to the poverty and hunger from which Arab Muslims suffered. So, Islam was imposed upon Syria, Jordan, Palestine (Jerusalem), Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Iran, all of North Africa, some parts of India and China, and later Spain.

Undoubtedly, the concept of an offensive war to spread the faith is a genuine Islamic concept; it is known as a Holy War for the sake of God. We will see what Muslim scholars have explicitly determined that this is the essence of Islam. They also indicate that if sufficient military power is available to Islamic countries, they ought to attack all other countries in order to force them to embrace Islam, or pay the poll tax and be subject to Islamic rule. Muhammad (as well as all the Caliphs who succeeded him) called for holy wars . All scholars and lawyers acknowledge that.

Those who say that the Islamic wars were always defensive do not understand Islam and have not read sufficient history. It should be evident that offensive wars to spread Islam are the heart of the entire religion of Islam. They embody the meaning of "Striving for the cause of God"—holy war to make the Word of God supreme over the whole world. Our study will be filled with objective quotes from the statements of scholars, along with a throng of true stories.

Terrorists are people too.

Just for laughs:

AP must be "Arab News", no? Otherwise why would they report something like that:

Most kids go through a stupid phase, this kid will never recover. If allah was all that, most of us regular posters would be gone. I am still here, so I say allah is a joke, islam is a joke and oh yeah, I’m much more intimidated by killer bees than jihadists, (the bees can hurt me). I’d like to encourage the paintball, it is a game, the purpose of which is to charge the guy shooting at you. Tactically the game is stupid, keep it up, it is working fine in Iraq, we are running short of ammo on clowns like him.

Thank you for the site.

I am not a religious man in any organized way-but the Supreme Being looks after me like crazy. It's like the 1969 Mets ("God is a Met Fan") with me. So I'm certain he'll take care of you. God bless you.

Conspiracy theories, illogic and lack of realism as a way of life, are not limited to Muslim countries. But there is certainly something about Islam that makes conspiracy theories, and illogic, and lack of realism, much more mainstream in Muslim countries, and among Muslim peoples, than among non-Muslims, save those non-Muslims in the throes of some homegrown madness, such as that which so many German minds exhibited between 1933 and 1945.

How could it be otherwise? If one is forced to accept the habit of mental submission that Islam encourages, if one lives in a world where the slightest degree of independent thought or skepticism earns one suspicion from others, or punishment, or even death, so that the skeptic must conceal his skepticism or offer it up in a disguised fashion, and the circumambient society is largely one of constant deception, self-deception, and lies (Czeslaw Milosz wrote about the culture of lies under Communism in a piece entitled "Ketman" -- that is, "Kitman") -- this will have its effect.

You wonder about the hysteria of Muslim spokesmen, when they are confronted with things they cannot answer? You wonder about the craziness of their presentations, and of their accusations? Why wonder? Islam explains it. What Islam encourages (mental submission) and what Islam discourages (skepticism, free in quiry) explain quite easily the observable practice of Muslims.

No mystery.

When I was in school, we used to play hookey and go on picnics. It was during one such picnic, when we were smoking cigarettes atop a hill overlooking a muslim self-made ghetto, when a mullah in the mosque down below started wailing allahu akbar. We had a muslim friend with us. He said "We are smoking at the time of namaz. If it were the "rule", we would have been flogged". Until that day, I believed in "moderate muslims". After that, I did go out with them, but only to find that there are none.

It does seem that many are immune from logic. But I think folks like you are gradually wearing away the stone wall of delusion by your knowledge, your questions, your reason and your good-will.

I would add intelligence to that noted above. I would not mess with you in a debate. I'm a smart man. That's my real opinion of you. Trust me. I don't kow-tow to anybody.

Beware: the new goths are coming

Beware: the new goths are coming Peter Almond

ONE of Britain’s most senior military strategists has warned that western civilisation faces a threat on a par with the barbarian invasions that destroyed the Roman empire.

In an apocalyptic vision of security dangers, Rear Admiral Chris Parry said future migrations would be comparable to the Goths and Vandals while north African "barbary" pirates could be attacking yachts and beaches in the Mediterranean within 10 years.

Europe, including Britain, could be undermined by large immigrant groups with little allegiance to their host countries — a "reverse colonisation" as Parry described it. These groups would stay connected to their homelands by the internet and cheap flights. The idea of assimilation was becoming redundant, he said.

The warnings by Parry of what could threaten Britain over the next 30 years were delivered to senior officers and industry experts at a conference last week. Parry, head of the development, concepts and doctrine centre at the Ministry of Defence, is charged with identifying the greatest challenges that will frame national security policy in the future.

If a security breakdown occurred, he said, it was likely to be brought on by environmental destruction and a population boom, coupled with technology and radical Islam. The result for Britain and Europe, Parry warned, could be "like the 5th century Roman empire facing the Goths and the Vandals".

Parry pointed to the mass migration which disaster in the Third World could unleash. "The diaspora issue is one of my biggest current concerns," he said. "Globalisation makes assimilation seem redundant and old-fashioned . . . [the process] acts as a sort of reverse colonisation, where groups of people are self-contained, going back and forth between their countries, exploiting sophisticated networks and using instant communication on phones and the internet."

Third World instability would lick at the edges of the West as pirates attacked holidaymakers from fast boats. "At some time in the next 10 years it may not be safe to sail a yacht between Gibraltar and Malta," said the admiral.

Parry, 52, an Oxford graduate who was mentioned in dispatches in the Falklands war, is not claiming all the threats will come to fruition. He is warning, however, of what is likely to happen if dangers are not addressed by politicians.

Parry — who used the slogan "old dog, new tricks" when he commanded the assault ship HMS Fearless — foresees wholesale moves by the armed forces to robots, drones, nanotechnology, lasers, microwave weapons, space-based systems and even "customised" nuclear and neutron bombs.

Lord Boyce, the former chief of the defence staff, welcomed Parry’s analysis. "Bringing it together in this way shows we have some very serious challenges ahead," he said. "The real problem is getting them taken seriously at the top of the government."

Ancient Rome has been a subject of serious public discussion this year. Boris Johnson, the Conservative MP and journalist, produced a book and television series drawing parallels between the European Union and the Roman empire. Terry Jones, the former Monty Python star, meanwhile, has spoken up for the barbarians’ technological and social achievements in a television series and has written:

"We actually owe far more to the so-called ‘barbarians’ than we do to the men in togas."

Parry, based in Shrivenham, Wiltshire, presented his vision at the Royal United Services Institute in central London. He identified the most dangerous flashpoints by overlaying maps showing the regions most threatened by factors such as agricultural decline, booming youth populations, water shortages, rising sea levels and radical Islam.

Parry predicts that as flood or starvation strikes, the most dangerous zones will be Africa, particularly the northern half; most of the Middle East and central Asia as far as northern China; a strip from Nepal to Indonesia; and perhaps eastern China.

He pinpoints 2012 to 2018 as the time when the current global power structure is likely to crumble. Rising nations such as China, India, Brazil and Iran will challenge America’s sole superpower status.

This will come as "irregular activity" such as terrorism, organised crime and "white companies" of mercenaries burgeon in lawless areas.

The effects will be magnified as borders become more porous and some areas sink beyond effective government control.

Parry expects the world population to grow to about 8.4 billion in 2035, compared with 6.4 billion today. By then some 68% of the population will be urban, with some giant metropolises becoming ungovernable. He warns that Mexico City could be an example.

In an effort to control population growth, some countries may be tempted to copy China’s "one child" policy. This, with the widespread preference for male children, could lead to a ratio of boys to girls of as much as 150 to 100 in some countries. This will produce dangerous surpluses of young men with few economic prospects and no female company.

"When you combine the lower prospects for communal life with macho youth and economic deprivation you tend to get trouble, typified by gangs and organised criminal activity," said Parry. "When one thinks of 20,000 so-called jihadists currently fly-papered in Iraq, one shudders to think where they might go next."

The competition for resources, Parry argues, may lead to a return to "industrial warfare" as countries with large and growing male populations mobilise armies, even including cavalry, while acquiring high-technology weaponry from the West.

The subsequent mass population movements, Parry argues, could lead to the "Rome scenario". The western Roman empire collapsed in the 4th and 5th centuries as groups such as Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Suevi, Huns and Vandals surged over its borders. The process culminated in the sack of Rome in 455 by Geiseric the Lame, king of the Alans and Vandals, in an invasion from north Africa.

Parry estimated at the conference there were already more than 70 diasporas in Britain.

In the future, he believes, large groups that become established in Britain and Europe after mass migration may develop "communities of interest" with unstable or anti-western regions.

Any technological advantage developed to deal with the threats was unlikely to last. "I don’t think we can win in cyberspace — it’s like the weather — but we need to have a raincoat and an umbrella to deal with the effects," said Parry.

Some of the consequences would be beyond human imagination to tackle. The examples he gave, tongue-in-cheek, include: "No wind on land and sea; third of population dies instantly; perpetual darkness; sores; Euphrates dries up ‘to clear way for kings from the east’; earth’s core opens."

TOP STRATEGIST

Rear Admiral Chris Parry is the armed forces’ chief “blue skies” thinker.

Parry, 52, was educated at the independent Portsmouth grammar school and at Jesus College, Oxford. During the Falklands war in 1982, he was mentioned in dispatches while serving with the Fleet Air Arm on the destroyer HMS Antrim.

Parry is one of Britain’s leading specialists on amphibious warfare. He once commanded the assault ship HMS Fearless, was in charge of amphibious warfare training at Portsmouth naval base and headed a joint British-Dutch taskforce before moving to his post at the Ministry of Defence.

The admiral heads the development, concepts and doctrine centre, set up in 1998 and based at Shrivenham, Wiltshire. It has more than 50 staff and is being expanded to include extra analysts.

How sad! A world with no American or Israeli flags to burn. What will Muslim keep themselves busy with in the final days?

From Treehugger's post above....

"Lord Boyce, the former chief of the defence staff, welcomed Parry’s analysis. "Bringing it together in this way shows we have some very serious challenges ahead," he said. "The real problem is getting them taken seriously at the top of the government." "

Can't argue with that, M`Lud. Refreshing however to think that somewhere, buried deep within the corridors of our military, far removed from our stupid and traitorius political class, totally untouched by our useless pink groves of academia, common sense still previals.

Light at the end of the tunnel, but a long tunnel nevertheless.

"Third World instability would lick at the edges of the West as pirates attacked holidaymakers from fast boats."

Now that would make the Monte Carlo Film Festival more interesting.

Western technology is so powerful there is no way the West loses.

Better go study those history books a little more kurtz. Especially some of the olders ones written before it was "wrong" to call a spade a spade. The Confederate States of America came exceedingly close to winning the Civil War, despite the huge concentration of technological & manufacturing resources in the north. (There are many other examples.)

americaningermany,

What you posted is a possibility unless, and only unless, there is another attack on USA grounds, which could produce the worse angry backlash against every and all things Muslim which could be the end of the Muslim community in the USA and by the extendtion, the west.

treehugger,

Just got back from a spiritual retreat and when I got to see your comments, I was thinking of one of the workshops which was presented on "Celtic Spirituality". The Celtics, when they became Christian and then latter as the Irish, in tern, brought the Christian faith to the barbarians of Europe. Have you heard of the book about the Irish saving Western Civilization? These same missionaries also went to the global south and spread the Christian faith, which is now booming in the global south. It is this same area that will in turn send missionaries back to the west to re-evengelize the west and bring Christanity back.

bigcatgirl3106 (to americaningermany):

"What you posted is a possibility unless, and only unless, there is another attack on USA grounds, which could produce the worse angry backlash against every and all things Muslim which could be the end of the Muslim community in the USA and by the extendtion, the west."

You really think so? I have serious doubts. First of all, the dogmas of multiculturalism, self-hate, and 'tolerance' have been thoroughly drummed into in all graduates of public schools for at least 20 years. While it's true that some folks awaken from the stupor, many continue to function on autopilot. Even if there were are serious backlash, the Feds would stomp on it with even more force than they used at Waco. The west's entire ruling elite have already made their Faustian pact with Islam. In the unlikely event of a successful purge of Muslims from the US - presently a relatively small number - it would have little if any effect upon Europe.

Carolus,

If a second attack does happen, and if it is with a worse type of weapon or if it is a series of sucide/homocide type of bombings like what has been seen in Isreal, expect the PC-nice stuff to be thrown out of the window, school brain washing or not. That is just a simple reflection.
