Given the jihad ideology, this is an entirely reasonable expectation. It's astounding, however, that anyone in Canada came to this conclusion, with the government and media in complete agreement that Islam has nothing to do with contemporary terrorism. Canada is heading toward conflict with its Muslim population, says the head of a study on Canadian attitudes toward Islam.The study indicated that the majority of Canadians held a negative view of Muslim countries.
"There are clearly some tensions," said Jack Jedwab, executive director of the Association for Canadian Studies.
"If it is so heavily polarized then the opportunity to generate dialogue may be limited."
Jedwab said Islam is the fastest-growing religion in Canada -- expected to grow to around 1.4 million followers by 2017 from 2001's total of about 600,000.
A poll of 1,500 adults found that 52 per cent had a negative view of the relationship between Western democracies and Muslim countries.
Only 25 per cent had a positive view of the relationship.
In Quebec, 67 per cent said they had a negative view of the relationship between the West and Muslim countries.
In Ontario, 48 per cent said the relationship was negative, 39 per cent said the same in Atlantic Canada, 53 per cent in the Prairies, 49 per cent in Alberta and 50 per cent in British Columbia.
The poll also indicated Canadians had a dim view of democracy's prospects in Muslim countries, with 56 per cent saying they doubted it would take root.
Now that the Canucks have owned upto their instinct for survival (part of that parcel is the ability to ID poison), the question as always remains "so what're you gonna do about it?".
IS this Muslim increase due to Canadian converts or due to a lax immigration policy.
The immigrations policy should be reviewed and tightened up.
Maybe Canada could adopt a birth contol policy (similiar to China?).
They could tighten the rules which would call for mandatory deportation of anyone who openly praises, finances, or openly supports terrorist organizations.
They could tighten or redefine the laws regarding hate or racial crimes (it has been shown worldwide that Muslims "in areas in free countries where they are permitted to live" are involved in an ever increasing wave of social violence such as assaults, rapes, murders, extortion and general civil disobedience. Just look at the reports coming from France, Germany, Denmark, Amsterdam, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, and others; you can see a pattern of a planned operation of conquest. Unless stopped, these thugs will become the law makers instead of law breakers.
The Canadian Government could step up covert operations to monitor Muslim activities (after all, Muslims are involved in about 90% of all civil unrest and armed conflicts in the world today).
All Muslim mosques should be monitored closely. It has been proved that mosques usually are storehouses of arms, munitions, training material and other items not conducive to a "peaceful religion". The sermons given at mosques are often military indoctrination--witness the accounts of secretly taped sermons smuggled out in several locations.
I would say that Canada is witnessing an invasion, which if not stopped, will certainly change their future. They may as well rename their country to Canadistan.

Immigration - I would expect mainly from Pakistan in English speaking Canada (largely Toronto) and North Africa in Quebec. There are very few converts (reverts if you will).

Since so many of you now recognize it, how about putting this threat above your struggle for the recognition of an identity distinct from the US? Like, for instance, banning Muslim immigration, and internationally, even if you don't want to support the US in their political moves re: Jihad, at least stay neutral, rather than support the other side. Yeah, Stephen Harper is better, but some of Canada's policies, like allowing Jihadists to set up shop, makes you a dangerous neighbor for the US, and arguably, a bigger border threat than Mexico.
And Quebec: be French by all means, but try attracting French speaking infidels, like Lebanese Maronites, French Jews, Sub-Saharan Franchophiles from Congo (both), Gabon, Cameroon, and other places like Suriname, Haiti, Tahiti, et al. You'll retain your lingua-Franca identity, but not be a threat to not only US infidels, but Quebecois infidels as well.

When I wrote my book Islam Unveiled in 2001, I hoped that thoughtful Muslims would address the points I raised in it, and that we could open up a dialogue that might be useful in illuminating what could be done about the elements of Islam that give rise to fanaticism and violence. In that I was naive. The response by critics to that book as well as to every other book that I have written has consisted only of vague assertions that I am ignorant of Islam, without ever providing a single substantive refutation of anything I wrote.
