Iraqi Gunmen Kidnap 20 Sunni Agency Workers

Sunni-Shi'ite Jihad Update, from AP:

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Gunmen on Wednesday kidnapped 20 employees of a government agency that cares for Sunni mosques and shrines nationwide, and the organization suspended its work until further notice, an official said.
Also Wednesday, at least 20 people were killed in a string of bombings and shootings, mostly in Baghdad, police said. They included a senior Interior Ministry official slain on his way to work, police said.
Sixteen other bodies were found in widely separate parts of the country -- apparent victims of sectarian death squads.
The announcement by the Sunni Endowment, a major institution within the Sunni community, further escalated sectarian tensions.
[...]
Endowment spokesman Mahdi al-Mashhadani said the employees were seized as they drove from Baghdad to their homes in Taji, just north of the capital. He said the agency would stop working effective immediately and that its chairman, Ahmed Abdul Ghafour al-Samaraie, would give more details later.

When will these two factions generate sufficient courage in their beliefs in allah to declare war on each other and settle this once and for all?????????????

This would be a good time and good reason to tear down all mosques.

Apparently their religion isn't working for them.

The "comparative deaths" game is now being played. It is "unfair" and "unjust" that 200 people in Lebanon have been killed, while only 25 in Israel. You see, since there is to be a moral equivalence, there should be an equivalence in the number of dead. If the Israelis are subject to attacks that are delibgerately on civilians, and launched without warning, that means nothing. It is unfair of them to have bomb shelters and to use them, unfair of them to behave like Western man, and find shelter unhysterically, and to promptly clean up the evidence of attacks right after.
As many Israelis should die, it is strongly suggested, as Lebanese -- otherwise something is wrong, morally wrong.

While the BBC and similar organs fill the airwaves with tales of Israel "pounding" Lebanon and "destroying" Lebanon and so on and so forth -- with never a single allusion to the incredible care with which the Israelis have selected their Hezbollah and Hezbollah-related targets (including the bridges and roads on which rockets travel), to the warnings given even to Hezbollah to leave certain areas (in some cases warnings given an hour or more ahead of time), the leafletting that is part of that campaign to minimize casualties (and that of course allows many of the enemy to escape), a scrupulosity without parallel in the history of warfare (compare NATO's bombing of Serbia, when as far as I know the Serbians did not possess 15,000 missiles they were preparing to rain down on France, on Italy, on Germany, on England, on the United States -- or did I miss something?).

In an entire week of this "pounding" about 200 people in Lebanon have died. Many have been uncritically described as "civilians." How many of those "civilians" were members, or delirious supporters of, Hezbollah? Perhaps a few? Perhas more than a few?

How many Shi'a were killed, in the same period, in Iraq? How many Sunnis? For that matter, how many Infidels do you think were quietly killed in the Muslim countries this past week, without it being reported anywhere? How many Hindus in Bangladesh and Kashmir and India proper, how many Christians in the Sudan (despite that "peace treaty"), how many Buddhists in Thailand? Do you tnink, since this "comparative casualties" business is played upon by The Guardian and similar Western disseminators of anti-Israel venom, that these totals, too, could be chalked up on what should be labelled "victims of Jihad world-wide," to see if perhaps we could even that score, in a way The Guardian and George Galloway would find acceptable?

I haven't figured out why people are so quick to pity the muslims. Is it because they have small brains? And they do seem to get hysterical over EVERYTHING.

Israel should continue to get rid of these terrorists as one would do a pack of rabid animals.

So what do we expect now ? Since they were not killed immediately, one can expect 20 heads in boxes. It happened before. And 16 killed (found) besides. This seems to be a regular feature in iraq.

Agreeing with Hugh's assessment of the grossly unfair Muslim vs Jew "comparitive deaths" game, here's a simple rule to help "level the playing field":

During the competition, one "point" shall be deducted from the Total-Death score each time a player kills a member of his own team. (ie: Muslims killing Muslims)

In other words, teams shall forfeit one point towards their "World Sympathy Justification" each time they demonstrate that killing fellow teammates is approved, encouraged, (and routine) amongst their own team.

The Sunni vs. Shia killings should be more than enough to negate all sympathy points for Team-Mo.

The movie:

Obsession - Radical Islam's War With the West.

The problem: They can't find a US distributor.

Did I just hear a news blurb correctly that an Irani Muslim woman in Basra and her children were killed 'Islamic Style' in the traditionally method of throad butchering right in her home! And her crime? Suspicion of somehow aiding the Americans. I truly feel sorry for the Christians and Muslims who work for the Americans in the Green Zone. True, there are no other jobs, but savages would and do cut our throat for such an offence.

I wonder how many operatives Hizbollah will manage to get into the US and Canada under cover of civilian evacuation from Lebanon?

Hugh: "As many Israelis should die, it is strongly suggested, as Lebanese -- otherwise something is wrong, morally wrong."

Actually gives a whole new meaning to the liberal idea of "equality of outcome". (You killed 500 of my people. Now, I demand the application of affirmative action (which means, as applied in this context, the enforcement of restraint against the winning party), in order to ensure that I can successfully kill 500 of your people to even the score.)

When applied to warfare, of course, the demand for equality of outcome is a prescription for endless war.

(I probably should have said "socialist" rather than "liberal" idea when referring to the concept of "equality of outcome" as it is my understanding that classic liberalism endorses equality of opportunity rather than equality of outcome.)

In any case, I merely wanted to point out the absurdity of the notion of enforcing equality of outcome when applied to warfare because it represents a total morally nihilistic and relativistic POV. Just part and parcel of the whole multi-culti ethic that refuses to acknowledge that some cultures may well have superior moral claims.

I remain totally unmoved by the Lebanese casualties at this point for the reasons that Hugh points out:

"In an entire week of this "pounding" about 200 people in Lebanon have died. Many have been uncritically described as "civilians." How many of those "civilians" were members, or delirious supporters of, Hezbollah? Perhaps a few? Perhas more than a few?"

Without a doubt, the answer is "more than a few".

It's high time the west called foul on this pervasive Muslim strategy of using their own women and children as human shields. It's really part and parcel of the same principle that we must hold Muslim states responsible for harboring the terrorists in their midst. Yes, we should do our best to minimize civilian casualties (as we do anyway) but we cannot be held prisoner to these despicable Muslim strategies of subterfuge and hiding and lying - in short all these "sneaky" strategies, that Muslims are so willing to use.

And if our consciences seem about to get the better of us, we need only realize the fact that Muslim life is obviously CHEAP AS HELL to Muslims themselves (all their ridiculous protestations to the contrary notwithstanding). Else why do they cheer on the Iraq "insurgency" which is massacring thousands and thousands of Muslims? Why didn't they care when Muslim states cracked down brutally on their own Pali populations? Why do they have nothing at all to say about the slaughter of black African Muslims in Sudan?

This is all bullshit - this notion that Muslims care about the supposed "sanctity" of individual Muslim life. No. Muslims couldn't care less about the sanctity of Muslim life. Of course they care even less about the sanctity of non-Muslim life! All they care about is the spread and victory of Islam, no matter how many Muslim, even, lives must be sacrificed for the cause.

But if they prevail because westerners cared so very MUCH about the sanctity of Muslim life (i.e. every Muslim life including those supporting Hizbollah's genocidal goals against the Israeli's) then the obvious consequence will be that ALL human life will be cheap as hell. ALL human life will be totally and utterly expendable.

Dog eat dog.

Hutch, there are most likely already Hizbollah members and sympathziers in both the US and Canada.
l heard on one of the radio talk shows, some Lebanese women from the Christians part, said that Israeli's were bombing the Hizbollah part, and not touching the Christians sectors. also l am sick of hearing about how Israel is overdoing it, what other country would put up with this bullshit of bombings by either belts or lobbed over by Hammas,Hizbollah and assorted muslim terrorits. If Miami would have one tenth of bombs lobbed overy by Fidel, Cuba would be a parking lot. double standards it seems to be a
liberal point of view. Liberals only feel the need to liberate the terrorist.

This is a valid point but what should not be overlooked here is that the IDF instead of firmly grasping the nettle have IMHO gone for the weaker and less strategically significant target.

By not immediately confronting the Syrian and Iranian base which funds and supplies Hez'B'Allah there is the growing perception that Israel is misdirecting the appropriate action.

On another topic, does anyone have any updates on the film?
‘Obsession - Radical Islam's War With the West.’

The invention of the Battle of Deir Yassin as a massacare is one of the highlights of Arab lies in order to attack Jews publicly and to maintain their fictional rights on the state of Israel. Wikipedia shouldn't give any even slight residue of entry to support their propaganda which is exploited as further excuse by terrorists.

Folks,

This is what "stabilizing" an Arab country looks like. This is what creating an Arab government looks like.

In the West, a sudden power vaccuum measn all the leaders start scrambling for their policies and rules and constitutions and then hit the podiums. In the Middle East, a sudden power vaccuum means everyone starts scrambling for their weapons and then hit the streets.

Middle Eastern Arab Muslims don't discuss and reason like Westerners do. Words mean nothing, as everyone is trying to position themselves in the seat of power using only two things: violence and lies. It's the rules as they all understand it, so that makes it fair.

The Arab way is the way of blood. In the end it doesn't really matter who is in power. The only thing that matters is that the issue gets settled. That will require lots of Arab-on-Arab killing - totally unavoidable within the context of this culture.

One can hope that the people who finally come to power are half way sane. It's possible (like UAE or Jordan), but don't bet on it. It's a total crap shoot.

PS: There are other jobs in Iraq besides those being generated by Westerners in the Green Zone. We pay more and provide a more pleasant working environment, that's all.
