The word cleric implies clergy; clergy implies faith. When it comes to Islam, an ideology that chose the outward-facing name Surrender, the question then would be: Faith in what?

An atrocious piece, by an Indian editor, on how splendidly the "communities" are getting along, and how Mumbai is back at work, as if nothing happened (but something did happen -- 200 people were killed and 700 injured, and commuters are now permanently fearful in Mumbai and in all of India's cities, and with reason), can be found in Newsweek International.

The key sentence in the piece mentions that "150 million Muslims live in India" and that, therefore....therefore, they just have to be loyal, they simply cannot be seen as threats, we cannot dare to analyze or think about things as they might be but must shut off all thought and discussion because....well, because there are those 150 million Muslims.

And that is the same level of thought, I'm afraid, that one will find even among some in the West, including those who are in the very organizations that are meant to protect us. They have not, and carefully determinedly have no intention of studying, Islam, they do not want to find out what the Qur'and and Sunnah naturally teach, what anyone would naturally take away from them. They do not want to investigate the nature of Muhammad as the Perfect Man, uswa hasana, al-insan al-kamil, worthy of emulation in all respects, because to do so, some of them must suspect, would be deeply disturbing to them, and they could not possibly accommodate that knowledge to their own sense, careerist and otherwise, that they must continue to limit their interest to the Hard Jihad of "terorrism," and must continue to utter pieties about the "peaceful" and completely "unthreatening" Muslim community, and must not utter alarms about Muslim immigration, or about the determined campaigns by CAIR and other Muslim groups, at every step, to hobble efforts that are perfectly justified security measures. CAIR, and all such groups, are conducting Jihad - the Soft Jihad. In the end all those in the Hard Jihad of terrorism could not exist and work so easily, were they not sustained, financially, and morally, and in every other way, by all those who participate in the Jihad not by throwing bombs, but by deluding Infidels, by tying their legal systems in knots, by insisting on the most absurd methods (all those Lutheran grandmothers pulled over at airlines in order to make sure that no one can accuse Homeland Security of "profiling" -- as if the word "profiling" dragged along behind it the scare-word "racial" when in fact it is perfectly reasonable to have the kind of "profiling" of the ideological sort, finding those who take their Qur'an and Sunnah seriously, whether born to the belief-system or, often more dangerous, a "revert" to it.

This comedy should be closed down, out of town, and never make it to The Great White Way.

The government has enormous power. But it is using this power to stifle us, not the terrorists or their inspirers. I wonder if you know of this incident, it happened last year. Illegals from bangladesh come across the Assam border, too. One of the border townpeople one fine day were so fed up with seeing their faces that they all joined in when a Hindu youth started fisticuffs on an illegal, and started hauling him off. The townspeople ALL joined in, forming groups to tackle the illegals. In the end, they made 10000 illegals march across the border back to bangladesh. No illegal was killed. The army at the border was happy to help the civilians push them back. This was carried by the TOI for just one day. After that, the government just clamped down on it. Nothing was discussed on the news channels, no magazine carried the story. It just died away.

They don't mention at all that the blog ban was directed at Hindu and anti-leftist websites. Instead they just leave it to the imagination, which would of course imply that Muslims were being targetted by the ban.

The NYT is a consistently and aggressively biased newspaper. They are truly a left-wing tabloid rag.

What should be done by some like the Russians, after every single terrorist attack worldwide, is go in with antiterrorist squads, and take out every single mullah that the terrorists came near.

Take out every single mullah, take out their families, take them all out.

Then the next terrorist attack, take out every single mullah in the area. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Ohhhh, the poor clerics shouldn't be harassed. They shouldn't just be harassed, they should be held accountable for preaching from the war manual. I know it's silly to think any muslim male could be held accountable for his actions, but it's time.

"Even" among "some"!? Try "also among the vast majority in the West."

I don't know whether Hugh's locution here, oft repeated in his other essays, is merely garnished with rhetorical rallying, or is bent by wishful thinking, or is simply formed by his actual assessment of the situation. The first would be forgivable, the second disturbing enough; the third evidence of a serious ophthalmological problem.

It just struck me - the reason Jihadwatch may have slipped under the RADAR was that it was mistaken for an Islamic site.

He is backtracking only for the uninformed masses in India. muslims regard 1947 as a loss since they think that had pakistan not been made, they would already have a lot of muslims in India, and with the damage they are doing already, think what would happen with that.

Uttaranchal has a lot of Hindu holy cities. The muslims felt really sorry when it was created out of Uttar Pradesh, since the focus of Uttaranchal government is on Hindu holy sites, which was not the case when it was a part of U.P.

Harit Pradesh, which is being demanded, will come into existence, and it will be a Hindu dominated one, as well. There will be Uttar Pradesh left, for the ummah.

Good to hear from you too. You are absolutely right.It looks like a lot of muslims in the subcontinent are being misquoted these days.

First Kasuri, Pakistani foreign minister was misquoted last week after the mumbai blasts, when he announced that terrorism in India would cease once it seceeded Kashmir. It must have dawned on him later, that even to the normally thick-headed Dhimmis this might suggest blackmail, if not outright complicity of his country in the terror attacks on India. So the misquote plea came up pronto.

Now we have this muslim minister with the audacity to suggest a separate state for the muslims in India, naturally with its own sharia laws , a place where the kafir hindus will have to learn to behave themselves...and why not, maybe even pay some ziziya one day. Indians should ruthlessly crush such ideas and their perpetrators.

In Kerala, the communists created the Muslim dominated district of Malappuram after carving it out of Calicut/malabar.

It will not be long before another demand for partition of the country is raised, Muslim League wasfounded in Dacca in 1906, the demand for Pakistan made in 1940 (?) and it was fruitful in 1947.

Same analogy here. "Muslim Pradesh" demand now, success in another 10 years - they will anyway outbreed us - I can imagine the overworked Mullas on the bed with their 7 wives and working hard to increase 'production' so that "Muslim Pradesh" demand is genuinely from a Muslim Majority.

I am a coptic Christian, which means that I am an Egyptian Christian. I just wanted to say that this site is amazing and that you are doing an amazing job. I used to know Hosam Armanious because I used to go to paltalk. He was a great person and he did not deserve what happened to him and his family and honestly, I don't know how a person can get so heartless to the point of slaughtering another human being. And we all should realize that islam is the main cause of all this islamic violence and terrorism. I believe that not all muslims are terrorists, BUT ALL TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIMS.
