Terrorist suspects, who plotted to bomb train tunnels in New York, also planned to set a wildfire in California, a newspaper report said on Monday.The mastermind, Assem Hammoud, who is now in custody, discussed the idea with a number of co-conspirators, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The report said U.S. and Lebanese officials discovered the plot by monitoring the conspirators' e-mail traffic on a website used by Islamic militants, and by scouring Hammoud's computer and his Beirut home and office after his arrest April 27.
"There have been suggestions that this was a lot further along than it was," the paper quoted one U.S. intelligence official as saying, referring to earlier reports that the suspects only plotted to bomb New York tunnels....
Hammoud, 31, has been charged in Lebanon with being mastermind of the plot. He has reportedly confessed to the plot and to pledging an oath of allegiance to Al Qaida.

On the contrary, this is exactly the approach Europeans should be taking.
Europe is a Continent with an aging work force and low birth-rates. Immigration is an economic imperative. What the Europeans should be doing is diversifying their immigration base by welcoming East Asians, Indian Hindus, sub-Saharan Africans and Latin Americans.
Muslim immigration, while still allowed, should be dramatically curtailed. Such a policy of embracing third-world immigration while diluting its Muslim component could be explained and justified by appropriating the Leftist language of "cultural diversity," thereby refuting the inevitable cries of racism from Muslim advocacy groups.
In essence, Europeans could avoid the bi-cultural society they are currently developing by enriching their countries with immigrants from diverse religious and ethnic backrounds. It is the one way to maintain a young work force without accelerating the process of Islamization.

The last agronomist I saw mentioned here was French, and the joke was milked for all it was worth. She bit off rather more than she could chew.

You people need to understand fires especially in So. California. From being a fireman there the condition known as the Santa Ana's are the most devastating in the state. The dry winds blow so hard towards the coast that fires are virtually impossible to stop. These freakin psycoislamics know it too....look what happened in 1994 in So Cal....burned from Interstate 5 all the way to the ocean and NOTHING the authorities could do. So we as citizens need to round every one of those clothbrained mainiacs and throw them into the fire that sends em all to hell. I am a news junkie, sitting here daily in front of the computer while also watching tv news channels. It is interesting that there is speculation that a number of these fires are muslim caused. I have thought this for some time, but not only forests, how about the chemical plants that suddenly catch fire or blow up, or the train that disrails. These animals hate us and will apply any means to destroy our intrastructure and our will. I say if a muslim is even a suspect deport them and their families immediately back to their land of origin. This must begin for time is running out!
