Mosque on Wheels Takes Islam to the German Streets

This group is performing da'wa, that is, the preaching of Islam, which is the precursor to jihad. No doubt they will not tell the German dhimmis anything about dhimmitude, or about the jihad itself, except comfortable half-truths and distortions. From Deutsche Welle, with thanks to Fjordman:

This summer, a group of Muslims is touring Germany with a mosque on wheels. They hope their ''rolling mosque'' will help change German public opinion, which often associates Islam and Muslims with terror and fanaticism.

On a recent Friday afternoon, a truck with a large trailer pulled up across from the historic town hall in Hanau, near Frankfurt. Oriental music blasted from the speakers, attracting attention.

A stage had been built on top of the trailer. A cupola and two minarets soared above the roof. Pillars and arches decorated the sides. Alongside was written "Islamobil," a word made up from the German words for Islam and automobile.

The Islamobil is a sort of travelling mosque, one that aims to inform Germans about Islam. A group of young Muslims from the small city of Brühl near Cologne came up with the idea in 2001 and will travel around Germany with it this summer.

One of the founders, Gülüzar Keskin, said the idea was born out of the desire to explain and illustrate Islam on-the-spot.

''First we established an organization with the goal of informing Germans about Islam,'' Keskin said. ''Then we thought it would be a very good and practical idea to create a mobile mosque and travel around Germany in it."

The image of Islam and Muslims has deteriorated in Germany since the terrorism attacks on Sept.11, 2001. Many citizens associate the religion with terror, fanaticism and the repression of women. The organizers hope the Islamobil will correct this picture.

I think someone should start touring with a Buddha on Wheels to let people know that Buddhism is not a violent, repressive cult of death and terror. I think it's very important to inform people about this, so they don't misunderstand Buddhism. You know how Buddhamophobia has been on the rise in Germany, because of those Martyrs of Zen murdering people all over the place.

What? There isn't any Buddhamophobia in Germany, you say? But how is that possible? There's totally unjust and unfounded Islamophobia for no reason, so clearly the same should happen with all major religions. I'm confused.

Commedia dell'arte, revived.

Jesus Christ Supercop

I like your post and I think that is exactly what people will think: What, free meals? There must be a catch.

I look forward to the tour.

Deception on wheels.

Rolling taquiya.

Here the problem is surely not the particular means chosen, but the aim -- the Da'wa here is not to save an individual soul, but to calculatedly play on the mental disarray of the psychically marginal, or the sense of alienation and desire to find a vehicle for such hostility, now that Marxism appears to be at least temporarily unavailable (Marxism, you see, has "steppped away from its desk"), of the economicaly marginal, who are fooled by Muslims into thinking that Islam stands, in contradistinction to other faiths, for "social justice." (for more on that, look at the total failure of rich Arab Muslims to help poor non-Arabs or even poor Arabs -- who must relyo, when they can, on foreign aid from Infidels -- and look at the maldistribution of wealth, and how the ruling classes stay in power, in every Muslim country. Some social justice!).

Mobile missionary-trucks or trailers are not the point. After all, Christian evangelists have long used flat-bottom trucks and trailers. One example is immortalized in Flannery O'Connor's "Wise Blood," when a preacher who goes from southern town to southern town stands up in his car and preaches to the assembled crowd, a crowd that includes Hazel Motes who will later decide to preach in his very own church, the "Church of Christ Without Christ." In New York City, and possibly elsewhee, one can find Lubavitch trailers that are trying not so much to convert everyone to their brand of Judaism, but to find Jews who, in their view, need to become "more Jewish" by finding out more about the Lubavitcher moveement, and about that charismatic polymath (now dead, but hardly forgotten) Menachem Schneerson.

An "islamomobil" is deplorable not because it is on wheels, but because all campaigns of Da'wa, permitted without Infidel vigilance, without Infidel understanding of what Islam is all about, are deplorable. One waits for prison authorities to segregate Muslim prisoners, so that they can no longer spread a belief-system that does not so much encourage a "revert" ("New Muslim" as Muslims have learned to say, for public use of the word "revert" would raise some unwelcome questions as to why that word is used) to go straight and fly right, as it does to embrace a total world-view that gives that prisoner the justification for being alienated from Infidel society, and those Infidels whom he now has a complete belief-system providing him with all the reasons for hating them. That is a national security threat, and it takes place not with "islamobils" but rather in the fixed spot of a prison, with what can truly be described as, for those calculatingly spreading Islam, engageed in Da'wa that is intent not on saving individual souls (individuals have no significance) but on finding more recruits for the Army of Allah, the greater Hizb-ullah, in order to bring about the defeat of the Infidels.

Yet those Infidels, their mind-forged manacles preventing them from taking the most obvious and justified steps to prevent this totalitarian system of mind-control (just look at those fanatical faces in Iran, or in Gaza, or in Pakistan, or in a hundred thousand other places) from capturing more minds, and turning those who may not been model citizens, but were at least not permanently and implacably hostile to Infidels and to the instutitions of the state, have now become, as Lindh or Padilla or Robert Reid or Adam Gadahn have become, life-threatening presences.

Assalamau-Laikum all,

What a wonderful idea, for them to promote peace and clear up the odd misunderstandings and misapprehensions.

I want them to try and use good quality speakers, so that the message is not distorted.

Flyers, phamplets, donation collection, imams on hand to explain that Abrahim, NOah, Moses, Jesus are all prophets of Islam.

Wonderful dawa, keep it up. ...please mention the Ahmadis too

please mention the Ahmadis too..by Naseem

WHAT??? And get US killed?

Naseem,

Still waiting for your uncorrupted manuscript evidence from antiquity that Abraham, Moses, Noah, or Jesus, had ANYTHING to do with Islam.

One can always hope for a fiery crash on the Autobahn!

I wish that in absense of demolition, every mosque in Infidel lands could be put on wheels, and carted to the nearest Mohammedan country. Under that scheme, mosques like the Jama Masjid in Delhi, Humayun's tomb, Qutb Minar, et al could all be carted away to Lahore. Same could be done to the mosques at Mathura, Varanasi, Allahabad er Prayag, et al. Once these sites are vacated, alternative development can occur there: in case of Mathura, Varanasi and Prayag, temples could come up, in place of Jama Masjid, a technology park could be built.

Oh, and the Pakis can have the Taj as well, if they so desire.

I love the challenge of a moving target!

I would like to see the mobile rolling mosque roll down the Rhine river and out of Germany.

Right on, Infidel Pride! All the mosques, filled with the muslims can go rolling out to sea to meet their maker. Any Friday would be a good day

Couldn't we call in an Israeli airstrike.

I like to see their pamflet like this :

"AHMADI IS NOT ISLAM."
"AHMADIS ARE THE TRAITOR."
"TO THE GERMANY : DON'T BE FOOLED BY AHMADIS DAWA, THEY ARE NOT OUR BROTHERS SINCE THEY ARE NOT THE FOLLOWER OF THE TRUE ISLAM LIKE US."
"BEING AHMADI IS BEING ISLAM BETRAYER."

I really love this game, ;P

The day will come, and I think soon, when Islamobiles will roll down the streets of the U.S. Every one of us has the duty to confront the Muslims on board these Da'wa vehicles. Make sure plenty of curious folks have gathered, and ask the questions that will expose Islam and their RV for what they are. If you've been reading these web sites and Spensor's books, you know what to say!
