India bombings update from Reuters:
MUMBAI (Reuters) - At least 135 people were killed and hundreds injured in seven bomb explosions on packed commuter trains and stations on Tuesday in Mumbai, India's financial hub, officials said. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the evening rush hour attacks, the worst in the city for more than a decade.
But suspicion was likely to centre on Muslim militants fighting New Delhi's rule in disputed Kashmir, who have been blamed for several bomb attacks in India in the past.
City Police Commissioner A.N. Roy told Reuters 135 people were killed while Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, the state's top elected official, said 300 people were injured in the blasts, which took place in the space of around 10 minutes.
But suspicion was likely to centre on Muslim militants fighting New Delhi's rule in disputed Kashmir
Bollocks,
It wasnt Kashmiris, it was local Muslims (there are 4 million Muslim in Mumbai). They rioted in Bhiwandi (Mslim ge=hetto to north of Mumbai) last Friday, cops killed two of them. I think these were "revenge" bombings.
So, how do we choose to react to this? Do we seek the "good" Muslims and beg them to denounce these attrocities, wash it over and start the cycle anew until more innocent non-Muslims are murdered?
Which country is next?
So, how do we choose to react to this?
The proper reaction should be widespread reprisals against all Islamic infrastructure.
Shut down the mosques and interne all Muslim males between the ages of 15-60.
I suspect last week's underground accident in Valencia, right before the visit of the pope was also the handiwork of those murderous islamic fanatics.
what do you guys think?
Islam... the religion of 'pieces'.
I wonder if any muslim has ever looked up the meaning of peace? I doubt it!
All people are created in the image of God and we are his highest creation. Its crazy to think that people(muslims) can actually believe that by murdering people they are honouring God and on top of that will go to heaven!
rocky:
I think many incidents that are quickly whitewashed and pushed off the books are actually undocumented or covered-up jihadist attacks. I even had suspicions when I heard of a bombing of a building in NYC yesterday and someone claimed it was caused by a "suicide attempt". What the hell kind of "suicide attempt" has the power to bring down a multiple-story building!? Answer: One with a Muslim attached to the bomb.
Yes, I feel we are not hearing but 2/3rds of the truth most of the time.
So my question is this: is Islam a cancer on Humanity, or is it a crime against Humanity? Or in the words of the great Deion Sanders (speaking on another subject, to be sure) is it BOTH???
Foehammer,
Right, the press seems to cover up muslim crimes.
In Valencia last Monday it was also a full commuter train at peak time, right before reaching a stop called "Jesus", a few days before the visit of the Pope.
stinks of the hand of islam if you ask me...
Naseem, any comments? What defense do you offer?
Islam IS the problem.
Don't expect Naseem to offer any defense. She'll have loved it. Like most Muslims, she revels in the deaths of infidels.
Here we go. Now it's reported that there's a claim of responsibility:
Bloomberg: Mumbai Blasts Kill at Least 137 People, Injure 450 (Update2)
Naseem is dancing and passing out candy
Let's not be too hasty. It could have been zen terrorists or buddhist terrorists, or those damn French mimes again. (Infidel humor and sarcasm.)
Or the patagonian tribes' terrorists. you know those guys were deprived of their land.
americaningermany,
She's not a full-blown Muslim but a member of the heretical Ahmadiyya Movement. She's non-violent. On the larger question she doesn't seem to know which way to jump, because the Muslims persecute Ahmadis just like they persecute everyone else. I've only a limted amount of sympathy for her, but I doubt she's pleased at this - she probably sees stuff like this and realizes it is merely yet another expression of a violence that might soon be turned on her. She's mentioned attacks on her friends by, as it were, "Muslims proper" before now. That doesn't stop her gloating over the thought that the US and other nations aren't doing enough to combat Islam, of course. She's stuck in between looking suspiciously at non-Muslims and Muslims.
or the eskimo terrorists;.. yeah, they don't have a state of their own.Pleanty to complain about...
I'm a native resident of Bombay (currently in Los Angeles). I've been trying to get in touch with friends and relatives back there for the past 3 hours (the blasts took place approximately 4.5 - 5 hours ago). I was finally able to speak to some of them.
Thankfully the people that I've spoken to are fine. The transport system in Bombay has been paralysed - when the blasts took place, all trains were immediately shut down. Then there was a rumour that BEST buses, our local bus service - the second most preferred way of commuting in Bombay, were also targetted. People are staying put at their offices or at their friends' homes or are walking home.
If I know Bombay, things will be up and running tomorrow - this will be attributed to the famed "Mumbai Spirit". Sometimes I feel that this very Mumbai Spirit has desensitized us to the happenings around us. However, I can't blame people for getting on with their lives - I did the same a couple of years ago when similar blasts occured in trains and buses.
I just hope that the people who did this are caught and brought to justice.
Abhishek,
no chance as long as Indian politicians flatter the local muslim audience.
the Indian press is full of anti US and anti-war in Iraq statements
Eventually everyone, including Nasseem, will have to take a stand. There is no middle ground in this belief system. People who remain passive will be easily coerced into radical muslim behavior, or, they will be killed.
So, figure out what it is you believe in, because you will someday be fighting and dying for it.
Persdonally, I love the smell of Hoppes #9.
Terrorism has to be fought globally.
But India betrays the cause by going out on the tangent of strident anti-americanism.
One cannot fight the Islamic terrorists while opposing the US.
Abhishek, it is islam that caused this. The only way to get justice is to get to the root of the problem. Until then, there will be more killings. We need to get rid of islam.
american in germany,
I was being sarcastic about the fact that the press justifies the islamo-palestinian terrorism.
but why didn't this terrorism grow among other aggrieved people groups on earth?
the answer is islam and the hysteria and hatred it breeds
The religion of peaces.....and parts

Yojimbo,
The ahmadiyyas are just a heresy within a heresy.
Rocky,
India has been fighting Islamic Terrorism since 1988 - it's just that before 2001 no body called it that. And who do you think has our hands tied behind our back in going after the terrorists based in Pakistan - the US. Not that I blame the US, they're just doing what (they think) is best suited to their interests (although I don't think that having an ally in Pakistan is to their best interests).
Our government should have the guts to stand up to Pakistan (and the US if that's what it takes) and force the shutdown of the terrorists camps based there.
This from rediff -
Grenade blasts shake Srinagar, 8 dead
Srinagar, July 11: Eight persons, including five tourists from West Bengal, were killed and over two dozen others injured in a series of grenade attacks by militants in different parts of the city on Tuesday. Most of the victims were tourists visiting the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. This is the sixth attack on tourists in the Valley since the beginning of the tourist season this year.
First attack at Dal Gate
Ultras hurled a grenade at a vehicle carrying tourists near Sultan Bakery at Dal Gate around 11:50 am, killing five persons, including three women, and injuring 12 others, they said.
All the dead were from Kolkata while nine of the injured were also from West Bengal. About 30 people were on board the fully-packed Jammu and Kashmir State Road Corporation bus.
Two injured were residents of Dal Gate while another person wounded was from Udhampur, the officials said.
Second attack at Residency Road
Minutes after a tourist vehicle was attacked in the Dal Gate area, another grenade explosion was reported in the busy commercial hub of Residency Road.
A grenade was lobbed at a Maruti car bearing a Haryana registration number. At least two people have been injured in the attack, though there is no official confirmation of casualties.
Third attack at Ghantaghar area
Within one hour of the two grenade attacks in the Dal Gate and Residency Road areas of the city, another attack was reported near the Ghantaghar (clock tower) Lal Chowk area.
Fourth attack near Regal Chowk
Within one hour of the three grenade attacks in Dal Gate, Residency Road and Clock Tower areas of the city, another attack was reported near the Regal Chowk area.
Three children were injured when a grenade was lobbed near a Santro car.
Fifth blast at Tourist Reception Centre
Soon after the blast near Regal Chowk area, militants hurled grenade at the Tourist Reception Centre in Srinagar. One person was reported to be injured in this attack.
Details are awaited.
PDP condemns attack
Condemning the attacks PDP leader, Mehbooba Mufti said, "This incident is very unfortunate. I have heard that people who were trying to help the injured were beaten by the police. Innocent people are being attacked in the Valley. The people have to stand up for the state."
Passers-by nab militant after grenade attack
In a rare instance, passers- by caught a suspected militant and handed him over to police soon after he lobbed a grenade on a vehicle in the heart of Srinagar, officials said.
The people nabbed Mohammad Afzal, a resident of Nesbal in Baramulla district, after he allegedly hurled a grenade on the vehicle near the tourist reception centre this afternoon, they said.
Afzal was handed over to a police party that was patrolling the area. He was later taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation, the officials said.
Three of family among five Bengalis killed
The five Bengali tourists among the six killed in today`s grenade attack by extremists on a vehicle at Dal Gate in Srinagar, included a family of three.
The five were from Dum Dum and Lake Town areas in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal IGP (law and order) Raj Kanojia told mediapersons here.
Kanojia said the dead were identified as Pratima Bhattacharya, Chhaya Bhattacharya and Sandip Bhattacharya - belonging to the same family - besides Kaberi Ghosh Roy and Bandana Haldar.
Bureau Report
abhishek,
You have got a point,
But I am positive that the US are now drawing away from Pakistan, they know the kind of country it is and they know pakistan breeds islamic terrorists
Lemme guess: The "root-cause" of this must be Israel, no?
Ah, then it must be BLair's false policies in the ME?
No?
I got it: It must be Chechnya and the fact that Basayev was killed by the Russians!
Wrong again? Damned! Must be because of the oppression in the south of Thailand? What about the Abu Sayyaf in the Philippines?
Again no? Gee, what's left? It must be Afghanistan and the oppression of Muslims there?
No again? Then is it because of Cashmere? or is it Islam against the rest of the world? No! You don't say! Oh no: This would be just to horrible to contemplate....
Oh my foot! You mean, oh no, can't have that: You mean Islam is not a RoP ????
Assalamau_laikum all,
My most sincere condolences to the peoples of Mumbai. Despite a personal berievement last week, one cannot imagine the grief of the peoples who will have lost loved ones with such vicious suddeness.
I condemn these attacks from these bastard cowards completely. There is NO reason...none for this sort total murder.
I have said to you that I condemn all forms of violence...and I do NOT advocate cheering or handing out of sweets as some of you have so cruelly said.
These bastards have no place in humanity. I admit these groups are probably Pakistan based...and I hope Allah strikes them down.
Once again my condolences and I hope that the Indian police and security forces have brilliant success against these sub-human cowardily jihadists....
I agree that a large number of Muslim atrocities are not mentioned as such..as the free world loses the war against the islamic world, they pretend that something else is happening. They pretend so as not to look defeat in the face.
No safe place until all muslims are dead and gone. This is the world we live in today.
Naseem: "These bastards have no place in humanity. I admit these groups are probably Pakistan based...and I hope Allah strikes them down."
Eh? What are you smoking? They're doing what Allah wants them to do, he has no reason to strike them down. Allah is a God of war.
Rocky,
I can see now that the US politicians are doing their best to improve relations with India. In India too, the decades-old suspicions against the US are disappearing. If only the blasted Left kept their nose out of it.
India has more in common with the US than with other countries. The coming together of the current superpower and the upcoming superpower would benefit both countries. I just hope that both countries are in a good-enough shape in the next 10-20 years to be able to reap the benefits of such a union!!!
On a personal front, I've been able to get in touch with more friends and relatives - a few of them spoke of some really close shaves. One of them was in the train that left just before the blasts took place. A cousin of mine was outside Matunga Station when the blast actually took place. All the people who I've spoken too have described the situation as "horrifying".
God give us the strength and courage to get through this.

Rocky & Abhishek
Both countries are at fault. India is, for long championing the Islamic cause against Israel, in the mistaken assumption that the ummah wouldn't gang up with Pakistan against India (on Kashmir). The US is at fault not only for its relations with Pakistan, but also its attempts to undermine anti-Islamic forces in India. Examples of this would include the State Department report criticizing the last Indian government for teaching the truth about Islamic rule in India in history books, and for denying Gujarat CM Narendra Modi permission to visit for a public function for which he was invited. Problem is that there is almost no government anywhere in the world that sees the Islamic threat the way we on this forum see it.
The terrorists are very upset about the "occupation"--of Dar al Harb by infidels.
Naseem
Did U brush your tooth this morning?
Times of India:

In my dream India, the PM would order all jihadi training camps in Pak-occupied Kashmir to be bombed and dismantled, assassinations of foreign jihadis ordered, and mosques raided to find evidence.
But in the real India, the politicos one after the other will call this tragedy 'inhuman' and advise us against 'division in society'. Any criticism of the local muslims involved in this act of war will be deemed fascist, job and education quotas offered to muslims to stop them from 'alienation'.
My spirit is almost broken. Hope lies in the west now. India is a goner
I'm wondering if there is any history of Islam/Jihadis' attacking India. Let's see....

Naseem, good for you. Right is right and wrong is wrong. This is one we can all agree on.
Yojimbo
You beat me to it. In other words, this isn't just a Paki terror act (Lashkar being a Lahore based terror group), this shows that Indian Muslims are involved as well. In other words, this isn't a mere Pakistani plot against India, it's a Muslim act of war on Hindus.
Tushar
I wish India would at least start internally by flushing out all Islamic groups, like SIMI above. They had TADA during the last government, but this United Progressive Alliance regime (backed by the Communists) has been too quick to remove the protections average Infidel citizens have.
I fear for places in India beyond Mumbai. Where next?
Praise Mohammad for Allah is dead.
IP,
Major cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Calcutta need to be on the watchout. The terrorists will always hit a country where it hurts the most - Mumbai is unfortunately the most-hit because it's the financial capital of India.
Hitting the Western line trains (perhaps one of the most used transportation system in the world) at peak hours (6 - 7 PM being the time when most people are going back to their homes after work) clearly signals the intent of the terrorists to cause widespread killing and mayhem. I would guess that each compartment carries close to 300-400 people during those hours. The people near the epicentre of the blasts would have no chance at all.
Sorry Naseem, I dont buy your crap. This is what Muslims do to spread the word of Allah aka Satan.
Foehammer and Rocky:
I'm in Spain and the anti-terror police looked the Valencia metro accident over and came up with nothing to support a terrorist attack. I was admittedly suspicious as they still haven't named the driver - but today the black box has shown that whoever was driving made some attempt to brake, albeit too late. So I don't think it was a jihadi, just an inexperienced and hung over driver.
For the recent NYC explosion, that kind of stuff is not unknown in Spain where every apartment has a few gas canisters. The common cause is a suicide attempt, though they usually mean to gas themselves rather than bring the building down. So I can believe that was no jihadi, either.
"As long as it doesn't happen here in America."
-Templar13
What kind of a remark is that??? Does that mean that if it happens anyplace other than America, it's fine??? When 9/11 struck, people all over the world condemned the attacks. A french newspaper said "Nous sommes tous Américains" - We are all Americans (today) - a sentiment echoed by most civilized people in the world. I didn't here anybody going "As long as it doesn't happen here in France." or "As long as it doesn't happen here in India." Really insensitive remark at a time like this!!!
Naseem wake up and smell the coffee, its Islam at its best, you need to be honest with yourself and leave it, as you will be the next target. Try to go back in your mind, and remember your ancestors, they were not muslims, they are most likely crying now that you have have abandaned them for the murderous cult you call islam. remember your ancestors Naaseem.
Folks,
The recent blasts in India should be another wake-up call that no matter were we live, we are all are at risk.
americaningermany,
Yes, Naseem has posted, condemms the violence. I hope for her own safety she leaves where she is leaving and heads west before things get worse for her.
I agree with Naseem that the bombers are cowardly scum who need to be struck down. But what Naseem will never admit is these mass murderers of Hindus are merely doing what the Koran commands them to do. To emulate the evil cowardly murderous life of the Arab gangster Muhammed
"Moderate" Muslims will never 'fess up to being duped into following the preachings of this master con artist. They are brainwashed fools which I could ignore except for the terrorism, demographic warfare and Jihads they make
I'll pray for the injured and bereaved.
It's transport again. Trains, buses, planes but no boats recently. Quiet, don't speak too soon.
This is a bad business.
Assalamau-Laikum ,
Templair13 says "As long as it doesn't happen here in America."
WHAT ARE U ON TEMPLAIR13???? What would make you say such an insensitive remark.
I think I would go as far as saying that if global domaination is gonna come like this...then I don't want it.

Wait until you smell strontium-90 and caesium-137, you'll love it. It also means that you have survived the initial nuclear exchange.
To Vikrant, Arjun, The Hindu and to the whole gentle and proud Hindu people my heartfelt condolences and prayers.
Only last night I cheered a BBC feature on Hindus in the UK, who expressed their hurt at being bundled up with the Muslims as Asians (whenever a violent act is committed or planned), their input into the prosperity of the British nation greatly undervalued. One man stated that Hindus being peaceful and gentle are being pushed to the background while Muslims are given all the attention (totally undeserved of course - but he could not say this!) more rights. How true and admitted at last on Al BBCeeeya! Is the tide turning???
Polish Infideless
Looks like in Britain, the Hindus and Sikhs have had enough and don't want to be called 'Asians' any more, due to their being bunched in with Muslims.

From the article
Is this something Brits can enlighten us more on?Naseem, I think Templar is being sarcastic; it already happened in America on 9-11, on a scale much larger than even the horrible events of today in India. Glad to see you are on the side of reason in this one dear. Now do you understand why the West is not willing to embrace islam, why we say that it is not a religion of peace?
Bohemond
Sorry to disagree with you, but Templar13 has been incredibly mean today about Hindus, and had launched a whole series of diatribes about India. There's a reason all his posts in the threads got deleted. It's one thing to question India's commitment against the Jihad, but quite another to imply that Hindus deserve what they have coming to them. His other threads over the last few days have been anti-Gay and anti-athiest, so he has more than just one chip on his shoulder.
IP, thanks, I thought Temp was just being sarcastic or kidding. Now I know.
