Mumbai jihad bomb group funded from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE

Friend and Ally Updates: "Attacks retaliation for Gujarat riots?," from the Times of India, with thanks to LGF:

MUMBAI: Gujarat appears to loom large over the Mumbai blasts. That’s apparently why terrorists targeted only the Western Railway tracks and that too only first-class coaches.

Sources said the aim apparently was to hit moneyed Gujaratis, many of whom stay in suburbs of Vile Parle, Kandivli, Malad and Borivli along the Western Railway and travel first class.

The Lashkar-e-Taiba, intelligence reports suggest, has recruited local youths saying that they should take revenge for the atrocities heaped on the minority community in Gujarat where the Narendra Modi government is heavily funded by the rich Gujarati businessmen of Mumbai.

It is not for nothing that Modi is coming here early next week to meet community leaders. A former activist of the Students' Movement of India (SIMI) said that since LeT is not able to find recruits in Gujarat, it has brainwashed former activists of SIMI and new recruits in Maharashtra.

"Funds are available for the asking for LeT not only from Pakistan, but also from Wahabi fundamentalists in Saudi Arabia and the UAE," the ex-activist stated.

The headlines today are just more Islamaphobia. Jihadwatch should be made to feel shame.

It is surprising, but this attack - killing 200 people - seems already to be off the MSM radar. This is a major attack - but, for example, on Yahoo's front page, these stories are considered more important:

- Transgender prof defends female scientists
- Living alone may double heart disease risk
- Human-tower teams build tradition in Spain

Strange. I guess unless it is affects your life, most people don't care. Sad.

Islamaphobia is the knowledge of the enemy. the only shame that is concerned, is that no muslims seem to take any responsibilty for actions of their peers.

From a related article

It is not for nothing that Modi is coming here early next week to meet community leaders. A former activist of the Students' Movement of India (SIMI) said that since LeT is not able to find recruits in Gujarat, it has brainwashed former activists of SIMI and new recruits in Maharashtra.
Translation: the Gujarat riots had the desired effect in teaching Muslims a lesson they have yet to forget. This needs to have a salutary effect in the rest of India, if the Mohammedans are to be 'pacified'.

Some more details on SIMI over the last 5 years, since this is their major debut in the terrorism racket

I am always disgusted by how quickly such a major event disappears off the front pages, if it shows up at all. And as RelegionofPeas points out, their choice of replacement stories are appalling.

I don't want to make this a West/America bashing diatribe, but had this carnage happened in the US, one would see wall to wall coverage of it for the next month, if not the year. Don't get me wrong, that would be appropriate, but to relegate such a major news item to the backburner just because it happened outside the West reeks of racism on part of the MSM (and that's not an accusation I normally level against anybody, since it has such strong undertones to it). This is of course assuming it's covered at all - on Fox News Special Report - something I normally enjoy, the roundtable discussion had no mention of it. Instead, Bob Novak's revelation of his source in the Valery Plame leak case was more important.

I had already lost most of my respect for Fox News, when they decided that the Line-up with Kimberley Gillfoil (sp?) is a major program, and Hannity & Colmes daily covering the Duke lacrosse case. I'm starting to lose it for Brit Hume as well.

A big reason why the Internet deserves to replace the MSM as the main source of news - something they constantly whine about.

Lulu-

It's all your fault.

Being a Muslim is "never having to say you're sorry" and I'm sure all the Muslim bombers in India have high self esteem, as they look at the legs and arms of Infidel Hindus land on wind-shields, and the red blood spray-paint the pavement. Maybe we will hear a few jokes from a London cleric about the changes that occured in the lives of these Infidels in India, jokes that will cheer us up and reassure all the what we see is not real, that we are just Islamaphobes that don't understand Submission (aka Islam).

Someday Muslims (especially in the Mideast) will feel the reality that a London cleric laughs at and not laugh.

Exactly what atrocities were "heaped on the minority community"? Refusal to kowtow to Muslims?

Naseem?!?! You got some 'splaining to do!

Down in Australia it is still in the news, but I too noticed it didn't get enough attention. It should have got heaps - like London, Bali, Madrid and 9/11.

I am posting an editorial from the Herald Sun.

Destination death

13jul06

THE Indian train bombings are the latest outrage by murderous psychopaths who kill innocent people in pursuit of deluded goals.

It is unclear which bunch of maniacs killed almost 200 innocent people on suburban trains in Mumbai on Tuesday.
But prime suspects are Muslim militants fighting New Delhi's rule in disputed Kashmir, and who have been blamed for several past bomb attacks in India.

Earlier, in the Kashmiri city of Srinagar, grenade attacks killed eight tourists and injured 39 people.

Whoever carried out these acts are ideological brethren of global fanatics whose philosophy is to achieve their ends through terror.

New York's September 11 tragedy, and the Madrid and London bombings were down to disciples of Osama bin Laden.

Their outrages and others around the globe all have one terrifying thing in common -- the culprits seek to kill indiscriminately to make their mad points.

Prime Minister John Howard had a sobering message for Australia: "It is a reminder that no country is immune from the possibility of terrorist attacks . . . we cannot afford to assume that it will never happen in our country."

The chilling reality is that no amount of security can guarantee that a terrorist will not board a suburban train in Melbourne with a deadly package. All we can do is be alert and try not to be alarmed.

For those here who rate the civil rights of accused terrorists and their associates ahead of public safety, the Mumbai horror is a reminder that there is no room for naivety in this deadly war.

We are obviously a lot smarter!

(or maybe the MSM doesn't want to be sued?)

Whenever it's the 11th of the month, it's time to batten down the hatches, no matter which part of the world you live in.

The jihadis seem to be making dates their calling card.

Note the reference to 'youths' in the original story! Are the Indians as PC as the French?!

Infidel Pride: if you had any respect for Fox News to begin with, you're probably not too bright.

"Someday Muslims (especially in the Mideast) will feel the reality that a London cleric laughs at and will not laugh"

Frank-
Many are not laughing in the Beirut area right now, and it looks as if they have now targeted the Beirut airport. That story about the stand up comedian cleric stuck with me too. That's the difference between the cultures, BUT SINCE ALL CULTURES ARE THE SAME.......(bullshit moral EQ mode off.)

UAE is doing ports right??? Real friend right??? G.W. thinks they are modern right??? They let people like Dawood Ibrahim go and come right??? Child Slaves????

In some ways I do hold us (the USA) responsible for India and her sufferings...we help Pakistan and UAE and these so called friends kill and rape Hindus all the time as though they don't matter. As long as the oil keeps pumping...right?

As an american its sickens me to think that the men who killed our own people on 911 had the help of these so called friends. But what makes me even sicker is the idea that our money and weapons are being used on innocent serbs, africans, Indian hindus, russians, jews and many many others. Its bad enough that OUR stupidity gets OUR people killed but it is even worse when OUR stupidity gets the neighbors kid killed..

We can sit around and think Bush is a republican and a conservative...good christian right. He is yellow. He his a liar. He (and many others: dems and republicans) are traitors. Its that simple.

We can complain about the "MSM" but in the end our leadership is the real problem. WE NEED LEADERS and FIGHTERS. I don't care if he or she is a dem, rep, or ind. I don't care if he is a christian, jew or does not believe in god. I don't care about gay marriage or mexicans picking peppers or Plame affair. There is a billion muslims and a large portion want to destroy us all and our so called leaders only care about issues that will not change any of this. We are beyond that.....its about survival at this point....

It's quite the fashion these days -- keep complaining about the awfulness of the country that you're trying to illegally shove your way into.

"That India/US/UK is such an awful oppressive place to live -- I would never want to live with such rotten infidel oppressors in a million years. Quick -- help smuggle me in."

Title: Can a good Muslim be a good American?

Name: ritter

Can a good Muslim be a good American?

I forwarded that question to a friend that worked in Saudi Arabia for 20
years.

The following is his forwarded reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon God of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian`s God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as
heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran`s 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation ....perhaps we should be very
suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish....it`s still the truth.

The world according to CNN. That is the world that America sees. Now you know why the threat of islam is not really understood. People look at CNN and assume the biggest stories are those on the front page. So one logically assumes from this list, that one of the biggest stories in the world right now is a story of a wasp nest in a couple's backyward.

Growing up and into my early 20s I thought the same thing. I assumed that "all the news that's fit to print" would indeed be printed. It was only much later that I realized that the people that print newspapers have their own political slants and actually censor whatever news stories they do not want to discuss with the world, and show the ones they do. So the world we see is not the world as it really is. It is the world only as it is presented by a select group of people. I was about 25 when I realized that.

This was a revelation for me. It was only then that I understood that the institution of the media was fundamentally corrupt. An editorial is one thing. That is up front. But omitting or downplaying news stories had an ulterior motive.

What is interesting is that there is not one truly conservative news source on the internet today. Nor a single conservative news channel. Fox News is a joke, and doesn't do any better a job of reporting the stories that matter. Unless it's a nascar accident.

This leads to our frustration with the MSM. Blue state people like their news liberal, while Red state people like their news short, simple, and locally-themed - like town BBQs and sports.

That leaves the conservative-minded people who care about the big ideas of our age - like the threat of islam - SOL.

I see the dhimmi press is still continuing its crusade against Gujarati Hindus for commiting the sin of retaliating against Muslim violence in 2002.
That too citing intelligence reports of the arch dhimmi government that pays its terroist enabling enemy on the same day hundreds of innocent men, women, and children are slaughtered.

http://in.rediff.com/news/2006/jul/11look.htm

Now the excuse for every Islamic atrocity from Delhi, to Varanasi, to Mumbai, is a 4 year old riot in retaliation for burning alive of 58 innocent women and children.

Nice work Toilet (paper) of India.

Good one, Texican!

I just had a thought, OT:

When I first read Nostradamus many years ago, he said the name of the anti-christ was "Mabus".

Back then, with poetic licence, I thought this could mean "Sadam", letters almost fit if you turn some backwards, given that Nostradamus mentions "Hister" rather than Hitler.
(I know some people believe 'hister' is the name of a river).

However M A B U S can be turned around to make
USAM B. (also using poetic licence).Maybe that is what Nostradamus meant? Of course usb and his leader, mo' fit the title "anti-christ" so perfectly!

I am sure that in horrendously crowded trains in Mumbai only some "moneyed communities" can travel. - anybody who has traveled in Mumbai trains will tell you how ridiculous this statement is (Reality is the "first class" is one level above a pig sty)
Or maybe the nails in he bombs would work like guided missiles and ask each one which community they belong to before blowing them up.
Maybe the train compartment said "look there is a rich moneyed Hindu Gujarati hiding in me come and kill him"

This article is basically Indias treasonous leftists telling the Muslim jihadis which excuse to use to justify the bomb blasts - notice that it comes soooo late after the blasts since the leftists are panicking at the public anger and trying to tell everyone who will listen that the bombs were not targeted randomly at everyone but only at one group.

The rich Indians have cars with drivers.
Were there NO muslims on the trains?

ik, this is what I call the Red-Green Show. Everytime the Islamists do something outrageous, the left-wingers will quickly come charging in to follow up with a verbal defense of it.

It's like the post-game spin. Perhaps the lefties are living vicariously through the Islamist "successes".

During the Spanish Civil War, lefties from all around the world showed up to fight for their leftist cause there. But during the Afghan War, you never saw any of the wider leftist tribe show up in Afghanistan to fight for their Soviet heroes. I wonder why?

SomethingaboutIslam,

Here are the front pages of 552 newspapers in 49 countries for July 12th 2006.
Notice how many cover the Mumbai bombings - tell me this is just a strange coincidence

Here is another example of the treasonous Toilet Paper of India naming an eyewitness and syaing where he works - this was during the attack in Bangalore

""I saw the terrorist. I can identify him." That's what 35-year-old victim Vijay Patil, a lab assistant with Cadilla Pharmaceuticals, said from the Intensive Care Unit of M S Ramaiah Memorial Hospital."

They modified the article - originally the Toi reporter put on a Doctors coat to get in and fooled the guy so that he could get the answer - they removed that paragraph later on to claim that they legitimately interviewed the eyewitness

Notice all the news coverage referring to these jihadi scum as 'miltants'. For some reason the MSM feels the need to legitimise their behaviour, as if targeting the commuters may have some reasoning behind it. I guess it helps the zombie journalists feel like they understand this religiously inspired anarchy.

Did anyone see this quote posted on LGF?

"I summon my blue-eyed slaves anytime it pleases me. I command the Americans to send me their bravest soldiers to die for me. Anytime I clap my hands a stupid genie called the American ambassador appears to do my bidding. When the Americans die in my service their bodies are frozen in metal boxes by the US Embassy and American airplanes carry them away, as if they never existed. Truly, America is my favorite slave."

She said:

"Wasn't he, some kind of president, like, the president of, of , of, like, Israel...!"

The Americans are not the only ones living in a bubble...

(Just saying 'hello' from downunder...!)

Dear JW/DW readers

Mumbai Update

The same commuter system that was targetted with bombs was starting to operate 4 hours after the incident. Now traffic on the same lines is relatively normal.
Mumbaikers seem obsessed with returning to normalcy. Offices which reported slight decline in attendance are now operating with close to full attendance. The spirit of tiding over the crisis was huge..with hospitals complaining of having too many volunteers and blood banks in the ground zero hospitals saying that their blood banks were full because of numerous donations.
On that fateful day, people who went home by cab (since train services were affected) were caught in traffic jams. Locals provided continuous source of water and food to these people who were stuck in traffic.
All this is definitely admirable, and it sends a clear message to those muslim perps that their objectives failed, and their cowardice is scant enough to bring down the infidel economy.
But there is one thing missing and that is anger, there are no expressions of outrage. Perhaps I am being premature but it seems that people are being fatalistic about the entire issue. Certain papers such as the Indian Express have come out with editorials calling for stricter polity rather than patchwork measures, but that is it. There is no talk of the Islamic fundamentalistic and the real issues behind this blast. Reports say that 150 people have been detained...no names though. The ISI-Kashmir-International Terrorist Story(as withered as it is) is still being passed on as the theory. While the Government talks about final victory against terror, Ministers are talking about appeasing Muslims.

http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_1741851,001302220000.htm

Muslims are out declaring that Islam is a religion of peace and the terrorists are not true muslim bullshit.
Same old B***s**t, but people are not reacting. It is disturbing. It makes me wonder whether we, as people have become attuned to getting whipped and then going on with our lives as if nothing happened. It scares me because in the endeavour to get on with life, we are ignoring the reasons for such atrocities. We just move on till we get whipped again, following which we will only lick our wounds and move on..again..and the cycle goes on.

Somebody..please prove me wrong......

Sheik,

Hello back from Victoria!
Yes,,that is also true! I have met members of the US intelligentsia also so I know they exist.

I think I was having more of a go at the news available there.

Trouble is when you get to my age and you have lived through so much of this history you can't understand why people aren't aware of it,lol!

thehindu:
This isn't good. Perhaps we are all becoming desensitized to it all and too accepting?
I guess when you look at the size of the muslim world it is easy to give up in despair.

I don't know the answer: this is a war like no other and thus there is no parallel in history we can draw from.

I know if they didn't have all the oil it would be so simple.
Maybe some of the world leaders will realise now it is not just Israel who is the arch enemy. They have targeted Hindus, Jews and Christians and "redefined" their enemy more boldly.

Do you know the status of the Indian army? Are they up to the task?

Us Aussies have troops in Afganistan, Iraq and East Timor. We have a population about the size of California. We don't have the man-power, and we have Indonesia on our doorstep.I don't think we can do much more.

I wonder if these creeps would target China? That could be interesting!

Gramfan

The Indian army has beaten the Pakistanis three times. They are capable of taking on a conventional islamic army.

I do believe that the Australian Army, despite its size limitations, can take on Indonesia in a conventional war if it were ever to be fought. This is because of quality and technological advantages that the Australian Armed Forces would enjoy.

But this is not a conventional war. Doing a "Von Clausewitz" against an enemy intent on following "Sun Tzu" is not possible. They do not materialize to form a physical entity, like the Nazis or the Commies did. They remain in the shadows and feed like parasites on the economical and sociological benefits of secularism, while they continue to work at their goals of global submission to Islam.

The fact that they have societies inserted in secular countries (or Dar-al-harb as they call it) gives them a huge moral buffer, which prevents unilateral action being taken against them, as would have been done in the case of Nazism.

These buffer societies also refuse to reform themselves and often call for "islamic accomodation" within these host countries (read privileged rights for muslims and implementation of sharia).Instead of working for prosperity, they use a "I am a victim" approach and demand special concessions, all the while threatening "dissension" if they are not taken care of.

It is this buffer, this smokescreen that should be removed and pressure exerted for reform within islam. If that fails, conflict on a scale that would redefine the concept the war looks inevitable.

Thanks for answering. I was not sure of the status of the Indian army and you have clarified it for me.

Re the fact they are not a conventional enemey,,yes , this has been in my thoughts a long time. The nazis were a much easier target in that sense.

The fact they are among us, using our laws against us, etc etc as you say is indeed true.
I believe we are being invaded from the inside.

About Indonesia - that I am not so sure about.
I know our government is trying to keep good relations with them and I think this is because the Indons are as yet not as extreme. Of course they do have Baku Bashir and his ilk which is a worry.
I know arab muslims think non-arab muslims are inferior and perhaps this could work in our favour.
