The alternative is to allow people to have relationships as free human beings, and to stone those people who commit murder, like Jack the Ripper. Stone the killers, not the lovers.

Her crime was to make love. The fruits of love should be more love. Their crime, however, was to kill. The fruits of killing, should be more killing in kind.

My alternative is to stone every muslim who ever participated in a stoning to teach them the fruits of brutality. I would also stone those that support stoning, like this william wallace troll. Except, like the real william wallace, I would disembowel him first. Not enough to kill him, just enough to cause discomfort. Cruelty must be answered with cruelty to make the muslims quake. Stoning is not only a form of brutality and cruelty, it is also done in a cowardly way. They don't even let the victim see her murderers. They put a bag over her head so that they can throw stones annonymously. The whole problem is...she is a woman. A woman gets the maximum punishment for male rage. She disobeyed the male dominated rules for female behavior. Really p*ssed the men off. Other women may decide to do things they want to do. Can't have that can we?

I'm not gonna be the type to have a debate with trolls because I'm not well versed in Islam or their books. Although I do have an understanding of what Islam intends to do and how they are doing it.
I did not sign this petition because I figure that she knew what her actions would bring upon herself and she did it anyways.
Do I feel sorry for her?, well, yes and no. Yes because nobody deserves to die such a horrific death, no because she chose to stay a muslim in sharia dominated lands.
I may be making assumptions about her that may be false and if thats the case, then I'm sorry.

As for staying in sharia dominated lands, again a bit more reading will show you that women in such lands have no control at all over their own movements. They cannot even leave the house without male supervision/permission, and getting a passport without her husband's permission would have been impossible.

I thought about signing it, and have decided against it. It will do nothing to save her or anyone else in Iran. Who here said that they hate Malak Ghorbany? I think you may be arguing against an point-of-view of your own creation.

But Malak Ghorbany is not a victim of Islam in the sense of an old Jewish woman sitting on a bus in Jerusalem, or a commuter on the London train on 7/7, or a businessman sitting in the WTC on 9/11. I write from Africa, and although I have lived here all my life, I am not an African. Caroline, I agree with everything you say.

All the money, the trillions of dollars in "aid" poured into Africa have done nothing except enrich despot dictators and buy them arms which they use to kill any rivals. NONE of it has been used to "uplift" the people or reduce their poverty.

And in just about every case where you see an initiative to drag the population out of poverty, for some strange reason you'll find a European or someone of European decent, at the helm.

And as the leaders rant and rave about colonial "opression", they don't seem to realise that every piece of ruined infrastructure they posses was made possible by those self-same "opressors" - even the television stations they use to spew forth their anti-west venom.

Well, isn't it an irony that people stoned in Iran are Moslems themselves. Doesn't this tell us that Islam is so weak such that its teachings don't influence its own followers? Then we have the ones who actually try to teach others the teachings of Islam by throwing the stones and inflicting harm to another human being for having NOT learned the teachings of Islam! Blind leading the Blind. In Islam, it's a great sin to inflict harm to yourself or others. I think all these moslems ought to go back to the basics and firstly learn that before anything they are human beings. (Or may be they really aren't and I'm humongously mistaken!!
The whole world is heading toward a massive fascism to take it over and burn anything which doesn't conform to Islam. Let's wait and reap the fruits of the Yankees and the Brits who bowed to this fascism. Just to make a few dime for themselves.
Condemn this act of Barbarism and say a BIG NO to Islam before it takes over the world.
