BAGHDAD, Iraq — A multi-pronged attack on one of the city's most well-heeled quarters Thursday killed at least 31 Iraqi civilians and left behind scores of wounded, most of them moderate, middle-class Shiite Muslims shopping in one of the capital's only vibrant commercial districts.At least five blasts struck the Karradah area of central Baghdad, including a devastating car bomb that set shops ablaze and incinerated passers-by along a crowded strip of butcher shops.
Does anyone happen to know what the Iraqi civilian body count is now? It's beyond me how people can say it's because allied troops are there that the muslims are killing eachother.
It's sort of true, fireangel. After Saddam was overthrown, all law and order ceased to exist. I don't know how exactly Saddam kept things together, but now the entire country is in chaos, and Muslims are free to do what they do best. Of course, they're solely responsible for their own behavior, and you can't directly blame the death toll on the US.
Sadaam kept things in order because he did kill civilians and they knew it. Step out of line and he would kill you, your momma, your grandfather and your neighbors and then let everyone around know it. Islamic rule is based on fear and death. If you are good at it, you can be the ruler.

The Vietcong also fought from villages. We had a hell of a time fighting them directly. The Vietcong adopted Mao's theory that the guerilla is a fish swims in a sea of fish that look just like him. Good point. Do you remember Lt Calley, accused of killing about 300 civilians? Yes he did it, of that there is no disagreement. what the mainstram media neglected to report was that everytime the US soldiers patrolled past this village they were mortared, machinegunned and assaulted. Lt Calley had enough of this, he order the assault and killed everyone. (picture, if you would Muslims shooting from the Mosques or crowed apartment buildings). Needless to say the ambushes ceased. Problem solved except for the "O MY GOD attitude of the news reporters" . And the rest, as they say , is history

Under Muslim rule for the past few centuries agriculture has been virtually discontinued and the land neglected to the point where it is virtually barren today.
Scientific studies show at least three very large underground freshwater rivers running deep under the Middle Eastern deserts. If the Muslims were smart, they would tap into the water , begin massive irrigation projects and begin to substain an ongoing food supply. Somewhere in the future this water will be more valuable than the oil they use to run the world with.

The Muslims have long ago ceased to actually have a life. They have opted to follow the guidelines of the evil text the Qu'ran which only advocated world submission and death. They follow this evil text "religiously". They have no sensible guidelines for "life"
Understandable, but they have to eat. I don't know of any food source alone, such as nuts or dates, (and I don't really know what could grow there) or even a diet of meat that could give proper nutrients to sustain life. I know defiencies in nutrients can cause brain malfunctions....hehehe.

For the first thousand years of Muslim existence, their econimy was based on capture of land and plunder, and the gene pool was refreshed through rape. Modern agriculture and technology (Western, of course) evolved through countless years of hard work and disappointing failure. Every generation benefitted from the record of the past. As an engineer I can attest that I have not made an original discovery except that a slide rule makes a poor coffee stirrer.
The early Muslim society had no need for reaearch and experimentation. Whatever they needed, they stole. When the land was exhausted, their solution was to take another patch of land. Need steel? Steal it. Need water, steal the land that has water. When the irrigation system broke down, steal some more irrigated land.
That, plus the repressive idealogy of Islam, is why Muslims have not invented anything.
I challenge someone to name a major invention attributable to any Muslim between 750 AD and 2006. Vests with explosives pockets do not count. I beleive "Arabian horses" predate Mohammid.
