Iran offers 'new formula' for solution

A new formula! Probably "bow and surrender." From AP:

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran formally responded Tuesday to a package of Western incentives aimed at persuading Tehran to suspend uranium enrichment, with officials saying it has offered a "new formula" to resolve the dispute.

Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, hand-delivered Iran's response to the Western package of nuclear incentives to ambassadors from Britain, China, Russia, France, Germany and Switzerland, state-run television said, without disclosing details.

Officials close to the meeting said Iran's response offered the "new formula" to resolve the dispute over Tehran's nuclear activities. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information.

I know what the new formula is: The west backs off or else they will go from making nuclear fuel to nuclear weapons. That is the implied threat.

"we are not making bombs, but if you do anything to stop us from making bombs, we will start to make bombs."

That's the formula.

Iran shouldn't be in ANY position to offer a new formula. Their facilities should be knocked out.

Addendum to the 'new formula':

"Of course we'll have to kill you, but if you try to stop us, we'll kill you even more....... "

Whatever it is I'm sure the West will bite and swallow, I have no confidence at all that Iran will be stopped, heck maybe we will even help them like we did NK. Condi can sit in and initiate one of her "diplomatic ceasefires" until they lock and load. This is so frustrating one can almost say the West is so stupid they will get what they deserve.

Iran could show some good faith in standing down on current military training "exercises", stop transportating arms and explosives to Iran, Syria and other terrorist groups, apologize to Romania, free imprisoned students and political activists, allow freedom of religion, negotiate fairly on the open market and on and on.

But they will not. They lie and conceal, beware.

From the story: Mohammed Saeedi, deputy head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said in comments published Tuesday that Tehran's response would provide "an exceptional opportunity" for a return to the negotiating table for a compromise.
"Iran's response to the package is a comprehensive reply that can open the way for resumption of talks for a final agreement," Saeedi said.

It is clear that Iran's tactic is to draw the situation out in endless talks and diplomacy, while continuing its nuclear program unchecked. Unfortunately, the West will play the diplomatic game at the peril of future security from Iranian nuclear weapons. Eventually, military action will be necessary to destroy Iran's nuclear program. As Grandma always said, "Soonest done is best done."

Who froze the news????

New formula? Coke had a new formula in 1985 and we know how well that worked.

Again, further evidence of a cultural and intellectual disconnect between our two cultures. We in the west thinking and bracing for the worst while the Iranians are playing to the muslim world - not us. The Iranians don't need to nuke Israel to increase their presitge (it wouldn't hurt, though) - all they need do is look tough (or seem to) to the west in order to impress their muslim neighbors. In short, they're playing to the muslim street - not us.

The problem is how do we make them look small to the rest of the muslim world?

Nuking their nuclear facilities comes to mind.

Course, we would need the 'approval' of the French and the rest of our lefty-liberal anti-American, anti-Israel European 'allies'.

Course Russia and China might decide to fight on Iran's behalf to make sure we don't get our hands on the oil.

So..... I guess we have become 'has beens' who can do nothing except sit here, pick our noses, watch loads of coverage on the child molester and look stupid to the Muslim world....while our oil tycoons roll in the big bucks before the Republicans are moved out of office so we can elect the dimmicrats and join Europe in the One World Order.

The offer by the EU was; "accept our offer or face sanctions". It wasnt "come up with your own offer". Iran is pussy footing around again (surprise, surprise), stalling tactics, etc. and we look like idiots. Time for the UN and Comfy Andsome (Koffi Annan)to put their foot down and say you know what Iran? 1 week and we bomb the hell out of your facilities, impose sanctions and send in an international force to ensure uninterruppted oil flow. The price for non-compliance goes up from there.

The counter proposal is "NO DEAL", THEN hang up the phone.

they bring up time and time again that the United States bombed Germany in WW2, but they have yet to have been threatened by Iran

The Germans have a good point there. The U.S. and the U.K. acted with great malice towards Germany in WWII, while Muslims, under the Grand Mufti, were great allies of Germany. They shared many of the same goals and aspirations, viz a viz global domination, and the solution to Judaism.

Unfortunately, France is vying to be the first European nation to submit to sharia, so Germany will need to pick up the pace.

A couple of years ago I spent a fair bit of time in China ....approx 40 miles inland from Shanghai..
On the drive in we passed a factory ...for 15 mins we drove past rows and rows and rows of nice shiny new TANKS....Thousands of them.

Of course why would the peace loving PRC need so many big boy toys....oh I think Iran knows all about real politick and she is waving the RED RAG and distracting the BULL.

Question is while the USA is distracted with Iraq and possibly Iran ....North Korea is playing bad boy as well....

China sits tight ...allowing the little ones to torment the Giant. She will scupper the security council by vetoes ....It suits her that we are all playing the Islamist game of hide and seek the Urainium. Bet she has already supplied Iran with what she needs ...seeing as China requires roughly 50-60% of the worlds oil over the next few years if she is to continue keep growing.

Iran is far too confident and mouthy and she knows very well she has powerful friends...question is
will they or wont they go for the real deal and see whos bluffing who ??
