From AP:
TEHRAN, Iran - An exhibition of more than 200 cartoons about the Holocaust opened Monday as Iran's response to last year's Muslim outrage over a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad in a Danish newspaper.
The display, showing 204 entries from Iran and abroad, was strongly influenced by the views of Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who drew widespread condemnation last year for calling the Holocaust a "myth" and saying Israel should be destroyed.
One cartoon by Indonesian Tony Thomdean shows the Statue of Liberty holding a book on the Holocaust in its left hand and giving a Nazi-style salute with the other.
Masoud Shojai, director of the host Caricature House, said a jury looked through 1,200 entries received after the contest was announced in February by the co-sponsor, the Iranian newspaper Hamshahri.
It came following worldwide protests by Muslims against the Muhammad cartoon published by the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten. Many Muslims considered the cartoon offensive and a violation of traditions prohibiting images of their prophet.
Hamshahri said it wanted to test the West's tolerance for drawings about the Nazi killing of 6 million Jews in World War II. The entries on display came from nations including United States, Indonesia and Turkey.
Testing the West's tolerance... as opposed to how "cartoon rage" unfolded across the Muslim world. Say, did Goofus and Gallant ever catch on in Iran?
About 50 people attended the exhibition's opening.
"I came to learn more about the roots of the Holocaust and the basis of Israel's emergence," said 23-year-old Zahra Amoli.
You came to the wrong place.
The exhibition runs until Sept. 13 and the winner will receive US$12,000. The exhibition hall is next to the Palestinian Authority's embassy, which was Israel's diplomatic site in Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
anybody got a link to the cartoons?
Very stupid idea, muslims will never fiqure out which propaganda works with us.
anybody got a link to the cartoons?

There is a permanent link to the cartoons at the top left of the jihadwatch.org home page.
I'd like to see them, so I'd know whether to laugh at pure BS or not.
sorry, didnt mean the mohomid ones,i meant the Holocaust Cartoon Exhibit
I'm certain Jews and westerners the world over will be assembling en masse, rioting, burning down mosques, and incinerating Iranian flags.
They mock our boundless tolerance, but some day it will be sorely tested indeed, and I hope for once it is found wanting.
"One cartoon by Indonesian Tony Thomdean shows the Statue of Liberty holding a book on the Holocaust in its left hand and giving a Nazi-style salute with the other."
It's their own shit projected on us. It's all they can relate to, like they really liked the "Obsession" video. These cartoons just prove the point that they're all a bunch of Islamo-Nazis. Is it any wonder they would deny the Holocaust? "Sig-Heil! Sig-Shaytan!"
Still looking, but all I've turned up so far is this handful of pictures from Yahoo:

That small sampling doesn't seem to have that much to do with the Holocaust, just generally anti-Israel. And unimaginative.

I wonder what that jury looked like? Can you believe the nerve of these guys?
Re: "Testing the West's tolerance... as opposed to how 'cartoon rage' unfolded across the Muslim world."
Testing our tolerance?
What a joke.
Most of the west won't even hear about these stupid anti-semitic cartoons.
Those in the west who do read them certainly won't go into a cartoon rage like many Muslims around the world following the Muhammad cartoons and burn embassies from Islamic countries.
So after the Bozo's realize we don't riot, burn, pillage, rape and kill over cartoons...what are they gonna do?
This wasn't to test our reaction and tolerance. It was in their eyes a tit for tat response. They know we don't respond like they do. It was just childish.
They are very impotent and insecure and if they'd ever grow up and get their heads out of the koran, we might not have so many problems with them. Until then, I wish they would stick to their own countries in the M. E. and leave us alone.
Those cartoons of muhammed that came out early this is the west's way of telling the muslims that they are about had it with the nonsense of the jihad violence.
Such a lovely bunch of people aren't they...
Iran Unveils Holocaust Cartoon Exhibit
This is a clever stoking of the historic antisemitism of Europe. I'm sure there will be no protests in Europe. The thug of Iran knows that. He's very clever. He's not testing for a hostile response from Europe.
Yeah, time to riot and burn Iranian flags, scream "Jehovah uber alles" or something similar, while holding up huge, badly designed and printed posters of George Bush, Tony Blair and Ehud Olmert.
After that, we can go torch local Persian restaurants Shalizar and Shiraz--wait--no, not even in jest.
Most people in the West will not even hear about this "exhibit". Some few will lodge polite protests or write an article or two indicating how disgusted they are.
What does Ahmadinijad take us for? I think this is mostly for domestic (Iranian) consumption.
I'd at least like to see Ted Rall's submission.
Hmmm...no outrage, rioting, threats, calling for death to Iran...
You'd think Muslims might learn something from seeing how a civilized society deals with objectionable art; by ignoring it.
Now we have Islamic State sponsored stupidity going hand in hand with Islamic State supported terrorism.
I doubt there will be rioting and the burning of embassies over these cartoons. I see these cartoons as another example of Muslims feeling of inferiority when compared to the Jews. Why else engage in such a childish and ignorant display?
Patriot,
I saw one of the cartoons it depicts Anne Frank in bed with Hitler.
Yuk, didn't get much a of a view of any cartoons via that link, but the sight of those shrouded, hunched over women, obviously trained from infancy to feel ashamed of their bodies, is horrifying.
How can anyone develop creativity in a society devoid of art, music, fashion (or at least variety in clothing) etc?
Empty, empty brains that easily fill with the simple message of hate.
Just today the thug-in-chief again declares the Holocaust is a myth.
Now the Holocaust cartoons seem to be out. Am I missing something here?
Why have a cartoon competition about something that didn't happen?
Oh yeah,,,that's right we are dealing with mosbats who cannot think unless they are thinking up a new way to kill people as in baby formula and mp3 players!
As for the ceasefire - hudna. I believe that is the word for truce before re-grouping.Yes?
It sure has been a tough few weeks!Don't like the outcome much. Nothing good can happen. Hizbollah will win the next democratic elections, just like hamas did in Gaza,,waaaaaaaaaaah!
Strangely enough, I didn't feel the urge to run out and burn down Pizza Hut. I'm not sure why that would be thought to be an appropriate action, but I understand that is the standard Muslim manner of expressing displeasure.
What I felt when I heard that these people had shamed themselves in this way, in a way that would be unthinkable for a civilized man or woman, was not so much anger as contempt for these people with their very, very small dried-up souls that appear to nuture nothing other than malice.
This kind of sickening behaviour is one of the natural consquences of the rabid anti-Semitism that has become an additional pillar of Islam. But what is even more depressing, is that the Far-left/liberal dhimmis who defend and support the Islamists have in many cases also become extremely anti-Semitic. I think we need an international cartoon competition that mocks the stupidity and immorality of the lefist/Islamist alliance now threatening mankind.
Come on People we need more Mohammad cartoons!!
The real question is can these people stomach the civilised response from the west towards their childish and immoral behaviour? I think not - it will be like pouring hot coals over them.
But is it designed to inflame the jewish community or the rest of the civilised world - to elicit a radical response so that they can say - "look they are no better than us - matter of fact they are just like us"
or
Is it a statement to the rest of the world that all that matters to them is what happens in their own little crazy world - devoid of any reality and certainly devoid of any moral standard.
Another question is should the world standby idly to witness what is essentially islams continuous attempts to revamp and reinvent world history?
or
Should the world rise up with a united response going on record (peacefully) to say that these attempts to revise history will not change one iota of the truth about the holocaust. Thereby creating a historic record in itself of debunking those that wish to alter historical truth.
It's funny that the Iranian thugs present these cartoons as a response to the Danish cartoons which would otherwise never have been created or exhibited. And yet we all know that those are lies: Such hate-mongering, violence-inciting cartoons are nothing new in Islam, just as there is nothing new in Muslims spreading the Blood Libel.
jimmy,
It is time for the free world to barrage them with some "really" offensive cartoons. The last set was not very good. Surely some smart cartoonist can come up with some really offensive yet wildly funny cartoons. We are talking about cartoons! Who cares if they throw a tantrum. Provoke them where ever you can. Force them to show what they really are.
I think a cartoon contest would be a great idea. And then we can watch all of these crazy SOB’s just kill each other. Think about it.
And who couldn’t think of a cartoon for this group. We could send them all over the place, paste them on their blogs, and any other places we can think of. Lets see who is still laughing when this ends.

I do wish this was the case. However, they seem to regard civilized behavior as signs of weakness and insufficient passion and resolve instead.
Yeah, amn those jews and christians are really rioting and tearing up the streets and ....oh, wait, their not.
Their standing around, shaking their heads and calling you muslim folks who are doing this fucktards.
I don't get it -- neither Israel nor Jews were involved in the Dutch cartoon publication. So why go after the Jews instead of the Dutch?

DANISH, not Dutch.
The Dutch have their own problems, which they just just "solved" be deporting Ayaan Hirsi.
