Ceasefire Update from AP:
BEIRUT, Lebanon - Hezbollah fighters battled Israeli commandos who landed near the militants' stronghold deep inside Lebanon early Saturday, killing one soldier, in the first large-scale violation of the U.N.-brokered cease-fire between the sides.Hezbollah said its guerrillas foiled the raid after a gunbattle, and the Israeli army said one soldier was killed and two were wounded, one seriously.
Witnesses said Israeli missiles destroyed a bridge during the raid — the first major violation of the U.N.-imposed cease-fire that took effect Monday following 34 days of fighting.
The Israeli army said the special forces operation aimed "to prevent and interfere with terror activity against Israel, especially the smuggling of arms from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah." It said the commando team completed its mission.
The army said such operations would be carried out until "an effective monitoring unit" of Lebanese or multinational troops was in place.
"If the Syrians and Iran continue to arm Hezbollah in violation of the (U.N. cease-fire) resolution, Israel is entitled to act to defend the principle of the arms embargo," Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Mark Regev said.
Israel needs to be more proative with these monsters. the UN we all know to be totally useless.

Oooops. I stand corrected. Embargo is not the same as disarm. Silly me.
Another bridge? The infastructure tally grows which our govn'ts will split the bill for. Why another bridge... why now? Hezbollah will probably get a raise from Iran and Syria after fending off Isreal at the expense of the innocent Lebonese who became refugees... and will also require foreign aid.
Please note the language with which AP delivers this story. The writer is trying to paint Gestapollah as battling and foiling the mischievous Israelis at every turn. Then it is Israel insensitively violating the cease fire (more like UN-mandated surrender) by destroying a bridge, under which mothers and children were doubtless studying the Quran and preparing warm pita bread from flour and water supplied by the philanthropic Hezbots. Not to mention the hummus flown in from Paristan, not Pakistan where the hummus isn't nearly as fresh or as chic. It will soon be reported that this bridge is the third or fourth holiest site in Islam and that it's been around since the Night Journey. And it goes on and on and on....
Would be nice if it was the bridge under which all the mohammedan trolls who visit this site resided.
And this bridge was probably destroyed, oh let's say 3 or 4 times before the ceasfire, and will probably be destroyed at least 2 or 3 more times by the cease-fire-breaking Is-rah-aylies. Cue photos of same bridge and same black-clothed woman crying in front of it, upon her return to her homeless shelter under the bridge which she was forced to move into after her several Beirut homes were bombed by the callous Is-rah-aylies. Look at the poor wailing woman: she used to be a multi-million dollar slum I mean landlord and now she's reduced to living under bridges.
And there are 8 million more naked lies in Hezbostan just like this one.

I'm sure that most of you folk are on cable (most "conservatives" are).. if so you really should lose it and get Dish Network, cheaper, more channels and the ability to see news from the mid east on Mosaic (www.linktv.org).. I saw last week, an offering from NBN (Lebanon TV), footage of Hizballah collecting "war booty" (that's what they call it, driving around in pick up trucks picking up bit and pieces of military gear, ammo, rockets and what they claim were parts of Israeli soldiers, including a portion of the skull with scalp ...gross.. this is what they delight in showing on Islamic TV.. the most gross scenes, which of course inflames the Muslim mind even more.. while the west and Israel (stupidly sanitizes their news..as a result Israel and the west are losing the all important propaganda war.
I see stuff on Mosaic (blood and guts) that you will never ever see on Fox, MSNBC or CNN..never..ever. Not even the Israel Broadcasting Authority (which is also shown on Mosaic) will show the footage the Muslims show.. and it is because they take the high road that they are losing the all important war for world opinion..especially in the west (where it matters).
