Sharia Alert from AFP: "Mullahs tell aid groups to fire women"
ISLAMABAD: Muslim clerics in earthquake-hit Azad Kashmir have told aid agencies to fire all local women employees or face violent protests, officials and religious leaders said on Thursday.
The threat, given to district officials and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Bagh on Tuesday, will dent hopes that the October 8 quake could have a positive effect on women’s rights in the conservative region. "We have told the administration that we will not allow NGOs to exploit our women and asked them to give a date suitable to them for removal of all female workers," Syed Atta Ullah Shah, prayer leader of the Bagh central mosque, told Agence France Presse.
And if "we" don't get our way:
"If our demand is not met then we will take direct action and extreme steps. There will be demonstrations and damage may be caused to public property and a law and order situation would be created in the area," he added.
The religious leader said locals were angered by "obscene" activities at NGOs. "They hire beautiful girls and take them to Islamabad for enjoyment. They keep women in offices as decoration pieces because we know that women have no work and there is no such work that men cannot do," Shah said. Aid groups say female workers are vital to ensure that religious and social conventions are respected when dealing with women in the devastated region, especially for health matters.
The United Nations, which has coordinated aid efforts after the quake, said it was aware of the issue. "Discussions are going on with the government and clergy. Things are not finalised yet," Raabya Amjad, public information officer for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, told AFP.

He, like other muslim males, don't want their women around other males, so the women that go looking for help from the agencies, wouldn't be able to get help, because there are no women there to help them get help.

The assumption that stability should always be a goal is coming under fire. Stable tyrannies are not required by any political world view in the free world anymore, and were never desirable anyway. We need to start knocking off regimes or helping tip the scales if the elements are nearly in place. Replacing false friends like Musharraf and the house of Saud will clarify things for the world. Let's actually help put ruling councils and theocracies in place... give them the rope they keep asking for people! Give the people what they want. It would be like smelling salts for the somnambulant distributed throughtout the free world.
Of course they don't want the women to work - they are ten times more motivated than the men - and if the women did all the work in Islamic societies they would succeed, and then Islamic Radicals would have nothing to be offended about ...

So let's see ... it's obscene for women to work in the aid agencies, but it's also obscene for women to expose their skin to men. Are women who are sick or injured forbidden, then, to be seen by female workers but also forbidden to be seen by male workers? I see now: women must die. Okay, that makes sense ... to these savages.

When Khomeini's mobs marched against the Shah, he was humane and refused to order his army to fire, not wanting to crush the uprising by slaughter. Taking power, Khomeini had no such reservations and murdered thousands. Likewise with the Reds. The Tsar, being a holy man, refused to fire on the rioting crowds. First of all, Musharraf is not the baddie in this situation. If he was removed then the mullahs would take control of Pakistan and the Sharia rule would ensue.
The mullahs are illegitimately trying to impose Sharia with this form of threat, upon the Pakistani population.
Like all charges that we hear from Islamics this is no doubt one that is totally unfounded - that is the NGOs hire beautiful women and take them to Islamabad for sex. The other charge happens to be that they have no legitimate work.
So men can type and take dictation? I doubt that an Islamic man would have such a skill. I thought that their skills stopped at bomb making. An Islamic male doctor is allowed to view the private parts of women? I do not believe that is the case, and it is certainly not something that women encourage - we in the west have enough problems with our own male doctors!
Would men be able to attend to the needs of a woman with ovarian, breast, or cancer of the uterus? What about for women who need certain items when they are menstruating? The women victims need to be able to relate to other women for such needs. The men cannot take over these roles, especially in a community where the women are very sensitive.
Let us keep perspective with regards who is to blame. The Mullahs are looking for an excuse to cause riots and violence. They want to find a way to seize the government. Without the co-operation of Musharaff, we would have had another disaster (probably slated for August 22 considering the speech that was made that day) and it was thanks to the co-operation of the present Pakistani government that the plotters were taken into custody. Also, Mushareff has cooperated with the USA and the UK and has been closing down the Madrasaahs in the border region.
If the militant Islamofacists cause a riot in this region then it is because they are looking to create an incident that is designed to bring down Musharref who is a moderate, and who has been keeping Sharia out of Pakistan.
If there are riots then the aid agencies should just pack up and leave the region (Pakistan as a whole) because the Islamofacists do not want the aid, they just want to use bleeding hearts.

Musharraf was not elected when he took over the government. He seized power in a military coup.
I agree that these leaders are two faced, and especially the two-faced idiots in Indonesia. One never knows what way they will be swayed.
Most of these leaders are totally corrupt, but that is because the countries themselves are full of weak people who are being spoon fed by the mullahs and the imams.

There are Muslim economies that are not collapsing, but that is probably due to the way in which the country has been able to manufacture and export technology.
It is not acceptable to make such sweeping statements about Muslims in general, because there are many who have become trapped in this so called RoP. Their families were forced to become Muslims, and they cannot leave the religion because of the fear of persecution. I have worked with one Indian Muslim who fits this description. He certainly does not fit the definition of the Islamofacist and there are many who are like him. Why, should he and these others have to be forced into accepting Sharia?
All over the world, wherever Sharia has been introduced, it is the women who have suffered the most from that introduction. This is what happened in Afghanistan after the attempted communist takeover. The government prior to this time was moderate and Afghanistan had become quite modernized. The women were allowed to work, and many had become doctors, teachers etc. Then the Taliban seized control, and all of the women who held those positions were forced to leave the work force. Women face being bashed in the street if there is even a very small bit of flesh showing. They face being imprisoned and tortured by these trogladite men. For the time being at least Pakistan is not enduring the same treatment for their women, but if the mullahs got their way then the women will once again be the real victims of such a coup.
If Musharraf had any testicles, then he would have used the military to round up these radical clerics and either kill them or send them across the border into Afghanistan, never to return to Pakistan again. However, he does not have the testicles because of the backlash that would happen from such a move.
I think that we should be pleased that we have this man's cooperation in attempting to stamp out terrorism. He has been doing the right thing and his government helped to prevent what could have been a massive tragedy. Don't lump Musharraf with the riff raff mullahs.

I wouldn't bet on Musharraf if I were you. Jihad is as much a part of his agenda as anyone elses, but he is smart enough to know that confronting the US directly and risking obliteration was no way to go about it, particularly when Washington is so taqiyya susceptible.
Here is Musharraf's speech delivered to his own people in the wake of 9/11. Notice the references to the treaty of al Hudaibiyya, and convince yourself that he's genuine in his commitment against the Jihad. I for one am not convinced.

ME Muslim women are FAR better to deal with than the men, if you can find any that have been "allowed" by their father to develop any skills.
The women are conditioned to PAY ATTENTION and FOLLOW DIRECTION.
The men are implacably arrogant, no matter how illiterate and unskilled they are. A water melon farmer living in a mudhut thinks he knows more about EVERYTHING than any infidel. And if you hire him to do something, he'll say yes all day long as you tell him what is needed and what you expect, and then he'll immediately go and do whatever the hell he likes the moment your back is turned.
No so with the women. Although they are lacking in skills and education (enforced by religion and custom, of course), they at least ATTEMPT to do what is asked, and feel some desire to LEARN.
I'm informed of this by almost 3 years of construction management in Iraq. A lot more would get done if the women were running the show.

As a Christian, I am sick and tired of always being hit up after every calamity in the Muslim word to give, money because it is "Christlike" and part of our "Christian Witness". The next time there is some disaster like an earthquake I only have my middle finger to extend to any creaps from any so-called Christian charity collecting money for Muslims.(Its almost always some Muslims!) Many Western charities play real lose with the facts about Islam when seeking money from Westerners and would never dream of telling the truth about Islam.More than likely they'll quietly abide by this, as most are a bunch of sanctimonious frauds. Most Western Churches and aid agencies are squarely in service to Islam and are far more likely to condemn us all as Islamophobes, instead of taking the Muslims on. Wouldn't want to offend them and get kicked out or worse, because then the racket is over. Charities, churches and Ngos attract some of the worst dhimmis and charlatans on the face of the earth.
