Russian Muftis' Council declares support for Hizballah, says it "replies positively" to Khamenei's call to jihad against Israel, US

One can reasonably expect silence from the Russian government, which is also actively working to keep Iran's friendship, at the expense of Russian national security. From the Islamic Republic News Agency:

IslamRev Internet website announced on Friday that the Russian Mufties Council have responded positively to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei's call for unity among world Muslims to confront Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
The Internet site has quoted the Deputy Head of the Russian Mufties Council, Murat Murtazain, as saying, "The Russian Muslims declare their solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian nations that are engaged in an uneven war with Israel over their absolute rights, and in order to liberate their occupied lands."
Murtazain is furthermore quoted as saying, "We firmly believe that justice must prevail in the world, in accordance with all monotheist faiths' teachings, as well as the international laws, and that all countries in the world must respect these rules." The Deputy Head of the Russian Mufties Council, focusing on Middle East crisis, reiterated, "The Russian Muslims believe the disputes between the Lebanese Hezbollah Movement and Israel must be settled through negotiations within the barriers of the international laws." Focusing on Ayatollah Khamenei's recent message in which his eminence had invited the world Muslims to a campaign against the United States, Israel, and that fake regime's supporters, he said, "We reply positively to the stand adopted by the Iranian leader, and declare that we, too, have always favored the prevailing of justice in the world."
Referring to Israel's war crimes in occupied Palestine and Lebanon, he said, "Keeping in mind that innocent Muslims are being massacred there, we cannot remain indifferent about the matter, and we therefore, hereby declare our full support for the Lebanese Hezbollah."

Note the specificity: Not innocent "people." If the casualties were all nonbelievers, that would be someone else's problem.

"We firmly believe that justice [Islamic domination] must prevail in the world, in accordance with all monotheist faiths' [Sunnis, Shiites, Wahhabis, Suffis] teachings, as well as the international laws [dhimmi pronouncements at the UN and the EU], and that all countries n the world [the USA and Israel] must respect these rules."

"We firmly believe that justice must prevail in the world, in accordance with all monotheist faiths' teachings, as well as the international laws, and that all countries in the world must respect these rules."

Of course laws and justice don't apply when they are directed toward islamic jihadists! This is typical islamic tripe - paint the group you want to kill as the criminal and position yourself as the victim. Murat Murtazain and his group are just more enemies of the free and Democratic world that need to be eliminated. †

BREAKING NEWS:

"We firmly believe that justice must prevail in the world"

In fogspeak, "Justice" translates as "Islam"

Pragmatist: When all the islamofascists of the world are getting together, what is the rest of the world doing?

Idealist(?#$%): Ahem... We may be overly concerned for a small thing. They are excercising their right to congregate. No problem

Professing the moral relativity of the three great faiths? /

Reminds me of this story . ..

DEEP IN AN AFRICAN JUNGLE, a guy is fishing the river when he hears a rumbling sound behind him. He turns around and finds himself face to face with an 800-pound lion. Immediately, the fisherman lets go of his pole and drops to his knees in desperate prayer.

After a few moments, he happens to catch sight of the lion right beside him, on his knees with paws raised in supplication.

Surprised, the fisherman says, "Now see here. I am on my knees praying to my Lord for deliverance. You're only an animal. What could you possibly be doing?"

"Whaddaya think, Bud?" says the lion. "I'm saying grace."

I certainly would never trust the Russians, even now. Their dishonesty and lack of backbone in facing up to their behavior and history beginning from WWII onward is proof enough for me. I just don't think they have the moral fiber, or whatever you might call it, in their national character.

I think I understand how, why and when our relationship with Russia went South.

When the Soviet Union collapsed and communism was self disgraced, our brave leaders (secular and sectarian) especially the conservatives, kept treating and reacting to Russia as if it was communist and "satanic" and it hasn't helped at all that Dubya has constantly given Putin a ration of feces for his actions in Chechnya.

In fact I found it ironic and hypocritical that Bush would chastise Putin for doing what Bush should do..in fact neither leader are really effective in the defensive war against Islam. Google Analyst says that Russia will be majority muslim in 30 years, Europe is one generation away from Eurabia and Bush and the Corporate religious right lack the cajones and backbone to declare reality.. that Islam is a fifth column that is undermining and subverting America..even more dangerous than communism.

These are the same Muftis who give cover to the Chechen terrorists who have murdered thousands of Russians. If the Russian government wasn't paralyzed by its newfound "Democracy" it would execute every single one of them or at least relocate them to the most inhospitable part of Siberia.

I pray that Russia quickly abandons its self-destructive flirtation with Westernization and returns to its ancient Orthodox and Slavophile roots. Only then will she be able to successfully resist the Muslim onslaught.

Why does Russia want to be friends with Iran, who support the Chechen Muslim terrorists Russia is at war with?

aynrandgirl,

Actually Iran does not support the Chechens, except with words. The Chechens are funded and supported by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, and Pakistan... all supposed friends and allies of the West. It is the West's coziness with these sources of anti-Russian terror that is driving Moscow into a relationship with Tehran. Russia has virtually no Shi'ites but has lost thousands to its internal Sunni/Wahabhi terrorists.

Iran, despite being a Shi'a dictatorship actually arms and supports the Christian Armenians against fellow Shi'ite Azerbaijan. That's because Iran fears an Azerbaijani victory over Armenia would empower Azeri secessionists in its own northwest. This is one of those rare cases where Realpolitik has triumphed over Islamic ideology.
