UN sets another deadline for Iran: August 31

We only got till the 22nd,iran will give us their answer.

They got a 9 day grace period.

And when the Deadline approaches, Then what??
Will we see another deadline?
Will we see a resolution?
Will we see action?
Will we see UN action?
Will we see Iranina action?
Just what will be seen??

One thing about Ahmadinejad's big threatening mouth, is that while the United Nothing fools don't get it, there are people who are listening very carefully to his obsessing over Aug. 22 and the irradication of Israel.

I can hardly wait to hear what those sanctions will be:

* "Shame, shame, everybody knows your name!"

* "We'll tell your friends not to talk to you."

* "You can't come to our next party unless you say pretty please."

Can you provide any links that mention Iran's "Light Over Jerusalem" being planned for Aug 22? I've heard that date bandied about before, but can't recall why that date is significant.

Why August 22?
Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has rejected Western demands that he respond to a new proposal regarding the cessation of Iran’s nuclear efforts by the middle of this month.

To the consternation of officials in Europe and Washington, Ahmadinejad promised only to respond by the end of the Iranian month of Mordad (August 22).

Why that date? Why so long to look over a simple package of incentives and give either a negative or a positive reply? Finding the answers to these troubling questions may require America and Europe to come to terms with a reality Western liberalism has done its best to ignore - that Islam remains engaged in a clash of civilizations with the Judeo-Christian world.

You see, Ahmadinejad is a strong believer in the Shi’ite tradition of a 12th imam, the so-called “hidden” Imam Mahdi who Allah has miraculously kept alive since his disappearance in 874 AD. As the story goes, Imam Mahdi will return at a time of great global chaos, oppression and bloodshed and usher in an era of (Islamic) justice.

Ahmadinejad sees himself as Allah’s instrument to pave the way for Imam Mahdi, and constantly uses public appearances to urge his countrymen to prepare to back him in this task.

Rumor is, Imam Mahdi could be returning this August (or shortly thereafter), just around the time some military experts believe Iran will be ready to construct its first nuclear weapon. Go figure.

Ahmadinejad has made clear his confidence that he and other true believers can affect this apocalyptic timetable, and will use all means at his disposal to do so.

Also of note is that August 22 of this year corresponds with the Islamic date of Rajab 28, the day Saladin conquered and entered Jerusalem.

Taken in conjunction with Ahmadinejad’s stated desire to see Israel destroyed, it hardly seems a coincidence.

Will the coming months see Ahmadinejad attempt to bring about Imam Mahdi’s return by attacking Israel and generating the necessary regional and global chaos?

Perhaps the better question is, will the West start to take this man at his word in time to stop him?

And when we get to, or close to the 31st August deadline, what will the next deadline be? The Twelth of Never, perhaps? How many more lines must be drawn in the sand and crossed before we finally say "Enough is enough"?

This game will go on until the world see's a mushroom cloud over Israel and then the pundits will wring their hands and say "how could this happen !" just like they did with the Holocoust. BOOMER subs carry at least 20 missiles, each containing about 24 separate warheads of the most potent power. That equal 480 targets one sub can lethally hit with accuracy. AND there are at two subs in the area at all times. No need for air power, no need for ground troops, no need for deadlines, no need for negotiations. Consider the following article titled UN Ceremony Includes Map of Palestine In Place of Israel published December 9, 2005. Here is how it begins:
The United Nations held a "Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" last week. A large map of Palestine, with Israel literally wiped off the map, featured prominently in the festivities. The ceremony was held at the UN headquarters in New York and was attended by Secretary General Kofi Annan and the Presidents of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly. [1]

Now, you should have picked up the significance as you read this statement. A meeting that was held at the United Nations, attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations to honor the Palestinian people, displayed a map of the Middle East - without Israel on the map.
But that is not all. There is more to indicate that UN officials knew exactly what they were doing. Quoting again from the article:

With the map hanging behind him, Secretary-General Annan addressed the public meeting at UN Headquarters. At the start of the ceremony, the dignitaries present asked attendees to observe a moment of silence. It sounds like the U.N. is aiding and abetting a terrorist hosting country. They are not representing the safety concerns of the free world. They are currently represent the world powers that would negate Israel. This means they are not friends of the western world.

Sorry to ask in such simple terms, but the illustration has to be made. People just don't understant that the U.N. are not our friends. They have been subverted by enemies of the free world.

What will happen when the "peacekeeping" troops who coddle to these enemies set up shop in Lebanon? The U.N. recently made a bid to undermine the 2nd amendment in the U.S. They also tried to impose an international tax on us as well.

U.N. , cash-starved setting up shop in the buffer zones in conflicted areas: do you have any idea what kinds of businesses flourish in these particular areas (Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq in the future, etc.)?

They do not have a track record that warrants any trust at this point.

Problem is - all these deadlines are endless lifelines for Iran - and potential deathlines for Israel

Reminds me of the Henny Youngman joke about the old lady who was given by her doctor only 6 months to live. She didn't pay her bill so he gave her another 6 months.

Speaking of Henny Youngman jokes, this whole war with islam in the dhimmi west reminds me of his classic:

Another date to keep your eye on is August 3, 2006 -- as it is the 9th of AB (AV) in the Hebrew Calendar.

In the past this has been a day of doom for Israel, and it's quite possible that Hezbollah/Iran/Syria are planning to mark this historic day with another BIG event. Lets hope not!
