Ahmadinejad denounces US, Britain at UN General Assembly

And the American media gives him a free pass about his genocidal statements regarding Israel, and the statements by other Iranian leaders threatening to construct nuclear weapons. From DPA:

New York - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denounced the United States and Britain late Tuesday as 'hegemonic powers' undermining the UN Security Council's credibility and effectiveness.

The much-anticipated address by the Iranian leader to the United Nations General Assembly offered no solutions to the dispute over his country's nuclear activities. Instead, Ahmadinejad blasted United States for waging the war in Iraq and Israel for occupying Palestinian territories.

He said that no organization in the UN can resist the will of the US and Britain, two of the five Security Council permanent members, along with Russia, France and China.

'Regrettably, the persistence of some hegemonic powers in imposing their exclusionist policies on international decision-making mechanisms, including the Security Council, has resulted in a growing mistrust in global public opinion, undermining the credibility and effectiveness of this most universal system of collective security,' he said.

As long as the Security Council is unable to act on behalf of the international community, it 'will never be legitimate nor effective,' Ahmadinejad said.

His country's nuclear activities are 'transparent, peaceful and under the watchful eyes of IAEA inspectors.' He charged that the governments objecting to Iran's nuclear programme are themselves benefiting from nuclear energy.

'Some of them have abused nuclear technology for non-peaceful ends including the production of nuclear bombs, and some even have a bleak record of using them against humanity,' he said.

I don't know how other countries diplomats could sit still long enough to listen to this wingnut. He claims on one hand to NOT want war. We already know he doesn't think Israel has a right to exist. OR us for that matter. He's a liar. And he speaks for a nation. He hates us. Yet, he comes to our wonderful country to slam us. He could have teleconferenced from his cesspool. He's still here. Why was he not escorted out of our country the moment he left the podium?

He claims we are holding the world hostage with nuclear weapons. He claims his nuclear research is completely open and see through. I wonder if the other diplomats burst out laughing at that one. He's such a liar. HE is totally transparent.

I heard nothing yesterday on the news about the protests in NYC against this maniacal whack-job.

When I see this nasty muslim on television, I feel the need to wash my hands. If only the world could wash it's hands of the mad mullahs and this idiot.

I listened to his speech last night that was given to a UN audience that was about 1/3 full and felt that a fourteen year old could have written a more effective speech, after a while you couldn't help getting tired of hearing him continuously use the words ethics, and justice over and over in almost every other sentence as if he was a stuck record.

whose justice? whose ethics?

Iran has been actively at war with the West since 1979. Since they don't have the resources or organizational capacity to wage war openly, they've been doing it through proxy states and terrorist groups. Their nuclear program is a blatent strategic move to counter Western sensibilities and interests.

Karl von Clausewitz wrote; “War is nothing more than the continuation of politics by other means.”

Is the world so twisted up in political correctness that the reality on the ground has become; Politics is nothing more than the continuation of war by other means?

Lets hope it doesn't take the flattening of a couple of population centers to knock off the blinders.

What did 'Beasty Boy' do before becomming prez? Shoe repair? Camel washing? Full time terrorist? He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Seems to be stuck on stupid. It's a good thing he has all those superbrain Ayatollahs to tell him what to do. Just shows you what praying to Allah five times a day does for yer average muslim...

The time to stop listening to Iran ended on August 30th by my reckoning.

Ahmadinejad is but a mouthpiece for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei:

Supreme Leader

Ayatollah Khamenei succeeded Imam Khomeini after he died. He was elected as the new Supreme Leader by 95% of votes of the Assembly of Experts on June 4, 1989. He once said that; “In the areas of political and revolutionary ideas and Islamic jurisprudence, I am certainly a disciple of Imam Khomeini”.

He has frequently condemned the idea of talks with the United States and sharply criticized Washington’s foreign policy during the U.S. war on Iraq.

He said on hostage-taking in Iraq; "We seriously suspect the agents of the Americans and Israelis in conducting such horrendous terrorist acts and cannot believe the people who kidnap Philippines nationals, for instance, or behead U.S. nationals are Muslims."

The U.S. and Israel are accusing Khamenei of covertly supporting a nuclear weapons project in Iran.

Ayatollah Khomenei always said that the Islamic republic has never sought to develop or acquire nuclear weapons in line with the tenets of Islam.

He believes that peaceful nuclear technology is Iran’s absolute right and he is also convinced that nuclear weapons are not essential to defeat enemies.

He once said that “relying on faith, determination, vigilance, and unity, as Iran has done during the past 25 years, the Iranian nation will defeat its enemies”.

Ah-mad-in-jihad is rolling in oil, coal, gas etc. are they not?

man as if he needs nuclear capabilites for providing electricity.....lol

Ah-mad-in-jihad is cleary a man of clever decietfulness.

and the lies continue. Listening to muslim rhetoric is nausiating. They sprinkle a little truth with mostly lies.

If you keep up with good information such as learned from various sources including this excellant website, you are able to see the Muslims true intentions. and you can easily spot their lies.

thanks to all who contribute.

1)Let's get the U.N. out of U.S. territory. Why should we have an idiot like this anywhere in this country making such speeches?

2)This madman points to the American use of nuclear weapons in 1945. Funny-if he could get away with it he admittedly would launch more than 2 nuclear missiles at Israel in his efforts to complete the work of his masters (Khomeini and Hitler).

3)Why have a U.N. at all when a lunatic like this is allowed to speak at such an organization? Given his idiotic rantings in the past it would be as if Hitler addressed the League of Nations in 1939 on the virtues of peace.

Incredible!

His country's nuclear activities are 'transparent, peaceful and under the watchful eyes of IAEA inspectors.'

I don't mean to suggest that there was anything deceitful in his speech, but didn't Iran throw out the IAEA inspectors, just before they broke the seals on the centrifuges and openly resumed uranium enrichment processing?

Maybe he thought that the remote-controlled reconnaisance drones he's seen flying around Iranian nuclear facilities are owned and operated by the IAEA; just as well that he thinks so.

Here is the transcript of Brian William's interview with Ahmadinejad Williams really soft balled him, and let him off the hook with nutjob's obfuscating response to Brians question about the holocaust.

FYI, Brian, as are most of the MSNBC talking head crowd, a died in the wool conservative, and they along with all cable news (including CNN) fully supported and backed George W. Bush's in his two elections, criticized the hell out of the Dem's, Gore and Kerry, and fully supported the invasion of Iran (as did the New York Times, less some forget).

1)Let's get the U.N. out of U.S. territory. Why should we have an idiot like this anywhere in this country making such speeches?

I concur, I move that it be moved to Guano Island.
The U.N. at it's inception was mostly under the control of the U.S. (it backed Trumans' decision to intercede in Korea on the side of the South). And since the U.S. has been the major source of financial support, the old saying of who signs the paycheck determines the opinions of those who receive the paycheck held.. but not anymore.. the U.N. is nothing but a front for Muslims nations (which vote as a block and which outnumber all others), same with the Non Aligned Movement (NAM).

But first Bush and the corporate elite are going to have to put their money and deeds where their mouth is.. and start up a Manhattan project to free us from oil dependency.. pipe dream..Haliburton, Bechtel, Exxon Mobile, Dutch Royal Shell, UNOCAL, BP et al not to mention the auto industry aren't in favor of such a project, it means loss of power, money, bankruptcy, will hurt the stock market and investment portfolio's not to mention retirement funds.. got to maintain the illusion of healthy investment portfolio's at least until AFTER they privatize social security.. then the whole thing can and will go belly up.

Bad Bad Bad

News just coming,Muslim General Sonthi Boonyarataglin will the new president of Thialand.

AND I denounce the Mighty Imbecile Hugo Chavez right here on Jihad Watch!

The man is an idiot. Blood will tell!!!

OOOOps meant to write

Muslim General Sonthi Boonyarataglin will be the new president of Thialand.

they should hog tie that little man from iran, and send him to campt Gitmo now!

I don't know who is crazier... ...Ahmadinejad, who claimed to have been embraced by grace the last time he spoke at the UN, or the member nations who are still cutting him slack over his nukes. As for Iran's peaceful nature, a Kuwaiti daily published an Op-Ed recently accusing Iran of having opened wars on three fronts: inside Iraq (via Sadr and other means), Lebanon/Israel (via Hezbollah) and Kuwait (firing over the Kuwaiti/Iraqi border) and Ahmadinejad of the same kind of suicidal arrogance as the Shah, Hitler and the Emperor of Japan (WW II, not current).
