(CNN) -- For the first time, a video has been released showing al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden meeting with suspected terrorist Ramzi Binalshibh, purportedly as they prepare for the September 11, 2001 attacks, according to Al-Jazeera, which aired the tape Thursday.

In one of the segments of the tape, bin Laden tells his compatriots that the news from "the brothers who went out for martyrdom operations ... is delightful."
"And I strongly advise you to increase your prayers for them and beseech Allah the Exalted in your prayer to grant them success, make firm their foothold and strengthen their hearts," the al Qaeda leaders says.
The video aired four days before the fifth anniversary of the attacks that killed almost 3,000 people in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.
CNN was unable to independently verify whether the video, made by al Qaeda's production company, Al Sahab, was made in 2001. But two of the men seen on it -- Hamza Alghamdi and Wail Alshehri -- were hijackers who died in the suicide missions.
Alghamdi was aboard United Airlines Flight 175, which hit the South Tower of the World Trade Center; Alshehri was aboard American Airlines Flight 11, which crashed into the North Tower.
Al Qaeda military commander Mohammed Atef, also known as Abu Hafs al-Masri, also is on the tape. He was killed in Afghanistan in 2001 in a U.S. missile strike.
Many of the faces in the video are pixelated to hide the men's identities.
The men are seen in training or in scenes from their daily lives.
"If struggle and jihad is not mandatory now, then when is it mandatory? The destination from which Prophet Mohammed was sent to Heaven is being transgressed every night and day," says one militant, Wael al Shehry, according to Al-Jazeera.

The liars, the 9/11 Deniers, the Historical Revisionists can't keep a consistent story. Some say OBL is an US agent. Others claim he is an innocent man pinned with a crime he did not commit. Some say he releases these various tapes, along with these other Al Qaeda member tapes... others say all of the tapes are CIA and Jewish creations.
This only further pins them down.
What is amusing is that the Muslims must really not be mad at us at all... if 9/11 was just a Jewish job. We should go ahead and start taking Saudi Arabia. After all, what are they going to do about it?

Seriously, though... I am wondering... how do these guys explain the Al Qaeda video tapes and other admissions? The only way they can is by first claiming all of the video tapes are forged... then claiming all of the Al Qaeda releases are forged, as well. Every Al Qaeda tape or audio statement released must be forged, according to their viewpoint.
Because none of them condemn nor deny these videos. And other statements have been made intimating they were behind 9/11, outside of the two major video pieces of evidence.
So, the Left and Islamists are claiming today, what, Al Qaeda is entirely an invention of the Jews and CIA?

We know that Bin Laden only releases videos when they suit his propaganda needs. We are approaching the 5th anniversary of 911, with still no major attack since on US soil. Osama could release any video he wanted, so why this one?
It seems to be screaming out the message, "I planned this whole thing. See these two hijackers, standing in front of an artist's rendering of buildings on fire, with a model of a passenger jet in front of it, while they are reading their wills? See them practicing the hand-to-hand fighting skills they used to take over the passenger cabin? See the marters talking and looking to me for leadership? This proves that I was behind 911."
From public polling we know that the majority of Muslims do not believe that Muslims were capable of doing something as horrible as 911 -- that someone other than Muslims were responsible. Not too surprisingly, polls have also shown that Muslims are more inclined to adopt 911 conspiracies than the general population. Polls have further shown a steady decline in Osama's popularity amongst Muslims.
Now we know that Osama closely monitors the news and polls quite closely. By now he must realize that more and more Muslims believe that the CIA and Bush were behind 911. How infuriating that must be. The very people from which he needs to draw new jihadi recruits are crediting his enemy with the attack that he so carefully planned and executed.
What if 911 conspiracy idiots are actually working against Osama's interests? Wouldn't that be a hoot?!!! What if Osama is trying to say to Muslims, "Hey stupid, I was the one who did this." He seems to be desperately trying to erase every doubt with this video. Wouldn't that be the ultimate irony -- that Osama is also finding it necessary to fight the conspiracy nuts?

Here is something, however. I think a lot of the Muslims who are denying 9/11 also know, deep down, that OBL and crew did it.
Right off, after 9/11, I was online at forums I used to frequent... against Islamists. These areas were flooded. Flooded with celebrating Islamists.
We all saw the news. All across the world they celebrated.
What I saw... was this evolution of where many of these celebrating Muslims started to say "the Jews did it". This was nothing new for these guys. They would say "there was no Holocaust" and "the Jews deserved the Holocaust". They don't call Jews "Zionazis" and such because they think there wasn't a Holocaust... they call them these things because they know they can pretend they don't know how rotten that is to say to them.
I think, therefore, these people are all liars. I think they are not stupid. I think they are very comfortable working with extremely contradictory stories. Because they know it is bad to do.
These are bad people. They like to lie. They love it. They love to be hypocrites. They relish the fact that they have contradictory beliefs.
Just my impression... from watching some hard core Islamists go from "We did it, you deserved it" to "you better listen to the Muslim now, though the Jew did it" to "the Jew did it" "but we are going to get you again"...
If all these tapes are part of some vast American/Western/Zionist/Infidel plot, why does al-that-Jazzeera keep showing them? Doesn't that make atJazz part of the plot themselves? If so, why do the mo's watch it? Doesn't that make them complicit in the AmerWesZioInf conspiracy?

You may be right about that, but I'm not sure your causality is correct -- that they love to lie and be contradictory. It is an inherent part of their religion and culture. The Koran teaches them to deceive and be dishonest if it helps to defeat an enemy. From day one their parents teach them it is moral and right to hate and kill Jews, and sometimes anyone who is non-Muslim. The English language does not have a word strong enough to describe the vile and hatred they feed their children. If you raise a kid like that in America, he often ends up in prison. Certainly not all Muslims are raised that way, but a dangerous percentage are.
Going back to my point, I still don't have a better explanation for why Osama so desperately wants people to see him preparing for the attacks. The video is like a "greatest hits" compilation of 911 terrorist preparation. Unlike most of his tapes, this doesn't contain any threats of planned new strikes to plant terror in people's hearts. It doesn't show proof he's still alive and, therefore, still a menacing threat. In fact, by releasing this video just before the 5th anniversary of 911, he risks appearing impotent by recycling old news -- not being able to stage a major new attack.
By following our news, he must realize that most Americans already believe he was responsible for 911. I don't think his message is intended for America this time. I think it is targeting Muslims.
Perhaps he is trying to energize them with a reminder of his spectacular past "success." Maybe the war on terror is starting to thin his ranks and he needs more recruits. Many of his close associates shown on the video have been killed or captured. Maybe he is jealous that most of the new terrorist activity is happening in Iraq and not directed by him. Maybe he is afraid to create a new tape for fear it might provide some clue as to his whereabouts. Maybe he is buttoned down so tight in the hills of Pakistan that he isn't able to issue a new tape, so jihad-TV is just helping him stay in the news.
But wait, "Chechnya, Kashmir, Phillipines????"

Hum, the only reason the tape is being shown is to sow doubt that Bin Laden is alive. I believe they want us to think he's dead and should give up in looking for him or his remains. I sincerely doubt, the U.S. and NATO is giving up in looking for him.....it's only a matter of time.
