In the UK i am watching the gradual lifting of Dhimmitude from the MSM. It's getting more refreshing every day. Comments that would have been moderated out of the BBC, Guardian etc have been left in. Commentators from within the MSM are getting more bold in thier critical analysis. Articles that point to the problem being Islam, Mo etc are actually being published. (ok within these are some lines of PC dogma, but the central message is getting louder). I listen to BBC 3 Counties Radio and over the last 6 months the presenters have been getting bolder and bolder over the airwaves. It's been like listening to Jihad Watch bloggers ON THE RADIO. Amazing!

The chief Muslim organisation in Britain has condemned the BBC for giving a well-known Islamic extremist who hijacked a speech by the Home Secretary a prime-time platform to air his views today.
The decision to interview Abu Izzadeen today during the key 8.10am slot on the agenda-setting Today programme was heavily criticised by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), which described Abu Izzadeen as a "thug" and accused the BBC of deliberately trying to generate publicity.
"We have received phone call after phone call from moderate Muslims who are appalled that the Today programme gave such an utterly marginal figure this prime-time spot to spout his bile almost interrupted," said Inayat Bunglawala, spokesman for the MCB.
"There was no attempt to balance the interview or challenge his views by having a mainstream Muslim view featured. This really plays into the hands of those who think of Muslims as bigots. People are very upset about this misrepresentation of Islam."
Abu Izzadeen, also known as Omar Brookes, renewed his attack on the Government, accusing Tony Blair of being a "Crusader" against Islam, and warned of Muslim retaliation in the UK if the Government continued with its measures against terrorism, during the interview this morning on Radio Four. He also rejected democracy and called for the UK to come under Sharia law during the heated exchange.
If by now, Palestinian and Arab Christians do not realize that Islam is no friend of theirs, then there is truly no hope for them.

Cardinal questions Turkey's admission to EU
Cardinal O'Connor has questioned Turkey's EU credentials
The head of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales today questioned whether Turkey should be admitted to the European Union.
The Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor, echoed Pope Benedict XVI in saying that the predominantly Muslim state was not culturally part of Europe.
The Cardinal sought to play down the controversy over the Pope's recent speech in which he quoted the words of a Byzantine emperor who described Islam as "evil and inhuman".
However he accepted that there were passages in the Koran which could be read as an "incentive to violence".
Cardinal Murphy O'Connor questioned the position of Tony Blair who has consistently argued for Turkish membership of the EU on the grounds that exclusion would be damaging.

I looked at the picture a bit and after thinking about it, I came to realize what the Muslim protestor meant.
Muslims believe that at the End Times, there will arise a character known as ad-Dajjal. Dajjal means liar, and according to Muslim beliefs, ad-Dajjal is the Antichrist. Muhammad said that he is blind in one eye, hence the eye-patch. Also, he is the leader of the Jews, hence the star of David. So, what the Muslim protestors are saying in the defacement is that they identify the Pope as ad-Dajjal. According to Muslim beliefs, ad-Dajjal will be killed by Isa (Muslim version of Jesus). when he descends from heaven.
Note that ad-Dajjal is not the Antichrist described in the Bible, but in essence parallels the "Two Witnesses" in Revelations of the Bible. See this site for more comparisons:

You are right, of course, that many Protestants view that the Antichrist will be the Pope, or the head of EU, will the Pope as his assistant (that is not my opinion, however). However, I was specifically talking about a Muslim's viewpoint, that the Muslim holding the mutilated picture seems to imply that the Pope is ad-Dajjal. Please not that the description of ad-Dajjal and Antichrist of the Bible are not the same, and I hold the position that ad-Dajjal is different from the (biblical) Antichrist.

They also rewrite history, claiming that Israel is the "occupier" when in reality it is the Palestinians who are the occupiers of the land that our Lord gave to Israel! They even claim that Jesus Christ was the "Messenger of Islam" & that His remarks pertaining to the Holy Spirit coming to the disciples were actually about Muhammad! This is the most twisted mindset that I've ever seen in such a large group of people.
I am not Catholic, but I salute the Pope for courageously refusing to give in to their evil temper tantrums and apologize. I am so sick of watching how everyone else kowtows to the Muslims with sickening sycophancy, eager to placate them in the hopes that the Muslims will decide to like them. It seems as if everyone -- from President Bush on down -- feels compelled to qualify any anti-terror speech with a comment such as, "Islam is a noble religion," "Islam is a religion of peace," or "Muslims are peace-loving people". I have yet to see any evidence of that. If this is true, then where are all these "peace-loving" Muslims?? Why aren't they speaking out publicly & heatedly denying {at the very least} the blasphemy being done to their "noble" religion by the terrorists? The silence stands out as a deafening roar!
I have wanted to scream every time I hear someone falsely praise Islam as being 'noble' or 'peaceful'. The Pope is the only one thus far who has taken a stand & refused to kiss the gluteus maximus of Islam even in the midst of yet another violent coniption fit. Way to go, Pope Benedict XVI!

Try this on for size.
Provide all combat units with an interrogation kit consisting of a pig-skin, a can of spam, and a bottle of cheap wine.
Any captured terrorists get their head shaved, stripped off, and wrapped in a nice warm pig-skin to prevent hypothermia. Then a snack of Spam containing pork which could be garnished with some dog meat. Then wash it all down with a cheap burgundy, as white wine doesn't go with pork. If they still won't talk, mark his forehead with a semi-permanent marker with a "D" for defiled. Then cut him loose.
Who knows what the reaction would be? Probably make the outcry against the Pope seem insignificant.
It also seems to me a prudent combat soldier would save any left-over bacon drippings to lubricate his bullets.
I have had absolutely no respect for the Islamic religion ever since 9/11. What's interesting is: my husband spent months in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm, and he came back with a respect for Islam for many reasons, esp. the low crime rate there.
There is no way he has even one iota of regard for that religion now, and it is their OWN doing.
Well, I'm off to buy my new tee shirt...shows a pic of a Muslim woman in full burqa, and underneath it says, "Does this bomb make me look fat?"
