Palestinian police guarding a church in Nablus exchanged fire with assailants and chased them away early Saturday, witnesses said.Shortly after midnight, the sound of heavy gun fire was heard outside the Roman Catholic Church in the West Bank city .
Resident Abdel Salam Abu Rob said police guarding the church were exchanging fire with wouldbe assailants. Police guards were posted at churches in the West Bank and Gaza last weekend, after a first spate of attacks.
Residents said they heard intensive fire for about 20 minutes. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage to the church.
Ealier Friday evening, three small pipe bombs were thrown at a Greek Orthodox church in Gaza city , a church official and police said.
A church official in Gaza City, Nabil Ayad, said one bomb was thrown at the facade of the church, shattering glass windows of a nearby van. The main entrance was blackened.
Two other small bombs were thrown inside the church compound, Ayad said. The extent of damage was not clear yet, Ayad, the caretaker of the church said.
I think that the EU should release some of its Palestinian aid to these churches so they can build a defense perimeter, complete with towers bunkers, and mine field.
OT, but I learned something new today. Ramadan is a season for spreading Islamic propaganda to non-Muslims.

For the muslims, the fasting is from morning to evening, in the "holy" month of ramadan. In the morning, there is the "sehri" (time when the fast starts), and the mullah in the mosque alarms them 30 minutes before sunrise. (By screaming on the speakers). So they stuff themselves with food and water. Then they go without food and water for the rest of the day. (Yes, they actually do it. They don't work, but just lie ideally.) And when the fasting is over (at sundown), there is a feast for them. The breaking of this fast is called as "iftar", and in case you are wondering about the dishes, please hit the White House site. It is holding "iftar" dawats (feasts) for the muslims.
There is more food bought in islamic countries in ramadan than in the other 11 months of the year together.
Many muslims put on weight during it.

No congrats though for the media in particular the BBC who regularly give us breaking news and blow by blow accounts on attacks on Mosques in the UK, Netherlands and the US. Even though there were no witnesses and it is obvious that the Muslims were the ones doing the damage to make it look like the BNP did it.
What we see in the West Bank and Gaza (why didn't Israel just kick the b******s into Syria and the sea while they had the chance?)will be being repeated on a much larger scale and thanks to the general news blackout on these attacks they will be happening right under the noses of the people. The nest we will know is that our women have to dress in veils and we all have to report to our local Mosque for Shahada.
Those Christians ought to greet each night with armed guards and when the muslims show up....take care of business.
I wonder if churches will soon be attacked in non-Muslim countries including the United States. If that happens, who will the media blame? I do not think they will blame Muslims since they are very politically correct. Perhaps they will blame what is to them a more acceptable enemy like Neo-Nazis.
THese picture (posted by crusader619 ) are really chilling. I think every american should see them to realize that those opposing torture of terrorists are the dumbest guys on the planet. Before tackling the enemy, one should know them well. And also Americans should realize that when faced with such circumstances and seeing one's close buddies mutilated, any sane human being is expected to loose the mind, and therefore, they should come openly in support of the troops accused of any crime in Iraq.
As far as Muslim fasting goes, they make their animals fast too.

arjun.sevak your description of ramadan is bang on. I had a discussion years ago with a girl who wsa trying to tell me how tough it was for muslims when they fast. As a christian once we get up light or no light its the next day. And our fast is for all hours for at least 4 weeks. Well not too many people follow this. And for hindus fasting is even stricter. But what makes me laugh about muslims is that they have this reputation as being devout and very disciplined. In fact the ramadan feast is a joke. You get up and stuff your face then they go out in winter months without food which is maybe what 8 hours then stuff their faces again. This is not a fast this is how billions of people eat as they are too busy in the day. Ramadan exposes the myth of muslim devoutness. It is a religion for the mentally, morally ,and intellectually weak. It is not a religion for devout and disciplined people. It is a religion for people whohave no self restraint and it rewards their murderous, greedy, and pedaphelic desires by calling them holy.
I just took a look at the videos Crusader619 posted. Every American, especially the liberals should view what the enemy does to our people. From a psychological standpoint, those butchers are nothing but serial killers using their religion as a means to enact their fantasies. I would bet they masturbate after each and every killing, reliving it over and over. This just makes my blood boil. If we have another attack, we need to give the Muslims in our country a taste of their own medicine and leave the other ones fleeing our country for their lives.

All Christians should leave Gaza and other areas contaminated by the "peaceful" ones. We can evict the "peaceful" ones here and take in these people who truly are oppressed.
I just watched the video link posted by crusader619. The next time I hear that Islam is "a noble religion, very rich in tradition", I'll remember the noble tradition of mutilating bodies, dragging them behind a truck, decapitating them and then starting them on fire. Very rich indeed.
