Following are excerpts from an interview with Egyptian cleric Safwat Higazi, which aired on Dream2 TV on August 26, 2006:[...]
When I said what I said, I was dreaming a beautiful dream, which I hope will come true, and that we all agree upon it. I dreamt that we are the Arab Islamic States, not just Egypt, Lebanon, and Palestine. I was truly dreaming that we are the Arab Islamic States. Get a map of the Arab homeland, and erase the borders... Or maybe these can be borders between counties or states, like the USA, in which 49 states were united into one country. I had a dream that we were one country, called the Arab Islamic States. The capital of this country is Egypt, and the president of Egypt and its government head this country. This is the dream I dreamt.

I said that these Israelis... I specified the Israeli Jew, not just any Jew. I said, word for word, that these are American Jews, Dutch Jews, and Jews from all other nationalities - and to them this does not apply. He must be a Jew and an Israeli, and not just any Israeli, because there are Israeli Arabs, there are Muslim Israelis from the 1948 Arabs, there are Christian Israelis... He must be an Israeli Jew, and, in parentheses - a Zionist. This was the first condition to my fatwa. The second condition is that he must be a combatant - in other words, a reserves soldier in the Israeli Defense Forces.

The third condition was that this action must cause no damage. I even said that it was entirely forbidden for someone to wear an explosives belt and blow himself up, and destroy a car in the street, just in order to kill an Israeli.

The fourth condition I mentioned was that no innocent person be killed. If we apply these four conditions of the fatwa in order to kill an Israeli, one must make sure that he is a Jew, an Israeli, and that he is between 21 and 54, the age of the reserves, and if she is a woman, she must be between 21 and 34, which is the age of the reserves [for women], and even then, he must make sure that she has no children, because a woman of this age with children is no longer a soldier in the IDF.

In an unusual display, someone spoke up against this madness:
Salah Issa, Al-Qahira editor-in-chief: He said: "I was imagining that this has become the Arab Islamic States, and that is why I said this." No. Excuse me, but you live here, in Egypt. Egypt has a peace agreement with Israel. Whether or not we accept it, this agreement exists. According to this agreement, any Israeli who comes here enjoys our protection, as Muslims.
What a bizarre dream. Wonder what this guy was smoking prior to this dream. At least he's a nice guy-he only picks on some Jews in the dream.
This qualifies as enlightenment under Islam,no doubt.
Note to dreamer: there are FIFTY states,not 49. He forgot the state of insanity that tries to have us all believe guys like this are rational and peaceful.
The dream of unified "Arab Islamic states" is nothing more than a restatement of the pan-Arabism associated with, inter alia, Nasser and latterly, the newest claimant to being the champion of "the Arabs," Saddam Hussein. Seen for a long time as distinct from pan-Islamic sentiment (which is merely a way of saying: from the standard view of traditional Islam), pan-Arabism or "Arab nationalism" is merely a subset of the notion of Dar al-Islam, and does not stand in real opposition to it.
Lacking the oil revenues, and with many non-Arab Muslim countries (and some Arab ones) still finding their way after independence, Arabs could scarcely have dreamt of one unified Islamic world, but a pan-Arab state was, and remains for some, the right approximation. Besides, heute Ururba, morgen die ganze islamische Welt, und then, the day after tomorrow, as the Lands of the Infidels slowly yield...well, you know the rest.
As an American I've wondered why our citizens would go to any hostel country. Any Israelie at this time whom doesn't heed these warnings has a loose screw in his head.

You must know that a significant percentage of Israelis and a clear majority of Jewish Americans inhabit a parallel dimension called liberalunatoona. fatwa's are the easy way for an imam to make his bones. It is much safer then becoming a jihadi, imams are a cowardly lot. The question to ask is how many more fatwas are there now that we have global communications? I'd bet a pork BBQ sandwhich there have been more fatwas writen in the last ten years than in the entire history of islam. The sad part is most muslims are to slow to realize it. They remind me of a farmers bull, pull the nose ring and they will follow.
All of us here have a dream too. We dream that one day we'll all wake up and have all the Muslims in the world realize that they've been duped for 1400 years by a mentally deranged nut

Safwat Higazi's dream is a nightmare he must have come up with while drunk and high munching on deeo fried pork and given the aveage arab egotision it would be a nightmare for the west its too bad muslems will not acept countries like spain and israeli have throuen the cultist moslems out anf quit paying the pol tax to them

The only thing that really appealed to me about this nightmare is the fact that no way can those creeps all get along together.They would be killing each other left,right and centre,,and imagine the honour killings.
They would have to re-write an even stricter version of sharia if that is at all possible.
Sheik Safwat Higazi...is one of the most well known preachers, and he has a show on Al-Nas TV. He said, among other things, that if he saw an Israeli on the street, in Egypt, he would kill him.
Thank you Sheik Higazi for kindly explaining that you would murder in cold blood, the innocent Jew in the above statement only if he were a young Israeli Jew, and there would be no collateral damage. Perhaps a beheading on a street corner would suit your taste? Thanks for the clarification...I was beginning to think you might be preaching violence.

Dream on. What else can the Islamists do ? They have not won a war against a non-Islamic nation for hundreds of years. On the other hand, the Islamic nations are gradually getting dismembered (e.g. Pakistan, Iraq) until they will be puny enough not to harbour big dreams.
The rest of the world (esp India) has to thank that brilliant Jew Albert Einstein for being able to create weapons that can blast these losers into the stone age or prior.

Quite right ! I am baffled as to why any westerner yould choose to spend a single penny / cent / euro in any Islamic country and therefore perpetuate their miserable regimes. The gays have their 'pink pound' . The Environmentallists their 'Green Pound' (sorry , BUCK . I'm British so you must excuse me ). What's to stop us lizardoids having a 'RIGHT BUCK' and spending it only in businessess and institutions that WE choose ? Since 911 , I for one am determined that I will not spend any of my hard earned cash in any Islamic business or enterprise if I can help it . The local 'Paki Shop' does not get my cash ... I check that any Indian restaurants I visit are truly Indian - I have no problem with Hindu owned businesses and wish them every success - but a single penny to Islam , NEVER .
Perhaps if more of us were to do likewise then we could effect a non-violent but significant impact upon Muslim opinion such that , If they will not change their ways due to reason , then perhaps they may do so because of simple economic necessity .
