THREE Indonesian Christians who were on death row for inciting violence against Muslims in 2000 were executed by firing squad, their lawyer said."They have been executed. Their bodies are now undergoing an autopsy at the police hospital," lawyer Roy Rening said.
Mr Rening said he was informed of the executions of Fabianus Tibo, Dominggus da Silva and Marianus Riwu by the prosecutors office in Palu, the capital of religiously-divided Central Sulawesi province, where the men were being held....
A spokesman for Pope Benedict XVI said the executions were a "defeat for humanity".

They weren't the murderers and the Indonesian government won't admit the evidence that proves it. It was another group of Christians that committed the attack and paid off the police and prosecutors during the original arrest. The blame was passed on the the three men executed a few hours ago. It is a big coverup to protect those police, prosecutors and also local Muslim politicians involved in the whole conflict, not to mention government's army, militant terrorists and jihadists, Laskar Jihad (who helped train Al-Qaeda in Indonesia in the same area)who were brought in by local Muslims to exterminate the Christians and so on. It is one big mess that the Indonesian government is whitewashing and burying so as not to embarrass any Muslims involved and the result is three Christian men are the scapegoats and have been executed. No Muslims were charged for their parts in the conflict and all have gotten amnesty.
It is up to someone with more money than to hire someone to take care of the Bali bomber.
It tells a huge message to people who are thinking of buying anything which says "made in Indonesia" or those who may want to go on holiday there to remember how Non Muslims are treated in a state where the law favours Muslims and only Muslims.
The sooner Indonsesia is eliminated, the better. The Bali murderers get a peck on the cheek and these guys, on obviously trumped up charged, get death. A thoroughly disgusting excuse for a country.
Why an autopsy? I'd think the cause of death would be rather evident.
Has anyone ever heard a follow-up on the story which surfaced about 1.5 years ago... A body was found in the basement of the Indonesian Embassy in NYC with the hands removed. It disappeared very quickly, but I have always thought it was a sign that they are conducting Sharia torture right here on US soil...

The news crawler on CNN stated that 3 "Christian Militants" were executed for, among other crimes, attacking a school and killing 70 civilians.
Whomever wrote it took pains to stress the terroristic acts that the Christians engaged in (not "alleged" acts mind you, but as fact on high) and how they richly deserved the sentence that was carried out against them. There was no mention of anyone saying that they might be innocent or of the protests against the way they were railroaded through the Indonesian courts.
No, in CNN-World (and AP-World, and BBC-World, ad nauseum) this was an opportune moment to highlight the moral equivalence between Christian and Muslim fanaticism. You see, all religions have their terrorists and this proves it!

Somehow they forgot to mention that Jakarta has policies in place which are flooding formerly Christian dominated Sulawesi with Muslim insurgents from Java -- basically your garden variety Jihad conducted by pious Muslims. I was aghast when I read this today. Three men were executed for their religion and the outside world did nothing. The only man brave enough to speak out has been silenced by the so called liberal media by portraying him as a hater.(I am talking about the pope)
You hear read about the nazis but this really painted a grim picture of what the nazis were like. I feel anger when I think that to be tolerant we must ignore this garbage murderous culture and only find faults in ourselves. I did not give a penny to tsunami aid as I knew it was going to these dogs. The poor christians of sulewasi I feel so helpless that nothing can be done.

These three heroes were killed because they refused to play the dhimmi. Instead they rightly stood up to Muslim oppression and were falsely accused of crimes they could not have committed. Manado and all of Sulawesi should be an independent country as should West Papua, the Molluccas, Bali and Lombok. In the Molluccas, the island of Flores was until 1991 overwhelmingly Christian, but the Christians were massacred and expelled and the whole island colonized by Muslims. The three executed men were from Flores but their families were among those expelled.

provoslani: Jakarta's scheme of Islamizing the "Outer Islands" of the archipelago has been financed by the World Bank and is in fact well-known under its official (and deceptive) title, "transmigration", and it was supposed to have been canceled a couple of years ago (which doesn't mean that it was).
On paper, 'transmigration' appeared to be a good idea--the island of Java, dangerously overcrowded with 130,000,000 inhabitants in an area approximately the size of England, was to be the source of scarce labor and capital for the relatively underpopulated, and little-developed but resource-abundant "outer islands" eg, Maluku, Sulawesi, et al.
But in reality, this program was a scheme hatched by the heavily Islamicized Indonesian Armed Forces (who really run the country anyway, oblivious to the country's secular constitution) to brutally Islamize the archipelago at the point of the sword. That islamization campaign of course is what we are really seeing in this article and the unfortunate Christian people who have been murdered by Jakarta's unspoken jihad against them.

The Indonesian armed forces therefore have become a de facto branch of al-Qaeda and Indonesia is indeed nowadays the site of a vicious jihad war. Mainstream Indonesians have been brainwashed to the degree that Ousamah bin Laden is Indonesia's national hero and have been generally supportive of the bloodshed. Non-Islamic structures, including buddhist ones, are being pillaged.
A few years back, THE ECONOMIST (a dhimmitized British journal) ran a cover story "THE UGLY NEW INDONESIA." The article was all about Indonesia's islamization wars and generally ignored. But this article presaged the ugly events seen today in Sulawesi and other localities in the archipelago.
By the way, Flores is an island in the Lesser Sunda Islands (Nusa Tenggara) not the Moluccas. Ambon, a war-torn island half Christian and half Muslim is the most populous Moluccan island. i am not sure which island you were thinking of or mixed the two together.

Sorry for the mind-burp. I meant Seram (Ceram) an island in the Molluccas (Maluku) where
most of the people have been either of the Animist, Muslim or Christian faith. However, during the jihad that swept the Maluku province and other parts of Indonesia in 1998, the Christian and other non-Muslim population was either killed, driven off the island or forcibly converted to Islam and their homes and property burned. The remaining population is now entirely Muslim.

You are right, we should be a seperate country. We are now the last bastion of Christian dominated areas in Indonesia. We are ready for the jihadis. Most of the Muslims here are from neighboring Gorontalo province. They are afraid of the Minahasan people. Javanese Muslims don't like it here because all they see are churches. Prayer call is only allowed for less than a minute. Very few new mosques are being built because we don't want them and are not giving permission for them to be built (reversal of what the Muslims are doing to Christians in the rest of Indonesia). If we could, we would love to become part of Australia or New Zealand or America. We support Israel and we have neighborhood jihad watches. Our economy is not dependent on the rest of Indonesia which is why we are able to stay Christian and non-dependent on the central government.
