Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a message to the 7th annual meeting of the nationwide universities independent students Islamic association here Thursday said that faith, resolve and Jihad are the three elements required to materialize any goal and ideal.
The Supreme Leader pointed to the three elements as Islam's eternal lessons, which once elevated Muslims to the climax of history, adding that today they will serve to rescue them from captivity.
His citing of the the "climax of (Islamic) history" helps put to rest the possible suggestion that he is mainly concerned with an internal moral struggle, pointing instead to the model of the Muslim world as a conquering, military power.
"There is no doubt that the youth are most capable concerning these three basic elements," added Ayatollah Khamenei.
In his message, the Supreme Leader said that a community in which justice, spirituality and dignity are set on top of its goals is obliged to be faithful, determined and pursue Jihad.
"This is the same eternal lesson of Islam to its followers and the entire humanity," added Ayatollah Khamenei.

Elsewhere in his message, the Supreme Leader called on the independent students to trust divine promises, which are to be materialized in light of the vigilance of world nations.
Ayatollah Khamenei further called on them to attach value to their potentials and make optimum use of their capacities in scientific fields, adding, "The future belongs to you."
Merely to note the constant emphasis on Jihad in every speech by every significant leader of Muslims, Sunni or Shi'a, is to offend Muslims. They want to speak to their own people in the way that those people understand and will respond to; they want to speak openly, that is, of jihad to remove all opposition to Islam, jihad fi sabih Allah, Jihad in the path of Allah, Jihad to destroy all obstacles, Jihad by whatever instruments prove effective, Jihad to ensure that everywhere Islam dominates and Muslims rule, everywhere. That is what they wish to speak about. That is what they do speak about.
But you, the Infidels of this world, must not notice this. You must not point it out. You must not make anything of it. You must not discuss it. Because if you do, you will "offend" Muslims. Your speech will be "offensive" to them. And we must not engage in any speech which might "offend" Muslims, which they might find "offensive."

Ideology-belief system, dogmatism, and kill the unbeliever, are the eternal lessons of Islam. Muslims believe that God gave the order to kill unbelievers in the Koran, and now non-Muslims know that or they are required to pay a tax as per the Koran. God said so.
We are not far from the time when ordinary people are going to laugh at Muslims when they call their belief system "a religion of peace". As a Muslim, I was always taught about Jihad as an internal struggle. That used to be a pretty mainstream understanding. The whole family is very well educated and in lots of different professional fields. For us, religion is not a "complete way of life" in the sense that Ullema means (theocracy), but a personal communication with God. We don't want to blow up the US or get rid of Israel. We support Israel's right to protect its current borders - they fought for them fair and square. The US is an Israeli ally and if you don't like it, tough. To Arab countries we say: you've not been able to successfully regain that land and now you have a choice: keep fighting and living in shit or accept Israel and find peace and prosperity. You can keep fighting if you want but don't be all surprised when you keep dying - and don't come crying to me about it.
The concept of "dhimmi" was revolutionary for it's time but democracy is a better system. Society has MOVED ON - and so should Muslims. And Islam DOES support a more modern society. The first Surah in the Koran commands to learn and - by extension - progress by benefitting from new discoveries. Democracy is a better concept than dhimmi and should supplant it. Islam is NOT "the answer". Whose version of Islam? My version doesn't support honour killings, forced marriage, global jihad, multiple wives (do the math - it doesn't work), theocratic rule, etc. Even the early caliphite fell apart within less than 40 years because it was supposed work much more like a representitive democracy and it worked much more like a dictatorship. The current Islamists want to bring back that dictatorship format. So what have we learned? Nothing. No thanks, Jihadis.
MY Islam is supposed to be about spiritual strength and God's love. Am I in the tiny minority? I'm afraid that suddenly I'm in a shrinking minority. But I'm certainly not alone either. So, I say: fight the Islamists. It's kill or be killed with those fascists. Pull no punches - they do not want to talk. The world I want to live in is the United States. MY version of Islam fully supports the Age of Enlightenment ideals on which this country is based - and I'd like to live to pass these ideals on to my kids.
If this is what's passing for Islam these days, then I think that we ARE in a war with Islam and I'm okay with that. After all, you're not going to come after me or Muslims like us because we won't give you reason to. In fact, we'll be helping you go after these monsters - and we do, incidentally. Your assumption that Muslims will soon outnumber Christians is false. China and India are Christianizing at breakneck speed, and there is a growing apostasy movement throughout the Islamosohere (which is what prompted Ousamah bin Laden and others to declare jihad against the western world). By the way, the Judeo-Christian God, Jehovah, HAS appeared to man and even interacted with man-- two things that al-lah never managed. Why are these Jihadists advocates consistant and do not pull punches with regard to actions they need to take? Why do we not hear it from our leader?
Papa Smirk was asked a reasonable question during his press conference today about using Special Forces to go into Pakistan and kill Bin Laden if it was possible. His answer was that no, Pakistan is a sovereign country, we just can't do that.
In that case we are not going to win. If we are not willing to go and kill these guys wherever they are then we don't have what it takes. They have no such scruples.
A couple hundred of SF guys have lead an overthrow of a country in a month in Afghanistan. Don't think they couldn't take anyone out if they were simply given the tools and power to do so.

If we ask ourselves: who is this Khameini? and look seriously for the answer, we're in for a big surprise. Indeed, if we investigate any of the current "leaders" of the Ummah, we might notice some common denominators. Firstly, most of them seem to creep out of the woodwork. Whether it be the "Grand Mufti" of Jerusalem - al Husseini (thanks heaps, British Foreign Office!), his nephew - Yassir Arafat nee Husseini (al's nephew), Khomeini, Khameini, Nasrallah, Bash'r (take your pick of 20+), OBL et al, they simply 'were' where before then they 'weren't'. This suggests that they were either self-appointed or appointed as favourites (nepotism?) by the self-appointed. In either case, they were definitely not elected.
Secondly, none of these clerics speak of peaceful co-existance, at least not in their native tongues to their native populace. And this populace is the next major hurdle. Unlike Moslems who live in the West by choice (and hence enjoy the benefits of open society - whether for ultimate good or for ultimate evil) Moslems in much of the Islamic world remain severely under-educated, ignorant, under-utilised, overly-dependant and easily swayed as a mob (this is simply Cause and Effect in Technicolor). And the clerics know this, only too well.
The clerics can quote from the Q'ran to "prove" that what they say is "true", but they will never quote what is inconvenient to their own individual positions. So most Moslems will learn the Q'ran with a distinct bent. And right now, it is clear that Moslem leaders are bent on world domination. I can offer not even one exception to this, from anywhere in the Ummah.
So, any Moslem who is well-educated, open-minded, aware of the current dangers, appreciative of true freedom (even to be evil, until the law or death catches up with you) and disenchanted with the way in which the clerics are leading fellow Moslems, any such Moslem must be reflective.
That an increasing number of non-Moslems are becoming increasingly antagonistic towards Moslems is both understandable and justified. But Moslems are not, and will not be systematically beheaded for being Moslem. This is self-evident. If the likes of catgirl can be confident that her life will not be in danger should she speak out against the many practitioners of hatred within the Ummah, while standing her ground as a Moslem, then my argument and all concern for the future simply vapourises. With all respect to catgirl and her ilk (keep going!)...
