Sharia Alert from our friend and ally. From the Daily Mail:
A prize winning bikini contest model who claimed she was the Pakistani representative has sparked outrage in the predominantly muslim country.Stunning Mariyah Moten, 22, won the 'Best in Media' title - for being the most photographed and interviewed contestant - at the pageant in the Chinese resort of Beihai.
But furious Pakistani authorities say she did not have permission to represent the country, where many women only go out in public covered in a veil.
They are now threatening the model, who grew up in Pakistan but holds a US passport after she moved there eight years ago, with restrictions on entering her homeland.
"We have asked our missions in Washington and Beijing to investigate this because it is against our policy, culture and religion," senior Culture Ministry official Abdul Hafeez Chaudhry said.
"She is an American passport holder. She is an American national of Pakistani origin, so how did she get entry as a Pakistani?"
Well, I'm glad they have launched an investigation in two countries on this most vital of matters.
So is she now going to be stoned or gangbanged by the practitioners of the religion of peace? If she were hauled before a Sharia court, what would her fate be?
Happily, this reminds me of a couple of years bsvk when tens of thousands of strapping black dudes went on a murderous rampage in Lagos cuz they had all those white foxes in bikinis at the Miss Universe Contest.
Only the "religion" of Islam can provide us such great comedy.
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, you dog, you were kidding us. There is humor in Islam, and this Infidel is having a good horse laugh right now on his pork ranch.
Thank you, Moslems. You guys are so funny.

Can you imagine the Islamic version of the Miss Universe Pageant? The stage full of burqa'ed women, each one as black and dull as the next. When it came to the question and answer section ("What would you do, as the Islamic Miss Universe, to end world hunger?" or some such), the answers would all be something along the lines of "My father and brother told me not to speak to strangers, or they will kill me", and the audience would cheer because that is the right answer. Then there would be the Qur'an Recitation section, then the Behead-the-Goat section, followed by the Wail-For-The-Camera-Because-The-Filthy-Zionist-Jews-Just-Destroyed-Your-House-In-Lebanon-For-The-Third-Time-In-Three-Weeks section.
"He also said the government might withdraw from Moten special privileges offered to people of Pakistani descent such as visa-free travel to Pakistan."
So, she'd then have to apply for a visa (paying the fees, getting an Islamically approved passport photo, waiting in line, etc.) so that she could be stoned to death in the 'old country'.
Hmm.
Those wild, sluty Paki womens!
From her name, it sounds like she's a Christian. Or isn't she? If she is a Muslim, she should be deported to Pakistan and stoned. If she is a Christian, good for her
Infidel Pride is correct (as usual)! Mariyah Moten's family are Christians from Karachi. Another "Pakistani" contestant was Padma Poor, a Hindu.
Although there are more "liberal" Muslims in Karachi than in other parts of Pakistan, especially compared to the north of that country, it is dangerous for even liberal Muslims to participate in beauty pageants, leaving them to the beauties of the small Christian and Hindu minorities.
Interestingly, in the school where I teach, there are dozens of Desi Pakistanis. The Punjabi girls almost all wear hijab while the Sindhis never do. Perhaps India should work to seceed the Sindh from the rest of Pakistan.
Another example for my post above is Sehr Mahmood - Miss Pakistan World 2006. She was born into a liberal Sindhi "Muslim" family in Karachi and now lives in Boston.

Thanks for the compliments. As usual, I'm impressed by what you know.
I mentioned this in another thread earlier - while I like the idea of weakening Pakistan, I'm opposed to any more Muslim countries - we have enough as it is. Two other posters were arguing for an independent Baluchistan.
An independent Baluchistan or Sind would be no different from an independent Bangladesh. In 1971, the Mukti Bahini movement was purely a linguistic movement - aimed at preventing Urdu from overriding (East) Bengali as the official language of that region. It too was 'secular' insofar as there wasn't a Jihadist component to that movement. India thought it was being clever by supporting that independence movement, and thereby buying Dacca's (as it was then spelt) future loyalties. Of course, as is oft the case with Mohammedans, that's a non-existant concept. What was worse was that none of this was put in a treaty on paper once Bangladesh did become independent, with the result that once Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was assassinated and the Islamization of Bangladesh began, Dacca could start bitching about the Farraka Dam or the New Moore island, and the 'brilliant' Indira Gandhi could do nothing about it.
So what effect did Bangladeshi independence have on Pakistan vis a vis Kashmir? Squat! The same would be the case if Pakistan lost Sind, Baluchistan or NWFP - its claim on Kashmir wont weaken. And there's no reason to believe that an Islamic Sind or Islamic Baluchistan would be any more pro-India than an Islamic Bangladesh.
So where did India go wrong in 1971? After all, Pakistan started that war by bombing Agra airport (if only they had levelled the Taj). India, after invading Bangladesh and defeating Pakistan, should have expelled all anti-Bengali Pakistanis for one. After all, 30% of the population then was Hindu, who would have fitted in almost perfectly in a greater Bengal, while the linguistic Bengali Muslims would have been satisfied, since most Indian states then were on the basis of language. Muslims who cared more about their language would have done just fine. Instead, by letting Bangladesh become an independent country, India ensured that it had a permanent illegal immigration problem on 5 border states that would make the Rio Grande look like the Berlin Wall, and has taken in since then both Hindu refugees and Muslim illegals as a result.
Like I said before, mistaken decisions, and water under the bridge. But no need to repeat that in Sind or Baluchistan. Besides, how many nuclear Islamic countries would one have as a result? I prefer an united Pakistan that one day the US would have to confront with ICBM's to take out their arsenal - not because they are a threat to India, but because Pakistan could easily sell them to OPEC countries like Iran or Saudi Arabia, thereby threatening not just Israel, but Europe as well.
"on this most vital of matters."
It is pretty vital actually: control of women's bodies seems to be the whole basis of islam, the reason for sharia, islam's way of spreading faster than other populations, and their reason for fear of the 'decadent' west.
She might not realise just how daring a move she has made. I wish her all success in whatever she wants to do - islamists just don't get that concept!
Infidel Pride,
The problems you point out show how untenable the situation is when dealing with Muslims. Had India had a better leader than Indira Gandhi, it could have "revoked the partition" of East Bengal and annexed it. Not only would the then 30% Hindu population been protected but many more Hindus who had left in 1948 would have returned to their former homes. This would've further diluted the Muslim Bengali population. Unfortunately, Indira's "secularism" was simply quasi-socialist anti-Hinduism.
As for an independent Sindh. It might be just another Muslim base, unless it were in a state of permanent conflict with Pakistan. India could seek to annex it outright, but would India really want a Muslim state in its union. Again a lose/lose situation no matter what she does.
If the Indian government had even more foresight, it would turn all the Mosques over to the Ahmadiyas or even better, to the Agha Khan, and outlaw the Deobandi fundamentalists altogether.
Provoslavni
I largely agree with your account of Indira Gandhi and that it's a lose-lose, but I'm not sure turning the mosques over to Ahmadiyas or Ismailiyas is a solution - after all, all of them owe allegance to Mohammed. De-Islamization is the only way to do it, but since Pakistan is a nuclear power with missiles capable of striking most of North India, it's at this point beyond India's capability. Better idea to wait until the US is forced to confront the issue of Paki nukes being sold to oil rich Jihadists - and that's a question of when, not if.
Infidel Pride,
You're right that the confrontation is coming. It is only a matter of time before Musharraf faces the gallows like Bhutto. I agree that de-Islamization must be the goal but that is a long process.
As a first step the transfer of all Mosques (and especially madrassas and Islamic colleges) to the Ismailis or Ahmadiyas would serve two purposes. First, the Ismailis are Muslim in name only. Their beliefs are syncretistic with Hinduism and Christianity. Their view of Mohammed is as a spiritual symbol and secondary to their living imam. Second, both the Ismailis and the Ahmadiyas reject Jihad. This means they are less likely to be a threat.
The advantage of giving them control of all the Islamic institutions is, over a couple of generations, they can more likely lead people away from orthodox Islam without causing the backlash that would occur otherwise. This is why they are attacked so viciously by Muslim scholars. People who become Ismaili or Ahmadi leave the Islamic minset while still thinking themselves to be Muslims.
If "Muslims" could be purely religious they would not be threat. Who cares if they pray five times a day, circumcize their sons, or abstain from pork. It is the ideological nature of Islam that threatens us all. Since the Ismailis (and to a lesser extent, the Ahmadiyas) have moved towards being a religion and not an ideology, we ought to encourage that. At least as a temporary tactic.
Oh, the humanity! Here Mariyah Moten is in another photo shamelessly embracing the Hindu Miss India Bikini instead of blowing her up!

What are these wild and slutty young Paki womens coming to? It won't be long before they demand that their husbands stop scourging them with whips!
Does anyone remember the riots in Nigeria re the Miss World beauty contests? Hundreds died simply when a Muslim journalist suggested ''that the Prophet Mohammed would have probably chosen to marry one of the Miss World contestants if he had witnessed the beauty pageant'' - which Nigeria was hosting.
I now understand how evil the suggestion was: Mohammed was secretly in favour of Camel Beauty contests - the inagural one was held in the UAE in 2002
