KABUL, Afghanistan - In the most brazen attack yet on Kabul's heavily guarded center, a car bomber rammed into an American Humvee outside the U.S. Embassy on Friday, killing 16 other people, including two U.S. soldiers. It was the Afghan capital's deadliest suicide attack since the 2001 toppling of the Taliban.
A purported Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the privately run Pajhwok Afghan News Agency. Ahmadi's exact ties to the Taliban leadership are unclear.
The morning blast spewed body parts and pieces of U.S. military uniforms across a major road and into trees that were set ablaze by the explosion -- part of the worst spate of violence in Afghanistan since the collapse of the hard-line Islamic regime.
The attack shattered what had been a typically peaceful Muslim sabbath in the war-ravaged capital and revealed the lingering vulnerability of foreign troops, local forces and Afghan civilians to terrorist attacks almost five years after a pro-American government was installed. Attacks in central Kabul have been rare in comparison to areas on the edge of the city and in the country's south.

Taliban-led militants have increasingly adopted tactics reminiscent of insurgents in Iraq, including suicide attacks.
U.S. military spokesman Col. Tom Collins said Sunday that a suicide bombing cell is operating in Kabul with the aim of targeting foreign troops.
Collins said he couldn't give further details about the suicide bombing cell, but said it was still working and "remains very much a threat."
"Through our intelligence sources we know there's a cell here in Kabul, at least one, whose primary mission is to seek coalition or international troops and hit them with suicide bombs," he said at a news conference.

Ofcourse it was a mistake for the childrens to ask this particular question...they get a whack for their troubles and sent back to bed crying....
and the dog is sent out " get out walter!"....and the TV is switched off while all the womens calm down.

if you are talking about burning their crop which I assume you are referring to is OPIUM. They I agree it should be burned. Opium and drugs derived from opium have caused much death and poverty to those who use it. It would be wiser to grow healty crops which feed people, while not making them a slave to the pusherman.
The opium growers use the money they make to buy weapons and explosives which are in turn provided to the terrorists who are killing their own people.

Maybe you beat your children and send them to bed for asking where their father is (where is he again?), or at least maybe you would do that if you were who you say you are; but we treat our children with love and devotion. Especially children whose parents were senselessly murdered. Children are not cannon-fodder to be sent out as suicide bombers, they are our most precious gift that we would protect with our lives. That sort of compassion for family, neighbors, and others comes from our religious heritage, which is rooted in Judeo-Christianity. I say that proudly as an atheist.

Yesterday, the jihadists blew up the governor of one of the provinces of Afghanistan. Today, in an commonplace act typical of valiant Islamic freedom fighters, they blew up people attending the funeral for the victims of yesterday's bombing.
They didn't learn these techniques from us. They didn't just start using them recently, say in the last few hundred years. They don't just use these techniques against non-Muslims. They don't treat their own places of worship, or their own religious services, or their own religious holidays, with any respect or the slightest shred of dignity. Why should we?

Naseem, I hope you're working overtime to package up a bunch of writings. Pakistan is going to shut down access to sites like this very soon. When it does you'll loose contact with us, the only people who listen to what you say.

A word of warning too, when your President Musharraf is assassinated and the new Islamic Theocracy of Pakistan comes to the power... protect yourself. It will be the end of your nation as you know it. Take precautions. Stock up on water and foodstuffs. Make sure you have a safe place under ground and something to keep you occupied for two weeks.
I'm sure if you're really in Pakistan and are who you say you are, we won't be able to communicate with you very soon. Take that time under the ground to think about life and consider some alternatives. Free your self in mind if nothing else.
