As promised in last week's Publishers Weekly interview with me, this week's issue contains "a contrasting view of Muhammad and Islam," courtesy of Amir Hussain, author of a new introduction to Islam intended for a Christian audience, entitled Oil & Water: Two Faiths, One God.
RBL: What do you have to say about author Robert Spencer's assertion (RBL Q&A Sept. 6) that Muhammad founded the world’s most intolerant religion?Hussain: The Muhammad that he describes is not my Muhammad.
Very well. But the Muhammad I describe is the Muhammad of the earliest biographers of the Prophet of Islam: Ibn Ishaq and Ibn Sa'd, as well as of the hadith collections Bukhari and Muslim, which Muslims generally consider most reliable. So if Amir Hussain's Muhammad is not this Muhammad, from where is he drawing his information?
RBL: Do you think he faces danger in writing a biography of Muhammad? And do you, in writing this book, put yourself in peril?Hussain: If the book puts me in peril, it’s only because it puts me in touch with a larger audience. I think there might be people that are offended by the portrayal Spencer makes of Muhammad. Is there danger? Yes, there is. Will it happen? Probably not in North America.
I appreciate Amir Hussain's concern, and invite him to undertake large-scale efforts to convince his coreligionists that his benign picture of Muhammad is the accurate one, and that it is imperative for the survival of civilization itself that criticism even of Muhammad and Islam be allowed with no violent response.

GOOD LUCK! Muslims can dish it out, but they can't take it. If there was ever a time for Muslims to speak out against violence, it is now!
Shooting a nun in the back? Burning down churches? Threatening the Pope's life? Threatening all Christians (do they even realize that Protestants and Eastern Orthodox don't follow the Roman Catholic Pope.) Doesn't matter, they want their religious war, and they'll continue to look like giant asses until they get it... and then they are crushed.
Grow the "F***" up.
Robert:
None of these clowns would get away with that in a real debate with you of 30 minutes to an hour. Just about all these Islamic dissemblers would crumple. The best you can say about them is they lie by omission, not commission
"The Muhammad that he describes is not my Muhammad"
the god that you worship is not god either.
Adam Gadahn (Pearlman) described as Sheik Haw Haw or"Azzam the American" has been spotted in Pakistan and yet the Pakistanis say that they are pursuing him, I say BS because they have given several excuses when the area he has been seen has been pointed out to them; such as that area is to dangerous to go into at this time; same lame excuse for Usama Bin Laden as well. but Gadahn has actually been seen on city streets.
Gadahn is Charged with aiding terrorists in a secret federal indictment which should also include treason.

Muslims believe in the old adage, " If you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth".
The world is beginning to do a better job at seeing through all the bull. It is becoming easier to see the lies, and it is becoming easier to see who is lying.
Debunking anyone who spouts off with the typical Muslim soft cell should be the job of everyone.
Equal but opposite statements from the same man minutes apart:
It's really all about deception and word games isn't it?
"How dare you say we're not peaceful, now we're upset!"
P.S. Most of the "polls" out there have to do with asking people what their perception of Islam is, rather than actually asking Muslims how ready they are to use force.
Daniel long away said:
The iron, as many Bible teachers tell us, refers to the Roman Empire. What is the clay? What is the entity that is fundamentally at odds with the West (descendents of Roman Empire)?
Indeed, Muslims have mingled themselves among the people of this world. And they don't mix well.
What About The Roman Empire?

The problem with this kind of mind is a fear of objective fact, it has to displace fear-hostility to the person who questions their fantasy. They fear even discussion of the issue because the truth so painful.
Alexander Solzenitzen was considered anti-Soviet and was called numerous names when he questioned the Soviet fantasies. They would have killed him if he had not been able to flee to the US. The Soviet leaders and their apologists simply could not handle the facts and the painful truth that the USSR was not a worker's paradise, that the Soviet system destroyed creativity and caused everyone to have to lie to keep it going. Anyone who pointed to the facts in the old USSR was in great danger.
