Visiting any Jewish cemetery in east London has been practically by appointment for a long time.
Strangely the vandalism at the Christian cemetery where my parents are buried ceased when this mosque opened nearby, to be replaced by the first anti jewish graffiti I had even seen locally.
Muslims attack Jews in Britain, the media reports it, they leave out the fact that the Muslims were involved and for the main part the British media lead the reader and viewer to assume that white supremacists were involved. The majority of the British media will stop at nothing to protect the Muslim community from the consequences of it's own actions.
We, in England, have lived along side the Jewish community for hundreds of years. Admittedly there have been some occasional antisemitic acts commited, usually by uneducated English thicko's, but nothing that has raised severe tensions. On the other hand, the Muslims have been here in numbers for a very short time but I, for one, am absolutely sick and tired of hearing about them. Every day, in the newspapers, the television and radio there is always reports of trouble, terrorism, Islam as a victim or some loony left winger telling us that Islam is misunderstood. I wish beyond hope that they would all just pack their bags and leave. It should be obvious to all that they cannot live with anyone else or, indeed, with their own.
These are the same sort of feelings I have from my visits to England and well as the opinions of numerous Jewish British relatives and friends.
By the way, this year mark the 350th anniversary of the "readmittance" of Jews to England, after their expulsion over 350 years earlier, by Edward I, in 1290.

Anti-Semitic attacks are to be expected from the Muslim community as Jew hatred is part of their poisonous ideology. Of more concern is what appears to be a vicious reaction from indigenous white Britons who are brainwashed by the media into an intense hatred of Israel( and by association, Jews) and spurred into acting this out. It looks like another descent into barbarism and another case of history repeating itself. Although, as Orwell points out in the article posted above, Anti-Semitism has always been there.

Some of us are still awake as to what is going on. I am, quite frankly, horrified by this report. I have Jewish relatives - as many in the UK do - and I really, really wish that we should all stand up and say that anti-Semitic behaviour is completely unacceptable. I do hope that the preponderant number of offenders are moslem and I really hope that real British people are not heavily involved in this sort of stupidity.

The way the UK broadcast media reported the war in Lebanon could have been designed to whip up anger against Jews: almost always leading with the number of civilians killed by Israeli action that day (complete with heart rending visuals, usually involving children),and unconcealed disapproval of Israeli destruction of Lebanese buildings and infrastructure.All this created a sense of disapproval among the ordinary public but I can only guess what effect it had on the Muslim community: one in the habit of getting enraged at the drop of a hat.

What is it about the BBC that they keep forgetting: First comes .. First ...! This headline implies the attacks are 'counter-attacks' It would be bloated nonsense if it were not, in fact, evil.
A more accurate headline would be: "Islam: Inspired by Latest Unprovoked Attack Upon Israel Escalates Attacks On Jews in UK."

Dead bodies that you see on the television have been placed there by Hizbollah and usually at the corners of buildings on the ground floor. This includes children too and the toys you see are all new and were placed there amongst the rubble for good effect. I notice their lying tactics work and many Europeans are taken in by these antics.
Remember we dropped over 6,000 bombs, fired over 5,000 missiles and yet the total dead in Lebanon was just over 900 people and of those we know that 650 were Hizbollah fighters and most of the rest were Hizbollah workers.
Some civilians inevitably died as a result and we mourn their unnecessary deaths. Hizbollah only attacked our civilian centers and aimed at our hospitals here in the north, mainly the Nahariya hospital and the Rambam in Haifa. Imagine if we had the same tactics as Hizbollah.
You’d have seen at least 200,000 dead bodies lying there. You all have to remember that we too are fighting Iran and their puppets.

Gary, did you actually stop and think for even a brief instance before you typed that drivel? Is that really the best you can come up with in the way of tired old moral equivalency? Sure it is EXACTLY the same. Or maybe it is EXACTLY the same if we ignore a few small facts such as:
1. Mr. O'Dabhais left Ireland to go fight in a RECOGNIZED armed forces whose government is recognized by both the UK and Ireland. Contrast this to a British-born Muslim who is going to fight under al Qaida, an organization which has been given no authority or right to operate by either Ireland or the UK; an organization which is listed as a terrorist group by both nations.
2. Mr. O'Dabhais is fighting for a force that just so happens to be an ally of both the UK and Ireland. Contrast this to UK born jihadis who are going to Iraq to fight against UK troops. This automatically makes them traitors by any definition of the word.
During WWII, there were a substantial number of Americans, especially fighter pilots, who joined the RAF in order to fight the Nazis before the US had officially entered the war. Using your half-wit logic, these brave volunteers were EXACTLY the same as traitors such as Axis Sally or Tokyo Rose who joined the enemy to fight against their own countrymen.
In the future, you might wish to think through your arguements a little more thoroughly before typing in all caps superlatives such as 'EXACTLY.'
