A DRIVER spent two nights in jail after being accused of "revving his car in a racist manner".Mechanic Ronnie Hutton, 49, yesterday described his court ordeal which finally ended when prosecutors dropped the allegation of racism.
But he was still convicted of a breach of the peace for revving the engine of his £25,000 Lotus.
Witnesses claimed he had been trying to intimidate a Libyan couple on the pavement. Ronnie, of Stirling, claims he was only revving the powerful V8 engine to avoid another £15,000 repair bill.
But off-duty Chief Inspector Eoin Jenkins thought he was targeting Muslim Isam Maigel and his wife Hana Saad.
And when Jenkins, now retired, confronted Ronnie he was told to "f*** off".
On Thursday, at Stirling Sheriff court, the Crown ditched the racist part of the charge but Sheriff Andrew Cubie convicted Ronnie of breach of the peace and fined him £150.
Last night, he said: "To be convicted for revving my car in a busy street is hard to take. Does this mean anyone driving a noisy car in Scotland is now a criminal?"

He said: "I've had problems with the Lotus since I bought it. I paid £15,000 for a new engine in 2003.
"As soon as I started the car the oil pressure light wouldn't go out. I accept I revved the engine - it's a V8 twin turbo and is noisy and frightening.
"I would openly apologise to this couple. I am not a racist."

It probably is a situation where a retired british policeman, (department of revenue employee) was practicing a form of class envy. He has something against an individual driving a Lotus. By traveling with a muslim couple he is able to perpetuate a lot of grevious mischef in the name of Islam.
Another slant perhaps would be that "racist revving" is only noticed by Muslims because they want everyone to ride horseback as did their ancestors?? It's a superiority thing.
Maybe the witness actually thought the couple were frightened because he knew, deep down inside, that Muslims practice a form of stupidity that lends themselves to be easily offended!

This news is a week old. I mentioned it in a posting I did on the 17th concerting Australia. I think I will just repost it as it expresses my feeling and I am sure many of my fellow compatriot.

because a Muslim couple accused him of "revving his car in a racist manner, apparently the revving of the car engine caused them to feel afraid and they felt they were being targeted because they were wearing "ethnic clothing".
The case was dropped due to lack of evidence but Mr Hutton was still charged with "beach of the peace and fined £150.00p.
The complainants, Isam Maigel and Hana Saad said they felt " scared, embarrassed and degraded by the revving engine".
I don't know what is happening but brown lipstick seem to be the preferred shade this year with the Government and its PC minions. Think of the possibilities you child driving his toy pedal car down the street suddenly being arrested by a SWAT team for going brum brum too loudly which had offended the sensitivities of a group of muslims who had just come from loudly picketing the Danish Embassy and demanding the death of all infidels. The mind boggles.

Revving an engine is considered harrasment in the UK? People with sports cars rev their engines all the time at traffic lights or stop signs.

New charges were filed are he complained. This looks like police harrasment more than anything else.
A couple of details that the article didn't mention.
- Did the officer indentify himself as an officer to the driver?
- For the harrasment charge to be valid, how did the driver know they were Muslims?
- Who were the witnesses? Were they Muslim?

The police, it seems, did not agree.
A few weeks after giving the 16-week-old cat a new home two officers swooped on his house accompanied by charity workers to demand he return his new pet.

About 3 years ago a fat white kid about 12 years old was being hassled by a Muslim classmate for being fat. Finally he broke and said something like "Leave me alone you Pa** bastard!"

Which is something like the Federal Attorney. “Aggravated racial assault" something only lawyers understand because you do not actually have to hit the victim to commit it. I think it carries a prison sentence of up to 5 years, maybe someone on JW knows the actual maximum?
It was only a major outcry in the National press that stopped the case. Even then the 12 year old boy who had been facing the stress of a major prosecution for months was not cleared! The details of the incident were placed on file and could be used against him in the event of another offence.
Up to 5 years in prison for a word and you wonder why people in the UK are scared?

I had a 1970 Lotus Elan S2. Didn't have any more problems with it than any other British manufactured car that I know of.
It was great on the back roads of Britain, in the curves and the like. But here in the States, the water temp seemed to be near the red line most of the time...not as cool here as in GB. Could have used a larger radiator but no room for one.
I guess in the States, one really needs a 'Vette. Never had one , though.
It is starting to look like the US Armed Forces will need to invade and liberate GB, and free her people. The PC Think there is too far gone.

I've had several encounters where Muslims at local convenience stores were cold and rude and handed me my change in a cold and dismissive manner. What's next? Can I bring a legal charge for giving change in a (reverse) racist manner? Bottom line is that this is bloody insane. Brit posters need to assure international readers that this occurrence is merely a quirk and not representative of average Brit thinking on the whole (or better yet - DO something about it), or the unfortunate fact is that most of the world isn't going to be too sympathetic when the Brits go down. And why on earth is this Ronnie fellow groveling and debasing himself and publically protesting that he isn't a racist? It stands to reason that if normal westerners keep "protesting too much" in this embarassing manner, the pent up frustration is eventually going to blow like a champagne cork.

Yes I remember the case now it was reported nationally. The Judge asked the police why they had nothing better to do. But did you know that he had his behind kicked for saying it and was ordered to apologise to the police?
Even Judges cannot criticise political correctness now and I don’t think that report went beyond the local papers.
