TORONTO - A Somali-Canadian businessman is a "key player" in an emerging armed Islamic group that some describe as Africa's Taliban, sources have told the National Post.Former Toronto resident Abdullahi Ali Afrah, who goes by the nickname Aspro, holds a senior position in the consultative council of Somalia's hardline Islamic Courts Union.
As second deputy chairman, he reports to Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys, who is on Canadian and United Nations lists of designated terrorists and was a founding member of the outlawed terror group Al-Ittihad Al-Islam (AIAI).
Mr. Ali Afrah is one of several members of the Toronto and Ottawa Somali-Canadian communities who have reportedly returned to their homeland and joined the Islamic Courts, either in leadership and support roles or as fighters in armed militias.
Backed by its militias, the Islamic Courts have captured Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, and much of the south from clan warlords since June, replacing lawlessness with strict Taliban-like rule....

As a Canadian, I can only hope that our officials are aware of the situation concerning Muslims in Canada. Statistics Canada says that there are some 750,000 of them in the country, 165,000 in Toronto alone. It only takes one to create a disaster.
The former ruling Liberal Party of Canada has made sure that they will benefit from massive illegal Muslim and Sikh immigration by having appointed corrupt immigration judges and other officials to oversee refugee claims. Almost all the refugee claimants are fake, but most are granted asylum. This has led to a deluge of dishonest refugees who are a tremendous economic and security burden on Canadians. Honest immigrants are also upset with this policy.

A few days ago Robert Spencer's The Truth about Muhammad was #39 on the Amazon bestseller list. Not bad at all. And now it's #34.
When I lived in Canada it was well-known Somalis were some of the worst welfare cheats and bogus refugees. They invented scams with multiple identities, collecting welfare for each identity, and sending a lot of the money back home to fund the warlords.
One of the famous ones was some warlord's wife who apparently "fled" the dangers of Somalia but didn't find it so dangerous to return every year or so, and come back pregnant. I don't know how many of this parasite's kids we ended up supporting, but it was infuriating to see that nothing was done about her.
They should all go back to their Islamic wonderland, and give Canadians a break from their incessant mewling and demands for special status and unearned money.
Of course, if things aren't all peachy back in Somalistan and they get injured in fighting, they'll run back to Canada and demand their "rights" as Canadian citizens - free medical care.
