Captured Taleban say they were sent to fight by Pakistani mullahs

Friend and Ally Update from AFP:

BARMAL, Afghanistan - Handcuffed and weary, three confessed Taleban fighters told this week how they crossed into Afghanistan from Pakistan to carry out a “jihad” against troops after mullahs said it was their duty as Muslims.

The young men — two Pakistanis and an Afghan — were captured after a fierce five-hour battle in Paktika province Tuesday, just a few kilometres (miles) from the border.

During the battle, 24 of their fellow fighters were killed. The bloodied and broken bodies were later shown to reporters by the Afghan army at a base in Barmal district.

The dead were mostly Afghans but included an Arab, Chechens, Pakistanis, Turks and a man from Yemen, an officer said, citing information from the captured three, identity cards and, in one case, a name on a bullet belt.

Mullahs in Pakistan were preaching to us that we are obliged to fight jihad in Afghanistan because there are foreign troops — there is an Angriz (British) invasion,” dishevelled Alahuddin told reporters....

The government of Pakistan does something, a little something, but with a great show for its American benefactors, in this or that part of Pakistan. At the same time, it makes deals and then misrepresents those deals, with supporters of the Taliban in Waziristan. Meanwhile, in the cities of Pakistan, including Quetta, the Taliban and its Pakistani supporters (the Taliban owes its existence to Pakistan; it was in the madrasas in Pakistan that each little Talib once studied, and then, properly enthused, moved back in small groups to Afghanistan in the early 1990s, after the Soviet army had been defeated, in order to established Peace on Earth and Good Will Toward All Those Willing to Abide by the Strictest Shari'a, and for the rest -- death.

Pakistan is not an "ally" much less a "staunch ally." It cannot be. It cannot be because of the tenets of Islam and because the population is overwhelmingly deeply and truly and disturbingly Muslim. It cannot be no matter what the smoothest and most plausible of generals (Musharraf, for a while) or the zamindars (Pinky Bhutto and the anglophone children of the elite, who in private schools and colleges in the West are good at winning over first their innocent roommates, then the rest of the students, and then of course the faculty and administrators eager to be fooled about Pakistan, and about Islam).

Meanwhile, the Pakistanis who happen to have acquired, through birth or naturalization procedures, English citizenship (this is not the same thing as being "English"), but who possess not a "dual loyalty" (that might be manageable) but rather a "single loyalty" and that loyalty is only to Islam, continue to move freely about the cabin of the world, and especially in the First-Class Compartment of the West to which, unaccountably, they have been allowed to make themselves at home.

Billions of dollars in debt relief, billions in further economic aid, and even billions in military aid (Pakistan was always a favorite of American generals -- those rectitudinous terry-thomas-moustached generals, that business of "Islam is a bulwark against Communism" that was all ye knew on earth, and all ye needed to know). Taliban upraised in Islam and in terror live freely in Pakistan -- from all kinds of places -- live untouched in Pakistan and return, at will, to Afghanistan. Other terrorists raiseed in Pakistan have over a much longer period persecuted non-Muslims in Jammu-Kashmir, forcing the mass exodus, for example, of 400,000 Kashmiri pandits, and murdering Hindu villagers. And still other Pakistani terrorists raised and trained and supported within Pakistan, sometimes by the intelligence service of the Pakistani military, or I.S.I., an entirely sinister group that also elped support and now protects A. Q. Khan, have over the years attacked deep within India, in Mumbai twice with hundreds of casualties, and in Delhi (the Parliament building) and elsewhere -- so many of the attacks until recently going unreported outside India, and seldom paid attention to.

That is Pakistan. How long will Pakistan receive American aid -- again, a disguised Jizyah whenever Infidels give payments to Muslims, payments that the Muslims take as by right and that the Infidels give as by fearful duty? Bush and Co. can swagger all they want, but their timidity, their lack of imagination, their obstinacy in a clumsy course that does not recognize the need and possibliity of dividing and demoralizing the Camp of Islam, infuriates more and more, as more and more innocent and well-meaning American soldiers pay with their lives for that obstinacy, that lack of imagination, that timidity, that stupidity, that Baby-Huey approach based on unrectified ignorance of Islam.

They will be made to sit in the corner, wearing their dunce-caps, soon. But not soon enough.

Afghanistan, Pakistan-what's the difference? Might as well call the whole rotten area Talibanastan since they're obviously in bed together. Once the Taliban decides to swallow Pakistan there really won't be much difference. And Hugh is right-how much longer will we have to fund those fakers in Islamabad to "fight" the Taliban? Getting rid of that cancer is proving impossible as long as Pakistan supposedly "fights" them.

What difference does it make where they come from, or from what mullah tells them to go and kill. you see it from the somalies going back to kill for allah. for once l totally agree with Hugh, no more aid to any muslim country. let them get their money from the oil rich muslims. you hear so much of how muslims 's islam share there generoisty, well the stupid poor muslims need to look at their own rich relatives, let them kill those for their allah.

Would think that if Musharaf has made a separate peace with Waziristan, and no Pak troops are there deployed, then the region is open to NATO for a variation of the doctrine of 'hot pursuit'.

Hugh, brilliant as you are, one can not seriously dispute the excellance of the Bush action in getting us into Iraq, and despite the media and the hate America crowd's chants, winning that war.

It is a proper and necessary use of American military might. Lives are not being wasted. Any alternative, unless properly engineered, would be intolerable.

The issue is the next move, before or while taking out the mullahs.

One area, in keeping with your divide and depress scenario which can be exlored, is support for a Kurdish nationalist movement which would pressure not only the rest of Iraq, but also Iran with its indiginous Kurdish populations, and Turkey, which also has a substantial Kurdish populated area.

Unfortunately it is the Dems who oppose realpolitik, like that fool Jimmy Carter and the appeasers (Albright, Berger, Clinton) who believe that "if we could only sit down and talk with these people" - suicidal stupity.

So, among the jihadists they were some turks or what some people in Europe claim "europeans"!!! Let the turks in Europe!!! Oh, what a shame!!! These people tried to be "Europeans" so hard!!! They conquered Greece and all of the Balkans, but all these Christians were mean to them because they didn't suicide in order to make the turks more happy and more than that, they didn't fleed and didn't changed to muslims. But then, the turks went to Vienna with good intentions like spreading Islam and death to the infidels! They knocked the door (Gate) once,twice...but no responce (no,no, who said that they brought an army with them!!!!)! They cried so much outside of the gate! Nobody played with them. Once again the Europeans were mean to them, again because they didn't suicide and they didn't paved the way for the turks to march straight into Central Europe! Oh, mean Europeans, why you did all these terrible things to the good turks???? Why you don't let them in the European Union??? They'll bring some cool gifts with them and one of them is "jihad" or something like that!!! Another is called "honour killing" and another called "who wants to kill an infidel"!!! Oh, and don't forget, they'll bring their super civilization with them, which is based on filthy kebab, on no hygene and pissing and shitin' anywere they can!!! Don't you listen??? They are crying because you don't play with'em!!! They are ready to play, and ,oh yes, they are going to have a nice time kicking our heads after decapitating us!!!

SO EUROPE,ARE YOU READY TO ACCEPT THESE HUMAN-EATING SUPERNATURAL COCKROACHES CALLED TURKS?????????????

The Armenian and Greek (native and conquerer) populations had somewhere to go (the ones that didn't got slain) when they were forced out of Anatolia by the kind turks! BUT WHAT ABOUT MODERN EUROPE??? WHERE ARE WE GOING TO FLEE IN ORDER TO SAVE OUR LIFES AND OUR CIVILIZATION??? WE WILL BE SLAIN TO THE LAST!!!

OH I MEANT THIS

The Armenian and Greek (native and NOT conquerors) populations

MEANING THAT THE TURKS WERE CONQUERORS OF ANATOLIA AND NOT NATIVE AS THE ARMENIANS & GREEKS

SORRY FOR THAT :-)

Hugh

Would you agree that the best thing that could happen would be the overthrow of the current "pro-western" dictatorship to be replaced by the more natural, for pakistan , Islamic dictatorship.
I could forsee that this would bring to a head our relationship with said dictatorship with the inevitable and welcome military destruction of said dictatorship by the west with the use of overwhelming force.
rather than the pathetcx sham of a situation that currently exists and benifits only our muslim brothers.

What a rogues gallery in Afghanistan-scum from everywhere. Since these lunatics are terrorists and presumably are not fighting for their home countries does that mean they technically renounce citizenship and are stateless? If so, why should they have any rights under international law? No need to capture them then-just wipe them out and if you do capture any of these losers feel free to do what you want with them.

"[...] there is an Angriz (British) invasion," dishevelled Alahuddin told reporters....

Hey, look: Engrish is spoken in Central Asia too! This occupation not support, but we devoutly hope you will please from your sojourn.

(glin)

The outlook is a very stark point of view:

We will have to kill a lot of them.

Because they want to die, and we want to live.

Imams are leading their sheep to the slaughter. These guys should have said HELL NO, I WON'T GO!
Or," I'll follow YOU there".

I'm sure the imams would have slaughtered them on the spot if they refused. Hmmm...oh well.

Those imams are a bunch of cowards. Hardly any of them will go out there with a gun and do some fighting. Instead they get gullible idiots to kill for them. If those fools came to their senses there'd be a lot of dead imams, mule-ahs or whatever the hell those bastards are called. That would be a major blow to Islamania.

The Western countries need to look to their own survival, and try and fix major problems that hinder a sane approach to the enemy of Islam -- a point of no return looms with Islamic influence.
Here's one that needs tending to:
A free press should also mean a press uninfluenced by foreign intimidation and investment from hostile ideology and religion.
I recall a CNN reporter called himself 'citizen of the world' rather than cooperate with American officials after leaving Iraq in the first Iraq war.

It's giving that person who would fight against this enemy of Islam voice that's the trick. One sees very little criticism of Islam from the major networks -- Spencer has mountains of material to add his comments to but when will we see such expressions from Fox, ABC, NBC, etc.
In addition, all major news organizations that have reader threads on current issues haven't permited much anti - Islamic rhetoric or comments at least for long -- ABC news, in fact, will ban anyone who says negative things of Islam. Even many large Republican websites have a 'don't insult religion' policy where any criticism of Islam will be rewarded with a ban quickly.
My local newspaper also not only didn't print the Danish cartoons but also hasn't printed negative reader remarks about Islam till recently, and only on the heels of a big story.
Only a few of the major editorialists actually give Islam any negative attention, Malkan, Charon, Coulter, Buchanan and some off them are nuts -- most others compromise shamelessly -- even that mouthy OReilly on the No Spin Zone with Fox hasn't either the brains or guts to say Islam has a problem --even though he claims he's on a hit list from Al Qaeda.. And Hannity isn't much better. It makes me wonder who the major shareholders are.
An anti-Muslim politician would have to hold his cards very close -- it would at this point be luck to see a major politician stand up and say Islam is the problem after election -- and a miracle if he actually succeded in doing anything.

Boy, have times changed for the worse thanks to PC. I've been listening to some old airchecks from radio stations going back to the Vietnam era. Most network newscasts (including ABC) kept referring to the North Vietnamese as "the enemy".
Looks like today we have no enemy-we just kill for fun and because we're just plain mean to the "peaceful" ones.

Of course we can't just dismiss Pakistan, a country of over 135 million inhabitants, a country that has been nuclear for almost 20 years now thanks to AQ Kahn who got his training in Germany and stole much of his nuclear ability from a highly (???)secured company in the Netherlands. Pakistan conducted 6 underground nuclear explosions in 1998, claiming 25 to 35 kilotons of nuclear power. Nuclear watch dogs have confirmed that those tests reached at least 12 kilotons in nuclear energy produced. There in lies the problem when a country becomes nuclear you are somewhat forced to work with them be it Iran, and North Korea as well.

One of the other alternatives of course is to attack their nuclear systems as did Israel's 1981 raid on Iraq's Osirak nuclear installation..

Yes the US ,and the western powers have to deal with these countries' that have acquired Nuclear weapons either through diplomacy (call it appeasement if you like) as well as,sanctions, or lastly militarily.

Unfortunately it is a continous and somewhat delicate chess game that we are almost forced into playing. We are going to find us playing this game more and more with Iran as well.

Of course we can't just dismiss Pakistan, a country of over 135 million inhabitants, a country that has been nuclear for almost 20 years now thanks to AQ Kahn

Yea but it's quite another to capitulate to this game of theirs with appeasment
It's meaningless to me to talk about how many people they have --what's with that remark anyway? Yea, there's bunches of 'em as every Muslim I've heard loves to remind us;1.5 billion total Muslims, and scads of 'em are in Pakistan; almost all, largly militant Islamic and anti-Western.
Perhaps it more meaningful to talk about how many people they have in the USA and Europe.
More meaningful to talk about the deals Musharaff has made with the Taliban and the harboring of the Al Qaeda leadership. Where his nukes might be and can we live with the possibility we might not get them all in a first strike.
More meaningful to address the fact that we are at war with Islam.

Court1:

Certainly all options are continiously researched and are always on the table. The demographics (they do matter) of these countries are researched by the State Department at ad nauseam 24 hours a day, thus the chess game in which we continiously weigh the options of what the next move will bring.

I just don't share your optimism.

Chess game of sorts it might be -- but, clearly Bush has moved his queen (the USA) into jeapardy without realizing taking pawns means nothing in the game it's about getting the King ( between Islam's return and assured influence and presence throughout the world or the continued progress of Wetern civilization).
It may be a soothing mantra to talk of such dutiful machinations at the highest levels of of our government, but since 9/11 Islam is stronger not weaker and Bush and the government have allowed that -- and, Im not talking about or even complaining of the so-called 'terrorist' factory in Iraq -- but a policy that thinks Islam can be managed with the focus on a handful of individuals ... pawns if you will.

Reading some of the above posts reminded me of how Turks, who were BORN AND RAISED in Germany, went off to Chechnya to fight Russians for their "brothers in faith"

Germany better be very careful.. if she decides to give Citizenship to turds.. er.. turks.. and then they go off to fight Russia..

I am German [a REAL one] and I'd have to say that I couldn't argue the point if Russia were to consider such hostile acts as an Act of War. So Germany better watch out what she allows these turds to do under the cover of Citizenship?

Do we really want to risk a confrontation with Russia??

German politicians!!! You better know what you are doing!! The German People do NOT want Russia antagonized or attacked by people who cynically acquire OUR CITIZENSHIP!! Next thing they cry they are GERMAN when the Russians capture them.

Please let all Russians know these muftis are NO GERMANS and I HOPE the Russians feel free in doing with them as they see fit!

First off.. O'Reilly's show should be called by its real name: "The NO SPINE Zone".

I'too think there is too much arab/mufti money in our politics and media, effectively undermining what Freedom of the Press we have when all the press is part of the Liberal Democrat Complex. Europe is even worse! Truly disgusting!

Let's analyze the stranglehold these leftist bastards have on our media, education and the courts..

Socialism just like its Big Brother, Communism, is based on The Collective "The Hive". Thus it attracts the "consensus-builders", teh warm-and-fuzzy types who get on student councils and all those lovely groups while the rugged individualists go off and do their own thing and often seek out places other than the classroom.

Others join varsities and get active in sports. The lefty students find a nurturing environemnt amnong a vast majority of the teaching staff of course - since they have so many shared inclinations!

The lefty-pinks harbor a deep resentment toward both the athletes as well as the lone wolf types who as I said go off and do things outside of the hive that they call high school. I know. I started and ran a successful business the last two years of high school and I drove a better car than most of my teachers. WHICH I BOUGHT WITH MY OWN MONEY!!!! NOT a DIME came from parents or other family!! Leave it to teachers to make sarcastic comments about what wheels students have! I had no idea how that is part of any curriculum. But then I forgot how I violated ther Rules of the Hive by standing out - OUTSIDE of the confines of the Hive! AND I kicked major major butt in all languages. They couldn't touch me. This taught me early-on to avoid the "academic types".. the Gunter Grass worshippers. And we all know how that played out recently. from the Nazi Hive to the Sozi Hive.. And next the moslem hive??

These are the folks who cry all day about "social justice" and they sit and debate and read Arundhati Roy while others go out and bust butt for a living!! They get scholarships to "prestigious" institutions from which they emerge with an innate sense of superiority and the Righteousness of their opinions. Then they get into politics and they TAX us!! Not only in the form of politicians but also as "civil and human rights" lawyers and activists... They campaign for publicly funded "affordable housin' [sic]". PAID FOR BY WHOM??! They do whatever they can to hamstring business. You are considered borderline anti-socialist by being in business for **YOUR**SELF**.

We who are too busy to "get involved" get screwed in the process. I am delinquent to my business right now by posting this lengthy one! So I am a bit in a rush and I am not paying the most attention to eloquence [or spelling and punctuation] as much as I am trying to get my point across.

We are probably the majority not just in the USA, but there is a reason it's called the SILENT MAJORITY!

WE ARE TOO DAMN TIRED TO SPEAK UP AFTER A LONG HARD DAY AT WORK!!!

SO THANK YOU TO ROBERT AND HUGH AND A FEW OF THE OTHER BLOGS FOR SPEAKING UP AND GETTING OUT THERE FOR ALL OF US!!

Most of the anti-fascists here are by nature not easy to organize and get under one hat - we are not anti-social by any means but we don't waste time with fools that are beneath us - politicians, "journalists" and soft-spoken languid talk-show hosts on NPR who go begging for funds while they receive government money already!!

Get a J.O.B., boys and run an internet radio if you are so committed to socialism!! but don't ask MY MONEY so you can have endless discussions about "human rights" for terrorists.. oh, the tears they cry about "profiling" and "bigotry"!!

I'd like to have the airwaves to spew my opeinions 24/7 + 365 too but I'd never think of asking Lieberals to pay for my privilege!

Anyay.. if you're still with me.. Libs and Sozis and multikultis and muftikultis [hehe] are by nature more "social-ist" than the kind of people who see so clearly the threat posed by pigslam. The VERY NATURE of the socialist draws them into the arts and humanities.. see Hollywood.. legal professions and naturally education [mind-shaping or bending ?]. They become judges and the vote down things like prop 82 in California years ago.. THEY KNOW BETTER THAN THE VOTING PUBLIC!! Yes, they DO!! The Supreme court voted to give terrorists "rights" as if they were AMERICANS!!! At least I can say not every German truly wished to fight in WW2 yet all were accountable as a nation! Thus nations developed the Geneva Conventions IN ORDER TO REGULATE CONFLICTS BETWEEN NATIONS!!!

The Highest Court of this country decided to equate stateless groups of individuals with Nation-states!! What IGNORANCE of LOGIC!!! IT is truly scary that these are the types who make the decisions around here!! The Geneva Conventions are meant to regulate treatment of P.O.W.s in case of armed conflict BETWEEN SIGNOR PARTIES ONLY!!! The taleban and terrorists all over DO NOT TREAT OUR PERSONNELL by any such conventions.. they cut heads and mutilate CIVILIANS JUST AS THEY do to military personnell!!!

To the mulitkultis our military represents the jocks they used to hate in school and now they realize their chance to lord it over them.. send 'em in harm's way with hands tied behind their backs. HOW MANY TIMES do I have to listen to NPR [taleban Rose] and BBC [the voice of the enemy] going on about "misconduct" by our troops and the BIG BAD ISRAELIS, of course!! It's a SAD world where Amercian Jews can sit in the COMFORT of a recording studio AND SAY ***ONE WORD*** about ISRAEL??!!! WHAT is GOING ON??!! if it weren't for ISRAEL, my friends.. Jews would have no nation of their own should they ever really need it! Besides.. ISRAEL is NOT the OPRESSOR!! You hate them because they KICKED ASS against ALL ODDS.. they prevailed and built the shining City on the dusty Hill.. They have NO OIL and they prosper by their ingenuity and the sweat of their labor. WHILE they are under constant attack!

Once again, the pattern is clear... do for yourself and do well.. the LIBS will hate you and drag you down. They will hamstring you and put you in harm's way.. all the while they act as your moral superiors. I just CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!

Do you think ted Kennedy wants illegal aliens anywhere near him - unless they are mowing his lawn in Hyannisport??!! Yet he intones: "somos todos eemeegrantes". [nothing againstr LEGAL immigrants - I am one of them] This man KILLED someone by drunken negligence and never owned up to it! Who is he to lecture our troops!!!

G*d damnit - it all seems LOST!!! Where can one go and live in peace and be LEFT ALONE??!! A place where they have no sozis and multikultis minding my business for me?! A place without muftikultis and islamo-fascists trying to influence my surrounding culture and laws against my way of life!! Where can someone like me go anymore? I got out of Germany long ago because it was to socialist for me even then! Now I am in the USA and it's about to have Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House! lord have Mercy!! C. Rangel as Chairman of Ways and Means!! Where do I go?!

I am sorry for this long and rambling post. I am not even sure I made my point clearly. I'd need to reread and organize and edit which I don't have time for. i am not an academic who gets paid for blathering on.

PS. Now they are discussing claims by Libya against the USA.. Leonard Lopate so inquisitive and sensitive aout Hamas and the "Palestinian Government" - G*D I can't take it!!!

GOOD GRIEF!!!!

Hugh, brilliant as you are, one can not seriously dispute the excellance of the Bush action in getting us into Iraq, and despite the media and the hate America crowd's chants, winning that war.

War right or wrong, but bush and excellance in the same sentence?

Yep. That's how bin laden got out. I remember US pilots had these planes in their crosshairs and they were ORDERED *NOT* to engage! I read several of their accounts and these airmen were filled with resigned frustration at being stabbed in the back by their own.. having to WITNESS with their own eyes as the enemy slipped away to safety.

HOW SHALL WE WIN THIS WAR IF WE DON'T EVEN ALLOW OUR TROOPS TO FIGHT AS THEY SEE FIT ON THE BATTLEFIELD??!!!

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!
yes, I've had a coupla cups of coffee.

The Commander in Chief, is stupid as it turns out; and our troops were betrayed by their commander -- the American people by their president.
Even before that he stood with simpering mullahs and declared Islam to be a 'peacful religion', I think he even used the term 'honorable' too. That in itself wouldn't have been stupid --just grossly ignorant.
Trouble is, he hasn't changed that tune nor evidently learned a thing in over 5 years -- now that's stupid.
Didn't he say the Dubai port deal rejection would be sending the wrong message?
Well, to be be fair he did use the word 'caliphate' recently.

Before I go..

I just figured out why it's in the International Socialist Collective's interests in creating "international institutions".

It's pure and simply a POWER GRAB. REMOVE the rulers from the voters.

THE EUroCracy will decide what's best fro Greeks and Gemans and Spaniards alike.. as different as the conditions - and attitudes - may be within these and the other countries!

They decide what it GOOD FOR ALL OF US. WE are racist islamophobes so NO REFERENDUM on the turkish Trolan Horse on coming to the EU. International courts in Belgium to "indict" CIA agents??!!

Who the hell put these "international judges" in office in the first place??!! They are there, I am certain, not via the vote!!

Liberals and multikultis establish these "institutions" under cloak and dagger and all of a sudden - boom - a HERO like Oriana Falacci stands trial for speaking out agains pislam - IN HER OWN D*AMN COUNTRY - NOT IN SOWdi arabia or Pakiland even!! She was put on trial in Bella Italia!!! Too bad she passed before this could play out. I was looking forward to her turning ther tables on these petit-fascisti for turning on their OWN as they have!!

Try Commander-in-Thief

The politicians of today are a wretched lot regardless of party.

Court1:

I did not note any optimism in my comment to you.

No doubt there are good people working diligently; but if their work is supressed by counter productive policies then it's for nothing -- at least till we can get a president who recognizes Islam's greater intentions and a congress and senate willing to say Islam is itself the problem that must be confronted, if not the enemy itself.
This current route will be far bloodier in the end. Pakistan will likely come to be a grevious threat given the current policy, if only as a potential supplier of nukes to independent contractors.

Patriot8:

You're getting delusional and should get back on your medication, especially given your handle misnomer and your dissing my post to suggest I have changed my sex, and that I am Laura Bush.

G.W. is far better than any lefty alternative, and your understanding of geopolitics and winning could use some attention.

Pakistan and their "secret service agency" ISI have been "part of the problem" for so long now that I cannot believe that the USG are so blind as to supply arms and aid to these people.

The repeated terrorist attacks using the Kasmir/Jammu debate as a cover story have gone so far beyond "state sponsored terrorism" that it is an open joke in India itself.

Moslems and Hindus are both well aware of the role of PAK-ISI sposored terrorism - and the poor Kashmiris are really fed up with the conflict because they can't earn a living and spend 6-9 months away from their families working in India selling stuff to tourists.

Meanwhile I've sat in a room (in Mysore) with "ordinary Indians" watching a cricket match between India and Pakistan without any hint of communal enmity - the whole conversation was mostly cricket with members of both community cheered and clapped good play by both sides.

So is the problem with the "normal Indians" -because most of the so-called Moslems in India are far more secularised than you would think - or an enemy who uses the porous borders to inflict terroist actions and encourage others to wage Jihad on their behalf?

Don't get me wrong - I'm not coming out in favour of the "tiny minority of Moslems" theory - its just that I've met far more secular Moslems in India (who are not interested in Jihad or Islam, and who enjoy the benefits and freedoms that living in India bring them) - than fundamentalists of any other religion.

They aren't keen on Jihad either - but most of them are working class and have no power.

So my 1st question is this:

How can we help working class secular Moslems to gain power over the Jihadis?

My 2nd:

Should we bother?

I forgot to mention:

Kashmir - they want it back and it didn't belong to them to start with ...

I am sorry for this long and rambling post. I am not even sure I made my point clearly.

Don't worry about it.......... your feelings are understandable. Besides you are not alone.

Yep.. treason plain and simple. WHAT court can I bring charges in? Maybe I should try the Hague..

A scorched earth (Biblical Justice) policy is going to be needed. One which would make Sherman's March look like a parade when compared...

Let's teach them what a good ol' fashioned Southern BBQ is all about!

G.W. is far better than any lefty alternative, and your understanding of geopolitics and winning could use some attention.

Sorry dgene, but saying W is better than WHAT is NOT the answer. This current two-party system is designed to protect and perpetrate the Status Quo.

The skirmishes you see presently between the Aristocats and the Dhimmicrats are for SHOW ONLY!! Making us believe that every vote counts! When we all know that it's the lobby Dollar that counts.

All this inter-party rasslin' and posturing is to whip the foot soldiers into formation so they don't get distracted and start to think on their own too much.

One recent poster made and excellent observation when s/he said that our next great leader will in fact emerge from among the servicemen presently in the battlefield. A leader who will have been in REAL contact with pigslam and ALL THAT IT IMPLIES!! A leader who won't have had his daily dose of NewSoma by the likes of abcnnbcbs and nprpBS.. Hehe.. public B*llsh*t System!

I consider this lack of direct media exposure a form of REALITY DETOX and I see this poster's wisdom when s/he says that this person will be ewquipped to DO THE RIGHT THING.. DO WHAT MUST BE DONE to defeat this insipid slithering enemy!

Off to Camp Gitmo to fatten 'em up on three squares a day.. shrinkwrapped "Mein korans" for each of them, but of course, Monsieur teleban! An army of ACLU lawyers vous attend.

The United States Supreme Court will make sure your RIGHTS are scrupulously safeguarded. Les medecins sans frontiers will make 'bien sûr' that your physical wellbeing is taken care of.

And we know about Lawyers without borders...

G.W. is far better than any lefty alternative, and your understanding of geopolitics and winning could use some attention.

ya,good old goergie boy..i dont care if its a "lefty"or"righty" alternative.....just as long as its not him.How many billions to "help: the iraqi's?what he done for Americans?

“Mullahs in Pakistan were preaching to us that we are obliged to fight jihad in Afghanistan because there are foreign troops — there is an Angriz (British) invasion,” dishevelled Alahuddin told reporters....

There is indeed an Angriz (British) invasion! The paks packs are invading Britain!!

Forget one moment about what would Jesus say.
I ask what would Winston say?

Are the British obliged to fight jihad to expel the invaders?

I mean what's good for the goose ought to be good for the gander?

Or is the British goose already cooked?

Stand up, Men. And Women too! Be clear what the enemy is doing and what our Fifth Column is doing to assist that enemy. Make no doubt - the Fifht Column is WAY MORE MASSIVE than you may even imagine!

I know it reaches all the way to the top levels of government. On both sides of the pond.

The evidence is there. Clear as water. Bush attacked Iraq because Saddam Hussein demamded oil payments in EUROs, which threatened to have a Domino Effect around the region. The dollar gains much of its power and stability simply by being "currency franca" in international trade. This is one factor which allows the US government to make all these foolish economic decisions without nearly as much repercussions as this would have if any other country did the same thing!

This is what was in jeopardy when Hussein demanded payment in EUROs.. I am suree the SOWdis and other oil fiefdoms thought twice after they saw the example that was made of Iraq.

So W is quite honest when he says it was no war against pigslam.

BUT IT SHOULD BE!! If it had been me after 9/11.. Yes to invading Afghanistan.. NO FLIGHTS out of Tora Bora... bin laden would be certiufiably dead now [though by now he may be anyhow]. Then on to SOWdi arabia who finance all this terror.. and after the election.. IRAN!!

Considering Pakistan came about on land that was India, before the partition, Pakistan is nothing but stolen Indian land.

And not the paks want to put the Indians on a reservation.. Sorry.. couldn't resist.. business is slow and I am faced with doing tax work. At this time I am not so very inclined to feel very good about that. How much of my money will go to the next tsunami relief effort? How much of my money will be used to rebuild moks that are burned down by the various mobs over there?? How much of my money will actually go to good use I ask.

Of course we can't just dismiss Pakistan, a country of over 135 million inhabitants, a country that has been nuclear for almost 20 years now thanks to AQ Kahn who got his training in Germany and stole much of his nuclear ability from a highly (???)secured company in the Netherlands.

The very same Germany I left years ago.. indeed.. there were many students from Iran and other countries of death who were studying nuclear technology. The German press seemed to take pride that we were teaching these wonderful young men from the "underdeveloped world" all our nuclear techno-knowledge. I was quite young at that time and I couldn't help but wonder WHY exactly would we want to teach people from countries that were openly hostile to Israel since before I'd been born.. people who were uardedly hostile toward European countries as well as the US.. waiting in my young mind anyway for the opportunity to treaqt us just like they treatyed Israel.. then came the hijackings of first the EL-AL plane which ended in Entebbe and about six months later the hijacking of a Luftnahse flight, which [with logistical assistance from our Israeli friends] came to a good end in Mogadisciou. All terrorists dead - no hostages harmed We owe Israel a debt of gratitude for this and need for our 'leaders' to express their gratitude a little bit more IN PUBLIC! At the same time I could not understand why these hijackings and even the Munich hostage attack on German soil by the moslems gave no cause for rethinking our generosity in sporeading knowledge about weapons of Mass Destruction to our what I even then considered enemies.

I had to make certain to censor these thoughts, of course. Even a hint of a question was certain to raise accusations of being a racist - or worse - the N-word.. NAZI.

How Bush let the taliban leaders escape from Kunduz

THE GETAWAY
Questions surround a secret Pakistani airlift.

In Afghanistan last November, the Northern Alliance, supported by American Special Forces troops and emboldened by the highly accurate American bombing, forced thousands of Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters to retreat inside the northern hill town of Kunduz. Trapped with them were Pakistani Army officers, intelligence advisers, and volunteers who were fighting alongside the Taliban. (Pakistan had been the Taliban's staunchest military and economic supporter in its long-running war against the Northern Alliance.)

The next day, President Bush said, "We're smoking them out. They're running, and now we're going to bring them to justice."

Even before the siege ended, however, a puzzling series of reports appeared in the Times and in other publications, quoting Northern Alliance officials who claimed that Pakistani airplanes had flown into Kunduz to evacuate the Pakistanis there. American and Pakistani officials refused to confirm the reports. On November 16th, when journalists asked Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld about the reports of rescue aircraft, he was dismissive. "Well, if we see them, we shoot them down," he said. Five days later, Rumsfeld declared, "Any idea that those people should be let loose on any basis at all to leave that country and to go bring terror to other countries and destabilize other countries is unacceptable." At a Pentagon news conference on Monday, November 26th, the day after Kunduz fell, General Richard B. Myers, of the Air Force, who is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was asked about the reports. The General did not directly answer the question but stated, "The runway there is not usable. I mean, there are segments of it that are usable. They're too short for your standard transport aircraft. So we're not sure where the reports are coming from."

Pakistani officials also debunked the rescue reports, and continued to insist, as they had throughout the Afghanistan war, that no Pakistani military personnel were in the country. Anwar Mehmood, the government spokesman, told newsmen at the time that reports of a Pakistani airlift were "total rubbish. Hogwash."

In interviews, however, American intelligence officials and high-ranking military officers said that Pakistanis were indeed flown to safety, in a series of nighttime airlifts that were approved by the Bush Administration. The Americans also said that what was supposed to be a limited evacuation apparently slipped out of control, and, as an unintended consequence, an unknown number of Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters managed to join in the exodus. "Dirt got through the screen," a senior intelligence official told me. Last week, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld did not respond to a request for comment

Musharraf won American support for the airlift by warning that the humiliation of losing hundreds—and perhaps thousands—of Pakistani Army men and intelligence operatives would jeopardize his political survival. "Clearly, there is a great willingness to help Musharraf," an American intelligence official told me. A C.I.A. analyst said that it was his understanding that the decision to permit the airlift was made by the White House and was indeed driven by a desire to protect the Pakistani leader. The airlift "made sense at the time," the C.I.A. analyst said. "Many of the people they spirited away were the Taliban leadership"—who Pakistan hoped could play a role in a postwar Afghan government. According to this person, "Musharraf wanted to have these people to put another card on the table" in future political negotiations. "We were supposed to have access to them," he said, but "it didn't happen," and the rescued Taliban remain unavailable to American intelligence.

According to a former high-level American defense official, the airlift was approved because of representations by the Pakistanis that "there were guys— intelligence agents and underground guys—who needed to get out."

Once under way, a senior American defense adviser said, the airlift became chaotic. "Everyone brought their friends with them," he said, referring to the Afghans with whom the Pakistanis had worked, and whom they had trained or had used to run intelligence operations. "You're not going to leave them behind to get their throats cut." Recalling the last-minute American evacuation at the end of the Vietnam War, in 1975, the adviser added, "When we came out of Saigon, we brought our boys with us." He meant South Vietnamese nationals. " 'How many does that helicopter hold? Ten? We're bringing fourteen.' "

The Bush Administration may have done more than simply acquiesce in the rescue effort: at the height of the standoff, according to both a C.I.A. official and a military analyst who has worked with the Delta Force, the American commando unit that was destroying Taliban units on the ground, the Administration ordered the United States Central Command to set up a special air corridor to help insure the safety of the Pakistani rescue flights from Kunduz to the northwest corner of Pakistan, about two hundred miles away. The order left some members of the Delta Force deeply frustrated. "These guys did Desert Storm and Mogadishu," the military analyst said. "They see things in black-and-white. 'Unhappy' is not the word. They're supposed to be killing people." The airlift also angered the Northern Alliance, whose leadership, according to Reuel Gerecht, a former Near East operative for the C.I.A., had sought unsuccessfully for years to "get people to pay attention to the Pakistani element" among the Taliban. The Northern Alliance was eager to capture "mainline Pakistani military and intelligence officers" at Kunduz, Gerecht said. "When the rescue flights started, it touched a raw nerve."

The ‘airlift of evil’
Why did we let Pakistan pull ‘volunteers’ out of Kunduz?

EXCLUSIVE
By Michael Moran
MSNBC
NEW YORK, Nov. 29, 2001 - The United States took the unprecedented step this week of demanding that foreign airlines provide information on passengers boarding planes for America. Yet in the past week, a half dozen or more Pakistani air force cargo planes landed in the Taliban-held city of Kunduz and evacuated to Pakistan hundreds of non-Afghan soldiers who fought alongside the Taliban and even al-Qaida against the United States. What’s wrong with this picture?

THE PENTAGON, whose satellites and drones are able to detect sleeping guerrillas in subterranean caverns, claims it knows nothing of these flights. When asked about the mysterious airlift at a recent Pentagon briefing, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, denied knowledge of such flights. Myers backpedaled a bit, saying that, given the severe geography of the country, it might be possible to duck in and out of mountain valleys and conduct such an airlift undetected.

But Rumsfeld intervened. With his talent for being blunt and ambiguous at the same time, he said: “I have received absolutely no information that would verify or validate statements about airplanes moving in or out. I doubt them

SEE NO EVIL

Western reporters actually in Kunduz in the days after it fell this week found much to dispel that doubt. Reports first appeared in the Indian press, quoting intelligence sources who cited unusual radar contacts and an airlift of Pakistani troops out of the city. Their presence among the “enemy” may shock some readers, but not those who have paid attention to Afghanistan. Pakistan had hundreds of military advisers in Afghanistan before Sept. 11 helping the Taliban fight the Northern Alliance. Hundreds more former soldiers actively joined Taliban regiments, and many Pakistani volunteers were among the non-Afghan legions of al-Qaida.

Last Saturday, The New York Times picked up the scent, quoting Northern Alliance soldiers in a Page 1 story describing a two-day airlift by Pakistani aircraft, complete with witnesses describing groups of armed men awaiting evacuation at the airfield, then still in Taliban hands.

Another report, this in the Times of London, quotes an alliance soldier angrily denouncing the flights, which he reasonably assumed were conducted with America’s blessing.

“We had decided to kill all of them, and we are not happy with America for letting the planes come,” said the soldier, Mahmud Shah.

IN DENIAL

The credibility gap between these reports from the field and the “no comments” from the U.S. administration are large enough to drive a Marine Expeditionary Unit through. Calls by MSNBC.com and NBC News to U.S. military and intelligence officials shed no light on the evacuation reports, though they clearly were a hot topic of conversation. “Oh, you mean ‘Operation Evil Airlift’?” one military source joked. “Look, I can’t confirm anything about those reports. As far as I know, they just aren’t happening.” Three other military and defense sources simply denied any knowledge.

Something is up. It certainly appears to any reasonable observer that aircraft of some kind or another were taking off and landing in Kunduz’s final hours in Taliban hands. Among the many questions that grow out of this reality:

Was the passenger manifest on these aircraft limited to Pakistani military and intelligence men, or did it include some of the more prominent zealots Pakistan contributed to the ranks of the Taliban and al-Qaida?

What kind of deal was struck between the United States and Pakistan to allow this?

What safeguards did the United States demand to ensure the evacuated Pakistanis did not include men who will come back to haunt us?

What was done with the civilian volunteers once they arrived home in Pakistan? Where they arrested? Debriefed? Taken to safe houses? Or a state banquet?

WHY NOT ADMIT IT

The answers remain elusive. If the passengers were simply Pakistani military and intelligence men, and not civilian extremists, what possible motive is there for concealing the truth about their evacuation? Pakistan may believe that no one has noticed the warmth of its intelligence ties to the Taliban and even al-Qaida, but surely the Pentagon isn’t operating under this illusion, is it? This news organization has quoted U.S. intelligence sources as far back as 1997 as saying that ties between Pakistan’s intelligence service and al-Qaida, and links to the Taliban — a movement nurtured by Pakistan — are undeniable.

Furthermore, the United States can easily explain why it would have allowed a military ruler under intense pressure at home to adopt an unpopular pro-American stance in this war to evacuate some elite intelligence and military forces from a chaotic battlefield. But only if, in fact, the planes were limited to evacuating those people.

The lack of a forthright answer to this question suggests otherwise, and that is a great shame. The history of American policy in Southwest Asia, from the shah of Iran to Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan and Pakistan, is marred by one example after another of short-term decisions that stored up enormous trouble for later. We failed for decades to find common ground with the world’s largest democracy, India. We failed to temper the shah’s domestic abuses in Iran in the name of anti-communism and wound up with the ayatollahs. We decided not to rile our Gulf War coalition allies by pushing onto to Baghdad and find ourselves a decade later wondering how to deal with Saddam Hussein. We pumped Afghanistan and Pakistan with billions of dollars worth of weapons and military know-how to fight the Soviet invasion, but then adopted the Pontius Pilate approach in victory, washing our hands of these struggling nations as soon as Moscow withdrew.

Now, are we careening down the same road with a nuclear-armed Pakistan? Are we allowing an army of anti-American zealots to live and fight another day for the sake of our convenient marriage with Pakistan’s current dictator? I wish I could quote Rumsfeld. I wish I could say “I doubt it.” I can’t.

These are not a rag-tag fleet of barbarians! They are smart and organized. Have you read their operations manual for covert operations in the United States, called, "Myth of Delusion"?

It's some scary stuff.

I've posted it on my website so you can take a look at it if you want:
