Fitzgerald: 95 things that fuel Muslim extremism

“The American presence in Iraq fuels Muslim extremism.”
-- a conclusion concluded from the National Intelligence Estimate by many concluders in solemn conclusory conclave assembled.

Ninety-Five Other Things That Also Fuel Muslim Extremism:

1. Salman Rushdie’s “The Satanic Verses.”
2. The British government’s protection of Salman Rushdie.
3. The American coup against Mossadegh in 1953, cited by some Iranians as the direct cause of the takeover of Iran by the Ayatollah Khomeini more than 25 years later.
4. The remarks of Pim Fortuyn about Muslim attitudes toward liberal Dutch mores.
5. The movie by Theo van Gogh about the subjection of women in Islam.
6. The election of Ayaan Hirsi Ali to the Dutch Parliament.
7. Hindus passing by mosques as Friday Prayers end.
8. The failure of Americans in Iraq to sufficiently subdue the Sunni insurgents.
9. The failure of Americans in Iraq to sufficiently subdue the Shi’a militias.
10. The failure of Americans in Iraq to sufficiently subdue the Kurdish desire for independence.
11. The failure of Americans in Iraq to give Baghdad an instant makeover so that it resembles the most prosperous and advanced American city.
12. The failure of Americans to solve every economic problem in Iraq, to make Sunnis and Shi’a friends, to get the oilfields pumping at full capacity, and to make donations even beyond the many tens of billions spent directly on reconstruction in Iraq.
13. The failure of the Americans, in obtaining debt relief from all Infidel creditors for Iraq (but not from any of the Muslim Arab states), to persuade those same Infidel countries to supply another $50-$100 billion.
14. The refusal of the French state to permit the wearing of the hijab.
15. The insistence, by the French state, that texts by Voltaire, Montaigne, Proust, and other writers deemed or perceived to be anti-Islamic by Muslims, be assigned to students, as required reading, by the Ministry of Education.
16. The selling of alcohol by Christians in Basra.
17. The existence of Christians in Basra.
18. The continued functioning of Christian churches in Baghdad.
19. The Copts in Egypt who complain when Muslims attack their churches and other institutions, or kidnap and forcibly convert Coptic girls to Islam.
20. The Filipinos who try to hold private religious services in Saudi Arabia, land on which no non-Muslims should be present in any case.

21. The American airmen who were assigned to bases in Saudi Arabia and who showed insufficient obeisance to their Saudi masters, all daggers and dishdashas, with their sneers of cold command.
22. The obvious superiority of Western economies.
23. The obvious superiority of Western education.
24. The obvious superiority of Western medical care.
25. The obvious superiority of Western artistic achievement.
26. The obvious superiority of Western (fill in here whatever you like).
27. The failure of Muslims living in the countries of Western Europe to have a standard of living equal or superior to that of non-Muslims.
28. The continued refusal of non-Muslims in the West to institute a formalized long-term system of Jizyah, by which Muslims can be supported; they now must make do only with the benefits provided by Infidel taxpayers on a year-to-year basis.
29. The financial support given by the Americans to the Mubarak regime in Egypt that enrages the Muslim Brotherhood.
30. The financial support given by the Americans to successive Jordanian kings and kinglets, which enrages the Muslim Brotherhood.
31. The diplomatic and other support given by the Americans to the corrupt Al-Saud family of “Saudi” Arabia, which enrages Al-Qaeda and its local supporters.
32. The threats by some in the United States to withdraw support from the Mubarak Friends-and-Family Plan, which whips up anti-American sentiment among Egyptian Muslims.
33. The threats by some in the United States to withdraw support from Pakistan if it does not collaborate less meretriciously in the soi-disant “war on terror,” which whips up anti-American sentiment among Pakistani Muslims.
34. The temporary withdrawal of Infidel support for the “Palestinians,” who deserve to receive Infidel aid of every kind, and permanently.
35. The discussion by some in the West of ways to diminish, in order to prevent further global warming, the use of oil -– which discussion is seen as damaging Arab and Muslim interests, and must therefore be regarded as a deliberate attack on Islam.
36. The reference by Pope Benedict to a 14th century Byzantine emperor’s remarks in the course of a scholarly address at Regensburg.
37. The refusal of Pope Benedict to continue to apologize, and his apparent refusal to completely humiliate himself, before Muslims demanding such humiliation.
38. The Israeli “occupation” of Sinai, Gaza, and the West Bank after the Six-Day War.
39. The Israeli “occupation” of Gaza and the West Bank after the Camp David Accords.
40. The Israeli “occupation” of the West Bank after the full withdrawal from Gaza.
41. The Israeli “occupation” of the sacred Arab and Muslim soil on which the only Jewish state was created in 1948.
42. The presence of Jews in the Middle East.
43. The presence of Jews, uncowed, anywhere in the world.
44. The presence of a strong, self-assured community of Christians in Lebanon.
45. The presence of Copts in Egypt, who sometimes act as if they, too, too, have a right to regard Egypt as their land.
46. The refusal of Italian authorities to prosecute, before her death, Oriana Fallaci.
47. The refusal of Italian authorities to ban Dante in schools because of the mention of Muhammad in The Inferno.
48. The refusal of Italian authorities to remove or cover over frescoes in Bologna that depict Muhammad in an unflattering manner.
49. The refusal of the government of Denmark to punish a Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten, for daring to exercise the right of free speech.
50. The refusal of Hindus to abandon any claim to ancient sites, where Hindu temples once stood until destroyed by Muslim invaders.
51. The refusal of some Hindus to forget the history of India.
52. The refusal of some European governments to permit Muslim mosques of any size to be built wherever, whenever, and with whatever towering minarets and electronic amplifying equipment, as Muslims believe is their sacred right.
53. The attempts by some Western police to enter mosques where they have found, in the past, false passports and other documents, as well as weapons including guns and explosives, sometimes hidden in false ceilings.
54. The attempt to permit Europeans to continue, even outside Denmark, to exercise the so-called right of free speech, as has happened with Charlie-Hébdo and other French newspapers.
55. The refusal of the University of Geneva to renew the contract of Tariq Ramadan.
56. The public displays of piggy-banks, and of allusions in English pub names such as The Saracen’s Head, which may offend Muslims.
57. The discussions by some national authorities in Holland and state authorities in Germany of the need for more stringent qualifications for nationalization, and in some cases the institution of those more stringent qualifications.
58. The single mention by President Bush of the word “islamofascism” -– a word which Muslims all over insisted must never again be repeated by him, and which he never again repeated.
59. The behavior of American soldiers who have on several occasions returned deadly fire coming at them from mosques in Iraq.
60. The behavior of the British police in not notifying Muslim authorities well in advance of any planned raids on any suspected Muslim terrorists in Great Britain; this is a grave offense which has now apparently been rectified in order to win Muslim hearts and Muslim minds.
61. The belief that some in the West continue to hold, that Jews do have a historic as well as religious connection to the part of Dar al-Islam they call Israel.
62. The outrageous way in which Infidels refer to the Prophet Muhammad as if he is not universally regarded as the Perfect Man, uswa hasana, al-insan al-kamil.
63. The mention by Infidels of aspects of Muhammad’s life -– such as the Khaybar Oasis attack, the Banu Qurayza decapitation, the murder of Asma bint Marwan, the marriage to nine-year-old Aisha; these are not true, or if true, are not things which Infidels have any right either to discuss or even to know about.
64. The belief of some Infidels that those who give up on Islam, who are apostates and therefore traitors to Islam, could after their act of treason conceivably continue to know anything about Islam, given that Allah clearly takes away from such people all their previous knowledge of Islam at the very moment when they decide to apostasize.
65. The outrageous belief by some Infidels that nonetheless they may have reason to listen to the testimony of ex-Muslims as to the real contents of Islam.
66. The outrageous and insulting mention, by Infidels, of such words as “taqiyya” and “kitman.”
67. The outrageous mention, by Infidels, of the word “dhimmi,” about which they can not possibly have any accurate conception, and which they have no right to discuss in the first place unless they are Muslims.
68. The outrageous attempt to suggest that people are not born Muslims.
69. The outrageous attempt to suggest that the spread of Islam was ever undertaken through violence, when everyone knows it was a case of sudden mass conversion.
70. The refusal of this or that Infidel religious leader, political figure, writer, artist, comedian, or simply you, or simply I, to exhibit the proper attitude toward Islam, Islam, Islam.
71. The wherewithal provided by OPEC revenues that enables the Saudis, especially, to fund mosques and madrasas worldwide and thereby to naturally increase the numbers of “extremists” in the Lands of the Infidels.
72. The wherewithal of OPEC revenues that pay for an army of Western hirelings, including former diplomats (mostly English and American), former intelligence agents, former and present journalists (especially those covering the Middle East), public relations experts, businessmen eager for contracts in the Gulf, and many other fixers and middlemen. This helps delay the day of new energy policies that could conceivably diminish the OPEC oil revenues that fund the Jihad, and also prevents the unwary from regarding Saudi Arabia as anything other than a “staunch ally.”
73. The willingness of journalists to overlook obvious links between the practice of Jihad and the doctrine of Jihad, encouraged by journalists who still do not feel any obligation to learn about Islam. This encourages Muslims to make demands for changes in political and legal institutions in the West, or to insist that outspoken Infidels -- the Pope, Theo van Gogh, Jyllens-Posten -- must stop speaking or writing about Islam. Any such refusal to comply with Muslim demands engenders -- “fuels” -- Muslim “extremism.”
74. The refusal of the Buddhists in southern Thailand to stop being Buddhists.
75. The refusal of the Christians in the southern Philippines to submit to the demands to hand over lands to the Muslims of As Sayyaf.
76. The refusal of Christians in Sulawesi to stop holding church services.
77. The refusal of the Israeli government to stop trying to protect ancient archeological sites in Jerusalem, many of which have been severely damaged by the Muslim construction on and deep within the Temple Mount.
78. The refusal of Hindus in India to concede to Muslim demands for the full application of Shari’a to the Muslim community.
79. The refusal of Orthodox priests in monasteries in Bosnia and Kosovo to abandon the monasteries to Muslims who are clamoring to destroy them.
80. The outrageous insistence by the world’s Armenians and by many others that Turkey stop denying the mass murder of Armenians by Muslim Turks between 1915 and 1920.
81. The outrageous demands by many Infidel lands that outside forces be brought in to protect the non-Arab Muslims from the Arab Muslims in Darfur, despite the express opposition of both the government of the Sudan and the Arab League.
82. The outrageous demands by some Infidels that Muslims should be permitted to open mosques only on the basis of reciprocity -- that is, on the basis of similar permission being granted to non-Muslims in Muslim lands.
83. The outrageous refusal of some Infidel countries to prevent transmissions of Al Manar and other satellite channels run by terrorist groups.
84. The refusal of many Western countries -- Great Britain, Germany, Canada -- to yield to demands of local Muslims that they be made subject only to the Shari’a and not to the manmade laws of the Infidels.
85. The refusal by Australia to cease contributing troops to help their American allies in Afghanistan and Iraq.
86. The continued existence of Jews.
87. The continued existence of Christians.
88. The continued existence of Hindus.
89. The continued existence of Sikhs.
90. The continued existence of Buddhists.
91. The continued existence of followers of Confucius.
92. The continued existence of agnostics.
93. The continued existence of atheists.
94. Everything.
95. Nothing.

Some, especially in Lutheran lands, may be satisfied with these 95 theses. Others may prefer to round out the polemical embonpoint by adding another five items to the list. Still others may wish to keep adding to the list from the rich profusion of items offered by each day’s Jihad news -- items in keeping with the nature and quite unnecessary nurture of the belief-system of Islam. It took very little time to compose this list. It would not take much longer to add another hundred, two hundred, three hundred items to the list of things that “fuel Muslim extremism.”

Excellent. Unfortunately, due to concerns for my personal safety (I tend to leave my house with my face uncovered and unaccompanied by my brother), I'll not be able to nail a printed copy to the door of the local strip-mall mosque. But I really want to.

Yes, #94 and #95 are probably the ones that cause more anger in the muslim world.

Everything and nothing.

Boy, that gave me a good laugh. It's all true, every last reason. I might add the Crusades to the list, since we all know how successful they were in nearly wiping out Islam throughout the world. Good thing for them about ten or so Muslims survived the worst holocaust the world has ever seen. Is this not so, judging by what the Muslims say of them?

Hugh this is brilliant. Some others are

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jack Straw, immigration, truth, their lies and self-deception, the lies of our leaders -- especially when they believe them themselves, our failure to act --now, letting politicians blather and not contradicting it and voting against it, and not realizing the defense of the West is now.

Some place this morning had an article that the treatment of women under Sharia is what leads to terrorism, suicide bombing, abuse, etc. Its obvious, but if any one knows where it is, I would appreciate a link to it.

I have posted this thought before but I will post it again.
Much of the Muslim’s resentment of the West is driven by the Palestinian issue.
Actually in the last fifty years more Muslims have been killed by other Muslims than have been killed by the Israelis.

This is a fact that many leftists such as George Galloway and Robert Fisk are also oblivious to.
I recently read a good article on this by Israeli journalist Ben Dror Yemini on this very issue.

Here are my estimates for the number of people killed in inter-Mulsim conflicts as opposed to the Arab-Israeli conflict

Ben Dror Yemini estimates that 60,000 Arabs have been killed in the Arab-Israeli conflict. He doesn’t really go into the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 when an estimated 17,000 Palestinan-Lebanese were killed. However, the total number of Arabs killed in the conflict is probably not much higher, around a 100,000 maximum figure.
The Arab-Islamic obsession with the conflict is largely due to symbolism, that and of course their religion which teaches them to hate Jews.

Compare these figures with this.

Algeria: 150,000 people killed in civil war
The Sudan: possibly 2 million killed in civil war
Bangladesh: In 1971 the Pakastani army killed between 1 to 3 million people, many civilians in attempt to crush Bengali independence movement in what was then East Pakistan

Indonesia: In 1966 General Suharto overthrew President Sukarno, initiating a bloody purge of communist opponents. Estimates of the number killed by Suharto vary between 0.5 to 3 million. His regime also invaded East Timor killing a third of the population (200,000).

Iraq: Saddam Hussein’s regime killed approximately 180,000 kurds in internal oppression and was largely responsible for the Iran-Iraq war which killed 1.4 million people. Some historians argue that the real reason the Iran-Iraq war happened was that the Iranian revolution triggered hopes, in the Shia regions of Iraq, for greater autonomy. In order to crush this movement at it’s source, Saddam Hussein ordered an invasion of Iran.

Ben Dror Yemini goes into all these issues in much more depth.
You can read his article here.

Even if the Palestinians live under Israeli military occupation you can make a good case for this, arguing, with good reason, that the number of Palestinians killed would be much higher if they lived under the occupation of an Arab-Islamic army.

Harsh words perhaps but their own dictatorships are much, much worse.

When will the Muslims develop some mature self-criticism?

I guess we have no choice but to start going through this list in an effort to increase religious harmony.

First off, we must locate and destroy every copy ever made of Satanic Verses, and then assassinate Salman Rushdie. The third item requires a time machine, so we should probably leave that for now and move on to item four... oh, looks like that's already been taken care of! As for item five, we... ah, we're too late again. As far as item six goes... shit, too late. Well, we can certainly do something about item seven, can't we? We should kill all Hindus everywhere.

Religious harmony has its costs, but I think it's worth the price.

Hugh - outstanding and succinct. Powerful medicine for what ails us. I have shotgunned this out to everyone I have in my address book who might read it.

JC, you'll never lay your hands on my copy of the Satanic Verses!!! (Personally, I found it slightly confusing when I read it the first time. It was hard to see what the fuss was about. Maybe if I read it again..
Oddly enough, this list gave me hope. There are a lot of people besides Americans who are fueling Muslim extremism. Now if only we could all agree on the next step: total economic isolation.
But that's easier said than done, given their share of the world's oil.

I don't know if it qualifies, but another item would be the sight of alcohol in a bottle. Muslim cab drivers are now refusing transport to anyone who carries alcohol. Whats' next? No rides for those who stand outside a bar or who drink too much? Better tell MADD.

The Israeli “occupation” of the sacred Arab and Muslim soil on which the only Jewish state was created in 1948.

"outstanding and succinct..."
-- from a posting above

Of the two epithets above, I'll gratefully pocket the first, but it would be more difficult -- given the length of the piece being described -- to straightforwardly do so with the second. Some might consider that to reflect a readiness to pocket any flattering epithets -- those that fit and those that don't quite -- they might, in other words, assume that I am just glad to see them.

Of course the worlds number one dhimmi could never began to answer all their grievances after all you might as well measure the distance to the end of the Universe.

The clash of western civilization with the Islamic Ideology is to polarizing to overcome. Osama Bin Laden knew this well as he worked to draw the western world into a confrontation through whatever provocation he could create, thus bringing a great portion of the umma into the state of Dar-al-harb against western values.

Another victim of the "Religion of Peace"

Muslim religion blamed for fatal stabbing
By Greg Stolz
October 11, 2006 01:00am

A RELIGIOUS feud between a Muslim father and his teenage daughter may
have sparked a bloody domestic dispute on Queensland's Gold Coast
which left the man's wife dead and him fighting for life in hospital.

Police are investigating suggestions the violence erupted after the 17-
year-old girl told her father she wanted to opt out of the Islamic
faith and convert to Christianity. The girl's mother is believed to
have stepped in to protect her daughter, only to be fatally stabbed
with a kitchen knife.

Neighbours reported hearing "blood-curdling" screams before the
hysterical girl ran half-naked from their Southport home unit covered
in scratches.

Police later found the body of the girl's mother, 41, inside the blood-
smeared unit. Her husband was taken to the Gold Coast Hospital with a
stab wound to the chest. He was last night in a critical condition
under police guard.

[... ...]

All very true Hugh. I was especially interested in your comments regarding Iraq, where we have so utterly failed, thus making them feel more empowered.

Hugh - Your point on the sheer number of them is taken... but keep passing the ammunition - bullet lists - in volume. The numbered item format fits Corporate calibers everywhere. It's a format that appeals to middle managers and worker bees as we pass it down the trench line.

Each on its own is a sharply-pointed projectile that can find its mark. The sheer number of them only lends increased firepower - it doesn't dilute the message.

Some more
96. Decision of Indian supreme court for the execution of the terrorist who plotted attack on Indian parliament and killed 9 security personnels.

97. Refusal of infidel to accept that all the scietific knowledge has already been revealed in Koran and present scientific community is only 'rediscovering' things.

98. Refusal of infidels to give up their sense of history and accepting supremacy of arabian civilization and scriptures over all of their heritage.

99. Requests by Indian government to administer polio vaccines to children.

Hugh,
Thanks for the laugh. Unfortunately, like all great satire, your list has so much truth in it reminds me of how unlikely any real peace with Islam really is.

Hugh

Couldn't you have found just 5 more items that would have made it a nice round figure of 100? :-)

Infidel Pride - the number 95 is evocative of the '95 Theses' that Martin Luther nailed to the door of a Catholic church. The paper listed out things Luther thought the Catholic church needed to address:

95 Theses
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 95 Theses. The Disputation of Martin Luther on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences, known as the 95 Theses, challenged the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church on the nature of penance, the authority of the pope and the usefulness of indulgences. They sparked a theological debate that would result in the Reformation and the birth of the Lutheran, Reformed, and Anabaptist traditions within Christianity.

Hugh;
Great list! Theres talk of updating it to 190 things, that should only take a hour or two.

Could be made into a daily, top 10.

What about the abolishment of slavery. Islam, the naked truth:

I know it is very painful to realize that our religion al islam believes in slavery..

from what I know.. slaves can be bought and sold.. however the only way to aquire slaves other than buying them from another person is to either inherit them or take them as captives in war..

you should know that war is incumbant upon all muslims once they gain strength in order to establish the worship of "Allah" around the world.. killing the kufr.. and taking jews and christians as slaves..

Women who become slaves are not allowed to protest to their masters if they have sex.. therefore legalizing rape of these women..

the fact that saudi arabia.. abolished slavery does not mean the attitude do not still exist.. Often times one will hear about maids being passed around to the men of a household for sex.. and offered to visitors as well..

although religious people say this is wrong.. and muslims should not have maids ... if slaves became existant in the Islamic world the same abuses would happen..

Many early muslims treated their slaves very well.. and this was obligated in Islam..

however the problem with any law is that it can be abused.. and slaves have lil recourse to obtaining their rights..

the only way is to abolish slavery completely. In fact the injustice of Islam was by keeping the concept of slavery alive and well within the muslim ummah.. and Satan knew that men would transgress the boundries of good.. and commit evil against those dependent on them.

To add a few other grievances, off the top of my head: the suggestion that Muslim women wearing the veil in Western countries of which they are citizens is socially divisive;westerners associating Haroun al-Rashid's Baghdad with genies, magic lamps and flying carpets when they should be thinking of the triumphs of Islamic science and learning; daring to use the word Mohammedanism in the blurb on the back of a Penguin book about Islam published as late as the 1970's; daring to regain Spain and Portugal from dar al-Islam; daring to regain most of the Balkans from dar el-Islam (some of them are probably annoyed about Sardinia, Sicily and the Balearics as well); Westerners daring to rule most of the Islamic world during the age of imperialism; inventing the existence of a holocaust to create sympathy for the Jews; daring to point out Muslim atrocities without mentioning 'Christian gas-chambers'(even contradictory complaints may convince some idiot somewhere); daring not to place the Koran higher than any other book, in libraries and bookshops; daring to accidentally shoot a suspect in the shoulder during a terrorist raid on a house, even though a polceman had been stabbed to death during such a raid a few years earlier; daring to make Muslim men in the UK lie (to the social security people and providers of public housing) about having a dependent sister-in-law (or two} living with them when they are, in fact, their second and third wives; daring to make Muslim men have impure thoughts by not forcing western women to cover up their bodies (and hair).

"20. The Filipinos who try to hold private religious services in Saudi Arabia, land on which no non-Muslims should be present in any case."

Excellent. Then Muslims should readily embrace the concept of themselves being removed from the West. They should fully agree that the Islamic nations are for Muslims and the West is for Westerners. I also concur with this belief. Now, if we can just get our politicians to enforce that concept here in the West with border enforcement and an immediate halt of Muslim immigration, that would be a good start.

"Couldn't you have found just 5 more items that would have made it a nice round figure of 100?"
-- from a posting above

Of course I could.

But I wanted to appeal to readers to participate, by leaving the last few items to be filled in by them, which in turn leads them to bethink themselves as to how many more items might be listed.

In the same way, readers of a poem are implicitly invited to tease out, not only the original meaning, or to endow words written long ago with a meaning enriched by the passage of time, but to do both simultaneously.

But when you are condmened to humble dunstable prose, and there is hardly any room for play or give, one way to inveigle readers into such collaboration is by leaving the piece deliberately, maddeningly, tantalizingly, at times infuriatingly, unfinished.

I think it works.

Madness. Method.

Personally, I blame it all on goats today not being what they used to.

Whew! My answer was last on the list, everything and nothing......

I’ve often pointed out that jihadis were inflamed that we (a) helped Saddam in the 1980s (their secular nemesis), (b) refused to trade with Saddam in the 1990s (those starving Iraqi children), (c) removed Saddam in the 2000s (invaded an Islamic land), and (d) humiliated Saddam in his capture. Deal with Saddam, boycott Saddam, remove Saddam … we’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t. Of course, a jihadi needs no excuse to hate and attack an infidel; excuses are propaganda for gullible dhimmi-whipped infidels.

I’m just glad that Hugh stopped at 95 … there’s only so much bandwidth on the Internet.

Maybe muzlims are stressed because they have to keep lying, obfuscating and deluding themselves about what they are raised to believe-that izlam is some kind of "good" thing and not the world's most degenerate and false doctrine.

Maybe muzlims are stressed because-being identified as muzlims-they take it personally when people find out that their prophet was a serial rapist, a terrorist, a thief, a liar.

Jihad Watch & Company didn't make it on the list? I guess that falls under the #94 category. Very funny stuff, Hugh, and unfortunately, true.

Now this is one list I have to print out!

Sorry Hugh, but your list is MUCH to long. There are only two things that fuel muslim extremism. They are:

1) Non-Muslims
2) Non-Sharia Governments

If everyone would simply convert to Islam and submit to live under Sharia then all would be well.

As a reminder, It's in the Koran:

So brilliant a list, Hugh, that I reposted it on my own blog.

96. Jihad Watch
97. Jihad Watch comments

Over at the Drudge Report is #98, a story about a couple of non-muslims who got caught having sex in a mosque in Kenya. The guy asked for clemency because he said they were too drunk to know where they were.

L-O-L!!!!

My favorite:

67. The outrageous mention, by Infidels, of the word “dhimmi,” about which they can not possibly have any accurate conception, and which they have no right to discuss in the first place unless they are Muslims.

We may not mention the word "dhimmi" because we must behave as dhimmi.

Excellent Hugh - Excellent!

Only 95 though?

Oh - I believe that number is nuch higher - but I get your point.

TOO bad the MSM doesn't

Hugh,

I agree with and second this request from A_Plague_on_Both_Houses.

". . . . Your point on the sheer number of them is taken... but keep passing the ammunition - bullet lists - in volume. The numbered item format fits Corporate calibers everywhere. It's a format that appeals to middle managers and worker bees as we pass it down the trench line.

Each on its own is a sharply-pointed projectile that can find its mark. The sheer number of them only lends increased firepower - it doesn't dilute the message."

islamakapigeaters

From what I've seen, history for muslims begins when Mohammed the rapist, thief, murderer, came on the scene. Everything before that time is irrelevant. That helps them easily forget the that Israel was Jewish for centuries before the followers of the Mohammed showed up. What really throws me for a loop is that the koran says that both the Torah and the Bible are the word of God, but then later refutes both of them. It sounds like someone was being opportunisitic. I personnally believe that islam is the pagan worship of some moon god from Mecca and that Mohammed was nothing more than a scam artist. The facts are all there.

I thought surely that Ray Stevens' "Ahab the A-rab would be on the list.

No. 98 - Foehammer's Anvil

Muslemis are always outrageous for the simple fact that they never learn what really human beeing is because of their so-called book which they can´nt really understand or read, as it´s written with a dead language.

Hugh's list neglected two little things:

Islam

and

The Qur'an.

Nice job, Hugh...I think that about sums it up...

Pelayo:

LOL. I'd be proud to be on that list, thanks.

.Ancient Buddhist statues
.Faked photos produced by their own propaganda
.miscengenation
.a woman's clitoris
.monogamy

And we all know Hugh could have added freely to the list...that's the truly telling point here, even beyond the innocuity of some of the "offenses".

I'm not going to bother trying to add anything more to the list. It is perfect as is. Very nicely done.

All very true Hugh. I was especially interested in your comments regarding Iraq, where we have so utterly failed, thus making them feel more empowered. Posted by: Bonniea

Failure was pre ordained, and truly wise and perceptive men would have known that. There is absolutely no way for "Crusaders" (kaffirs) to invade a muslim country, without incurring the same results as in Iraq.

There was no way to "Win", no way to succeed, unless the west has the will to engage in whole sale ethnic cleansing.. meaning completely obliterate the muslim population (via WMD's) or at least gather together all of the Imam's, Mullahs, religious scholars, judges, tribal chiefs and do a Saddam (fill mass graves).

The same awaits in Iran, meanwhile the Taliban is resurgent in Afghanistan (thanks especially to the help, aid and assistance rendered them by Pervez Musharaff who is NOT, despite Bush's claims a friend or ally in the war in terror.

In that vein, check out the connection between AQ Khan, the Pakistan nuclear bomb and the Saudi Family who has funded it, and continues to fund the Wahabbi (Taliban) Imam's and madrassas.

Hugh -

Sorry that my last, light-hearted post necessitated its removal. However, I'll stand by my last statement that you provided a good exercise for all and I thank you for that...

Another addition to the list:

96 - the infidel's persistent claim that the world is round, etc.

:)

A brilliant and thought provoking list.

Their defeat at Tours, which happened on this date in 732.

Excellent and a good read.

An instant classic.

'The Americans love Pepsi Cola, but we love death'

471. Pepsi Cola.
472. Life.

# 56: The public displays of piggy-banks, and of allusions in English pub names such as The Saracen’s Head, which may offend Muslims.

I found (and loved) this quote on a Wikipedia page:

"John of Damascus described the Saracens (muslims) in the early 8th century :

"There is also the people-deceiving cult (threskeia) of the Ishmaelites, the forerunner of the Antichrist, which prevails until now. It derives from Ishmael, who was born to Abraham from Hagar, wherefore they are called Hagarenes and Ishmaelites. And they call them Saracens, inasmuch as they were [sent away] empty-handed by Sarah (ek tes Sarras kenous); for it was said to the angel by Hagar: "Sarah has sent me away empty-handed" (cf. Genesis xxi. 10, 14).
These, then, were idolaters and worshippers of the morning star and Aphrodite whom in fact they called Akbar (Chabar) in their own language, which means "great". So until the times of Heraclius they were plain idolaters. From that time till now a true prophet appeared among them, surnamed Muhammad (Mamed), who, having happened upon the Old and the New Testament and apparently having conversed, in like manner, with an Arian monk, put together his own heresy. And after ingratiating himself with the people by a pretence of piety, he spread rumours of a scripture (graphe) brought down to him from heaven. So, having drafted some ludicrous doctrines in his book, he handed over to them this form of worship (to sebas)."

'Allat' u akbar indeed!

Oops, this should have been included in the quote: "In this extract, John might actually have been referring to Allat, a pre-Islamic goddess equated with Aphrodite."

Hugh, that list is HILARIOUS! I registered just to say that.

96. indigestion, gas
97. scimitar blades keep getting dull while chopping heads, and the West hasn't yet invented cheap disposable scimitars for export
98. women
99. having to lie a lot
100. being stupid as hell

Interesting quote of John of Damascus provided by wolf_178 above. A couple of things to note:

I'm not sure that the Greek word threskeia can be so easily translated as "cult"; it can simply mean "devotion, religion".

"And they call them Saracens, inasmuch as they were [sent away] empty-handed by Sarah (ek tes Sarras kenous); for it was said to the angel by Hagar: "Sarah has sent me away empty-handed" (cf. Genesis xxi. 10, 14)."

Actually, Abraham sent Hagar and Ishmael away with bread and water. (Gen. 10:14).

"a true prophet appeared among them, surnamed Muhammad (Mamed), who, having happened upon the Old and the New Testament and apparently having conversed, in like manner, with an Arian monk, put together his own heresy."

Fascinating mention of an influence on Mohammed of an Arian Christian: The Arians were a Christian heresy that had begun with an early 4th-century Libyan Christian presbyter (elder) named Arius. In a nutshell, the Arians believed that Jesus Christ was not divine, and was not, as Son, the Second Person of the Trinity. The Arians did ascribe a kind of superhuman significance and power to Jesus, almost on a par with angels, but they definitely denied him the status of God, which is the mainstream Christian view. The Islamic view of Jesus as not God, and the Islamic ascription to him of special eschatological functions, smells quasi-Arian.

How about:

96. Humor cannot be of Allah, because we are devoid of it. Jews are funny as hell, so THERE YOU GO! All Jews must die.

Think about it...

The Marx Brothers
The Three Stooges

Woody Allen

Funny is BAD. UNINTENTIONALLY funny is GOOD! Death to FUNNY!
