Remember those "civil riots" in France? The ones that Prince Al-Walid of Saudi Arabia compelled Rupert Murdoch to have Fox stop calling "Muslim riots"? The ones that the learned talking heads assured us had nothing to do with Islam? While they were receiving the most press attention they ever got, in November 2005, you could have gotten the real story here and here. You'll note that I began that second article, "Has an intifada begun in France — an all-out jihad?" It's interesting that in this piece the police union uses the same word -- intifada. Now the truth is beginning to come out in the mainstream media, almost a year after you could have read it at Jihad Watch.

Radical Muslims in France's housing estates are waging an undeclared "intifada" against the police, with violent clashes injuring an average of 14 officers each day. As the interior ministry said that nearly 2,500 officers had been wounded this year, a police union declared that its members were "in a state of civil war" with Muslims in the most depressed "banlieue" estates which are heavily populated by unemployed youths of north African origin.It said the situation was so grave that it had asked the government to provide police with armoured cars to protect officers in the estates, which are becoming no-go zones.
The number of attacks has risen by a third in two years. Police representatives told the newspaper Le Figaro that the "taboo" of attacking officers on patrol has been broken.
Instead, officers – especially those patrolling in pairs or small groups – faced attacks as soon as they tried to arrest locals....
Of course, the French are reluctant to face what is happening, and many will no doubt continue to believe that more welfare benefits will solve the problem, but some seem to be more realistic:
Michel Thoomis, the secretary general of the hardline Action Police trade union, has written to Mr Sarkozy warning of an "intifada" on the estates and demanding that officers be given armoured cars in the most dangerous areas.He said yesterday: "We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists. This is not a question of urban violence any more, it is an intifada, with stones and Molotov cocktails. You no longer see two or three youths confronting police, you see whole tower blocks emptying into the streets to set their 'comrades' free when they are arrested."

Send two officers out on a patrol on foot in this area, but equip them so they can 'discourage' offenders. I suggest an M240 Machine Gun with rubber rounds for each. Tell them 'weapons free'. If these 'dissaffected youths' insist on getting in for a closer fight, I'd recommend a Mossberg 12gauge shotgun. The rubber rounds were a warning. Where I live, if you attack a police officer, he can shoot you in self defense.
Arrest someone to make a ruckus. Use the M240 by hand, or mounted on the APC's these guys are going to get. A couple rubber rounds will leave 'em knocked out and waking up with a huge headache among their comrades a while later. Maybe they'll think twice next time.
When it comes to cops needing armored personel carriers, we need to draw a line. Automatic weapons. Rubber bullets. Effective crowd control.

If the French are now "retaking" French territory, they are acknowledging that the French territory has already been "taken" from them. Even this denial shows that Muslims have not assimilated into French society; they are separate and distinct, permanent outsiders, as they have demanded. It only makes sense to talk about a group "taking" something if that group (Muslims) is seperate from the group (infidels) from which it is "taking" something. You cannot take something from yourself.
Secondly, this denial claims that an increase in violent attacks is proof that everything is working just right; the jihadists are "desperate", "on the ropes", it's their "last gasp". In the U.S., we've been hearing that twisted logic about Iraq and Afghanistan for 5 years now.

How things have changed in France!
Around 1960 at the height of the Algerian war of independence, Algerian immigrants in Paris held a major riot. But it was quite nasty and at the end of it something like 70 to 80 of them were fished out of the River Seine. I read somewhere that in the last three years the French had been obliged to put up a memorial in Paris to the dead Algerians of 40 years ago. Details anyone?
However unfashionable it may be I would like to say I have some sympathy for the French. Why? They have had bombs on the Metro long before 9/11 and 7/7 and one of the suspects wanted for bombing the Paris Metro fled to London where he lived on welfare for 10 years. In that time the British taxpayer paid our wonderful human rights lawyer's a small fortune to keep him out of an hands of the terrible French. Needless to say this was not reported on the MSM until almost the end and then I suspect the British only handed over in return for the French closing the Sandgatte transit - sorry refugee camp.
I wish I could say I feel sorry for the French, but with what I have learned about their foreign policy practices (read: anti-American) recently I am forced to conclude that, in this case, we are witnessing chickens coming home to roost. France all but asked for an Islamic takeover of its national sovereignty. Don't ask me to pity these people, because I sure as hell don't. Should America help them out in this? I tend to think not actually because personally I am sick of their bloody treachery. And that corrupt double-dealer, Chirac (Saddam Hussein's ol' buddy).
I am NOT gloating (I do not wish such things on anyone), although I realize it may sound that way. I am fully cognizant of the fact that what is going in France and other countries in western Europe with Islam could all-too-easily happen in America--in the not-too-distant future. Another aspect of counter-jihad is in the making: China and other newly-developed nations are pouring money into Islamic countries notably Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Iran. This is a potential deathblow to the western democracies because Islamic countries are now able to ramp up jihadist warfare WITHOUT any western capital or weaponry. Nations like Australia, France (yes, FRANCE the allaeged victim in the above article) have climbed into bed with China and to some degree have aready begun thumbing their noses at American efforts to contain jihad warfare in favor of the glittering prospects of trade with the fastest-growing economy on earth.
As long as newly developed nations continue pouring petro-cash into the Islamosphere, the western democracies will almost certainly be forced to deal with prolonged and intensifying Islamic jihadist violence. The jihadists now have new funding sources with which to continue their warfare against us. The western democracies may have to find a way to pressure China, Russia, and India to give up their jihad-enabling economic ways and that could mean more war as it is unlikely that at this point these (and other) countries will abandon their lucrative jihad-enabling ways voluntarily.
To quote an oft-repeated adage "what comes around goes around." France, starting with Charles de Gaulle, planned to dig a hole to bury the United States of America in. Instead the French have fallen into this same pit themselves.(Karma). France may also be paying for its touch-feeliness goings on with China since China is now a jihad-enabling state whether the world community admits it or not.
The best that may come of this is that the French will discover that Christianity and America the "arrogant hegemon" weren't so horrendous after all.

Going through Dr Bostom's history of jihad, it's so disheartening to find time and time again where internecine squabbles in dar-al-harb, so trivial in historical context, kept tribes and nations of Infidels from presenting a unified front to defeat the jihad. You've got that right. France has been a second rate power since their shameful surrender after one month of fighting in 1940. Because they seemingly still haven't gotten over that the
French government continues to delude itself that France is still a big deal. That's why they seemingly always side against the US- so somebody will notice them. Unfortunately for the people of France someone has noticed-the Islamaniacs. Now there over there, causing all sorts of headaches. Rather than learn from its stupidity the French government continues to act in a suicidal manner by pandering to its immigrant troublemakers and blocking attepmts to call Iran to account on its nuclear program. I feel sorry for the French people who have to take all this baloney but I don't feel sorry at all for those who continue to make their nation a virtual laughingstock. After all, if you stupidly invite a hungry tiger into your house it's only a matter of time before you become its dinner.
Although a few of the people above have been condemning France (and I am from the US) we are letting it happen here also. There haven't been riots yet.....but if you read all the posts on JW/Dhimma the US is letting the peaceful religion being taught in our schools. CAIR is getting ever more demanding and frankly most of our population here doesn't know the dangers of Islam and doesn't educate themselves concerning it. Plus we here in the US let Saudi dollars buy up into the media so they can have a say of what is being prodcast to the public. And they do.

All I can say is, that the leftist leaders over here are very chummy chummy with the saudis. There are several posters who have posted about Western leaders being friendly with them, too. One of Europes leading military historians said that is the way they have always worked. The Turks would take over a few frontier villages now an then and everyone would say "Its not worth a war for a few villages" and over the course of 100 years Europes frontier was constantly being pushed back.
Incidentally about 2 months ago Al Jazzera interviewed a leading Mulla who openly said "We are increasing in such numbers in Europe we may not even have to conquer it. We already have Constantinople (taken 1483) who can say what we will take next? It could be anywhere Rome even."

You have to understand, when I am engaged in this conversation with folks from the EU and other parts of the world, I constantly hear critism of what America does wrong. I know our top officials are bought out by the saudis. I figured that out when I was 10 years old. I understand the feds do whatever they can to keep alot of this under wraps. I'm just saying, when this war comes to our streets, and the american civilians get involved, it will be a different story. No disrespect to our troops at home or abroad. They have their job to do, and they do it well. Considering all the p.c. crap that they have to put up with. But I am sure at some point we will be bailing out the EU unless there is a groundswell of pissed off youth like there is here. Sooner or later its not gonna matter what our "leaders" think.
