Georgetown gets $20 million from prince promoting Islam, ejects Christian groups

John Esposito's "Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding" flourishes, while Christian groups lose recognition. An update to this story. "Georgetown gets $20 million from prince promoting Islam: Just months later, university ejects evangelical Christians from campus," by Bob Unruh for WorldNetDaily.com, with thanks to Truth Seeker:

The Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University has been renamed after Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal donated $20 million to its projects. And while that may be just the tail, the dog appears to be moving away from its historic Catholic and Jesuit teaching philosophy too.

The Center's leaders say it now will be used to put on workshops regarding Islam, fostering exchanges with the Muslim world, addressing U.S. policy towards the Muslim world, working on the relationship of Islam and Arab culture, addressing Muslim citizenship and civil liberties, and developing exchange programs for students from the Muslim world.

The "Christian" part of the center's projects at the university that has a history of 200 years of higher education following its Christian founding, is conspicuous by its absence in its website plans for its 10-year future.

But that won't be a surprise to leaders of a number of Christian evangelical groups whose leaders recently were told to leave the campus and not list Georgetown University as a site for operations in the future.

That story, reported by WND earlier, still has folks wondering what happened to cause Georgetown officials to ban InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and others. InterVarsity spokesman Gordon Govier said the organization still doesn't know why the move was announced by university officials, who did not return WND messages left inquiring about the situation.

"We still are a little bit confused about what happened," he told WND. "We haven't been able to identify clearly what happened."

He said Christians in the InterVarsity organization still are meeting at Georgetown, but they have no official sanction and are meeting without recognition, much as many Christian churches in nations where religion is regulated meet.

He said there is a committee meeting that is supposed to hear concerns from Christians, and InterVarsity is hopeful there will be a positive outcome, but there's no time frame set.

But the time frame for other interests that have become relevant to Georgetown are a little more apparent. The school's Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding confirmed several months ago that the $20 million donation was made by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, and a short time later the Center was given the added moniker as Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding.

The organization now features a number of pro-Muslim statements and articles, with little reference to any Christian statements or understandings. It even has co-sponsored events with CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

CAIR is a spin-off of the Islamic Association for Palestine, identified by two former FBI counterterrorism chiefs as a "front group" for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. Several CAIR leaders have been convicted on terrorism-related charges.

The center's chief, John L. Esposito, summarizes the goals of the organization clearly: "The Prince Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding is concerned with Islam and the West and Islam in the West. The Center, since its creation in 1993, has built bridges of understanding between the Muslim world and the West, addressing stereotypes of Islam and Muslims and issues and questions such as the clash of civilizations, and the compatibility of Islam and modern life – from democratization and pluralism to the status of women, minorities and human rights – and American foreign policy in the Muslim world."

Sounds like pro-Islamic lies are becoming official dogma in the Free Republic of Uncle Sam. Thanks to the Washington pro-Arab, pro-Muslim crowd, what I. L. Kenen once called the "Petro-diplomatic complex"

I thought the price was 30 pieces of silver? Oh, wait, I forgot to include 2000 years worth of inflation.

Anything for the almighty dollar, even if it's Saudi blood money. These universities take Saudi money, turn out "Stepford Islamaniac Shills", then control the media with their "Islam is peaceful" drivel. Why is the enemy allowed to subvert the educational system? We will lose this struggle if the educational system isn't cleaned up of this insanity.

Well, god is at work at Georgetown; his name is
$20 million.

And there are about 20 million reasons why this god is worshiped in all religions.

Assalamau Laikum all,

$3 to extract a barrel of holy land (that's oil to you) out and sold at over $50 to the Kaffur for their SUVs to pollute more of Allah's flat earth.

The Kafur has long ago abandoned faith and embraced modernaity and materialism. Thus, the Kafur would sell his grandmother for a bit of money and a stereo. If he cannot...then they are carted off to a cold old-folks home by the windy sea..."I will see you next christmas now mother, that's only 360 days away now"...hoping that she has gone before then.

Here the prince uses "beer" money petro-dollar earnings to change the status quo of millenia old institutions for ...what else money...so what is to be changed.

1) The expansion of Islam in the heart of christian instutions. In the fulness of time this will be a fatal blow for christianity within this institution.

2) A change of cirriculum, faith and culture. Over the next few years many Islamic "thinkers" will be conveyor belt rollered out to spread "home grown" Islam all over the Amerekie.

3) Teaching may be limited to 4 days with Friday considered a prayer day. A mosque will be built on site for this purpose.

3) The Koran will take pride of place, being on the top shelf of every corner of the library.

4) Many Kafur will convert and be subject to Halal meat in the canteens which will serve many arabic delicasies. Blondes will take pride of place as muslimas.

Depending on the success of this story, the Prince may well pump in more "beer" money earnings at other christian institutions.

The Prince knows that there is a limited shelf life to his money (i.e. the oil will run out) ...but by that time virtualy all the important instutions will have a very Islamic bias to them.

Yes I know that many muslims make poor students...and that you cannot throw "pearls of wisdom" at them. However what the prince is ensuring is that these pearls be denied to the Kafur and may be used by the muslim at a later date.

My point....Why bother with jihadists and mujhadeen...the kafur is fun to toy with and easily defeated by his love for materialism and "beer" money.

Truly I can see the dream....inshallah your childrens will yet be wuslims...

Naseem:

I agree with all of your points except the last one -- my children will not be muslims.

So have your ever read Spencer's books? Which ones -- and what did you think if you have read them.

"The Center's leaders say it now will be used to put on workshops regarding Islam, fostering exchanges with the Muslim world, addressing U.S. policy towards the Muslim world, working on the relationship of Islam and Arab culture, addressing Muslim citizenship and civil liberties, and developing exchange programs for students from the Muslim world."
-- from the article above

Why, it sounds as though the activities it plans are no different from those of the State Department or, more generally, the idiotized and paralyzed American government: explaining, and explaining away, Islam, through the "workshops" and "fostering exchanges" and "working on relationships" and "addressing Muslim citizenship and civil liberties" (would that include discussing the relation of Islam, and the conceivable loyalty of Muslims, to the American Constitution and especially to the Bill of Rights and "developing exchange programs."

Every single item is transparent. Every single one, phrased so innucuously, is full of promised threats to the legal and political institutions of this country, to its social understandings and arrangements, to the harmony of its society. Everything that the sinister Esposito and his handmaids -- Voll, Haddad, and so on -- and his Saudi backers, all smiles in official Washington (from the now-banished tennis-playing Aspen-Xanadu'ed Prince Bandar, to the gravel-voiced Al-Turki who replaced him) and all daggers and dishdashas, and the sneer of cold command, at home, where all the masks kept on in front of the powerful Infidels of Washington are torn off, just the way Muslim women can tear off, at home, the clothes they wear when they go outside.

Who could object to such a list of goals, all carefully crafted to appear to be aimed at greater "dialogue" and harmony?

Who could object?

I could.

You could.

Everyone who has begun to look around the world, and trusted the evidence of his senses, including the sensorium of his mind, could.

I'm beginning to think a regime change in Saudi Arabia might be a good idea. Too many princes have too much money to donate to "worthy" causes.
With a friend like this one doesn't need any enemies. At least Iran tells it like it is, scummy as it might be.

I hate to say this, but the Society of Jesus has really gone down hill in the 20th century and, as a Catholic, this really doesn't suprise me. They were the ones that pushed the open-ended tolerance towards other religions and are comprised of mainly '60s libbers. I'm sure Ignatious of Loyla is spinning in his grave or banging his head against one of the pearly gates.

What is sadder even to me is that fact that $20 million would be worshipped rather tha God, and also the explusion of other Christians. I need to find out more facts exactly, and hopefully Intervarsity will have something posted, but I'm actually going to write a letter on this one.

This is just wrong, un-Christian, an act of treason against the United States as far as I'm concerned, and dangerous..both on a physical security level and a spiritual one.

Peace.

Oh, but Mr. Fitzgerald – there are these caveats as well:

The organization now features a number of pro-Muslim statements and articles, with little reference to any Christian statements or understandings. It even has co-sponsored events with CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Obviously, very unbiased. CAIR – not doubt a very reputable and prestigious organization in the view of Georgetown officials.

He [the Prince] also had given a similar $20 million gift to Harvard, which sponsors a Harvard Law School Islamic Legal Studies Program, and the Islamic Finance Project, which looks at the legal and sharia points of view of situations, officials said.

Sharia law being taught at Harvard Law school – now that is progress! O’Conner and others of her ilk may yet refer to this new “enlightened” view to interpret the Constitution in the future, I suppose.

Faculty members also are being interviewed by al-Jazeera, a network with sources in many terrorist camps

At least the “bearded pointy heads” get their faces in front of someone’s camera – doesn’t matter whose apparently.

The prince, who controls tens of billions of dollars in investments in Morgan Stanley, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Deutsche Bank, Apple Computer, Hewlett-Packard, Kodak, The Walt Disney company and ebay, works through the Kingdom Holdings company.

So there are tens of billions of reasons why the prince should be heard over the voices or objections of everyone else.

The prince and all his billions has a surprise coming as will the takers of his billions -- I believe that they will one day be over ruled by a higher authority in a superior court.

this is why we need to get off an oil economy and trigger a severe recession - to wipe out these people's wealth.

Get rid of the oil jizyah, wipe out or confiscate the recycled petrodollars and then what do they have? Demand for fine Saudi sand isn't much more than one cent... per thousand tonnes.

They dont get that kind of money to toe the line ,they get it because they agree with it in the first place.

Assalamau Laikum all,

Jeruslum foolishly says "this is why we need to get off an oil economy and trigger a severe recession - to wipe out these people's wealth".

If there is no change to the oil economy (and inshallah this will be modest), the flow of monies will increase as the oil begins to run out.

The Amerekie will still foolishly want to run their SUVs..but the price per barrel could jump say from $50 to $500.

When things get a bit more severe, the saudi could even ask for the supply of modest nucleur weapons for exchange of oil....such is the thirst of the kafur...he will do this too.

With this increasing lack of faith, the kafur has few moral standings...he will sell all (sic) to keep his precious SUV.

I can even see deals being done whereby the vice president of the Amerekie will convert to Islam to keep the oil flowing.

Sadly Naseem is right about the moral fiber of many, many modern westerners, many of us would sell our Grandma for a stereo and some money. Many of the people who run the West are rancid whores who can be bought for trinkets and trash. We are a shallow debased culture with no heart and no soul. When the Gramcian Marxist filth ascended to power they killed the West. The West is recking rotting carcass and the Muslims are circling vultures waiting to feast on our demise.

Unless the West recovers some sense of its self and has higher ideals then getting paid and laid it is doomed and it is futile. All the west has at the moment is vague tripe and catch phrases about freedom, diversity and doing your own thing. We can't even do the most basic thing of having children because we are so damn selfish way-ward. Islam may be wrong, but at least they know why they get up in the morning and they aren't a bunch of vacous, self hating, whoring, groveling childless twits.

The empty amoral degenerates at Georgetown who took this money are the end products of our heartless and souless culture. Univerities are good at making small men and women who can be bought for fleeting comforts and riches. The post-modern westerner has no vision beyond his bank-account and his crotch. Shilling for his mortal enemies pays the bills, so what the hell?

Moral Relativism, greed and loss if faith and vision must be overcome for us to win. This center for Muslim-Christian understanding epitomises all three evils. Maybe Georgetown could become Catholic again. Just a thought.

After Eurabia, I can see that some people are busy building USrabia.

Naseem,

I appreciated from your comments on the recent female genital mutilation thread your degree of compassion on this topic towards a better Dar al-Islam.

But I think you're wrong on this one. I'm unclear why Georetown turning green hasn't been a big topic in the media (including JW/DW, this is an OLD story). But all the Saudi Prince has accomplished is widening a sectarian fissure in a small former enclave of Christendom and creating a glaring example of duplicity and proselytization.

Georgetown didn't turn away the Christian groups because they were impotent and failing, but because of their successes. Protestants will be less likely to attend Georgetown, and eventually enough Catholics will wake up. Then you will be preaching to the choir. Accomplishing what? You've already got Al-Esposito University. Surprise, the whores were already taking the money. Twenty million of "beer money" wasted, the insidious subtlety lost, a university ruined, and an example to others.

I can even see deals being done whereby the vice president of the Amerekie will convert to Islam to keep the oil flowing.

Perhaps he and the President have done so already.

So do I infer correctly that you have not read any of Spencer's materials?

Are you afraid to read them Naseem? Or do you not have access to them?

The latter situation can be addressed; I know some people in Pakistan who could deliver the books directly to you.

But even if they did -- are you fearful of the Pakistani religious courts?

Fear of reading material like Spencer's is something only you, Naseem, can remedy.

Or do you simply not want to read them?

Assalamau Laikum all,

Abdul says "The empty amoral degenerates at Georgetown who took this money are the end products of our heartless and souless culture. The post-modern westerner has no vision beyond his bank-account and his crotch".

Yes Abdul, and the West revels in this ....a godless, childless society (full of black dogs, cats and pigs) like yours has no where to go or to expand into.

It needs the injection of new ways of living and fresh ideas...these will be provided by the Islamic thinkers that I talked about earlier.

To the modern westerner...the prophet Jesus PBUH did not die for your sins...he died for himself...because this highest concept of shaeed is lost upon your sorry lily white asses...things must change....and that's where your friendly neighbourhood imam comes in....book a consultation now Maggie....don't leave it, DO IT.

Assalamau Laikum Witness,

Unfortunetely I have not read any of Mr Spencer's books. Ordering them to Pak is not an option for me.

I have no fear of reading any material, particularily from authentic Islamic sources which Mr Spencer says he used.

I will be reading Mr spencer's book about Muhd SAW...but when I next get to Britain. I'll buy it...read it...and leave it there.

Naseem!

You've been studying Christian theology. Of course Jesus died for himself, because repairing the eternal God's honor stained by our willful sin was the most important part (Jesus being God, his subsistence in the substance, as Athanasius put it). It's not just about us. So few Christians understand this; I'm so proud of you. And you are the first Muslim I've encountered to recognize he was a shaheed. You go, girl!

makes me wounder how much the prince payed off thr univeristy rectors and dean

Concerned Citizen & Naseem,

You are both correct, albeit in a round-a-bout way. Because of sin, humanity was separated from God and subjected to death. By His incarnation and willing sacrifice, God restored that unity and defeated death. In that is our salvation.

"a godless, childless society (full of black dogs, cats and pigs) like yours has no where to go or to expand into."

That was a pretty weird thing to write. I thought you people liked cats. Did you mean apes?

@Naseem-

Which Izlam will it be: Shia Style or Sunni Style? Please tell us Kaffirs so we can study up and figure out who our new enemies are.
Thanks
Shukran Habiibi

Funny to hear how our so called "elite" are both venal and stupid.

The average American has more common sense and a better sense of survival then these pitiful individuals.

There are millions more of us, the common man, then there are university professors. We have a decided advantage in educating people about Islam. I myself (dips head modestly) do my own part in this effort, with some degree of success.

Plus, the muhajadeen don't have the patience and self restraint necessary to win this fight. Their lust for our blood will set the world against Muslims sooner rather then later. My bet is that the first crackdown will be in France.

I've got the popcorn and beer ready.

Habiibi,

Ahmadiyya style, the ones that blaspheme Jesus more than all the rest combined.

"One Ahmadiyya writer, following in the steps of his founder [Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian], once said 'Jesus excelled in nothing except deception and fraud. It is a pity that the ignorant Christians believe such a person to be divine' (quoted in Maududi, The Qadiani Problem, p.51)"
http://www.answering-islam.de/Main/Gilchrist/Vol1/9c.html

Fascinating she wrote PBUH, isn't it?

In the decades since I graduated from a Jesuit school, the Society of Jesus has morphed into the Society of Judas. This latest exercise in dhimmitude at Georgetown University is not surprising from an organization that, in the name of "liberation theology," attempted to force a synthesis of Catholicism and Marxism back in the sixties and seventies.

Faithful Catholics would be well advised to withdraw all financial support from the old mainline "Catholic" colleges and universities such as Georgetown which have sold out their Catholic identity. Instead, they should support the new, usually small Catholic institutions (such as Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia) which have maintained and actively nourish their Catholic orthodoxy and at the same time have been nationally recognized for their high academic standards.

Oh, and Naseem, the US is certainly not childless.

The people who didn't want children have essentially bred themselves out of the reproduction lottery. Their successors in the US will be those of us who value families and children, and who tend to be more conservative and more secure in our belief systems (and therefore much less likely to want to "dialogue" with Islam).

I expect lots and lots of lovely grandchildren in the coming years. The first is due in March.

So Naseem thinks 'Kuffars' are materialistic. Well, most of them are. Gross materialism at any cost is the order of the day. If it was not for 'western materialism' Naseem, you would not have cell phones, tv, or any of those other 'materialistic' things, from the west that you enjoy.
There is nothing more materialistic than Islam and muslims. Physically you believe that Allah created the entire Earth for muslims and 'Kafurs' are tresspassing, in SUV's no less...temporarily. On a personal level, all muslims excessivly and paranoically worry about getting into Allahs heaven/paradise. I would not blame you for worrying. Mohammad said only one in a thousand would make the grade and space was limited to 70,000. Maybe Mohammad was just joking around, but if not, those 70,000 recliner lounges are already in use. A 'NO VACANCY' sign is on the door and muslims are directed elsewhere. Downward mostly, where thing are a little warmer. Gross materialim takes many forms Naseem,...Islam has its, and muslims have theirs, and you have yours...

Interesting perspective apropos to this thread -

OCTOBER 22, 2006

It is difficult in history to find any civilization that asks as much of others as does the contemporary Middle East—and yet so little of itself. If I were to sum up the collective mentality of the current Arab Middle East—predicated almost entirely on the patriarchal sense of lost “honor” and the rational calculation to murder appeasing liberals and appease murdering authoritarians— it would run something like the following:

(1) We will pump oil at $3 and must sell it over $50— and still blame you for stealing our natural treasure

(2) We will damn your culture and politics, but expect our own to immigrate in the thousands to your shores; upon arrival any attempt to integrate Muslim immigrants into Western pluralistic society will be seen as Islamaphobic

(3) Send us your material goods, whether machine tools, I-pods, or antibiotics. We desperately want them, but will neither make the necessary changes in our own statist, authoritarian, religiously intolerant, tribal, and patriarchal culture to allow us to produce them ourselves, nor will show any appreciation for the genius of others who can do what we cannot.

(4) We ostensibly wish you to stop the killing of Muslims by ourselves and others—Milosevic murdering Kosovars, Saddam destroying Kuwaitis, Kurds, and Shiites, Russians killing Afghans and Chechnyans—but should you concretely attempt to do so, we will immediately consider your intervention far worse than the mayhem caused by others or ourselves.

(5) Any indigenous failure in the Arab Middle East will eventually be blamed on the United States or Israel.

(6) Your own sense of multiculturalism must serve as an apology for our own violent pathologies, that can only be seen as different from, never worse than, your own culture.

(7) We must at all times talk of anti-Americanism and why we want you out of the Middle East; you must never become anti-Arab or anti-Muslim, much less close your borders to our immigrants and students.

(8) We will tolerate and often defend those who burn churches, ethnically cleanse Jews from our cities, behead priests, kill nuns, and shoot infidels as the necessary, if sometimes regrettable, efforts of our more zealous to defend Islam. But if any free spirit in the West satirizes Islam, we will immediately demand that Western governments condemn such blasphemy—or else!

(9) Material aid—billions to Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, or the Palestinians—is our entitlement. Any attempt to curtail it is seen as an assault on the Arab nation.

(10) We are deathly afraid of nuclear Russia, China, and India who have little tolerance for either Islamism or terrorism, and so will ignore their felonies, while killing you for your misdemeanors.

Hanson concludes in his book "Carnage and Culture":

Western values such as political freedom, capitalism, individualism, democracy, scientific inquiry, rationalism, and open debate form an especially lethal combination when applied to non-Western societies, who may win the occasional victory when warring against a society with these Western values, but the "Western way of war" will prevail in the long run. It is not necessarily more (or less) moral, than war as practiced by other cultures, but the "Western way of war" is unequalled in its devastation and decisiveness.

Naseem, time to come back to Earth.

http://www.strategypage.com/qnd/india/articles/20061024.aspx

"Currently, pro-terrorist tribal religious leaders are calling for a period of mourning, to honor the hundreds of Pakistani tribesmen killed in Afghanistan over the last few months. The survivors of these battles are returning to their homes in Pakistan, and telling of their adventures across the border (which consisted mostly of terrorizing or killing civilians, or burning down schools.)"

Our blonds put the boots to them.

Assalamau Laikum Witness to you too Naseem.

Your weakness is all too evident.
You come on here crowing about a minor acomplishment , as you perceive it, of the small time corruption of a small time university departement.
The childish thrill you exhibit at the manipulation of the "kafur" as you put it is just as pathetic.
With this non event you extrapolate into the stratosphere with your dreams of western conquest.
A conquest that you muslims could never acheive by military means beacause you are weak, weak, weak.
Let me remind you of an old adage "ALL POWER IN THE END IS MILITARY" and you muslims have none.
Accept it you are a corrupt and stagnant people with nothing to live for except the dreams of bettering the west - how pathetic.
No naseem this will never come to pass. The west will eventually be forced to deal decisively with the muslim question and it will not be pretty.

have a nice day

Haven't heard from any Georgetown students on this one.

This is the same strategy which they have used to create Eurabia. Amerabia anyone?

BTW: read Mark Steyn's book, "America Alone". The demographics here are not favorable to a Muslim takeover of US, as is already happening in Europe.

It is for this reason, however, that I believe we will see much more work done to increase immigration of Muslims to US.

"It is not necessarily more (or less) moral, than war as practiced by other cultures, but the "Western way of war" is unequalled in its devastation and decisiveness." -- Victor Davis Hanson

1) The Western way of war considered in the abstract (abstracted from goals and ethical theory of conduct) may not be "more (or less) moral" than other ways of war, but when that abstraction is restored to the real world of goals and ethical theory of conduct practiced, it is more moral.

2) The Western way of war is "unequalled in its devastation and decisiveness" for clear reasons: technological and scientific excellence, which cannot thrive without the ethical superiority of which the modern West is also unequalled among cultures in history.

johnmac -

Naseem's double-messages frustrate me as well. I call it her cloak-and-dagger approach to reaching the poor lost souls of America who are in need of her caustic religion.

Tough sell, Naseem!

Naseem -

Jesus died for your sins as well; He died for the sins of the world.

Maybe the Georgetown Christians can find a catacomb where they can worship in secret. How fitting that the University shares its sense of tolerance with its new Saudi masters. Alumni might want to consdier not sending money.

Taking money to promote the "enemy of our souls"
I would hate to stand before the Judgement Seat if I were these people. Of course they will say "have we not cast out demons in your name?"
And Jesus will say "Depart from me, I never knew you."

Right you are, Carolyn2!

Naseem is the life of this party. When s/he speaks, we yell. When s/he responds, we rage apoplectically and the thread just grows and grows.

Gotta love her even if she is a fake.

Actually Naseem I do agree with a lot of your sentiments about the west's obsession with materialism. But don't forget, many of the media reports and TV coverage is dominated by the loony left. The loony left will pass soon and I think that you will find a new, more right wing generation will come through. The left loves its spin and deception and proclaims itself holy and above reproach - but eventually they will go. And many of the people in the UK have abandoned God, trashing their historic inheritance and replacing it with anything that will claim to fill the one place in man's heart reserved wholly for God. Money normally does it, hedonism comes a close second, work often follows... in the end they cannot bear meaning because God has not allowed them to replace Himself. The book of Ecclesiastes is a summary of a rich man's experiences in his quest to find happiness - but at the end concludes that remembering God (with its subsequent obligations) is the only thing worth doing, the only thing that gives meaning.

Hey, I have a joke. THis is doing the rounds in the UK, where 'mailboxes' are simply thin slits in the front door, about 10cm x 40cm or so.

Anyway, the joke goes (no offense intended naseem), "A muslim woman knocked at my door last night. I didnt open it but talked to her through the mailbox to see how she liked it"

Naseem:

You say

I will be reading Mr spencer's book about Muhd SAW...but when I next get to Britain. I'll buy it...read it...and leave it there.

I would encourage you to read Spencer's other books as well, esecially the Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam.

Again, it is not what you might think by reading the cover -- the information does come from reliable sources and nowhere does he make an effort to insult anyone.

At least in Spencer's writing and presentations I do not see evidence of anything less than reliable; all of his sources can be independently verified as well.

I am curious about why you want to leave the books in Britain and not have them delivered to Pakistan?

I understand about the blasphemy laws, but Spencer's material does not question islam -- it only elucidates certain fundemental points again from a neutral perspective.

Do read them, and let me know at some point, what you think.

By the way, it is not interesting how I, of all people, can be labeled a "muslim?"

I think the label is because I have not gone out of my way to be rude to you, Naseem.

But then, considering all the gods available for worship in this world, I tend to favor Jesus as protrayed in the New Testament.

Frankly, from the texts, he is very likable to my way of thinking and his message about himself from the gospel called John, is agreeable also.

So, if by any standard, there is evidence however thin, that I could be called a "Christian" I would find no reason to be rude to you from any Christian text -- just because you are a muslim.

And I fail to see how this makes me a muslim either, but oh well.

Naseem - It's a shame you don't have the freedom to read what you like in your own country, but must sneak out of the Caliphate to the U.K. I am not a religious man, but I am thankful that others have died to maintain the freedom I currently enjoy to read, say and think what I like, without having to worry that I might be beaten or murdered for doing so. I will gladly risk my own life fighting to make sure that those who live in the U.S. after I am gone enjoy liberty.

I've got a friend who is an alumni of Georgetown. I emailed him the story immediately. If enough almuni are notified of this, particularly the exclusion of evangelical Christians, perhaps enough of a stink can be raised that not only will Georgetown have to reconsider, but Esposito might be cut down in size a bit.

Wow, Naseem. That was some surprising racism there, especially regarding blonde women. 'Lilly white asses' too. Do your children know you have these sort of sentiments? And now you think Jesus was a shaheed? Does it fill you with pride to attach islamic rage to a peaceful figure? Similarly, do you think this has been done to Mohammed?

As for your rambling, incoherent predictions...I'm beginning to wonder if you can really sense the mood.

I wouldn't worry too much about my children being "wuslims".

I'd worry more about your own children being "wuslims".

Geoff

And why "black dogs"? Why not just "dogs"? Are dogs, like urine, feces, women and kufr not sufficiently naij unto their own right? Why "black" dogs, Naseem?

Don't run away as usual. Answer.

Prophet Geoff

"Prophet Geoff"....LOL!!!!!

What a thoroughly disgusting and depressing story. Why are such "bridges" necessary in the US? Has Saudi Arabia become such a beacon of tolerance that now it seeks to lead the West into a new era of brotherhood? Are we to see a new generation of Western politicians groomed for leadership, preparing to be installed on the Saudi payroll and sell out the principles of liberty and freedom of conscience that so many have paid for with their lives? The Saudi princes seem to have a nice lifestyle, after all, so maybe there are some who seek to grab a bit of it before the iron burqa comes down altogether.

What's left for those of us not so well connected? Resistance. Not just by posting on blogsites such as here but by writing letters to the editors of newspapers, university trustees and yes, even to the politicians. There may some people yet in those positions who realize they have a responsibility to the public, academic freedom and the electorate. Catholics could pursue the issue even further by contacting the Vatican. Now's the time to exercise that Freedom of Speech we've heard about since childhood. Make a ruckus.

Naseem-

I have ready rant after rant by you. If Islam is a religion how come you have never shown the least particle of the sublime, the sacred, the enlightened, the 'all-ecompassing' the transcendent.

Listen to your own braying, bragging, taunting, ugly voice. It is the voice of Islam.
You have no idea. Not a clue.

Meant to say above: "I have already heard...

poetcomic1 -

Good observations about Naseem and her religion. Here's another observation; it's one that Jesus made about people like Naseem and their evil/false religion:

In Matthew 7:15-20, Jesus says this....

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves".

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit".

"A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

It's fairly obvious that Jesus is referring to Islam and it's followers -- oh -- and lets not forget Islams's false prophet, Mohammad.

Islam is founded on lies, hatred, murder -- the list goes on and on -- so it stands to reason that it's followers would produce the same behaviors (or fruit) described by Christ.

A premier American educational institution is converted to a madrassa. Apparently, the "scholars" at Georgetown never bothered reading Gibbon's "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire."

I am a poor man.

But God will provide. From where, from whom, I care not, know not. It will come...Field of Dreams...

I hereby offer $20,000,000 (U.S.) to any Saudi university in Riyad, S.A., to create an institution of Christian/Islam Understanding to Further the Glory and Benefit the Name of Christ in that Desert.

The goal of such institute will be to put on workshops regarding Christianity, womens rights and safety, protection of the weak, the different, the abused, to foster exchanges with the Christian World, to address Saudi policy toward the Christian World, working on the relationship of Christ with the lost sheep in the Arab World, addressing Christian relief and liberties for God's lost children, and developing exchange programs for evangelical Christian missions to minister to the hurt, the sick, the searching, the peace-seekers, the meek, the loved and those who want love, the lost...

Please email Director/JihadWatch and it will get to me. Proof of standing required on application. Blessings to the Peace-Makers. Blessings to you.

PS: Jesuits need not apply.

I think I will forward this to the Archbishop (Weurl) of Washington, recently installed and formerly of one of the Pennsylvania dioceses, my hometown area.

I hereby offer $20,000,000 (U.S.) to any Saudi university in Riyad, S.A., to create an institution of Christian/Islam Understanding to Further the Glory and Benefit the Name of Christ in that Desert

Naturally, they won't take the money. Nice try however. There are about a billion reasons why they won't of course.

You might try Harvard or Yale Law Schools. They seem more motivated by cash, especially $20 mil USD.

Triple it, and the Jesuits at Geortown may turn Catholic again.

Good Luck.

This is all part of the process of Islamization. From Daniel Pipes site: How to convert American schoolkids to Islam.

Two items: watch out Schenectady, you're going to get Muslim cops, straight out of the mosque.

http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=526597&category=REGION&newsdate=10/18/2006

Sorry - but where the hell is Schenectady?

It will soon be very important to ask which school your representative went too.

Assalamau Laikum Johnmac,

You say "You come on here crowing about a minor acomplishment , as you perceive it, of the small time corruption of a small time university departement".

JM, everything is smalltime to start with....there was a rumour that the grandcanyon was formed when a jew dropped a dime down a rabbit hole ....and he just had to find it.

Don't mock smalltime, obviously Mr. Spencer thought it was important enough to blog this.

Geoff , our imam always said that muslims liked black dogs least because they are harder to see when it's dark...you wouldn't want me to be racist against dog colour would you.

Seriously though, if you are so worried about Georgetown...why do you accept the money?...it's completely transparent to me why the money is being given ...also I know what YOU will lose (and gain)...this is not one department...this is the start of a chain.

The Kaffur puffs up at the money and profits that he has managed to generate over the years...so why does he need this money?...the kaffur will pay a heavy price for his greed.....Say salam to your grand-daughters for me...you don't pay the price but they will....but not to worry eh!!!!, Islam will take good care of them.

You may not like Naseem's message -- but the point is perfectly valid.

Perhaps Georgetown will grant Naseem a stiped to teach one of their workshops?

In that case Naseem, you will have bonus time to read more of Spencer's books.

Too bad about those blasphamy laws in Pakistan -- your immam would otherwise reading Spencer's books too.

"Truly I can see the dream....inshallah your childrens will yet be wuslims..."

Naseem, I think 'wuslims' was a typo (even if the word is actually humorously correct), so I read that word as 'muslims'. So pardon to others for my typically rude Americanism: Go f*ck yourself, Naseem. And take your pedophile warlord of a profit (piss be upon him) with you. We have the Second Amendment, and know how to use it.

Fury as BA says it would allow Muslim veil but not cross

British Airways has been accused of appalling double standards after admitting Muslim staff may be allowed to wear veils - just weeks after it sent a Christian home for wearing a cross.

Charles wants multi-faith coronation service

Prince Charles wants a multi-faith service when he is crowned King, it has been claimed

Prince Charles wants to be crowned King in a multi-faith coronation service in a dramatic break with tradition, it is claimed.

The Prince is said to have decided that the Christian service in Westminster Abbey must be followed by a separate ceremony involving religious leaders from other faiths.

When Charles sneezed, did he blow out his brains?

Is that why there's air up there?

Unbelieveable...what a class act...

Needless to say, those $20mil are not the only money the Georgetown Uni gets - I am sure they get much more in Government grants and tax concessions. However teh taxpayers' money come with no strings attached. Until that change, the economic rationale will push wacademics to get a bit on top from Saudis.

Naseem!!!!

Good to see you back thought you'd disappeared somewhere.

Can you answer the question about Islam but I put to you on another thread a couple weeks ago?

You remember how I described Ayatollah Khomeini's paper on correct Islamic procedure for Muslim men who have had sexual congress with goat's. For those of you who have not seen this I can tell you that basically he said that if a climax was reached the man was obliged to kill the goat. The goats meat could be eaten but only by those in the next town or village, not by his family or neighbours.

The question I asked Naseem then was that given there are few goats in places like Western Europe is any other small animal like a sheep or deer an acceptable substitute? Also is there any difficulty in disposing of the meat outside your immediate neighbourhood and how far in kilometres is the minimum distance before the meat can be eaten by other muslims? I assume it is all right to sell it to infidels without any restrictions?

If other posters copy this and ask Naseem nothing but this serious theological question every time he/she appears we may eventually get an answer and gain a better understanding of this aspect of islam.

Fred,

I still want to know what she thinks about Female Genital Mutilation.

Perhaps the Islamic Center at Georgetown will teach the answers to our questions next semester.

First, this article portrays yet again, the moral relativity that has been bred into our universities by the socialist, liberal elite for years. I am not surprised after reading frontlinemagazine.com's recent articles on the state of our universities. As for Esposito, I was recently in my international student office at my Dutch university when low and behold I discovered the latest print issue from ISIM. This of course is the, are you ready... the International Institute for the Study of Islam in the Modern World (still not quite sure how that acronym works). Anyway, this is a joint venture between several Dutch universities aimed at just what Esposito is trying to accomplish with the help of his Saudi Prince at the new Georgetown "understanding center". These magazines were of course placed where the free English newspapers are usually laid out, kind of strange don't you think. I was literally laughing out loud (catching strange glances from fellow international students) at how biased these articles were ( I especially loved the portrayal of the 34 day Israel/Lebanon war this summer) , but at the same time sad that the everyday student would pick this up and be further indoctrinated at how bad us westerners are and how good islam is. And who wrote the opening essay of this lovely propaganda magazine? Yep, John Esposito, and it was titled "Islamists and U.S. foreign policy”. A real gem if you ask me (www.isim.nl/content/content_page.asp?n1=4&n2=21&n3=13). This Georgetown development is just another reminder that Islam is on the march and that we better do something about it sooner than later.

Finally, how can I not respond to Naseem, and even Witness now. Naseem you really do add a chuckle to my day every time I read one of your posts. So thanks for that!

However, you and Witness think that we westerners are soooo greedy! Soo bad! Oh, and that we are too materialistic! Even worse right? And there are people posting here that are actually apologizing for our "greed" as Americans. Shame on them. Let me ask you this Naseem, and whoever else; do you know what money is? If I had my "Atlas" here I would write out every word of Francisco D'Anconia's speech to those partygoers who chastised "the greedy businessmen" or more simply put the "western" man. What is money? It is man's non-violent, physical means, used to trade value with one another. To be greedy is to value. Let me tell you Naseem, because of America's "greed" the past 230 years, this planet has experienced an unprecedented "age of enlightenment" that has brought forth advances in science, technology, medicine and philosophy that rocketed the human being literally out of the cave/shack, into the skyscraper/modern world. The same modern world whose living standards (including Saudi prince's and despotic Iranian dictator's) we all enjoy so much today.

Too greedy you say? No not greedy enough. The middle east and muslim states throughout the world are parasites to America and the rest of the west. They try and suck us dry and use our achievements, and then turn around and make us feel guilty for our ability to produce and make money. Something the religious and murderous cult of islam is incapable of doing. First, because it rejects reason as a means to deal with others and life in general. Secondly, because using violence as a means to deal with fellow man does not lead to the creation of anything, but the destruction of everything.

The only way we as the West will beat this march of islam is if we "shrug" off the unearned guilt that so many liberal, multi-culturists, (and now muslims) have been trying to cram down our throats for decades. We have to ultimately accept that the West IS superior to cultures that reject reason and embrace violence.

I hope that the value of being "greedy" and "materialistic" continue, for it is essentially the only defense we have in preserving our individual, “inalienable” rights and liberties that give mankind true hope, happiness, and freedom.

Please excuse me. I now need to tune into my webcast of the World Series, which is taking place over 4,000 miles away, that I now get to enjoy with nothing more than a laptop, a fine Belgian beer, and that "mysterious" wifi connection floating around in my room. Modern living, I love it. Go Cards!

The SJ are a disgusting lot. So are the other orders staffed with an influx of ex-hippies during the 60s & 70s who turned seminaries into gay bath houses with Bibles. Thus began the wave of priestly homosexual pedophilism over the past 30 yrs in the Roman Catholic Church in America.

610 * 623 * 732 * 1066 * 1215 * 1453 * 1492 * 1683 * 1928 * 1938 * 1948 * 1996 * 2001

But the Moslems buying into the SJ to subvert Christianity?

Oh brother.

There must be a Pope who can restore order to this miscreant tax-free institution that has sunk so very far since Pope Urban II announced that the Moslems had conquered Jerusalem and demanded satisfaction.

Perhaps you should read some of my other posts on JW before jumping to conclusions.

I live near the campus of a Jesuit institution. Catholicism is alive and well in the student body, in spite of the Jesuit presence.
It's actually kind of sad to see these antiquated hippies in their bow-ties and tweed jackets still pursuing that elusive "relevance" they worshiped back in the "good old days" post Vatican II. They are already passe, and have been.
Georgetown, like many suck institutions, has sold out. They think they're being "cutting edge" and responding to the real issues of the day, broadening the horizons of their students. But thank God for the vibrant youth. I would not be surprised if Georgetown, Fordham, Creighton, etc. will once again see men in cassocks within a generation, studying real theology, philosophy, Christian culture, etc.

As for Prince Charles' coronation ceremony, I would like to see the Abp. of Canterbury slap him across the face with the crown and excommunicate his sorry ass on the spot. He and his concubine can go live among their equals in Saud land, sip Turkish coffee, play polo all day and wife-swap all night.

After Eurabia, I can see that some people are busy building USrabia.
