If the Pope won't convert to Islam, maybe his website will. "Terrorism: Islamic Hackers Announce Attack On Vatican Website," from AKI, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
Dubai, 11 Oct. (AKI) - Islamic hackers allegedly supporting al-Qaeda claim they will launch an attack on the Vatican's official website on Wednesday night. Several internet sites which act as the mouthpieces of Islamic terrorism have launched an appeal in the past few days on hackers to attack the Holy See's site. The appeal has allegedly attracted dozens of hackers. Under the plan publicised by the fundamentalist sites, hackers will sabotage the website at 8 pm local time and continue to block it for the following 36 hours.
How about a retaliatory strike on jihadist sites?
I'd welcome them to succeed. It would be one of the successes that turn against them.
I wonder if the crazies will succeed. One would think this site would have been targeted by now if they were able to pull it off.
I have been told that the first time Islamic scholars stopped debate was under a Caliph of Cordoba when, after losing the argument between the Ibrahimic faiths, the Caliph simply declared the Quran supreme of all the scriptures. Does anyone know under which Caliph this took place? If true, its legacy is very much with us today.
So they plan to attack the Vatican website. Then the Pope will convert to Islam while urging all of his followers to do the same.
What a brilliant battle strategy! Anyone think it will work?

I think when the media use the phrase "Islamic hackers", they need to be more specific.

I'm ready to convert as soon as the Pope does. I'm sharpening my sword to behead infidels right now. Any Muslim who doesn't follow the brand of Islam these guys (and the Pope) follow will be in for a head chopping!
A plan so brilliant all I can say is "Durka, durka, durka."
: )
Indeed, special_guest! How funny.
Yes special_guest, it took me a second or two to get it but lol!
To paraphrase:
Song: Islam, Allahu Akbhar Yeah
al ummah islamiya ...

Coming again, to save the mother-Allahu-Akbharing day yeah,
al ummah islamiya , Allahu Akbhar YEAH!
Submission is the only way yeah,
Terrorist your game is on cause now you have us with you too,

What you going to do when we come for you now,
it’s the dream that we all share; it’s the hope for tomorrow
Islam - Allahu Akbhar YEAH!

These hackers heroically ramming the Vatican firewall are as comical as Trey Parker's wooden-headed "Team America:World Police" puppets. They think as well as the puppets do on their own as well. Mohammed is still the puppet master 1,400 years later. How pathetic.
Who visits the Vatican website?
It is good to see the Jihadists are as misdirected as ever.
"I think when the media use the phrase "Islamic hackers", they need to be more specific."
Special-guest-
Islamic Hackers, indeed. Brilliant humor.
It's not a dumb question meharistes =)
How many Catholics visit the Vatican Website regularly? Likewise, how many Americans visit the whitehouse.gov website?
Now contrast that with how many people use ebay, amazon or google.
That's why I say the Jihadists are misdirected and that is a good thing in my opinion.
GreatShaitan - they're wooden-headed puppets think throwing a few darts at the pope's picture is some glorious deed. They're ass-clowns.
I love it. I LOVE it. I wish Al Qaeda would announce ALL of their attacks.
If I were involved in electronic counterterrorism, I'd consider this the equivalent of the Japanese announcing the Pearl Harbor attack beforehand. Every Islamic fucknut with a computer will be revealing themselves online.
I'd be ready to trace, as best as I could, the IP info of every one. And use their hubris against them.
"Islamic hackers" = "military intelligence" = oxymoron.
From a practical point of view, most "hackers" I have heard about are extremely intelligent. Don't you think that the Vatican has its own "God Squad" ?
So......what's their plan? Are they planning to burn the Vatican's computer in effigy? Perhaps a good stoning of the server? I'm surprised they are sophisticated enough to hack a website, and believe in Islam at the same time. That's like having a degree and still believing in the Easter bunny. Oxymoronic, indeed.
They announced their intentions ahead of time... oh, these guys are some badass hackers.
Meharistes,
"Islam is all about death, nihilism, nothingness."
You left out the part about black rocks in Mecca.
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." -Jesus (John 15:18)
p.s. The Vatican web site is actually a great primary source of Church teaching, history, and papal documents, and is used by many around the world on a daily basis. More than symbolic, the hack attack would hinder serious research and the ability to find out what the Church is really all about.
I too visit the Vatican website occasionally if I want to find information or locate something doctrinal.
No, it's not ebay or amazon.com, but people DO visit it.
Really, really. Now I know that there are enemy agents using this site - put here to deliberately confuse and mislead us.
I mean, just look at Muzzl'em's comment (above):
"That's like having a degree and still believing in the Easter bunny. Oxymoronic, indeed."
That sort of thing is very easily disproved:
1) Easter eggs show up at my house every Easter.
2) Obviously something must bring the Easter eggs.
3) My father, an intelligent and learned man whom I love and respect deeply, told me that Easter eggs are brought by the Easter bunny.
4) My father would never lie to me; he is too great and kind a man for that sort of behaviour.
5) Therefore the Easter bunny is real and it doesn't matter whether you have a degree or not.
Honestly, people like that probably don't believe in Santa Claus, or fairies, or angels, or goblins, or imps, or the Loch Ness Monster, and probably they don't even believe in the yeti.
I ask you, what can one do with people like that?
Dominic.
So......what's their plan? Are they planning to burn the Vatican's computer in effigy? Perhaps a good stoning of the server?
Muzzl'em
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Thanks you gave me a good laugh Muzzl'em. I can just picture them doing that with screwed up hate filled faces.
I've had a crappy day and you've just cheered me up.
Hopefully some cleric will go one better and issue a fatwah against ALL of the internet and these Jihadihackers be forced to get jobs instead of sitting on their asses trying to hack Papal servers.
I wonder if they'll shout 'Allahu HACK bar!' before they attempt to destroy the cursed infidel Vatican server ?
I don´t think they would even try to do it, as much coward they are. Remember that in all their attacks they never warn before doing any of their crimes.
I found this:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/1999/12/30/vatican_defences_survive_threeday_hack/
So these guys, if they exist, have got their work cut out.
I was not a great fan of Ratzinger, 'The Grand Inquisitor.' As a gay atheist I have little reason to be.
But these muslims make me like him more and more. The defence of Western values is far more important than what the catholic church thinks of gay marriage.
Muzzl'em:
LMAO.
