Olmert Warns an Iranian Nuclear Weapon Could Fall into Hizballah Hands

Maybe Olmert should have kept this in mind about three months ago when he went after Hezbollah in a half hearted effort. He should have wiped them out completely. But not to worry-if they do get a nuke those UN peacekeepers will prevent them from using it, right?

"(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told cabinet ministers during Sunday’s weekly cabinet meeting that a nuclear weapon in Iranian hands would make its way to Hizbullah."

What Condi Rice (one example)does not understand, what I did not understand it at one time, is that Islam mandates, via God's direct orders in the Koran, that the Jews of Israel and elsewhere be considered a debased people (Apes and Pigs)and a particularly dangerous enemy of the Islamic belief-system and that (at best) they should only have dhimmi status in Dar-al-Islam. All the claims that Israel "stole land" etc.(the great Arab landowners sold land to the Zionists at top $)are excuses to take back land in Dar-al-Islam and put Jews in their place. A nuclear weapon might kill millions of Arabs but the Arabs would be martyrs for the belief-system cause. The issues here are never really the issues, the issue is the annihilation of Israel.

Israel is only one part of a larger picture that extends from Asia to Europe and into Africa (where Arabs are exterminating Negro Africans) and all is traced back to God's direct orders in the Koran. In the long term, the non-Muslim world must make sure that nuclear weapons do not get into the hands of the Jew-hater in Iran or other demented followers of the Islamic belief-system. Israel will only be one target of the Jihadists, who believe they are following the direct orders of God in the Koran that order them to convert or kill the unbeliever, or put them (Jews, e.g.)in their normal place where they understand they are a debased people, no better than "apes and pigs".

The very existence of Israel is a terrible insult to followers of the Islamic belief-system. Condi and others are naive to think that there can be a political solution re Israel. In that conflict, and in the larger world-wide conflict, the issue is the direct orders of God as mandated in the Koran.

Frank....just how most western leaders can blithely ignore the Koran I find to be incredible. If it were "just another book" I could understand but it is backed by almost 1350 years of nonstop aggression vs nonmuslims. Don't these morons even have som, eidea of hsitory?

I guess that doing yr homework yrself is no longer part of the necessary wardrobe for an aspiring or actual politician. Thus they are in the hands of those who do their situation reports. It makes you wonder just how vulnerable these people are to being seduced as they would be the PRIME targets for any lobbyist from yr local farmers group to Saudi or al qaedra agents.

The West's leadership is just repeating the error of the past. Mein Kampf outlined everything Hitler wanted to accomplish years before he took power and yet nobody cared to read it. It's the same with the Koran today. I'd venture to say many of those who post here know more about the Koran than most of these "leaders". Maybe it's because both Mein Kampf and the Koran contained a lot of outlandish ideas they weren't taken seriously. The problem is the followers of both were serious about their contents.

I think authorities are less informed on many matters than most ordinary people and must rely on specialists. People like Robert (e.g.) or Bernard Lewis are like physicians who practice a specialty in their field of scholarship. The real talent leaders must have is to recognize who really knows what they are talking about and who are really experts in their field. Right now, in the matter of Jihad, I get the feeling that the advisers to the current Administration are like dentists giving advice on brain surgery. It's obvious that Condi hasn't got a clue re the Islamic belief-system's role in the so-called Arab Israeli conflict. That's bad.

She has to start reading JihadWatch. It's a good place to start to understand the big picture.

Pakistan already has nukes, and, as I have posted repeatedly, is one coup away from being totally in the hands of Islamic fanatics.

This administration is failing to address real terrorist threats (Pakistan, N. Korea, Iran) and is instead spending lives and money to create a democratic state in Iraq, which, in the end, will be a staunch allie to Iran.

The only thing keeping Israel viable is the 50 to 200 nukes in its possession which the state-sponsers of terrorism know Israel will deploy to every corner of the middle-east if Israel is ever attacked by WMD. How long this M.A.D. situation can exist before some Muslim nutter decides to usher in a new "Age of Glass" is anyone's guess.

How crazy to even contemplate a nuke on Israel and how stupid to explode one close to your home.

If we ultimately cannot stop them, let them detonate nukes and murder millions. When their mythological savior doesn't show up in the face of real burning hell, maybe we can shelve Allah along with all the other non-existant gods to die for.

I used to regard armageddon scenarios as the fantasy of fanatics. Well,I guess I've become a fanatic. I see not one hopeful development in world events. And I hate to say this, but I've become completely indifferent at the prospect that hundreds of thousands (millions?) of human beings will have to die to rid the planet of the curse of izlam.

If Iran or Syria ever did manage "to wipe Israel
off the map" they need to understand they
would have to do more than absorb a large amount of casualties inflicted on them in return.

The muslim world has proven they are not mature or sane enough to have anything nuclear. It's like giving a four year old a pistol and saying go play with your friends. I really don't care that the muslims want to kill each other, but the effects of nuclear weapons would affect ALL of us. One way or another. They need to be stopped before they have a chance to use them.

Once anyone starts nuking, not only will lots of people get killed, but the land will unihabitable for a long time. Survivors will have to move off the land they have been fighting for.

I agree. It's only a matter of time. Anyone who looks at the situation there cannot be a happy bunny about what's coming in the future. I think we have the same presentiment re the last act of this play. Israel will survive, but it will be goodbye to the nutters and all that.
