Spencer: The Straw that Broke the Burqa

In FrontPage this morning I discuss the controversy over Jack Straw's recent remarks. News links in the original:

Jack Straw, the leader of the UK’s House of Commons and one of the most prominent members of the British Labour Party, has enraged British Muslims by saying on a BBC radio program that he would prefer that Muslim women not wear the niqab, or face veil. Replying to a question to that effect, Straw said: “Yes. It needs to be made clear I am not talking about being prescriptive but with all the caveats, yes, I would rather.”

Straw explained: “Communities are bound together partly by informal chance relations between strangers -- people being able to acknowledge each other in the street or being able pass the time of day. That’s made more difficult if people are wearing a veil. That’s just a fact of life….I come to this out of a profound commitment to equal rights for Muslim communities and an equal concern about adverse development about parallel communities. What I’ve been struck by when I’ve been talking to some of the ladies concerned is that they had not, I think, been fully aware of the potential in terms of community relations.”

About Muslim worries over their religious freedom, he remarked: “I understand the concerns but I hope, however, there can be a mature debate about this.”

No such luck. In Straw’s home constituency of Blackburn, protesters charged that he had betrayed them. Ibrahim Master, a Muslim and a Labour Party leader who worked on Straw’s last reelection campaign, said that Straw’s statements were “like a family member going against us….The Muslim community feels angry and let down.” Muslim protestors declared that they would continue protests until Straw apologized. Yaasmin Mubarak, on of the organizers of the protest, said she wanted Straw’s resignation: “Jack Straw is really in trouble here. We want him to apologise and will keep on protesting until he does. I feel outraged and want him out of his job. The majority of Muslim women want him out.”

Calls for Straw to resign for his relatively mild remarks, especially given his long history of solicitude for Britain’s Muslims, made Madeleine Bunting’s scolding of Straw in The Guardian particularly ironic. “So forget comfort,” she said, “and accept the starting point for any kind of tolerance: that it’s not easy, that it requires imagination, that it makes demands of us. Learn new forms of communication and your world expands.” But apparently the obligation of tolerance was entirely Straw’s responsibility, not that of the Muslim community.

And indeed, that may have been why some members of that community reacted so vehemently to what was from Straw simply an invitation to the assimilation and integration that European governments have been faulted in other contexts for not offering to Muslims. For Straw’s remarks came at a time when the British government (and notably Straw himself) has been particularly solicitous of Muslims in Britain -- making Straw’s comments about the veil unexpected both in their content and their source. Recently in Britain, the Sun tabloid revealed that in South London’s Belmarsh prison, Muslim prisoners were given book catalogues containing books exhorting to violent jihad – which they could freely order. Also, a Muslim policeman was excused from duty guarding the Israeli Embassy; although British officials hastened to insist that this decision was not made for reasons of political correctness, during the controversy it came to light that the policeman had been married by longtime British jihad leader Omar Bakri – raising additional questions about the vetting of applicants to the police force. These revelations of a certain softness toward jihad terror activity came at the same time as a Church of England briefing was leaked asserting: “One might argue that disaffection and separation is now greater than ever, with Muslim communities withdrawing further into a sense of victimhood, and other faith communities seriously concerned that the government has given signals that appear to encourage the notion of a privileged relationship with sections of the Muslim community.”

Of course, it may be precisely because of these and other indications of the British government’s race to accommodate jihadists and Muslims in general that Straw felt it necessary to apply the brakes, even slightly. And not all the Muslim reaction was negative. Saira Khan wrote in the Times that “the growing number of women veiling their faces in Britain is a sign of radicalisation….It is an extreme practice. It is never right for a woman to hide behind a veil and shut herself off from people in the community. But it is particularly wrong in Britain, where it alien to the mainstream culture for someone to walk around wearing a mask. The veil restricts women, it stops them achieving their full potential in all areas of their life and it stops them communicating. It sends out a clear message: ‘I do not want to be part of your society.’ Some Muslim women say that it is their choice to wear it; I don’t agree. Why would any woman living in a tolerant country freely choose to wear such a restrictive garment? What these women are really saying is that they adopt the veil because they believe that they should have less freedom than men, and that if they did not wear the veil men would not be accountable for their uncontrollable urges — so women must cover-up so as not to tempt men. What kind of a message does that send to women?”

But Haleema Hussein of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee of the U.K. unwittingly enunciated just how far apart Britain’s Muslim leadership and the British government are when she declared on BBC television that Straw “shouldn’t be allowed to comment on these kind of issues, this is a Muslim issue” (emphasis added). Freedom of speech simply wasn’t part of her calculus. It was one small indication that Britain from the community cohesion and mature debate that Straw was calling for in the first place were quite a long way off.

Good one Robert.

I read Madeline Bunting's column. It was infuriating.

Of course, the joker in the deck is that Muslims, in Britain or anywhere else, have no desire to be part of a community that includes "infidels." The hijab is a near-perfect expression of their disdain for the rest of us.

Straw might find this difficult to believe. Politicians often have trouble acknowledging unpleasant realities.

"Straw’s statements were “like a family member going against us….The Muslim community feels angry and let down.”

imagine if he'd said something relevent? like "blowing up trains and killing innocent people makes it dificult to blend in and be accepted into a society"

etc.

As most people who become politicians, Straw became a politician in order to avoid dealing with reality.

Now that it has hit him in the face, he is clueless as to how to respond to it.

Hammer. Nail. Head.

According to the muslims Jack Straw is not allowed freedom of speech, what an arrogant agenda they have. We are slowly seeing the polarisation of Britain, where I was born and love. I can see in a few years the de facto partitioning of parts of England and then the blood will flow. When and if that happens the Western part will certainly vote in a Fascist Government. One can always look on the bright side though, think of all the money they will save on not having to pay for all those yellow crescents they will have to sew on there cloths as they will be instantly recognisable, with of them all wearing bin liners. I hope I am dead and buried before it happens as I will have to hang my head in shame.

Why are these veiled women coming to see Jack Straw in the first place? My guess would be mostly for social welfare problems. Such as the housing allowance and payments for their outsized lay about family aren't high enough.

Assalamau Laikum all,

This is a very difficult subject for muslims. The veil is an integral part of Islam for firm believers.

It is like telling wild slutty womens in the west not to wear mini-skirts....you wouldn't put up with that would you?...(but give it time).

The veiling system does contains a number of advantages particularly in a (western) society where the rape, sexual molestation and disrespect of woman are very common. Some of them are listed below:

1. Veiling is a protection for Muslim woman against the behaviour of the wicked;

2. It is an identify of the Muslim that distinguishes her;

3. It gives her an honoured position in the society;

4. It acts as a barrier between men and women to keep them away from sins;

5. It is a means for observing chastity of woman;

6. It awakens the fear of Allah in the heart of man and woman and saves them from falling in the abyss of evil;

7. It teaches man to respect the veiled woman, provide her protection from the curious persons and ensure the uplift of the high morals and social values in the society.

Allah Ta’ala states, ‘And the show draw their veils over their bosoms.’ (24:31)

‘O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (except eyes to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed.’ (33:59)

Allah has forbidden man strictly from fornication and adultery. He has also forbidden woman from exhibiting her charm.

Regarding make-up and perfume, it is permissible for woman to wear them in front of her husband and closely related members of the family as Allah states, ‘They will not reveal their adornment except to their husband or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women.’ (24:31)

Note however the veil is not considered essential by the Ahmadi...I don't wear a veil. It is the sunni that really like it.

Peoples, we all know that the coming of Islam for Eurabia and in good time the ISA is inevitable. Strongly consider Ahamadi as the favoured flavour of Islam for your grandaughters....they may not be able to wear mini-skirts any longer...but atleast they will not need to wear a veil....you know it makes sense....they will no longer be molested...and blondies will be better protected for hiding their hair.

Naseem ... you waste your time posting such retarded crap here. No one who comes to this site is sucked in by Muslim con men. Plus your arrogant tone is laughable. The ummah has nothing of accomplishment to be arrogant about. Islam does nothing for the world. However your much hated Jews are in the forefront of scientific and medical advances and research

Islam does nothing for the world. All your phony charities help only your fellow Muslims. You are selfish, stupid and vain. Blame your Muhammadan brainwashing for that. It only makes you stupid

Muslims are arrogant because they think only they know God. When the sad reality is your Muhammad is false prophet and your Allah is nothing but an idol your Muhammad plucked from the pantheon of the pagan Arabs and elevated him among all other idols. Then evil Muhammad stole and appropriated the Kabaa from the pagans

The Muslim veil is a symbol of of woman's slavery to her male masters. It also reflects the Muslim males inability to control his animal senses in his relationship to women.

It depicts them as aliens in Western society and the fact that they refuse to integrate or enter into any kind of debate relating to their antiquated life perspective and alliance to death and violence should prove to Mr. Straw that they do not belong in Western societies.

As far as Naseem's comments, again I quote Plato, those who live in cave believe that the shadows on the wall represent reality and begin to conceive notions that allow them to relive with accepting that false reality.

Naseem, believe me, we will resist the deluded lies and nonsense that is "Islam" with our last breath. I would rather my grandchildren were dead that were Muslims.

‘They will not reveal their adornment except to their husband or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women.’ (24:31)
The first and perhaps foremost important aspect of this is the incest that is prevalent in Islamic societies...
"Ibrahim Master, a Muslim and a Labour Party leader who worked on Straw’s last reelection campaign, said that Straw’s statements were “like a family member going against us" . Crikey!! How do you think we feel having welcomed muslims into our world to see them whine and bitch about the most inane things such as piggy banks, crosses, ice-cream curls, I could go on and on and on and on...

Well, the Propher (piss be upon him) himself was a pedophile. The Holy (or actually unholy) Koran in 33/21 says that the Prophet is an example for others to follow. At least further instances of Aisha won't occur with the presence of the veil.

Also, the Prophet (piss be upon him) slept with his own daughter-in-law after seeing her in a semi naked state. The actually unholy Koran says that (33/21) the Prophet is an example for others to follow. The veil may actually prevent the occurrence of many more Zainabs.

So, Mr. Naseem, you are unwittingly right about the veil. Only, don't blame the blondes and the beauties of the Western civilization who are the product of freedom, aspiration, art and grace. Remember that a thing of beauty is joy forever.

Blame your Prophet who was a fornicator, a debaucherer and a lecherer. Yes, Muslim women need to protected from the legacy of their Prophet.

Naseem
Like all Muslims your arrogance will be your Undoing. You are SO sure Europe and the West will crumble under Islam without realising our Infidel World is Light Years ahead in Technology and just about everything else.
Muslims tell each other how weak and effete Westeners are-don't mistake our tolerance and kindness for weakness, dearie.Once roused we will show you the Berserker strain in all Germanic tribes;did you think we got to where we are pussyfooting around with savages from the Stone Age?Your disgusting Hellholes imprinted with the Muslim stamp of squalor, lack of hygiene and constant reading of Koran-a friend has recently returned from Turkey & remarks what a filthy, backward place-are certainly NOTHING to boast about...Also our women NOT being weighed down with nasty black tents, able to swim, run and fight will easily overcome yours who have vitamin
deficiencies, rickets, and are permanently blinkered by rolls of cloth not to mention old & broken down by 40 yrs with constant child bearing.Suggest you convert ASAP to another religion for "By their nightshirts, towels wrapped
around heads, burkas and veils"we shall know Muslims and Deport 'em-Day of Reckoning is ticking away so don't delay,Naseem.

Naseem

I started to read your post, but when I got to this bit:
"It is like telling wild slutty womens in the west not to wear mini-skirts".

I understood all I needed to know about where you were coming from. Are women(s) in mini-skirts slutty because of the fact that they choose to wear a mini-skirt, or because you find it rouses your uncontrollable urges? I often wonder why in Western society some men who hold strong views about why women should wear veils aren't jumping every female they see who isn't wearing one - you know, mounting them in the streets like feral animals.

So anyway, I skipped the rest of your post, and I scrolled down the page to the bottom where my eye was caught by this:

"Peoples, we all know that the coming of Islam for Eurabia and in good time the ISA is inevitable."

Bollocks, pal. For a start, we're not going to willingly enter into a condition of slavery. We'll fight if we have to, and we'll make sure we win because our freedom depends on it. There is nothing else in the world that better motivates a will to resist.

Assalamau Laikum all,

DennisW said "you waste your time posting such retarded crap here".

I beg to differ. Islam is in the west in a very big way...however neither their aleination towards you or vice-vera helps the situation of integration.

We muslims however have the fundamental problems of not going against the wishes of the divine revelations...generations of muslims have lived successfully like this...Mr. Straw tries to pollute and muddy the waters.

I am not wasting time here because you must need to know what difficulties the muslimas are facing...now not only amongst their own community but against prominent politicans too.

In the next election Straw will be replaced by a muslim MP...in a place like Blackburn this will be easy.

Soon over the new decade this will be replicated all over the towns and cities of Britian like a lave flow.

you must remember that Islam like a lave flow...nothing can withstand Allah's divination.

remember when the lava flow solidifies a new hard rock is formed...black and pure....like Islam.

Welcome to the brave new world, where the viel for womens will be set them free of discrimination.

Naseem

If you and your ilk cannot control your impulses, you should be informed that we take this as a pre-civilized attitide.

Having said that, I have some more information for you

- The Muslim Brotherhood planned to take over Europe in 2000
- The Turks planned to have some 11 million Turks in Germany by 2005 (there now are 3.5 m)
- Al-Qaida plans to take control of Europe by ca 2017

I suppose you fit into one of these groups.

Keep trying.

Nasseem says "Soon over the new decade this will be replicated all over the towns and cities of Britian like a lave flow."

This is islam-fantasy-land. You are demonstrating that you have no understanding whatsoever of the British, or of their Judeo-Christian tradition.

Naseem says: "We muslims however have the fundamental problems of not going against the wishes of the divine revelations".

This is called slavery.

In Christianity we are MADE FREE so that we can choose how we live. If we choose a good life, then we are rewarded. But there is also an emphasis in Christianity that means that part of leading a good life means showing compassion to our fellow man. This we must do as well as honouring God. Indeed, in the Bible we are told that we should resolve our problems with our brother even before we go to the altar. We are implored by Christianity to forgive those who have trespassed against us, as we ask God for forgiveness.

And the thing to understand that even though a lot of Westerners are not Christians, their Humanism is inspired by the common sense teachings of Christ. Do unto others as you would have done to yourself - this is a true philosphy of peace.

Naseem, get yourself a New Testament, and ask God to forgive you. Make yourself free.

The koranic suras on veiling were unveiled at the request of Umar

Umar was a peeping tom who liked to watch the prophets wives urinate in the fields at night and he called out to Sauda , one of the prophet's wives

Naseem, its people like you that keep these sort of websites going! As other people have observed, its MUSLIM men that Muslim women have to be protected from. Thankfully in this country we have laws to protect women. Western countries respect women, Muslim countries view women as a Muslim man's property. Thankfully the Muslim point of view will never hold sway in this country, and don't worry the crusades are making a comeback tour! Watch out Mecca!

To Naseem, rape is much commoner in Muslim countries, its just the women can't come forward - they are blamed for being raped in a Muslim society.

Straw wants the veils off because it reminds him he betrayed Britain by allowing this to happen. Its because he has pushed immigration and pushed giving them what they wanted, and he now sees this was the greatest betrayal in the history of England that he wants the veil off.

Jack Straw is one of England's greatest traitors, and the veil reminds him of it. Moreover, it reminds others, which is what he really wants to stop.

Yo Naseem, found work yet? Your brothers still living on the Yankee dollar?

The very high incidence of rape in Muslim countries probably dispays the supremacy of the Muslim man over the Muslim woman.

I would not be supprised that most of the women held their heads in shame for being raped or being allowed of being raped. This is why they wear the veil?

Nasseem

you write:

remember when the lava flow solidifies a new hard rock is formed...black and pure....like Islam.

izlam is black, unyielding, obdurate and stupid like a stone.

Is that why you guys worship the black meterorite stone in mecca?

Naseem, don't be so sure Jack Straw will lose his seat next election. In fact it may be a tactical move, labour is continuing to lose support from muslims as people like John Read the home secetary WAKE up to the threat posed by you lot.
Instead of continuing to suck up to the muslims in his constituency and achieve little maybe he is thinking about the 75% majority that isn't muslim. Who I can guarantee largelly approve of his comments, it maybe just the issue to get people voting who tend not to.
I suspect turn out to be much higher in Blackburn next election, and a very interesting result it will be.
Don't underestimate the British people, push them hard enough for long enough and they will push back harder than you will expect!

The never ending polarizing polemics from an ideology that refuses to assimilate into western cultures simply does not belong there.

Naseem,

Allah has forbidden man strictly from fornication and adultery. He has also forbidden woman from exhibiting her charm.

Don't you think it's time for Allah to close the goat/sheep loophole?

Hey Naseem:

This is Sahih Bukhari

Volume 5, Book 58, Number 188: Narrated 'Amr bin Maimun:

During the pre-lslamic period of ignorance I saw a she-monkey surrounded by a number of monkeys.
They were all stoning it, because it had committed illegal sexual intercourse.
I too, stoned it along with them.

That's plain stupid.

Welcome to the forum, caveman Naseem. Clearly you are a troll. In the 2000 years that you have been in the cave life had moved on. Humans have discovered science, civilization, ideas like progress, freedom, liberty, equality, democracy and other escoteric concepts your prehistoric brain cannot conceive. Your medieval ideas merely amuse, betraying a mind unburdened by refection, introspection, undestanding or the ability or willingness to learn new things. All you offer is self-righteousness,judgement, ignorance and mind closed to new ideas.

Yet you are feel to bask in your ideas in your society with people like you, we will not come there and impose ourselves, Saudi Arabia is just the sort of society you are fantasising about, but like you they too have strong opinons and if you are not the right shade of muslim they will not hesitate to resolve this with a sword. Being a barbarian has its costs.

But here your backward ideas will only invite derision and amusement but we will not kill you for it, just encourage you to grow up. You see there is more to a woman than just your desire to have sex with her, there are nuances here you will have to learn to pick up, like not thinking bad thoughts when you see a woman in a miniskirt. She could be naked in hyde park but that doesn't mean a thing about her as a person or her values, its not an invitation for you to fuck her or judge her, you will have to learn not to jump to these conclusions. She doesn't care what you think, she is an independent person and she will decide how she wants to live. Your opinions don't matter. You will have to learn to live with this dimished importance of your own ideas. But the good news for you is civilized socitey is tolerant and welcoming. it will take time but you will learn.

About Muslim worries over their religious freedom, he remarked: “I understand the concerns but I hope, however, there can be a mature debate about this.”

How can one have a mature debate with this bunch?
They act like three olds screeching "No sharia, no peace".

You want to wear a shroud? Go to Iran and leave England to the English. Internment and deportations until these nuts get the message!

Naseem, As a Pakistani woman, what is your opinion of the Women Protection Bill in Pakistan? Do you believe that a woman must have 4 uninvolved male witnesses to prove a rape, or be convicted of adultery per the Koran?

The veiling system does contains a number of advantages particularly in a (western) society where the rape, sexual molestation and disrespect of woman are very common.

Rape is in fact rare. (Regrettable sex is not rape, regardless of what some feminists will tell you.) Stranger rape is extremely rare. Fewer and fewer non-Muslim men have been behaving inappropriately in the UK over the last 30 years - we've even taught them how to behave on building sites, for heaven's sake - and the only disrespect I regularly receive is from 14-year-old Pakistani boys following me around asking where I live and whether I'm married.

The reason I didn't walk around in a swimsuit this summer is not that I was afraid of being raped. I just didn't want people thinking, 'Oh for God's sake, what does that woman look like?'

Oh, and Naseem: have you noticed that several of your numbered points are the same point expressed in different words? I've noticed this about Muslims. They can never explain anything. You ask them to explain what they've just said, and they simply rephrase it. Not great thinkers, Muslims.

WSW

"you must remember that Islam like a lave flow"

Actually, it's more like the flow of diarrehea.

Naseem,

Why do martyrs go to heaven and meet 72 virgins and beautiful little boys "like pearls?" Is this to satisfy the Muslim members of NAMBLA?

Sincerely,

Naseem,

One more question:

Why are 75% of the women in Pakistani prisons there for being raped? Shouldn't the men who did it be in prison? Just wondering.

Sincerely,

I was thinking about cutting my blonde hair short - I'm a bit tired of fighting with it - but after reading certain posts I think I'll grow it nice and long.

Naseem, you wear whatever you want. I'll open my own veins before I wear a veil.

I was looking at Islamic modesy riles and came across this:
"More of the awrat could be exposed to close relatives within the confines of the home (24:31, 33:55). A close male relative is not allowed to see a woman's nakedness except what is between the navel and the knee [!!]. The regulations of hijab are relaxed for an elderly woman with no hope of marriage (24:60)"

Has this pasaage been mistranslated? I wonder if the final sentence applies to Naseem, in which case it's easy for her to talk.

from
http://www.crescentlife.com/articles/islamic%20psych/human_sexuality_and_shariat.htm

(assuming that Naseem isn't a Muslim transvestite in bradford or whoever happens to be on the keyboard of the computer in some jihadi drop-in centre somewhere)

You will notice that when we point out something indefensible in Islam, such as the Pakistani rape laws, Naseem never, EVER responds.

Well, Jeff, sometimes it's just fun to feed the trolls. Hehe.

JeffS,

No kidding. As I posted over 4 hours ago on DW:

"Notice how Naseem is over at JW busying herself/himself/itself ("Straw Unveiled") with defending the veil and getting misty over your granddaughters having to suffocate under it. She/he/it never comments on articles about Pak, so as to defend HER/HIS/IT'S granddaughters from being RAPED by MUSLIMS with impunity."

So what is more important, Naseem? The precious VEIL or your granddaughters getting f_cked by soon-to-be impious Muslims?

StillFedUp,

You know, when you changed your moniker, I was wondering if it was still you.

I'm glad you're still here.

Naseem,
Peace be with you. As a former WSW (TM?), I can assure you that modesty is not simply about clothing but attitude. And covering up in a hijab but leaving various other areas of flesh exposed definitely doesn't fit a definition of modesty that I know, except maybe one according to Islam.
Naseem, I've read your comments for a while now and your words and those of so many Muslims tell me one really big thing about Islam: It is a religion of appearances, outward show, conformity and blind submission. There is NO regeneration of the person's mind, character or heart.
I have a friend who attends English classes for immigrants, among whom are some fully veiled Muslimas. After a series of conversations with her classmates, she told me (and I quote) "They may look all modest from the outside in their veils but they have the most lustful thoughts about men". Naseem, it ain't about the veil!!
One final thing, Naseem, if your religion can't change you (for the better), change your religion.

Tony Blair's lies are only surpassed in this current political sphere by moslem lies.

how to deal with such ladyophopia as

"wild slutty womens in the west not to wear mini-skirts"????

I think there should be much more education of moslems about certain basic truths like:
"if you are married leave other women alone"
"if a woman doesn't want you then stop asking"
"you relate to women by being able to hold a conversation and maybe if you can do that they may want to hold your penis"

Clearly some moslem humans, in their treatment of women, are not true humans and if other moderate humans condemned them, then maybe they would not get away with being radicalised and blaming things like mini-skirts and testosterone for their extreamist attitudes.

Whilst I think it sad that some women do market their bodies and that shows low self esteem in some cases, under no circumstances is a man not being able to control his lust acceptable.

The problem in this multicultural world is that western lady tourists in certain mid east places are victoms of ladyophobia because they are unrelentingly propositioned by locals who want a "slutty woman".

However, it is so bad in areas with a large asian population in the UK that the following converstion was reported to me.

- Why not send your wife round to corner to pick up x from the shop
- No way am I sending her to get stared at and harassed by bearded men, would you send your wife out unaccompanied here?

(Actually the eastern eurupean in question, not being so multiculturaly sensitive as locals, used much harsher elaborations about the bearded men)

The fact is that in areas with many moslems women are not comfortable walking around, no matter what they are wearing, because of the letcherous bearded freaks.

I know one woman (always modestly dressed) propositioned on many occasions by old and married beards.

BTW rape of women is lower outside the moslem world and don't forget so is rape of young boys.

Yes Naseem makes two spiteful remarks which show her ignorance and/or malice.
1) it is ridiculous to make assumptions about someone's sexual habits based on their dress. Many women who dress in revealing clothes do so because they are confident, and have self-respect enough to choose their sexual partners discriminatingly. "Slutty" is a term used by patriarchal societies, and discriminates against women as usually men with lots of sexual partners aren't given insults like this. It has been proven that women who dress in mini-skirts aren't more likely to be raped for example as the inadequate men who tend to perpetrate these crimes are put off by confident women. However it suits for example Muslim countries to blame women for being raped, as we see from the Pakistan rape laws. I think probably Naseem is jealous of the attention confident women attract from men, inc Muslim men.
2) the comment about blondes is clearly and inexcusably racist. Muslim supremacist in action I fear! Would you like comments about Arabs/Asians/anyone with brown skin?

Thanks Catlover, the blonde remark irritated me too. You summed it up better. Normally I ignore things but I couldn't let that go. NOW I think I'll grow my hair long like a freak flag. It will say for me those two little words you can't always say when you'd really like to...

Goldielox, a blonde you shouldn't provoke.

Assalamau Catlover, Goldielox,

Believe me when I tell you that I do not mean to be racist when talking about Blondes.

You see there seems to be some sort of pecking order when it comes to define "Kafurness". Simply being an unbeliever is not enough...it has to do with how one would look and how difficult it may be to convert someone.

A blond/blondie is the epitome of kafur....i.e. for Islam you cannot be a worse combination of Kafur AND being blond.

No rasicsm intended....that's juat the way things are you know!

I don't care what's intended, it's offensive.

I said yesterday that you can wear whatever you want but I'd open my veins before wearing a veil or hijab, and it's true. And if someone tries harming me over it, I'll open THEIR veins before I wear a veil or hijab. The pecking order does not apply to me. It never did apply to me. It never WILL apply to me.

-Goldielox, perturbed, proud, pale-haired Protestant

Naseem: your ideoligy of Islam and the infidel has really made me open my eyes and mind. Because of you, Naseem, I want to know Allah and dedicate my life to him. I want to become whole physically, spiritually, emotionally, in every way that is Islam. I feel that we are kin, Naseem. Two spirits living this short, yet wonderful life that Allah has graced upon us. One day we shall meet in paradise and be with our creater, the beautiful, wonderful Allah. Allah speed, Allah speed. PBUH. Naseem, please grow a brain, and some balls while you're at it.

Naseem,

Why is so much homosexuality and bestiality practiced in Muslim countries?

Goat sex:

http://www.google.com/trends?q=goat+sex&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all

Boy sex:

http://www.google.com/trends?q=boy+sex&ctab=1&geo=all&date=all

Shouldn't your religion prevent such things?

Just wondering.

Sincerely,

some of the reaction to Naseem's piece has reminded me of what (i think) Gary said recently - we need to be careful not to provide this site's enemies with ammunition to use against it.
while i enjoy seeing Naseem's Borg-like 'resistence is futile' comments being so severely dealt with, falling into rage and abusiveness is, like collateral damage, not good.
it may come back to hurt this site, and
it probably gives Naseem a feeling of satisfaction, in that he has been able to do his bit for jihad by coming in here and upsetting the infidels (or kuf, or whatever he calls us when he is laughing with his friends).
clearly, we do not wish to be absorbed into the collective, but we just need to remember to say it in the best way we can, according to our abilities.

M Al-Content, you have a point.

Conversely, if by just being blonde and kafur I can be that worrying to them, maybe I should just smile and have a nice drink on their behalf. A cold micro-brewed beer, I should think. Cheers!

Goldie, a thought - is there a Blonde Pride Day ? perhaps there should be ? to be 'the epitome of kafur' is something to be proud of ! (i used to be blonde, back when i had hair....!)

No, M Al-Content, I don't think one exists yet but I think we need to start one. What's that saying? If we can't be role models, we'll have to be bad examples! :)

Naseem, as you may know in law, ignorance is no excuse. It avails nothing to claim that you did not intend to be racist, when the content of your post was clearly and unequivocally racist. Ironically Muslims claim people opposed to Islam are racist (which is irrational), so even by Islamic criteria your comments are racist.

I think your comments should be deleted as hate speech personally.

M Al-Content, I totally agree with you. We must spell out the rational reasons for our opposition and not just spit feathers, no matter how repulsive some Muslims posters are.
Play the long game!
