I was an expert witness in this case. It is appalling that the Supreme Court would allow this course to continue, after decades of relentless uprooting of any Christian display in the public schools. The suit challenged the content of a seventh-grade history course at Excelsior Middle School in Byron in the fall of 2001. The teacher, using an instructional guide, told students they would adopt roles as Muslims for three weeks to help them learn what Muslims believe.
She encouraged them to use Muslim names, recited prayers in class, had them memorize and recite a passage from the Quran and made them give up something for a day, such as television or candy, to simulate fasting during the month of Ramadan. The final exam asked students for a critique of elements of Muslim culture.
The students and parents who sued argued that the class activities had crossed the line from education into an official endorsement of a religious practice. A federal judge and the appeals court disagreed, saying the class had an instructional purpose and the students had engaged in no actual religious exercises.
This is an outrage.
Every city and school should put a creche where they please then. Use this case as evidence of favoring one religion over another.

The mission statement for this court (according to its website) says "The mission of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is to provide an important forum for the just and prompt resolution of cases through the uniform and coherent application of the Constitution and laws of the United States of America".

How about if Johnny and Suzy learn about Hinduism for three weeks? After all this religion is followed by at least a billion people. So to get started they should adopt Hindu names. Learn to wear eastern clothing. Take a dip in the nearest river while pretending it’s the Ganges River. Above all establish daily prayers in the morning after washing, pray to the idols of Ram, Krishna, and Ganesha, the elephant headed god. It would be advised for the students to have these god idols on their desks so they can worship them whenever they feel like it. And also absolutely no meat for three weeks, no hot dogs, no burgers, no fries cooked in lard, no eggs, and no fish. Let’s see what the people will think after these exercises.
What prayers are said? Is the Profession of Faith one of those things which is said? Do little boys and girls say the Shehada, and are then told "now you have done what everyone has to do to become a Muslim" and if so, is this done under the beaming eye of the teacher, and do the children return home, full of stories about "I recited this prayer and if I want, I can be a Muslim" or "I did just what Muslims do, mom, and it's really neat" or "I really like those prayers, they're just kinda like our prayers so I think the teacher is right, all religions are just the same" or [fill in the seemingly innocent, in reality quite dangerous nonsense, those helpless little heads, a captive audience of their teachers, whether of the terminally naive variety, or the sinister sort (who suggested this lesson plan? who's been pushing it?).
Neither the judges in the courts below, nor the Justices of the Supreme Court, know a thing about Islam. They may not realize the psychological effect, on young children, of having them participate in such a way by not merely studying -- that is one thing, if the studying is not simply the usual apologetics and nonsense, focussed on such trivia as Ramadan and Iftar, and the upright "family values" of Muslms (tell that to Muhammad's Jewish concubine, whose husband, father, brother were killed by Muhammad, or to his Coptic concubine/wife, or to little Aisha, and all the little child-brides of today, legalized in Iran and elsewhere, because of Muhammad as the model), but rather on the core of Islam that matters so much: the uncompromising division of the world between Believer and Infidel, and the endless war between them which stops only when all obstacles to the dominance of Islam everywhere end, and everywhere Muslims rule.
Would the Supreme Court allow similar indoctrination into any other religion? Would it permit schools to insist that all schoolchildren should study, say, the Baltimore Catechism, and learn to provide the teacher, in a public school, with the memorized answers from that Catechism? How long would that be permitted? Ten seconds?
Where is the ACLU on this? How silly of me to ask, how pointless to wonder.
Like the Executive branch, with tarbaby Iraq, like Congress, which is divided between those who support Bush blindly and those who oppose him equally blindly, with only a handful who see the truth -- and wait -- the Judicial branch of our government thinks it can deal with questions involving Islam without comprehending Islam, without comprehending the psychology of a child who may be affected, permanently, by a cute little experiment in international living, or rather in a sinister, not innocent, attempt to manipulate minds.
This has to be reconsidered. Seen any articles on Hindus lately? On Buddhists? On Sikhs? Why not? Or are all those other, peaceful, entirely unhostile to the political, legal, and moral institutions of the Western world, for that very reason, to be treated as non-existent or uninteresting?

Muslim prayers often do contain variants of the usual declaration that there is not God but Allah and Muhammed is his prophet. Once you've said these words, YOU ARE A MUSLIM! Lets say that there is a teacher in some Northern California school system.
Lets say that this school is going to devote three weeks, three days, whatever to the 'study' of Islam.
Lets say that the little towheads are going to dress and eat and act as little Muslims.
At some point, this teacher is handed the lesson plans. The teacher must follow these 'religiously'.
Lets say that this person happens to be, besides being a teacher, a Muslim.

Playing by the same rules is obviously not being observed in this ruling. Favoritism and preferential treatment to Islam at the American taxpayers' expense is not the way to educate students for the future, nor is it the way to promote equality in American society.
The fallout from this illogical and incompetent ruling from the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco remains to be seen.
The underlying message is clear: religious bias does exist in the American justice system.
Actually, the Supreme Court made it look like they are pro-Islamic simply by refusing to hear this case. This is inexcusable, but there is a good chance that had they taken it up, they might have tossed out the Ninth Circuit Court decision. But then again, this is the court that ruled that al Qaeda thugs are entitled to the Geneva convention protection, so it's not totally inconsistant with them.
So does SCOTUS stand for the Shariah Court Of The United States? With the Judiciary and the President both sucking up to Islam, is there nobody who will prevent us from becoming an Islamic state? Since this course is now legal, here's an idea. Infidel students go to class armed, with the stated goal of waging a jihad. If not a gun, maybe a sword, with the purpose of doing a beheading. They then, along the lines of recent school shootings, mow down the teachers and staff who promoted this program. When the school supervisors visit, they get slaughtered as well. Law endorcement should specifically do nothing about that, since after all, Jihad is an essential element of Islam, and since it is constitutional for Islam to be taught in school (and this course included a 'wage your own jihad'), the kids should do practical classes and act upon it. Repeat the exercise on Ninth Circuit Court and ACLU members (I'm sure there are enough Jewish 'apes/rats' there for them to act on their Jihad). After they have wiped out all the pro-Islamic faculty and NEA and education board members, they move to a different school that doesn't have these courses.
If they do get hauled up before court, cite Quran 9:5, 9:29, 8:39, 2:193. I'm sure the latter 2 verses aren't an establishment clause of Islam any more than this decision is.

I cant speak for the rest but as a Hindu in Malaysia. Islamic studies is popular here, it is embeded in the national curriculum from primary 1. This is a compulsary subject.
For non muslims, they were options for only Bible Studies but that was during my parents time (Yes, we stayed here for generations). I could hardly find any Bible studies in public schools anymore.
But regardless of religion, Non Muslims must take Moral Studies & believe me, this subject is utterly crap - like helping a cat when injured & that sort of ****. They make it so hard & we have to use the right keywords for the right situation.
Both Muslims & Non Muslim must Study History, 1/4 of the time on Islamic Civilization.
1 thing I concluded from these education was Islam saved the world. They spread peacefully & was done by the Arabs. Even if you dont believe in the islamic prophet, you loose marks for ommiting the word 'prophet'. Now failing this subject means failing the entire examinations. hello people i believe we can use this to our advantage, they want to teach kids about islam let help them, i think it will be a incredible opportunity to teach this kids about islam and the evil cult it is and represent. let get involved, get Robert books to the parent let help the distroy themselves. when the kids start asking tough questions let see whats happens.

islam is evil.
As a lawyer, I am simply horrified by this.
During my first year at law school, on the last day of class, one of my professors gave a stunning lecture. He described his journey into and through the law, which began in World War II.
He emphasized our obligations to civilization, and cautioned us that: "The rule of law failed once already in this [20th] century. It failed in NAZI Germany, and the lawyers and the judges helped it fail. Be careful you don't let it fail again."
I see it failing right before my eyes, every day. And the lawyers and the judges are helping it to fail. Some of them even know what they are doing.
God help us.
